sweetnitranito and honeywitch - I think I shall become an honary cambridgeshire lass as there's noone yet here from suffolk and I'm so close to cambs anyway! I used to do midwifery at Hinchingbrooke and have a best mate still working there. It's not a bad unit at all, small and intimate so care will be good. As for the Rosie, I've never been there but used to also work at Bury (West Suffolk Hosp) and we had a lot of people have their first at the Rosie and then came to Bury for their subsequent. They reported back that the Rosie was very much like a conveyor belt and very busy with shared midwives when in labour. Given the choice of Hinch or Rosie, my choice would be Hinch every time or Bury if you're that side of Cambs. Some local girls, ah, nice to see!
I must admit I'm not too afraid of the delivery and labour. If I stick to twins, I'll elect for a section as it'd be awful to have a normal delievry of the first and then have something go wrong that the second would need to be delivered by section. If it becomes a singleton pregnancy then, well, I guess I'll go with it. I used to always say whilst we were trying for a baby that I couldn't wait to feel the pain! Haha, hmm, I may sound a bit crazy for thinking that now!
Chloe - really sorry to hear your news about your friend. I guess what should seem like the best time in your life has become overshadowed by such tragic news but I bet your friend is thrilled with your news and it'll be a good distraction for her. I hope all goes well for her and yourself. Thinking of you. xx
Well, the nausea is subsiding and I'm in the process of cooking a whole host of veggies - I have a craving (tho not a preg craving) for veggies at the mo so lots of roasted veg and potatoes, peas etc. Yummy. Must be my body telling me something!
