Hi everyone, been away for ages but finally had my follow up scan and everything looking good apart from being a week behind where I thought I ought to be.
DH doesn't get the tiredness/nausea thing really. He came home the other day - said he was going to change into something more comfy and then went and had a nap. He couldn't understand why I was cross when he came down 2 hours later!! I want to eat healthy food, so don't want to leave cooking to him (would just get frozen pizza or ready meals) but he could have helped a bit! Grrr... rant over
Had my booking appt with my community midwife who was lovely. She came out to my house - hope she doesn't shop us to social services due to mess (lots of DIY ongoing) She is going to refer us for combined screening (Nuchal and blood tests) which we can have for free, but have been talking to DH and not sure about having it, as could never consider a termination.
Better stop now as this is going on a bit...

Knitter am genuinely devastated for you, you really did look after us all on this thread, really hope you're back on an antenatal thread soon.
It's so upsetting when people leave, especially as we are all getting further on, and sometimes I think reading the threads just makes the worry worse.
Saying that, we get lovely news and lovely scan pictures too, and the support is great.
Sorry, am a bit emotional this morning, angels I was crying too - this is what happens when I am on a day off in the house by myself!

Oh knitter I came on here today to wonder how you were doing I'm so sorry / upset to hear your news as you were my geographical and due date buddy!

I really hope you take time to recover properly and that things work out for you in the future.

Lots of love

Lulabel27 · 23/07/2010 13:50

PS: In knitter like fashion, I'll start a new thread in ante-natal as we're up to 980 messages so very near our 1,000 limit...

Please look out for it and start to post there. Once I've done it, I'll post a link on this thread...

The new forum is here Feb 2011

KnitterNotTwitter · 23/07/2010 20:42

Just to say that I'm doing ok and thanks for all your wonderful messages of love and support. My family and friends are being great, and I'm sure that time will be the greatest healer. I'm sure I will be on another anti-natal thread soon...

I may occasionally lurk on your new thread(s) but I won't post... I will think of you all (especially Feb next year) and wish you all the happiness in the world.

That's so kind Knitter - best of health and luck to you from Oregon. xxx

knittakid · 24/07/2010 12:30

That is very good of you Knitter, and likewise you should tell us the good news when they happen. Lots of love.

Honeywitch · 27/07/2010 20:10

Sorry to hear your news Knitter.

Give yourself some time - I thought I was doing ok, but suddenly had a bizarre episode at work dong a presentation, where I couldn't recognise words? Could see the letters but not read them. Couldn't drive either - someone kindly drove me home. Later found out my dp had walked out of work too - he was a lot more affectefd than we thought. Had a big cry together about our baby - before it was all rationalisation about how good it was to know we could get preg at 40 and 50.

Trying again - wish us luck!

I was particularly sorry to hear about knitter because of all the support she gives on here. Also am in deep admiration of anyone with the patience to knit - it drives me wild!!! lol

That's so nice of you honeywitch, crossing all fingers and toes that it works for you again really soon. Come and let us know on the february thread as we'd love to keep in touch.
