Oh I'm so sorry honeywitch. You have such a healthy attitude to it though and hope all the lovely kittens are well.

earlgreyismynectar I'm glad I'm not the only one that has put on nearly a stone already....I really really can't stop eating...I feel so sick if I don't. Already today I've had a roll and marmite, a piece of jam on toast, a bowl of corn flakes, a mouthful of macaroni cheese and some potato chips....and it's only 10:15 (eeek). Still, I find I feel rubbish in the morning until I've had a few different things to eat...then I perk up a bit.

knitternottwitter my yarn and knitting needle has arrived already Can't wait to start on the blanket, and the yarn feels so lovely and soft - must be the cashmere in it.

Speaking of OHs eating cereal in bed - I can ttrump that! Last night DH brought some raspberries into bed to eat...this morning I notice there are bright pink stains ALL OVER the duvet from this munching. [shakes head with despair]. It's my favourite duvet set, was clean on yesterday and is cream - so really obvious. I don't have the energy of will to change sheets again so soon (and frankly, DH should do it, not me!) so have resigned myself to have horrible stained sheets

Chloe55 · 17/07/2010 11:22

I am so sorry Honeywitch. Glad you have the cute kittens to help ease your thoughts a little.

Talking dh. They way he speaks is annoying me at the moment. Not what he 'says' how he actually says it! He keeps adding a kind of lisp type thing, I have noticed it a couple of times before but either he is doing it more or I am just more aware of it now but it effing annoys me so much!!!! Annnndd....relax.

knittakid · 17/07/2010 12:04

Yes leelteloo, sorry, it's my first time so don't know what's normal and what isn't. I don't know if it'll happen again, but it's a meeting where they gave us a whole load of leaflets and forms to fill in before the booking in.

I could normally so join in with the DH ranting, but he's been great so far (touch wood). Three months ago would have had a whole lot of complaints, and I think there is a record on some of the TTC threads...

ledkr · 17/07/2010 15:45

Ha ha at the rasberries knitter. what is this strange obsession with food in bed my theory is this, i go to bed quite early now so he wants to come up too but really doesnt want to waste valuable grazing time so brings food up.I had a"chat" with him yesterdaY RE the price of food and the amount he consumes but this morning he took to work...2 bananas 2 oranges and 2 apples half a loaf of bread and tin of tuna and beans. My friend has come up with a fab idea. Go to one of the cheap supermarkets Aldi or Lidl and buy lots of cheap but bulky food and fruit n veg on offer i protested at this point that i am funny with food at the mo and therefore need few things i cant buy there eg nice biscuits etc.so buy them and hide them-so petty-and than dont replace when its gone. I think its a good idea and im not sure if dh will be so keen to eat three bowls of "harvest morn" cardboard flakes.DD is bored today and i am getting constant"look at me,this picture,me do cartwheels etc.but after a trip to cinema, a ballet class, shopping in nice shops she likes and some food out then baking a cake i have just put my foot down and told her to amuse herself for a bit. It will be so nice for her to have a sibling.
Just realised my son goes into the army and the ceromony is the day after my trip to Harley St which may or maynot involve cvs so wont be able to go if it does. What a nightmare.

smallblackflowers · 17/07/2010 17:52

honeywitch so sorry to hear your sad news . All the very best for the future. [hugs]

sweetnitriano I haven't read any tandem feeding literature yet, but know there is a section dedicated to it on the kellymom website, and will probably be leaving it a bit nearer the time before doing any reading in case DD decides to give up, or there are problems with the pregnancy.

I've been feeling really crappy for the last couple of days - nearly passed out a number of times today, and really nauseous too. All this whilst my pregnancy week by week book is telling me I should be starting to feel better. DH very kindly ran me a bath this afternoon and took DD out to the supermarket so that I could try and feel a bit better.

smallblackflowers · 17/07/2010 17:53

ooh ledkr I can totally recommend the harvest morn cheerios, and their museli is pretty good too.

ledkr · 17/07/2010 19:32

haha that so funny sbf. We used to shop there a lot and dh used to text me "how r u this fine harvest morn?"lol.
Sorry you are feeling ill. I have gone a bit giddy a few times but both times was sort leaning on the kitchen table so didnt fall.Felt quite sick this am (havent had much)biscuit n tea sorts it out tho. Also have noticed some slight heartburn so im sure that will only get worse. I used to feel like a fire breathing dragon with dd.
Dh has lost some more points today as if things can get worse. Meant to finish at 5 came in at 7 no phone call and i couldnt get hold of him. He is a copper so not much i can do about it really. Anyway ds 23 text me to say is puking red and he is the one with kidney probs. then i cant get hold of him for another 2 hrs didnt have car and a and e not answering phone.Shitting myself here. Dh came in about ten mins ago and has shot straight back out to check on ds who lives about 20 mins away so am just waiting.

