Possibly our last ante-natal thread ladies!

Jojobil · 10/06/2010 12:36

Hence full term is from 37 weeks to 42 weeks But it does suck when it goes over 40! I remember the waiting well! Hopefully the second baba will come earlier for you! I only have under 3 weeks with my elective ;)

CherryPie3 · 10/06/2010 12:36

Sorry jojo

I'm actually on the Aug thread with Chulita - my original due date was 1stAug, have been too scared to come join your thread as I'm rubbish enough at keeping up with one at the moment.

It's not you, it's me.....

WickedWitchSouthWest · 10/06/2010 12:44

jojo fingers crossed we're in hossie at the same time then! My bump is very low, I'm having to nap quite a bit at the mo between cleaning bursts and I'm seriously emotional about everything so the next 2 weeks would be marvellous

cherry you carry on I could be on either June or this thread but as I was on the July bus I wanted to stick around!

NorkyButNice · 10/06/2010 13:04

dh I'm only just in Kent - we moved to West Wickham (near Bromley) in March.

We're hoping to move somewhere more rural down the line but for now the commute into town requires us to be stuck in the 'burbs!

DS came just 3 days early, and I'm hoping this LO is just as eager to meet us!

stac14 · 10/06/2010 13:19

hey ladies how are you all? I forgot we have still to air the mattress. Can someone add me to the list? My laptops at home and we're decorating so cant get in.

Stac14 - 30 - glasgow #2 - 2nd or 7th July (elective)

Any news from anifers or memphis? Can't believe how soon it will be till we're a mother and baby thread. Anyone done everything? I've got a list of whats needed to be done so just working through it. Whats you all up to today? I also had a good sleep last night maybe as it was cooler x

DesperateHousewife21 · 10/06/2010 13:42

wicked that must be annoying not knowing an exact date then! At least you wont be hanging around if you go past 28th June as that might not be the right date anyway.

norky ooh I see, Im more into Kent, I live on the north coast but have a vague idea where you are!

kapars my LO did that at my last mw appointment lol.

Not sure if I've added myself in the right place really. We're definitely having an elective, so at least a week earlier than EDD, possibly sooner with Pre-Eclampsia, but no-one has given me an actual date, so I guess I'll stick with that one.

Also, I'll only be living in the lakes for a few more weeks!!! It will be sad to leave, but I'm getting quite excited about living in Bedford. In some ways I can't get excited about new baby until we are there as I can't set up nursery or anything here.

Looking at buggies on ebay at the minute. My absolute dream is to get a Leebruss Premier, and DH says I can spend up to £200 (last buggy came off freecycle!!) so I'm really excited. He also says I can't buy it until we move though, as we don't want anything else to try and fit in the van...

Gosh Gracie your mw sounds horrid - really if rest was going to make a serious difference to the outcome then the consultant would have you in surely?

I have a very tired toddler today who refused to nap earlier and now is going from tantrum to tantrum - we had to finish painting - hysterical - we had to finish cleaning our hands and take of her apron - loud wailing - not allowed a second pack of monster munch - end of the world. We are now calmly eating raisins and watching Cbeebies - thank God for Cbeebies. 2 hours until dh gets home, 3.5 hours till bedtime.

Still constipated

kapars · 10/06/2010 16:12

Oh I so can't be bothered doing any more work. I thought cos I work from home and only do 3 to 4 days I'd be ok to continue til 38 weeks. I'm 36 weeks now and just feel exhausted - but also in the brain. My head doesn't want to think about work....I only have to get through this week as the next two weeks I don't have much to do.
Is anyone else feeling like that? Just feel like lying down and watching crap telly.

Spirael · 10/06/2010 16:14

's for everyone for keeping the list nice and tidy.

Hi CherryPie!! [waves enthusiastically] Unusual to see you stalking me, normally it seems to be the other way around. That would be strange indeed if we continue to mirror one another and give birth to our LOs on the same day!

Since you're finishing up with work tomorrow too, obviously that'll mean you have more free time, so you should sign up for July as well as August. If we do end up giving birth around the same time, we may well end up on the same postnatal group together!

After the LOs are born, maybe we should try and meet up at some point during maternity leave and share tips? I'll need all the help I can get...

You and your LO are safe for now... Cherry season is started.

Spirael · 10/06/2010 16:18

Gracie123 · 10/06/2010 18:08

We're moving on July 16th so hoping to keep LO in until at least then!!

wonder Cbeebies seems to work magic for everyone else, but DS has no interest. Fortunately I have found a solution - Challenge.

For some reason, my wierd kid loves Ninja Warrior, Takeshi's castle, Gladiators and Ultimate Banzuke. Can you tell what he watches on sunday mornings with daddy?

Anyway, I have discovered that challenge, or challenge+1 usually has something on to entertain DS for half an hour whilst I have a sit down!

WickedWitchSouthWest · 10/06/2010 18:13

hmm it's tricky coz I actually had my full booking in appt at 13 weeks but my dating scan was at 10 wks . My 20 wk scan went by the 28 June date and the little lines on the chart were all over the place! Some measurements were over average for that date and some under. I'd much rather this baby came earlier, I'm totally ready now chaotic you may move me down the list if it makes you feel better!

Gracie123 · 10/06/2010 18:19

Nixter We are going to be living on site at Bedford School (De Parys Ave - the boys school) as the move is connected to my husbands job.

Where are you? We should definitely meet up in RL! I won't know anyone!!!

Gracie123 · 10/06/2010 18:20

p.s. I am also having a girl, but DH wants it to be a surprise so don't tell anyone!!!
