Well it was really a one-joke film, which is fine as it was a good one (if totally sick!), but as it was touted as a comedy I felt short changed.

OkieCokie · 15/06/2010 16:51

Oh, I feel right at home with all this paranoia!

CurlyCasper · 15/06/2010 16:54

rotticus if there are feet poking your ribs, he's moving Mine managed to give BIL's girlfriend a good, hard boot the other day. That's ma girl!

This RLT doesn't actually taste too bad. Herbal tea supplier gave me a warning that I might want to cut back if my uterus gets loosened up to the extent that the baby starts jumping around a lot. I just wondered if I would notice any difference, she's on the move so much. Apparently they are supposed to settle into a noticeable routine of movement at this stage (35 weeks). Again, I'm not sure I'd notice...

Love the FB thing BTW. Fail on so many levels!

CurlyCasper · 15/06/2010 16:56

Back on the film thing - I have a sick mind, so I guess that explains a lot. (that's not confused, that's deranged)

CurlyCasper · 15/06/2010 16:56

oh yes, we are all bonkers okie

Cosmosis · 15/06/2010 17:09

I also like LMS. And also Dan in Real Life which we saw the other day. I adore Steve Carrell. The amercan Office is a work of genuis.

Loving the mutual paranoia fest PESHlets, is making me feel much better

SilverSky · 15/06/2010 17:24

I am totally paranoid to infinity and beyond. Tis natural for a preggo.

Managed to snag myself a bargain or four from Pumpkin Patch fat birds maternity section.

I am watching some right old tosh called The Saddle Club on Horse & Country. Hilarious. Had I been about 12 I would be totalllleeeeeeeee addicted and want to fly to Oz to join The Saddle Club.

SomethingSuitablyWitty · 15/06/2010 17:47

Poor cas sorry to hear about the all new UTI. That sucks. They are so awful and I feel sure that they lie ahead for me, as I used to be quite prone a few years back. They really make one feel truly vile. But on a happier not, yes, lovely to be having girtles together!... and maybe okie too! Of course I still don't fully believe myself that I am definitely having a girl - I have decided to suspend full certainty until confirmation at the next scan. That sneaky baby could still have a trick or two up "his", erm, sleeve Anyway, the offer of sharing tips and even clothes is much appreciated though perhaps my location on the cont'nent might make the latter a bit too expensive to be worthwhile due to postage...Very sweet of you though and really appreciated.

Hurray for the paranoid Peshes. We are far too well informed. We Know Too Much. This is why boyfy threatens every so often to confiscate my pregnancy book, when I spout another morbid scenario...Little does he know that most of my wisdom is gleaned from mumsnet and cannot be taken away that easily.

Off to check off Poll's scan picture if poss... I have posted none of mine as they are a bit blurry and that, but I may if I can count on you all to be suitably admiring ...

SomethingSuitablyWitty · 15/06/2010 17:50

Fab picture polly. Really cute and clear. Everything looks perfect! It also confirms that mine are indeed blurry and I am probably having male triplets.

SilverSky · 15/06/2010 18:07

Do forgive me polls and twinks and pre diffed chicks - welcome to the head fuck that i. Motherhood to be!

Come share our menkulness and constant questionning!

Consultant today asked me if I felt ok, my response was I suppose so - it's my first so therefore I am assuming everything I am feeling is normal!

Cosmosis · 15/06/2010 18:51

polpot the messiah is truly beautiful. swits of course we will admire, post yours too!

I has posted a bump pic on tother place.

donttrythisathome · 15/06/2010 19:50

ski that's fab re the spinning babs. I did come across a website with different nappies but can't remember the name for the life of me. I bought lots of different types second hand and they were all lovely and good. I found the nappylady (type it into google) was good for suggesting nappies that might suit your baby. There's a questionnaire you can fill out and no obligation to buy. i didn't go with her suggestions though as just like the bumgenius so much but we did mostly use Motherease Diddy nappies for the first few weeks as they are nice and small and I got 20 of them for £15!!

Silver - how about this dress for the wedding? Also re the poo and nappies - I don't even bother with the liners. BF poo isn't really unpleasant and doesn't smell really. I just throw the nappies into the mesh bag in the bucket, throw the nappies (bag and all) into the washing machine and it all washes off. Hang them on a sock hanger drying thing over the banister/line/top of door and repeat!

swits - awww little girls are lovely - mainly as it's much easier to clean their little front bottoms than all that faffing around with boys bits.

Laurie - you doing an Evangelina Jolie on it with the clomid? All the sebs take it darlin'.