wigglesrock · 17/07/2010 20:14

ledkr hope ds is ok and you are breathing calmly My dh has the same job as yours and it is such a pain in the bum when you can't get hold of them, he also takes an insane amount of food with him to work!! Seriously not much fun when he has come in and eaten all the cheese at 3am!

ledkr · 17/07/2010 21:09

OMG does he really? must be the job!!DS is fine thanks had gone to bed feelng rough but was not in itu as i had imagined.
You will wish you hadntcome on here tonight cos i have just had first serious row ever with dh.money is really tight this month and we are off to london in two wks for ds screening which will cost a lot and may involve overnight stay.I am already over drawn but he has money left.So he then announces that he may go to Milton Keynes for a bloody sking lesson on Tuesday. I asked him how much it costs as we are abit skint and he went off on one pointing out that he never does anything and gives me x amount of money which with my wages should be enough. I then spout off a massive list of what i pay including dd ballet brownies and the uniform plus childcare for her after school. itold him that although she wasnt his natural child i was managing to pay all that on my own pre him and would not be cutting down now i am with him. God how spitefull it got.All i wanted him to do was check the price. Anyway i just did and its LOADS he is now being a martyr and saying its ok i wont go. Also pointed out that i am moody these days. I asked him if he had noticed that this had occurred in the last 11 WEEKS and i wondered why that maybe.I feel really upset now cos just want to tell him to f off but feel trapped cos im pregnant. Sorry for the rant i just had to tell someone...are you well today btw

wigglesrock · 17/07/2010 21:49

God Ledkr, horrible timing and money such a horrible thing to fight about, I seethe quietly when discussing money with dh, actually feel crap when he "gives" me money at the end of the month, my wages are poor and I also buy all the girls bits and bobs, feckin gymnastics etc, uniforms, clothes, his fecking huge grocery consumption doesn't help You have an awful lot on your mind, a lot of big days, scans coming up, lots of worry, maybe big decisions, give yourself a break, moody I'll show him moody!!!

I fight with everyone especially my mother (although she might deserve it )before a scan, pregnancy milestones etc, nerves and a million what-ifs. Take care of yourself and if he annoys you again, tell him to talk to me, moody indeed

ledkr · 17/07/2010 22:43

Thank wriggles you made me laugh out loud and sounds like we got same moans n groans.. so true about their massive food consumption. I made cake today with dd we had to hide it. Did the maths re what I pay etc and shoved it in front of him! going to take mates advice and buy cheap food from aldi. Far too moody for Morrisons. Goodnight

debka · 17/07/2010 23:46

Bloody pub next door having a bloody party can't bloody sleep cos of the bloody music, got to travel 900 miles tomorrow so REALLY need to sleep. V cross. Thought I'd come on in my crossness and say goodbye all, see you in 6 weeks, that's if I don't go to the pub and strangle them all them get banged up for 100 years. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

angels1 · 18/07/2010 09:08

lol at DHs eating us out of house and home - I agree with this (although in fairness I'm giving DH a run for his money at the moment). Brought a loaf of bread on Friday and DH already eaten it all singlehandedly! ANd the amount of chocolate/junk he eats yet stays so slim is totally unfair.

debka I live next to a pub too and I really sympathise - I'm attached next to the pub and the walls are really thin and they were noisy with me last night too. It's not just the music through the walls, it's the drunken shouting in the street and smoking outside wafting into the house all the time And it's only a 'country village' pub, so shouldn't be too noisy!

Have been feeling quite rubbish still this week end...feels like it's never ending...will be 9 weeks tomorrow...hope it doesn't keep getting worse.

