Good morning! It's a good day for me - I slept well, DD was good this morning getting ready to school All went well. Yippee!
I hope your day is positive too!

DesperateHousewife21 · 10/06/2010 09:57

chulita I bought some bra extender hooks from jojo maman bebe the day before yesterday! They were only £3 though so wouldnt have saved alot but still!

Starting to feel more uncomfortable at night, when I sleep on my right side my hip/bum really aches and ribs feel all crushed

I started sorting LO's room yesterday, got the moses basket up on its stand which looks so sweet! Sorted out clothes, bagged up the ones that are too big to go in the loft and the ones which need washing this weekend. Cant really do much else til we've got the drawers and even then the buggy and car seat is on the floor.

Ive got 10 bodysuits and 4 or 5 sleepsuits, do you think Ill need some more?

Morning jojo!

I'm sleeping ridiculously well at the moment, but still feel exhausted! Not really sure what's going on as I was a total insomniac at this stage with ds. Now I seem to nap more than he does!

Mw gave asked if I'd started mat leave, said 'no' and before I had a chance to explain that I am a sahm she launched into a massive lecture about how irresponsible I was being and don't I understand how serious situation might be for LO. I burst into tears and said I didn't work and she apologised, but said I wasn't resting enough. How am I supposed to rest with a 2yo? I think I do pretty well getting around 14 hours sleep a day, but when ds is awake I can't lie in bed and ignore him!!

Now I'm really concerned that something might go wrong with LO and I don't notice. I hate that they are only going to monitor once a week. I feel like it could be 6 days before anyone notices anything wrong.

I guess if they monitored every day I'd feel the same about 24 hours. I just don't like being told to 'call if anything happens'. It feels like too much responsibilty and I might miss something. How can I tell what the rate is like? Or how much blood flow there is to the cord?

Sorry ladies. Rant over.

Spirael · 10/06/2010 10:02

Morning all! Hope everything is going ok for everyone at the moment. Bit worrying that we've not heard anything lately from Anifers though... Hopefully she's just taking the rest and relaxation seriously and spending time with her feet up away from MN!

I agree that the list could potentially do with a bit of pruning, MyLifeIsChaotic... Not sure the best way to go about it, though. Take off everyone that hasn't posted in this topic and then people who are lurking can break their silance and re-add themselves before slinking back into the shadows?

That sounds a little worrying with the heartbeat and possible unconsciousness, Gracie. Hopefully it'll turn out not to be a problem, and just that your LO is resting peacefully a lot of the time. Sounds like the doctors are being very careful to keep an eye on things though.

I've washed most of the new clothes already, DesperateHousewife. I wait until there's a sunny day, then go on a manic washing spree! I've also done the sheets and towels for LO as well. Though I noticed yesterday that my cat had somehow managed to find his way into the cot, despite my efforts to prevent it, so I'll need to wash those sheets again. And possibly shave the cat.

To be fair I don't have the net on there at the moment, since I need to lengthen the ties a little bit as my cot seems to be taller than average. I had piled boxes and such into the cot to try and stop the cat from getting in there until I had chance to do that, but apparently he managed anyway! Oh well, will add sorting the cat net to my list of chores for the weekend.

I only have one more morning where I need to wake up and come to work! And this is my last day of wearing smart clothes, as Friday is dress-down. I can hardly wait - I have so many things I want to do during the next few weeks! Though I suspect it'll only be a day or two into next week before I decide I'm climbing the walls with boredom.

It'd be nice to say I'm looking forward to having lots of lie ins, but DH needs dropping off in the mornings so I'm still going to have to wake up at normal time. Oh well... There's nothing to say I can't drop DH off while wearing my PJs and go back to bed afterwards!

I had four nights of really disturbed sleep over last weekend and the beginning of the week, mostly because it was too warm I think. The last couple of nights I've slept relatively well, however. In fact I actually got a whole four hours in a row last night without my bladder waking me up! I don't know whether or not it's depressing at how excited I was at that block of sleep.

My dreams have been really vivid recently again, after calming down for a bit. I'd like to say they were inappropriately exciting, but actually it's more a case of feeling like I'm in my very own action movie with all kinds of dramatic explosions and car chases! I should try and sell my dreams to Hollywood.

WickedWitchSouthWest · 10/06/2010 10:22

Morning all!

