memphis83 · 27/06/2010 19:26

dh wasnt me with the induction until august cant remember who put that, mine will be mid july if i end up with one, they say average time to go into labour with your 1st is 9 days after due date!!!

viksam · 27/06/2010 19:32

VIOLET oh congrats, so glad we have our first arrival, makes it all so real and sooooo close too. Really hope ur doing ok, please post soon and let us newbies know what to expect!

Dont fancy my waters breaking in public either, Stupid question alert....is it clear and runny or what? Coz its called waters i imagine it to be like, well, water, but i dont know?

wonder and memphis lol @the DH stories. Why do they open a draw in the kitchen, close it straight away and ask 'have u seen....' why cant they look properly or indeed be logical about situations. My dh just closed a window to stop the door slamming instead of looking just behind the door for the door stop?? why would he do that in this heat? Me no understand!! men ARE from Mars!!

kapars an out door pool sounds fab in this weather.

Can anyone remember who posted the last hospital bag list, it was nice and precise if i remember rightly.

Just washed my hand knitted woolens in persil silk and wool, was a bit nervous but they have come out ok, would have hated to ruin anything.

Im so tired today, seems im not the only one lacking in decent sleep. I never thought id say this but i do hope it gets a bit cooler! This hayfeaver is doing my head in too, just stuffed up and itchy all the time, feel like i have a gigantic cold!

wicked u have probably told me before but where are u in the west, if thats not too nosey!

DH is in a bad mood now due to football, great. It was shocking and we deserve to be out.

Anyone got any plans for the week ahead?

DesperateHousewife21 · 27/06/2010 19:34

memphis sorry I meant wonder was the one that said about the August induction, this heat has fried my brain!
9 days after my due date is exactly 1 month today! That doesnt sound too bad but Im starting to get really impatient now so I know by my actual due date Ill be pacing around the room willing it to happen (unless he comes early of course )

jojo Im so excited for you and very too!

Congratulations violet how exciting! Enjoy your little bundle. It does make it seem a bit more real for everyone else doesn't it?

Thought things were starting last night, but a false alarm... Last time I had my hind waters break which i hadn't heard of, where a pocket of fluid leaks out but then stops, I was examined after that and I started bleeding, it didn't stop and i went into labour that night, no show until the labour though.

This heat has finally got too much today, I have been fine up until now but I am just so uncomfortable today - may have to go and lie in a cold bath in a bit!...

Evening ladies

I have read through the thread and have totally forgotten what I was going to write lol. Hope violet has started a trend for lo's being added to the thread. Do you think we should add babies to the list for when they are born?

Well the heat is still making me struggle at the moment, we got some rain today but it did nothing to the muggy air and only lasted abotu 20mins lol

Havent had much in the way of pains, but mucus plug went last week. All the mw said was at least it means things are going as they should. Thankfully my section is booked for 7th July as I went 9 days late with DS. Hope everyone who is getting pains etc go into labour soon, love hearing about lo's

jojo bet you cant wait till Tuesday? Are you all organised?

Also thanks for the tip about putting lo's stuff into bags to make life easier for DP. He was quite happy for me to do this as he said he was likely to give the mw the first thing that comes to hand lol.

As you all know my bump is huge due to the diabetes therefore when we are out people have a right good stare, well yesterday when doing a bit of shopping it kept happening so I ended up staring back at the people. When I said to sil I was fed up with it she said, 'what did I expect I am enormous?' I could have slapped her. Anyway luckily today I was in a better mood lol

How are you all? anything planned for this week? I go into hospital this week for my steriod injections so baby could be here at the weekend (doubt it) if they cant control my sugar levels

viksam · 27/06/2010 21:57

Oh god im so so fed up of this hayfeaver, i might phone the docs again tomorrow, there must be something i can take that she will be happy to perscribe. Im 37+3 today so potentially could 5 weeks left, i cant deal with the hayfeaver if its as bad as this. doesnt it seem like a stupid thing to have a selfindulgent moan about but its really getting me down!! Im sorry.
stac Its horrid when u see people staring out of the corner of ur eye, im not even that big, what are they thinking?? Are u all ready for ur LO to be here by the weekend? My DH keeps saying he cant wait any longer and he wants me to have the baby, im not ready yet though, i have a list as long as ur arm to get done. Oh well what will be will be.
Right im off to bed to have a horrid broken snotty itchy non sleep!! night night xxx

GlastonburyGoddess · 27/06/2010 22:00

Sorry to hear everyones having trouble sleeping, the heat is intense isnt it.

Yay violet excellant news! Has she a name yet?

Went to yeovil yesterday as dp had his theory test, thankfully he passed!! yay. Third attempt although hasnt taken it in 5yrs! hopefully he'll be ready for his practical test sometimes before the end of the year, should take some pressure off me!
went to ninesprings whilst in yeovil, what a hidden gem, a big park which the kids loved although we couldnt stay long due to the heat!

jojo-you must be counting the hours! Think Id be too excited to sleep if I actually knew when it was going to happen!

hope everyone gets a better nights sleep, its cooled down nicely here!

stac14 · 27/06/2010 22:06

viksam I am kind of ready, have to get my moses basket picked up and bring other bits from my aunts but I was putting her clothes in her drawers today and have taken out baby grows etc to go into the hospital bag but I will only be packing a bag for me and will put lo's stuff aside incase dp has to bring it. I still seem to be finding things I want done but I guess if its not done its not the end of the world. Hope you get a better nights sleep tonight x

Wonderstuff · 27/06/2010 22:22

I agree with MLIC, viksam a husband who at least shuts the drawer is something. Dh just lost his torch, I suggest where it might be, he looks, no, isn't there, he goes back, looks again - oh yes is exactly where I said (exactly where he left it) I posted the last hospital bag list, do you want it again? I still haven't packed the darn bag, but I do now have everything on the list. Just brought a change bag too - dd's got left on a bus many months ago with her red book in it which is a shame and no doubt will get me into trouble when she is due her next set of jabs. Got the Caboodle rucksack one - v. exciting - dh thought it was really pricy, so had to go through the mothercare and jojo maman cataloges to show him that actually at under £30 wasn't bad..

