my dog took a bad turn so had to rush him to vets, he ended up messing all over vet waiting room floor i ended up on my knees crying as i cleaned it up this lovely old couple kept trying to help, emotions got better of me, thought his kidneys had flared up again but its a severe gastro infection only problem is hes contagious and ive been warned as im so close to giving birth to be very careful!! so now hoping baby stays in until its cleared up!!!

beckyg123 · 06/07/2010 15:44

Yeh MLIC hope things don't take too long! you really are going for it with the house work! you just distracting yourself? remember to keep some energy for pushing! lol!

stac thats a great idea about finding a class once we're all confident with LOs and getting out and about

Oh Memphis your poor doggy is there anyone that can look after him if baby makes an appearance soon?

Glas i got some gardening done earlier- its pouring now! going to go to bed for a wee sleep... might try getting into another book as i finished one this morning.

Oooh MLIC will keep my eye out for updates- wonder if you or Stac will pop out our next arrival?
I can't be bothered to walk the dog and I am definately NOT in labour so am dead impressed!!

Memphis- poor dog, hope he/he gets well soon and you do not have to get too up close and personal with the poops!

Well I have conquered a personal fear today and visited the hygienist with only a few drops of rescue remedy for help, labour should be a breeze after that!!

Chulita · 06/07/2010 16:19

mlic I've been feeling like I'm betraying DD by having another. Have to remember that in a coupla months we won't be able to imagine life without our second baby.

Afternoon all!

Sadly no baby here yet - on the plus side I had my first good night's sleep for 4 days, but on the bad side all the pains stopped

Midwife came to see me this afternoon and has booked me in for a sweep on my due date, although she said she thinks baby will be here in the next 2 or 3 days. I think she may well have just been trying to cheer me up though!

mlic good luck! I hope that labour is short and sweet for you!

Hope everyone else is having a good day.

mlic so excited for you! was telling dp that one of the women off my group is in labour and he was very impressed that you could keep us updated while in labour!lol! seriously though i think you should try and relax for a little while and keep your energy and strength up. although i've never done labour before so haven't a clue what i'd do! ah its getting so exciting!
stac best of luck for tomorrow hun!!!! you'l have a beautiful little daughter by this time tomorrow! hope it all goes well xx
my phone is starting to drive me silly! hasn't stopped all day long 'any sign' 'any baby'. my mother has rang 3 times! grrr! and she's giving out sayin that everybody is ringing her even her customers to ask is she a granny yet and she says its making it seem so long.so i said imagine how its going to make me feel! ya'd swear i was going to forget to ring them! its lovely on the other hand though that everyone is so excited! im stil pretty calm although id say by the weekend i'l start climbing the walls.
have hospital check up in the morning so i'll ask for a sweep and see will they do one.if you dont ask you dont get!
becky and stac no didnt get round to doing the painting as theres been people coming and going all day. might take into it tommorrow.

Chulita · 06/07/2010 17:31

Ok, can you all please tell me to stop getting my hopes up.

I've had random tightenings all day, a few this morning but then loads this afternoon. I've also had a few rather painful twinges right down in my pelvic area. I've been getting the tightenings regardless of whether I'm sitting/standing/walking but I went for a short walk with DH and they were stronger then. The thing is they're not painful, they just take my breath away sometimes and they're very random and I haven't had a show. They also don't have an obvious start/finish iyswim, they come on gradually and then fade.

I've been getting stupidly excited thinking maybe tonight something's going to happen but the sensible side of me says it's just rubbish...

Argh! Why is this LO teasing me?!
Sorry for those of you on the August thread too, just needed to maximise the amount of people telling me to calm down

All the best for tomorrow Stac - Arnica has really helped me heal. xxx

DesperateHousewife21 · 06/07/2010 18:58

chulita I've been having those random tightenings too they don't hurt but can be quite uncomfy. It would be nice if it meant our LOs are coming soon!

Hope things are progressing well for u mlic good luck

Chulita · 06/07/2010 19:06

Yea, I've been having them off and on for several days now, it's just that today I've had them all day and more and more often. Argh! I just need to leave my body to it, I'm hardly going to miss labour! Got reflexology booked for tomorrow afternoon so I'll see if she can give LO a tickle.

Good luck for tomorrow stac!

And hope things are under control mlic.

Can't wait to hear from both of you soon

kkfairybrains · 06/07/2010 19:14

chulita thats exactly the way i was on sunday.all day long and they were getting closer together and longer in length.they got to 5 mins apart and were very uncomfortable but not painful and guess what.............im still here!nothing since!lol! i had myself half convinced it was the start though!wishful thinking . i've started getting them this evening again but not expecting anything of them

DesperateHousewife21 · 06/07/2010 20:50

Yeah I get them everyday but they are so random and infrequent not to mention painless I try to ignore them.

I've been getting them tonight but as I've been having them since about 20 weeks they don't excite me lol.

memphis83 · 06/07/2010 21:37

mlic see you on the other side!!
wonder if it will be stac or mlic next? the race is on
been having pains all afternoon, just popped into asda on way from visiting gran in hospital and had a bad pain in the queue, stupid checkout woman was dawdling and i ended up crying out please will you HURRY UP!! chatting away to another member of staff when im clearly white as a sheet doubled over, sods law that was worse pain and as usual they are subsiding now! this will go on for another week im sure!!
sadly no one could look after dog if needs be as they all have kids or dogs themselves, hes feeling so sorry for himself hes staying out the way anyway!
hope you all get good nights sleep! its muggy as hell here weve had no rain!

stac14 · 06/07/2010 23:03

evening all, i've not read through everything as i am back online on my phone lol. I'm in bed, trying to settle in. Mw put canula in back of my hand and managed to soak me in blood. Had a v.shaky moment and new jammys got blood on them, she washed them though. Op should be 8.30am, hope mlic is over by then cos that would be cruel.

memphis you poor love. Hope dogs ok. Hope this pain is eventually turning into something

Hows the pain been chulita? The stopping and starting must be so hard for you all. Thinking of you kk, dh and norky

Thanks for the tip jojo i got the capsules and the cream so glad to hear it helps. Hows things your end? Is dd loving her little bro? X
