Thanks for your reassuring words PESHies!

Rots, sounds promising. Constant leaking must be such a weird feeling. I have no memory of waters going, must have popped when I was pushing. My money is on baby carrot coming at about 5.30am tomorrow morning.

I'll be back for more updates on the birthing ones...

Cosmosis · 01/07/2010 20:42

Rots that vid is beautiful.

Cosmosis · 01/07/2010 22:17

News from ski baby born at 8 by c-section.

Yay for ski and Jailbait and Julian! in her words he is "perfect". Can't wait for pics

SilverSky · 01/07/2010 22:25

Non PESHly awwwwwwwwwww for ski.

Julian is in the building !

CurlyCasper · 01/07/2010 22:25

hope ski and rots are doing ok. Maybe a double birthday?

Rheumatologist says there is every chance I will get a massive flare-up 2-3 weeks after birth. Baby is already a week old. There are no meds I can take while BF ing other than what I am on - steroids and paracetamol. No anti-inflammatories, not disease modifying drugs, without risk of toxicity to Baby Casp. So, after all the drama at the weekend when I resisted formula at every turn, I might have to stop BFing to be a healthy mum. I know I knew of this risk before, but TBH all was going so well at the end of pregnancy I had forgotten. I mean, FFS, I just bought the bloody Medela Swing! (great pump, highly recommend).

I am a bit but will persevere as long as all is well. PMA makes a huge difference to this arthritis malarky. I've been almost a year off the drugs and managed ok for most of that...

sorry. just pondering today's events while feeding. Latest visitors just left.

CurlyCasper · 01/07/2010 22:26

ooh x-post. hurray for the new ski family! good news about the arrival. rest up Mum xxx

ginhag · 01/07/2010 22:33

And casp hope the flare up doesn't happen...

Ariesgirl · 01/07/2010 22:38

Welcome to Julian! Hope Ski is ok.

Casp love, just do what's best for you both. And if that means formula, so be it.

PollyPoo · 01/07/2010 22:41

Sorry Curly meant also to say that I hope the possible flare-up does not happen. Keep the PMA!

Medee · 01/07/2010 22:43

FannyPriceless · 01/07/2010 22:44

ski Well done and welcome to the sunroof club!

Scorpette · 01/07/2010 22:50

Well done Ski and family Hope you're all doing well and will be able to leave hossie asap.

organiccarrotcake · 02/07/2010 04:06

Fantastic ski news, thanks for the update cos!! Hasn't helped my menkulling as I have to go in at 8am tomorrow to be checked over and have been awake since 1 stressing about it

Just spoken to labour ward who talked us through the process a bit. I can go in and get everything checked out before seeing the consultant at sometime after 9am to talk through the options. She was really nice and said that they wouldn't force me into anything, and that we could ask the consultant to talk through everything. This is obvious but just talking it through helped a bit.

WHat I'm most terrified of is induction and all that entails followed by traumatic labour and poss section (hence ski's news making me more nervous). I would really need to know that the chances of something happening to CS from not being induced are more risky than the potential consequences of a failed induction.

Well I will update when I can.

iggypiggy · 02/07/2010 06:27

Fantastic news ski so pleased for you!!!

rots good luck for today and hope you escape induction. What are current NICE guidelines? I seem to remember something like 72 hours from nct class, but could be wrong and couldn't fund the up to date info online for you.

gingin lovely to see you over here! And scorpy too!

organiccarrotcake · 02/07/2010 07:20

Thanks iggy. NICE appears to be 48 hours but we are going to find out if they can actually do any monitoring to see if there IS infection as opposed to taking action IN CASE.

After all, if you go onto the drip, you need constant FM - because - the drip can cause foetal distress. So you're swapping one risk for another .

Off to hossie in 15 minutes. No intention of staying in. Will update on return.

Please to pass tissues. Am finding this mucho hard.

rollerbaby · 02/07/2010 08:26

Rots good luck and see you back here quick sharpish.

Ski well done bird... so so glad Julian is here!!!!! Wahhhheeeyyyyyyy. Hope you are resting up and not going too mental in hossie. Big love to you.

laurielou · 02/07/2010 08:37

ski CONGRATULATIONS!!! Tis fab news, well done. Hope you're feeling OK.

laurielou · 02/07/2010 08:38

How rude of me - rots good luck to you too.

SilverSky · 02/07/2010 08:38

Fantastic news to end the week for skibird!! Welcome to the wonderful world Julian!

rots am sending you lots of enviro friendly tissues to see you thru. Thinking of you and have brythong xd that you can has the birth that you want.

Looking at the "non list" all the July babes seem to have decided that they don't want to stay put t their due dates! They obv know that the weather outside is very good and they clearly don't wantto miss out!!!

Happy days to all the new mums. Happy days to the newly bfp'd.

My day would be complete if I didn't have to frigging work. Feel the love? Not likely.

Cosmosis · 02/07/2010 08:49

good luck rots sending lavender walk vibes!

TwinkleToes76 · 02/07/2010 09:02

Congratulations Ski!!! Hope you are back home soon. Please to send description of ickle baby boy.

Rots hope everything is going well at the hospital. Fingers crossed you get the outcome you want.

ChoChoSan · 02/07/2010 09:07

Well done Ski and congratulations Cunty! Also here's hoping everything goes well for Carrots

As soon as us diffed up BESHes have stopped menkulling, we'll have to jump into your still-warm barely vacated seats in the Deli...hoping for a mass invasion soon!

VoilaAnotherGimlet · 02/07/2010 09:16

Ooh it's all go here! Keeping everything crossed for you Rots so you don't have to!

Yay for Ski! Know an emergency C is not the best option but now it's onwards and forwards with enjoying baby Julian...and of course updating us all here as we miss you!

Sorry have been quiet for a few days - am struggling with the heat and a mountain of work and failing to properly prioritise means I am screwing up all round. And TSF is away now for the weekend on a stag do and I rather pathetically had a cry about it this morning (not in front of him). I know on here I come across as a bit pathetic but I'm honestly not that bad in real life (I hope) - you get my worst bits I think! Anyway it appears that this week I am that pathetic and neurotic. Who stole all my sleep? - I want it back! (Less of a black dog moment - more like a black hamster).

And I think all this actual live baby malarky has put the wind up me - though I am utterly thrilled with the BESHbaby news.

Gawd sorry - am being all me me again. Could someone give me a good beating please?

gin lovely to see you - and I think I can speak for us all to say we're menkulling with you right now and waiting with you for Tuesday. This TTC/being preggo lark really doesn't let up emotionally at any point does it?

Anyway, I'm off to pull myself together and at least try to mend my work a bit while not melting, blubbing or growling at the next person to talk to me.
