Apologies in advance for shorthand sentences and any one-handed typing errors - feeding Felix at the mo but determined to post before i get even further behind!

I have managed to get completely behind on the thread again because I managed to get diverted by my first foray into the world of ebay instead! Managed to pick up a bargain second hand baby bjorn, and am thinking of trying to get a cheap second hand well-used phil&teds or other 3-wheeler all terrain type buggy for our trip to canada next month, so our lovely shiny pushchair doesn't get destroyed by the baggage handlers!

We registered Felix last week, so Felix Benjamin Darwin is now official and today I sent off his passport application, so hopefully that will arrive before our holiday.

Mogg - like BRB we didn't wait 6 weeks before expressing and introducing a bottle feed (we waited just under 2 weeks). Felix hasn't seemed to have any difficulties switching between the two, and I find it a godsend being able to get DH to do the odd night feed.

Tomlin and Pigley - F is another one who has had a few unsettled evenings, wanting to graze constantly, falling asleep on the boob (like Jacob, SK!), then waking up and crying when we try to put him down in his basket, but stopping as soon as we lift him out. Last night he didn't settle until 10pm, but then fortunately slept until 2.30am when he woke for a quick feed, then slept again until 6.30. So maybe a grouchy evening is the price I'll have to pay for a good night's sleep... I have been giving him a bath every evening, but that only seems to wake him up more!

Angel - good to see you back! I have no idea how you manage to cope with 5 DCs! I only just made it out to the post office by 5pm today, so am in complete awe of you being ready to leave the house by 3, even if you didn't end up going.

Heffa and Cupcake - glad Corin and Jude are doing well!

BRB - I like your question about what the BF'ing mums are eating. I will pop back on another time to answer that one when I'm not trying to type one-handed while feeding F!

ML - interested that you say BF babies do fewer poos. I dread to think how many nappies we'd get through if Felix was on formula, as he does about 5 poos per day as it is! . Sorry you've got a sinus infection - they're awful and make you feel so grotty, I hope you start to feel better soon. Good news on the GTT result!

Rachel, like you I have been reading but not having time to post. Do you find that the longer you leave it the harder it gets, because it feels like such a daunting prospect to try to comment on everything? i had to limit myself this time to just commenting on the last page, otherwise i'll never write anything ever again! I sometimes use your posts as a way to catch up on everything, as they provide a pretty good summary! Glad Eric's doing well. I can't believe he's in size 3 =6 month outfits already! Felix is only just big enough for 0-3 months and still in size 1 nappies, even though he has put on 2lb since birth!

Pamelat - I thought Felix had started to smell funny, but then realised that it coincided with us switching nappy brands, so I think it's actually the chemicals in the nappies reacting with his wee. Congratulations on the fantastic exam result!

Kateyjane - we have the Urbo too! It's fab, so easy to steer and fold up and really compact. It's brilliant with the maxi-cosi car seat attached, takes up no room at all in restaurants!

ithappened - glad Florence is flourishing after the change in diet. Good luck for Thursday.

carikube - jealous that you're going to see a band! I wanted to geet tickets for the kings of leon and pearl jam concerts in hyde park, but wasn't sure whether we'd be able to leave F by then, and didn't think it was the kind of thing you could take a newborn to!

molly -glad the feeding's going well for you this time.

dh finally home from work, better go and direct him towards the recipe book and ingredients for dinner as F is still firmly attached to my boob!

booboomonster · 14/06/2010 20:54

Hello just popping in on my iPhone - have been keeping up with news but I never seem to manage to get on the laptop (have baby on my lap mostly) and it's so fiddly to write long messages on my phone.

Anyway, good to hear everyone's doing well and congrats to pamelat and sassles for exam pass/ job success!

All going well here - Ariel feeds constantly. Finding things easier second time around and seem to have ended up co sleeping as it means I get a better nights sleep. Not planning on doing it for too long though - but right now she doesn't want to sleep alone! Been having a lovely time with DH off work (slightly dreading him going back) and he is besotted despite pre birth lack of enthusiasm. Thank god! We actually snuck her into the cinema the other day (12.30 showing so it was pretty empty) and she slept / fed through robin hood!

Anyway, was also hoping for news from Homebirthmummy... Hope alls well with her.

Will try and post longer soon - sorry for lack of personals.

TomlinTowers · 14/06/2010 22:17

Hi All

Been a bit eventful here last few days - got so worried about DD's lack of poo that we ended up at out of hours GP on Friday night. They examined her and all was well fortunately but told us to come back if no poo in next 24 hours. So spent all Saturday afternoon in A & E waiting to see another GP and then requested referral to neo natal registrar as well just to check all was ok. Thankfully all well so given her glycerine suppositry (sp?) and we had the biggest nappy in the world half an hour later! Am now reassured having spoken to half of East Lancs Paeds team (via MIL who is consultant Paed - v handy!) that all is well and she is just a windy baby who poos once every week at the moment. Will save on washing I suppose..