Am I mental to be jealous of you all being preggers??

donttrythisathome · 15/06/2010 19:51

slebs

donttrythisathome · 15/06/2010 19:54

Sorry, Diddys are made by Nature Babies. I got mine in an auction here

I'm starting to sounds like a nappy freak...

SomethingSuitablyWitty · 15/06/2010 21:57

Alright then - didn't take much encouragement. Tis done in other place...

don'ttry you big nappy freak you! You and the other converts here are gradually encouraging me to give serious thought to something I would otherwise absolutely not have considered....

SomethingSuitablyWitty · 15/06/2010 22:03

Fab pic cos by the way. Looking lovely. Very nice slimline bump!

Backinthebox · 15/06/2010 22:29

Just been on a horsey place where the previously anti-child lady I mentioned a few days ago has finally given birth (and acknowledged she most likely won't be back on her horse by the end of the week, even though she was adamant before that she would!) There's a real little coven of seriously bitchy anti-child women on there who have already turned her 'congratulations' thread into a 'yuk, gag, puke. Why does anyone at all have children, they are repulsive!' thread. I made a little comment about how they would never know what they are missing out on now get back to the congratulations, and I have been pounced on as being insensitive to women who can't have kids or who can't get a man! FFS! There are about 30-40 women over there who have horses and children co-existing happily, and about 5 women who are constantly harping on about 'reason 384960 not to have children' every time someone mentions them, and it's getting seriously draining. They managed to get kids banned from our annual training camp (hence why I don't go to it any more) because the no-kids shout louder and are more bitchy than the have-kids.

Backinthebox · 15/06/2010 22:31

Oh yes - Cos it is a very lovely bump you have. Are you trying to make the rest of us feel inadequate? I look like a beached whale atm. Still - less than 12 weeks to go now, hurray!

skihorse · 15/06/2010 22:38

switty If it helps you make up your mind at all - nappies are 3 times as expensive here as they would be in Tesco/Asda!

I'm just back from the pub where upon we took 2nd prize in the quiz due to my sheer brilliance of answering "Sweden" to almost every question. Anyway, I know the barmaid/owner from my previous stables. She told me that one of the biggest bitches at the old yard had a baby 5 months ago, sold the horse - cut off all her hair, doubled in size and is now the most boring woman on the planet. I don't think this has anything to do with becoming a mum per se, but having embraced the entire concept a little too fully. She's probably patronising people on the Dutch equivalent of mn and gearing up for 7 years of breastfeeding.

SilverSky · 15/06/2010 22:50

homebird now THAT is a seriously pukka dress. Like a lot. Wonder if it will cling to my mega butt? Thank you for looking for me. Totally appreciated!!

I found a fab sheer chiffon dress or long top number today in a lush colour and it fitted and it was in the sale. BUT what are the chances of it still fitting me in 6 weeks time?

Cosmosis · 16/06/2010 09:13

aww fanks for bump admiration I am very attached to it.

skihorse · 16/06/2010 09:18

Sooooo... donttry/cheggers - enquiring minds (i.e., mine) need to know, when are you planning to re-enter the BESH Palace? If you are.

I haz been asked to go to Germany this afternoon to represent the wimminz for water-skiing. Am sorely tempted but after last night's late night I can't do two in a row. I think Julian would be well up for it though.

OkieCokie · 16/06/2010 09:21

Hey, I just realised this is not a fucking list is indeed a list!

Grim reaper maybe visiting today, should find out if I am still gainfully employed, if we do in fact still have a UK operation at all or if I get made redundant! Should be all fun fun fun here today then.

Silver Isabella Oliver do some nice wedding stuff that could also be dressed down a bit for work.

TwinkleToes76 · 16/06/2010 09:57

Morning everyone

Day 3 of knowing I'm pregnant and already had first panic - had some painful cramping this morning and freaked out a bit. I know it's normal but this is how the miscarriage started. I think I might have to pretend there is no bundle of cells in me for a few weeks to preserve my sanity. Also got a flat tire in London rush hour on the way to work today with a shouting toddler in the back - a not very fun and very expensive morning so far.

Okie - hope you still have a job by the end of the day. I was under threat of redundancy for a while last year, was secretly hoping they'd do it but no such luck!

See you later preggos...

rots · 16/06/2010 10:51

twinkle as you obviously know, cramping could well be a sign of implantation (mine was really painful and I had bleeding, too). Not trying to get your hopes up if you're coping by not having them up, but just to say I'm with you on the freaking out, as I did the same, and keeping everything crossed for you. I'm sure everything is fine as you've had your line!
