morning everyone :-) how r u all? just thought id nip on and say quick hi before heading out to work :-(

i realised most of you have stated where your from due date and age, well i dont have offical due date yet as waiting for scan but it should be mid feb if my calculations are right :-) im 25 and from cumbria

still feelng fine and did yet another test this morning just to make sure 11 home tests and 1 docs test and yes still positive i really should stop wasting my money and accept and going to be a mummy again :-)

Morning all. I had another awful night with insomnia last night and DD is being really clingy at the moment and climbing all over me. Was meant to go to my mum's house today but too tired to drive. Bless my next door neighbour, she just came around out of the blue and asked if we wanted her to take DD for a walk! I think she must be psychic

I honestly don't know how any of you can make it to work, all I want to do is sleep!

Having been lurking on both threads I thought it was about time I outed myself!
Had a scan this morning - 6w 3d and a teeny tiny heartbeat. Yay!

I'm an old bird so have booked in for a nuchal fold scan at the Fetal Med Centre for 6th August.

I can't believe I'm posting this as dd1 was IVF and we were told it couldn't happen naturally for us. I'm now a big fan of Five Elements Acupuncture!

Due c.19th Feb, I'm 41 (gulp), and, god willin', this'll be #2.

Hi everyone! Ahh that sounds so lovely choc, I had a scan recently and saw a teeny little heartbeat, I got very teary and felt incredibly proud as well

Got another scan tomorrow (weekly scans due to previous mcs).

Is anyone else not eating very much? I'm drinking loads of water and squash, but have no appetite or feel sick so can't face eating. When I do eat it is usually crap like biscuits and crisps

Hello everyone - back from Glastonbury Festival and just caught up with all the messages. Thanks for everyone who has updated the stats...

I'm feeling huge at the moment - one of my sisters friends guessed i was pg from the size of my bump over the weekend! I'm also totally knackered at the moment - the heat seems to be sapping me of any energy at all. Can't imagine what it would be like to be 8 months pregnant rather than 8 weeks!!

Cler - safest place to give birth is the hospital carpark ? you never hear of it going wrong there?!

I am planning to shut my door in a min at work and have a snooze! Its hot and I'm exhausted! Also I might need to undo the top button on my trousers as they are digging in now! Have a littel pot belly bt I think thats down to bloating and constipation rather than baby at this stage!!

Seeing the midwife next week, still nothing on a scan date but will just have to wait and see!

I am finding the heat draining!

Hi Choc I'm 40 and the same thing happened to me - failed ivf, then bam! natural preg as soon as we gave up! This will be our first though...

Has anybody seen the Chinese Pregnancy Calendar? It supposedly tells you if you are havinga boy or a girl! it says I'm having a boy...

Might be fun for us all to do it and lookat the stats afterwards in February to see how accurate it was?

What do you think? Or will it add to much to our stats thread?

Hello everyone - I am feeling EXHAUSTED! I am finding those seaband things are helping with the nausea and if anyone is suffering from insomnia - 'Noctura' from Holland & Barratt is very good. It's a homeopathic remedy and perfectly safe in pegnancy.

I have my midwife appointment in a bit and I'm struggling to sit up on the sofa rather than lie down, let alone get to it. I'm also meant to be going out with friends tonight and with DH on thursday for his birthday .

GinaFB I know how you feel. I had to leave work before lunchtime today as I physically couldn't keep my eyes open.

I don't see how this can continue, or I'll have to give myself the sack - does the extreme tiredness get better after the first trimester?

i used the chinese calende when i was preg with DD and it said i was having a boy haha SHE is definitely a girl

also i dreamt i was having a boy and my friend did the ring test over my belly and that said i was having a boy aswell!! can be fun guessing though

i spoke to the hospital earlier who have given me my scan date for next tuesday

weird thing is, i did this psychic thing the other day and it said there will be a lovely surprise for you and your husband on a tuesday fingers crossed eh!!

Sorry to hear you're still not feeling so good Angels - it's pretty bad isnt it. My husband thinks I'm loving the attention thsi nausea brings but yesterday was a bad day. he had his brother and friend round playing Fifa whilst I lay upstairs on the bed with nausea. I felt for the first time when I got up yesterday that I could have vomited but didn't and the feeling barely went all day. When they were downstairs I began feeling so sorry for myself and just broke down crying. It's horrible isn't it. We've tried for so long to fall pregnant and now we have we should be enjoying it but it's so hard to when you feel crap all the time! Also, in my day by day pregnancy book it says how exercise is important at this stage, well, I can barely imagine many women feeling all spritely and full of energy at this stage. Nausea and tiredness is rife! So, no darling husband, I am not enjoying the attention this nausea brings me at all. I wish it away! Can you go back to the GP to enquire about more anti sickness meds?? I'm debating in my mind whether to ask for a sick note for next week or to just see how I go. The thought of walking onto the nursing wards for 7am kills me, mornings are not good for me right now! Fortunately tho, no sickness so I shouldn't complain too much.

angels & tabbycat76 you poor things. I really feel for you. So far I have been lucky with just mild nausea, mainly in the car but I just feel for you. Keeping my fingers crossed that as soon as you hit 12 weeks it goes!

tabby I'd get signed off, the worry of having to get up and get into work and then get though a working day just won't help your stress levels. Plus with 2 to look after its all the more important.

I've been lurking a while as well and finally feel like posting won't jinx this! I'm 7w6 today and am feeling relieved I've almost made it to 8 weeks. I've been exhausted and nauseated the last 2 weeks (and the nausea seems to be worse when I'm tired - which is all the time now).

Is anyone trying to keep up an exercise programme? I've tried to drag myself back to the gym after a holiday - managed once last week - but my motivation completely goes in the afternoon. I bought 3 new pairs of trousers less than a week before my + and now they won't button. Considering my diet of mostly simple carbs and ginger biscuits, I can't say I'm surprised.

I'll check out the chinese calender - tho with two in there either way it could be right, haha! My mums a firm believer in the way you carry your baby and the ring test over the belly button. I'm not convinced myself but no doubt in time she'll be wanting to spin that ring and guess from how I'm carrying them! These old wives tales are mad!

I love the old wives tales! I have a girl in my office who is convinced she knows, last time she was right with a girl, she thinks boy this time but reserves the right to change her mind!