Thanks to everyone who gave advice on their windy babies. There did seem to be a consensus amongst the various health profs I spoke to this weekend that if your baby does suffer from excessive wind then you could try minor changes in your diet - they suggested avoiding citrus fruit, acidic fruit eg pineapple, and anything that is known to give adults wind eg baked beans, lentils, etc. I am giving it a try to see if it makes any difference.

BRB - I have tried very hard to keep eating what I was eating before preg and not fall into trap of thinking I need to eat extra for BF. If I snack I choose fruit rather than choc, but the only way I can do that is just not to have choc/biscuits/cake in the house otherwise I give in to temptation and eat them. Prime example - was our wedding anniversary this weekend and DSis bought us box of chocs to celebrate. One day later they are gone - I have just snacked on them, can't even remember eating them! So just have to be really careful what I buy and not put any treats in the trolley. I am now back to pre-preg weight but want to lose another stone to get back to wedding weight. Do find I need to drink loads though to keep the milk supply up.

Pamelat - well done on your exam, 70% is a fabulous score!

Angel/SK/ML - I take my hat off to you coping with 4 and 5 children, school runs etc. I only have two days of playschool runs to do, and so far we have managed to be late every time. Really determined to get there on time tomorrow and Wednesday - got all bags packed, coats and shoes out and breakfast in fridge already for tomorrow morning. I will get it organised!!

Cupcakefairy - glad to hear that the treatment is going well, hopefully you will get it all sorted soon.

Got Sophie weighed today - she is on the 91st percentile, and has gone from 9lb 7 birth weight to 11lb 12 at 4 weeks - porker!! She is also 58cm long!! I thought she was going to be long, but that length shocked me - although it's what I get for having a 6ft 4" husband I guess!! Although she still fits in 0 - 3 month clothes, her feet are already tight in the babygros so I'm guessing she is going to have monster feet too! I am going to spend a fortune in Clarks when the time comes I think!!

Hope everyone else is doing well.

pigleychez · 14/06/2010 22:34

Angel- Glad Willow is oficial now. I have the Babasling too

Heffa- Good to hear Corin is doing well

SK- Glad Jacob is feeling better now
With you about the mothers generation... Seems i should be feeding Lucy only every 4 hours. So what do i do when shes hungry after 2 hours? let her scream for another 2?!

ML- Great news about the GTT

Rachel- Glad to hear Eric is doing well.
Love the train cake. Re the picture of the shoes in your album....My friend went to a drugs awareness evening at her kids school and learnt that the shoes over the wire means you can buy drugs here! [shocked]

Kateyjane- Well done you on managing a holiday!

Happenedagain- Fingers crossed for your test results... Keep us posted

Den- Enjoy your family visits

Pamlet- Well done you! You prob said but remind me what it was for/about?

Mollycuddles- Beautiful picture of Molly.

Cupcake- Glad things are improving downstairs
The gunky eye and breastmilk does work. I did it with DD1.

MDM- Yay on Felix being Official.

Booboo- Glad Ariel is doing well.

Tomlin- Glad everything is OK with the poo's.
Good to hear that Sophie is gaining wieght well.
Lucy is another long one just like her sis was (52cm at birth!)

Lucy was wide awake at 4am so been a very long day for me!

Hope everyone else is well... Hope to hear from HomebirthMummy soon

Hobnobfanatic · 15/06/2010 08:11

Tomlin - wow - sounds like that was one hell of a nappy! Must be a relief to know that she's fine and that one nappy a week is normal for her! Baby Hobnob, however, is on at least 12 dirty nappies! Last night she pooed out of her nappy, down to the toes in one leg of her sleepsuit!

Hearing test woes continue... She failed in one ear again - third test we've had and this one was with the ABR, which tests the brain's reception of noise. Another test today... Of course, being the hormonal loony I am, I burst into tears again and was inconsolable! But the woman explained that it's just that baby was too awake, which interfered with the readings. Trying to time it so she's asleep is almost impossible - and even if she is asleep, she wakes up as soo as they start putting the electrodes on her head and the ear pieces on...

Like Sophie, TT, baby is reaching the end of her 3-month sleepsuits and is also a porker! Feeds for England still, bless her.

Cupcake - yep, Huggies are pants for newborns, I agree. Although baby hobnob's epic poos can outsmart even the Pampers ones at the moment...

Question: LO is five weeks now and is still soooo sleepy. How awake are your babies during the day? She has spells of wakefulness in the evening, but is pretty zonked for the rest of the day.

She's waking now for a feed -sorry I haven't caught up with the other posts. I've been reading them all - just no time to reply!