oh knitters, have started the blanket but the pattern talks about 'right side' and 'wrong side' and I don't know what this means - do I need to do it back to front (right to left instead of left to right) or just continue next row as usual? Have done the outer 16 rows, but have had to pull apart other rows as was going a bit wrong

knittakid · 18/07/2010 11:58

Hi angels1 with some patterns right and wrong side are just a decision you make at the begining, but it might say knit in one side, then purl on the other, and the purl is normally the wrong side (sorry, this might be misleading without knowing the pattern). In any case you just take the needle and change them from the hands that were holding them and carry on. Oh dear, this does not make sense, this website might help: www.knittinghelp.com/videos/knitting-tips
Have a nice trip debka

ledkr · 18/07/2010 13:05

Been catching up on mumsnet classics some are so funny I have been crying with laughter. Taken my mind off dh and annoying habits! as I slide towards end of first trimester I am finding it more interesting to think of other things than pregnancy. how nice. Wonder where professor layton went to. she helped me a lot when thinking about screening I do hope all is ok

ledkr · 18/07/2010 18:14

Argh just been swimming and caught sight of my legs in the mirror. Talk about cellulite! My arse is also enormous(more enormous than before)Really must do something before it gets too late.Might join slimming world to maintain things a bit.Someone else on here was talking about it but cant remember who. Nobody on here today i expect you are all doing interesting things or being sick. Speak soon

sweetnitanitro · 18/07/2010 18:18

I am doing neither . Well, I did have a nice afternoon off, I went to the cinema to see that new Twilight movie with my mate, think we were the only non-teenagers in there!

My hips have also got a bit bigger, either that or all my knickers have suddenly shrunk in the wash I've been weighing myself though and I don't seem to have put on any weight. My mum says my face has got rounder too I've got a massive face and a massive bum.

ledkr · 18/07/2010 19:18

It's like when you lose weight and people say''you lost it in your face'' and you think. does that mean i had a big fat face? planned nice day but dd has moaned non stop. don't know what's wrong with her

sweetnitanitro · 18/07/2010 19:44

That reminds me, when I was expecting DD I was very sick, especially in the first few weeks, and I ended up losing a couple of pounds. Then a total stranger at the hairdresser said I must be having a girl because I was carrying a lot of extra weight around my hips cheeky woman! I'm only a size 12 as well. Hmph.

cler · 18/07/2010 20:22

Hi ledkr, i go to slimming world but i havnt really stuck to the diet for a few weeks because iv been eating all the wrong foods all the time to stop me feeling so sick. Im determined im not going to gain all my weight back because it used to get me really down and embarrased. I might think about starting aqua aerobics once a week. Before i was preg i was at gym every other day but i just feel knackered all the time now.

sweetnitanitro · 18/07/2010 20:24

cler are there any aquanatal classes near you? I went to them the first time when I was pregnant and they were brilliant if you don't mind doing pelvic floor exercises en masse

wigglesrock · 18/07/2010 20:43

Evening all- thought I would share in my delight at finding my "will always make you feel better food" Eggs!! Strange I can't eat eggs at the best of times, obviously Easter being the exception but went to my mums this am and she gave me a boiled egg, was just about to violently refuse having been ill earlier when I thought mmm looks nice, so enjoyed it and no repercussions(?) Very impressed, please no warnings about eggs in pregnancy. Have my booking appt with m/w tomorrow pm, quite nervous, recently moved house, new doctors surgery, new midwives, giving birth in a different hospital so feel a tad out of my depth, also with previous dds had midwifery led care, no drs, only 2 scans etc but not sure if new hospital does midwifery led. Anyway may need distraction may go for a nosy at baby name threads- guaranteed to brighten up an evening, bit of a giggle Hope you are having a better evening Ledkr

ledkr · 18/07/2010 22:46

Cler me too have been to gym 3 x in last month and each time felt terrible and had pink discharge so thought better stop. am going to start again at 14 wks although kids off school so quite hard. do you do same diet at s world? surely you don't lose weight? Griggles thanks. been better today shuffled money about and he can see things now. still not very partial to him tho! lol. did help everyone coming out of the greedy husband closet tho. Put it in perspective really! he is shopping tomorrow. night all.

tadjennyp · 19/07/2010 05:10

Sorry to hear about the bad news and hope to see you on new threads soon, girls. Just wanted to say hi as we have got back from our few days away. Had such a great time in Seattle and have wanted to go there since I watched Frasier. Great city! It was nice for dh to have a couple of days of work, too, as he does work really hard. Hope everyone is feeling better and getting more energy soon.

cler · 19/07/2010 08:06

They do aqua natel classes near me so i defo think i will give it a go. I go to the slimming world meeting every wee and have done since pregnant with my last 15 months ago and lost 7 stone but with feeling sick and tired all the time my heads not been into it for past few weeks but im going to get back on the diet plan and maybe i might lose weight ive put on over past few weeks or at least not put to much more on.
I cant believe i will be 12 weeks on wed and have my scan in a week, I think i will relax abit more once i see baby wriggling away on the scan.