I think trimming our list might be a good idea. Agree with spirael that we just have to do it and let ppl come back and add themselves.

spirael we gave up with the cat net before dd was born, Brucie just sat on top of it so it sagged then pinged off around him. Little sod. He's already had a good sleep in the pram so that's had to be recleaned and is back in the garage out of his way! Just don't want the carry cot to go all musty since we'll hopefully be using it alot.

My bump is now very low and it seems to have either changed shape alot or it's got smaller. I'm probably just being very paranoid but at least I'm seeing the midwife again on Monday. Got measured at 34 wks as 35cm, and was still measuring 35cm last week at 37 wks. I know these things aren't accurate but you can't help but worry!

I'm sleeping like a log, my bladder doesn't wake me at all so I get a good 7 hours straight (as long as dd plays ball!) but that's no good for training for what's to come!

V excited for all of you finishing work, it suddenly becomes very real

DesperateHousewife21 · 10/06/2010 10:29

Woo! My John Lewis mattress has just turned up, it says to air it before use?? Ive just put it in the cot, its not even going to be used straight away.

Lovely, lovely, lovely

OP posts:
Chulita · 10/06/2010 10:31

What we did on the other thread was just to start the list again so anyone either posting or lurking just added themselves to the list. I think it's a bit easier than trimming...

In case anyone thinks it's a good idea I'll start it and feel free to add yourselves!

Morning all - I hope things with anifers are OK.

I'm 35 weeks and 2 days now, and seriously counting down every hour till pregnancy is over! I think my bump has dropped too, lots of stabbing pains which I think is baby's head bumping against the cervix.

All my washing got done during the sunny weekend a couple of weeks ago - I've set up the moses basket with clean sheets too so just waiting for the cot to come from Mothercare and we're sorted!

Midwife appt this afternoon to talk about my fears of delivering large baby - I can't stop panicking about it so am hoping she'll put my mind at rest.

Have a good day everyone.

WickedWitchSouthWest · 10/06/2010 10:46

dh my mattress arrived last week and I've put it in the cot but just taken the plastic wrapping off it and had the windows open to air it. It doesn't smell half as bad now

norky yes I know what you mean about the stabbing pains, ouch. I'm 37+3 and it's pretty uncomfy. Good luck with the mw later, hope she can put you mind at rest.

Good idea Chulita ;)

Gracie I think you need to call and make an appointment with your GP. Again it's not fair to leave you wondering... You need to get reassurance and find out exactly what's going on. So you can have a peaceful pregnancy. As much as possible! As at the moment they are leaving you hanging.... WIth your thoughts...

Cat wise - cat nets don't work. I just left the plastic on the mattress at the moment and will be closing the doors later on. Cats love cots But they stay away from babies usually. Still better to be extra careful!

WickedWitchSouthWest · 10/06/2010 12:07

oh dh I know, it's a right pain! My dating scan said 3 July, my dates correspond too but then I saw the mw at booking in and she got her wheel out and wrote 28 Jun?! I was a bit I'm 37 weeks but bump measuring 35 so god knows. We've generally been telling friends and family (apart from my parents who will need to have dd) the later date but I will be v happy to see this baby closer to 28 June!!

Jojobil · 10/06/2010 12:20

Wicked it's the dating scan that gives the exact date With DD I was first told beginning of January and the with the scan they changed it to the end which was right. She actually came 9th of January! ;) And with LO now MW first said 7th of July and ten after scan they changed it to the 6th.

CherryPie3 · 10/06/2010 12:26

Sorry to gatecrash but Spirael - I swear we're clones of eachother or something .

Today is my last day of wearing smart clothes, tomorrow is dress down and my last day at work. (Yessssss!!!!!!!!)

Spooky how alike we are!! Wonder if we'll have our babies the same day? I'm due 29th July.

Ahem....sorry ladies

As you were

Jojobil · 10/06/2010 12:30

Cherrypie3 you did not update the list

WickedWitchSouthWest · 10/06/2010 12:33

jojo it's a pain isn't it? Espesh when the dates are actually quite far apart! My dd had a edd of 29 Mar and came 2 Apr, but the consultant said the placenta was actually very old so it's more likely she was a good 2 weeks late! If I'd known I was that far over I probably would have gone a bit mad