Hope all babies are doing well!

mollycuddles · 15/06/2010 10:07

hobnob - sounds v stressful re hearing test. Could they do the test when LO is feeding? Might help with distraction?

Just a quick post - will pop back later.

I reckon we should start a new rule with our postnatal thread - no apologising for short posts and lack of personals. We're all pretty busy at the moment so I think we can be excused

pamelat · 15/06/2010 10:12

thank you for exam congrats its OU post grad thing in social policy, doesnt really take me anywhere but makes me feel good.

can i ask feeding question please

alex had 10 day, 2 week, 3 week and now apparently 4 week growth spurt?

just want to rule out other reasons for fussiness as it really does seem too much for him to feed.

started a botttle of ff at 10pm ish, and just started (twice) a 2am one.

last night went like this, 5pm one hour bf, 630 another hour (crying during the half hour "off" but I was bathing DD). Then 140ml formula 9pm (couldnt get to 10pm as he seemed starving) 130am 140 ml formula, then 330am 45 min bf, 5am 40 min, 630am, 30 min bf. 845am one hour bf and finally 10am he is asleep ....

is it really normal for him to wake at 330 after whole bottle of ff at 130am?!

my dh is usually very supportive but seems a bit cross (at me?!) for the nights f constant feeds, i thought formula was the answer but doesnt seem to have helped.

hv coming again today, alex must weigh 4 stone by now?!

pamelat · 15/06/2010 10:13

know young but anyone else moved to cot from moses basket? Alex seems big in it and it might be waking him?

itshappenedagain · 15/06/2010 11:32

hello all!

pamelat- im hoping to move on friday, florence wqill be 5 weeks, would possibly do it tonight but want to get my shelves put up in the same corner first and cot is so heavy! other than that have you found since giving formula that he is more wingy? ds only ever had one bottle of formula for that reason, as it caused him stomache ache and he was sooo wingy. but that might just be my baby. wont be giving to DD as she seems to be intolerant anyway and dont want to make her worse.
as Hv may just be another growth spirt!

we had a good night last night and i got about 5 hours straight sleep. also managed to get the ironing done as she slept in the evening too, she was such a lovely jolly baby yesterday so think the change in diet is definitely working! long may it continue. we wnt to a group yesterday afternoon called baby talk and she was really alert. the went to see HV to get her weighed 4 oz this week but now back on 75th centile for weight and just over 91st for height...yet i dont know why i have tall children im a short ass. but was really annoyed as i was late collecting Ds from school as someone queue jumped as they needed a translator and she said she had another appointment, then 3 of them went in there and i waited just under 2 hours, i will not b letting that happen again, neither will the other mums who were also waiting!
anyway im off to get some more tidying done whilst DD is asleep and Ds is playing. hope all are well xx

MarquiseDeMerteuil · 15/06/2010 11:58

hobnob - wow, 12 dirty nappies per day?!! That makes me feel better about Felix's 5 or 6! He sleeps a fair amount during the day too, although it's gradually decreasing. He's 4 1/2 weeks now, and although he doesn't have a regular pattern of sleeping / waking, on a typical day would sleep from 7.30 - 9ish, then 10-12.30ish, 1.30 - 3.30. Then until this week he'd have a slepe from 4 - 6 and then go down to bed at 8ish. But the last few days he's had a quick snooze from 4-5ish and then stayed awake until 10 or 11 grazing and occasionally dozing off for 10 minutes at a time on the boob. That's what he did yesterday, finally falling asleep properly at 11.30, but that was great because he then slept until 4.30, had a quick 20 minute feed (and no nappy change - second night in a row without a nighttime poo!) before sleeping again until 7.

Cupcake - I'm with you on the huggies. We had several leaks before giving up on them and going back to pampers. Although the worst ones we've tried have been Boots own brand. Tesco's own brand weren't too bad. Having said that though, a friend of mine swears by huggies and can't get on with pampers. Apparently it depends on the shape of the baby! Felix had a very gunky eye at about 3 weeks too, but it went within about 24 hours, I think it's very common, my DSis's baby had the same.

BRB - I really notice that the better breakfast I have, the better my milk production is throughout the day. A good day for me would be to start with something like muesli with yogurt and a strawberries or blueberries for breakfast, a mid-morning snack of a banana and nuts (or biscuits and cake if it's an NCT meet-up or I'm feeling indulgent!). Lunch would be something like a cheese and ham sandwich and crisps or ciabatta with salami / parma ham (which I missed so much when I was pg!), or I'd make chicken noodle soup if I have leftover roast chicken and stock. Although while DH was on paternity leave we'd quite often share a pizza and salad for lunch. Then I'd probably be naughty and have biscuits with a cup of tea mid-afternoon (re-living my student days by watching countdown!). Dinner would be stir-fry with rice or noodles, or spag bol, or sausage and mash or something. I am probably eating a bit more than I would have done pre-pregnancy. I haven't lost all my pregnancy weight-gain yet, have got 4 kgs to go (about half a stone), which will probably (hopefully) go once I get back to having my personal trainer after the 6 week check!