I think that is all I need to buy. Need to sort the house out again tomorrow, because obv. with dh and dd being here all weekend its a tip again - am trying to pursuade dd to pick up toys (given up on dh) I say but you tidy up at nursery to which she says 'at tidy up time with the music' Going to have to find out about this magical tidying up music (maybe it will work in dh too?)

memphis83 · 27/06/2010 22:28

dh thats my problem, im impatient, i can cope with pain and the being kicked to high heaven but i just dont like waiting for anything, i see x mas decorations then i want it to be xmas as soon as thats out the way i want my birthday there so waiting for baby to turn up is killing me! ive just told him squirming in my belly cant be fun if he comes out we have so many lovely things for him like a bouncy chair and toys hope that will coax him out
mlic im the same with the heartburn tablets only having one a day to make them last now ive only got enough til tuesday! hate having to make doctors app just for those feel like im wasting his time, seems stupid that mw cant give me a repeat of them as its pregnancy related!

stac14 · 27/06/2010 23:08

thats a great idea about tidy up music wonder must try it with dp and ds even though they are old enough to know better. My dp is famous for leaving things then can't find them, mixed with preggo brain and we have lost loads of stuff.

memphis i've tried talking to lo too but shes completely ignoring me. I'm not usually impatient but i've had enough with being pregnant too sore just now.

Congrats to your dh glaston, is that for driving? X

WickedWitchSouthWest · 27/06/2010 23:10

Yay congratulations violet can't wait to hear more details

vik I'm taking opticrom eyedrops and avamys nasal spray

I have read through but very badly and forgotten everything sorry...

v hot today again, the period pains are now accompanied by tightenings so things are starting. I haven't been able to eat much today and walking around is definitely preferable to lying down! It's all very irregular though so I think I will be going to the mw tmrw lunchtime...she's going to be shocked when she sees me, she was that convinced!

stac14 · 27/06/2010 23:45

fingers crossed you go through the night wwsw are you ok though?

Wonderstuff · 28/06/2010 00:51

I can't sleep - its too hot and I can't get comfy - jusst tried reading and I can't concentrate on my book. I know that really I want babs cooking for a couple of weeks yet, but I am so tired of being pregnant, I want to sleep on my tummy or my back again. I'm proper fed up.

Sounds exciting WWSW will we have baby number 2 tomorrow?

Arrgghh don't know what to do with my self, starting to get restless legs now too. Proper fed up. [grumpy emoticon]

stac14 · 28/06/2010 02:36

why is it we feel tired all day then when it comes to bed time we're wide awake?? Trying to sleep but too restless x

Jojobil · 28/06/2010 08:09

MLIC glad you DS is better!

Stac yes all packed apart from toiletries, I'll do that later... DD is going for a sleepover so gotta pack her too It all seems very unreal. Hope you got a good night sleep...

I am gonna try to take it easy today as tomorrow will be very different!

Wonderstuff · 28/06/2010 08:33

I bet you're so excited jojobil a yummy new baby tomorrow

Well despite getting very little sleep last night I got up to sort dd out for nursery so that dh could have an extra few minutes in bed. Dh couldn't find his suit jacket - which was in a pile in the bedroom - he told me I should pick it up if I see it on the floor - I said I felt that was up to him and apparently that makes me pathetic and immature I am CONSTANTLY picking up after him and I am not his bloody mother - last night he had 2 bowls of cereals and said two bowls with two spoons in living room this morning - I was going to sort the house out today but I might go on strike. I'm so angry. I'm so bloody knackered as well - I could not get comfy last night - I want to be able to sleep on my front or my back again.
I love the summer and it has been so long since we had one as nice as this, I want this baby out so I can enjoy it.

Sorry for miserable post - going to drink my coffee and cheer up I'm so cross with him...

viksam · 28/06/2010 08:39

Yes Jojo you should really try and take it easy, is there any last min things you need to do? How are u feeling about tomorrow?

wonder yes please i would like you to re post ur bag list if you dont mind!

Glasto you were about 5mins away from where i live when you were at ninesprings. Thats the park I walk the dog in. Really very lucky to have that on my door step. I dont know if you walked by the stream and the waterfalls, if not its worth another trip back, its really nice. Did you go round Yeovil shops? If so what did u think?

stac did you get some sleep in the end? I know what you mean, its so frustrating. I didnt do too badly in the end just up really early. Looks like it may rain later, have to say im not complaining.

wicked let us know how ur getting on, maybe u'll be second!

Whoever suggested that we put the babies on the list some how, its a good idea, maybe we should put which order they came in too so we can remember.

Right, im going to get dressed and take this doggy out for a walk in the park while i have a scrap of energy!!

wonder we cross posted, im not suprised ur mad with him!! why the hell should YOU pick up HIS stuff off the floor, how rude to expect you to do that!! They are sooooooo immature, and leaving his bowls too, they just dont see what they do wrong do they! And you got up early to boot, i bet he didnt appreciate it did he. Ooohhhhh Men ay, they are a nightmare most of the time really, i just dont think they ever grow up.
