Gracie123-you have 90 days to leave feedback, so perhaps give her a few days chance to email you?
WickedWitchSouthWest-dont be too disappointed with the sweep, as you say a multips Os is what most people have once theyve had children, but things can change up there very quickly with subsequent children. I havent heard of membranes being -2, think what she is meaning by that is that the presenting part(the head, if your baby is cephalic/head down) is positioned at 2cms above the spines(in english that babys head is still fairly high) basically they go from -5(5cm above ischial spine) to zero station then down to +5 where the head(or presnting part) is at the vaginal opening. here is a diagram which may make what im saying more understandabl, its halfway down the page level of presenting part in relation to the ischial spines
hope that helps abit?!
will definately go back to my midwifery at some point, it just got impossible at the end of my first yr with 260 mile round trip to get to uni every day for 7 months then when on placement i was doing loads of night shifts and long days where as some of my younger colleages were on a much easier timetable. they were very inflexible and childcare broke down and I had no option than to withdraw. I did singlehandedly deliver my first baby though before I left!
Gracie123-saying that about your dh holding your hips reminded me that a good position in labour if your in alot of pain with it is to be on floor on hands and knees and get partner to stand above you squeezing your hips with their knees/legs.
chulita-Thats horrendous not knowing when or where your move to and gutting about them cutting his paternity leave.
viksam-same here love. dropped children at nursery and school, came back and hung out two loads of washing, loaded the dishwasher and that was me pooped for the rest of the day. got no energy, just want to sleep and if Im on my feet for more than an hour my feet feel like theyre going to burst open theyre so swollen roll on the next few weeks
jojo-have a great day tommorrow, hope you dont get pushed down the list and that you have little one sometime tommorrow morning!