Molly - love your new rule for the postnatal thread. I agree.

It happened - sounds like you had a fab night last night - hope it lasts!

Pamelat - no experience in moving from moses basket to cot I'm afraid. Could you use a cot bumper halfway down the cot to make it seem smaller and put Alex in the bottom half of the cot, or maybe roll some towels up and place them round the edges to bring the sides in a bit?

Hope everyone has a good day! Am planning to take F to the Dr to register him at the surgery this afternoon. I've been giving myself one 'outside' task each day to make sure we get out of the house!

ande · 15/06/2010 12:06

Hello everybody

Sorry for the lack of personals, today is the first time I've logged on for a couple of weeks.

Thought I'd let you know of the (eventual) safe arrival of my DS by ECS at 0954 on Saturday 5th June weighing 6lbs 12oz. We had a pretty rough ride but all well now. He STILL doesn't have a name, and I despair he never will at the rate we are all disagreeing...

Been thinking about you all, just no time to read/type....

Needless to say we are all besotted.

ande
xx

MarquiseDeMerteuil · 15/06/2010 12:09

P.S. Have added some pics of Felix to the FB group page!

AnAngelWithin · 15/06/2010 12:09

morning ladies!! Hope you are well. I am sleep deprived today. dd3 has been awake since 2.30am! bitty feeding! What a nightmare! She is finally asleep now.

Washing machine repair man been. Needs a part that won't be in stock til the 29th He said it should be ok to use on half loads though. So theoretically, twice as much washing now!! Its just the noise it is making is driving me crazy! But needs must!

Been having a right battle with the HV. The midwives were supposed to ask for the nice one, and instead the horrid one rang me the other day and arranged to come yesterday. Well I was going out for the day so rang and left a messge that I wouldn't be there and that I would rather see another HV anyway as I had heard that this other one specialised in PND which is a concern of mine. So anyway, horrid HV rang yesterday (while i was in the bath) and spoke to DH. He said that I wouldn't be in (as I was going into town). DH went out half an hour later, I was feeding willow when the phone went again, HV saying shes due to visit me in half an hour. This HV is horrid. She is the breastfeeding military. She always finds fault with me. (She referred dd2 for a non existant squint! Even the hospital asked why we were there!) So I decided that I wasn't going to answer the door. She knocked and knocked and knocked. Eventually left after putting a note through the door saying she would come back again in an hour. She rang again later in the afternoon when I was out, leaving a message saying she really needs to speak to me, so I rang back this morning and she wasn't there. Anyway, half an hour ago, the phone went, and it was the nice HV She is coming later today at 3.45 yay!!

Pamelat congrats on exam results.

Hobnob, hope the hearing test gets sorted soon!

Tomlin, that sounds very eventful for you

Visitors have just arrived so will post more personals later x

pamelat · 15/06/2010 12:57

congrats ande

wwhat names are you considering?

He weighs 9l 15 and looks huge. Apparently children cant be over weight until 2

pamelat · 15/06/2010 12:58

pamelat · 15/06/2010 12:59

pigleychez · 15/06/2010 13:02

Hobnob- Sorry to hear about the hearing test. Hope they get to the bottom of it soon

re sleeping- Lucy can have long periods of sleep too. Everyday is different.... yesterday she was wide awake from 4 till bed at 11.

Pamlet- Yes, sometimes Lucy can have 4ozs but be starving again 2 hours later.

Happenedagain- Yay on the sleep. We too had a good one. 11-4-6.30
height-Just checked and Lucy was 54cm at birth, DD was 56 and 60 cm at 6 weeks!

MDM- Love Felix's pics

Ande- Congratulations Let us know when you decide on a name

Angel- Glad to hear your seeing the nice HV

Just waiting for a friend and her toddler to come and play

Bit of an odd question here : Does anyone else's LO squirt milk out thier nose ?!?
Lucy seems to do this loads... Its very odd!
DH thinks it hilarious and jokes that it will be her party trick when shes older but it will be with vodka instead!

Carikube · 15/06/2010 14:05

Hello all...
Congrats ande and hope you manage to agree on a name soon!

We didn't have a great night last night and DD1 has generally been a nightmare since waking up. We went out this morning which seemed to calm her down but after a long nap she has now just refused to eat her lunch and she's generally being very wearing. Have to go to Tesco now though so hopefully she won't scream the place down...

Don't have time to write much, but can say that with DD1, switching to formula didn't make a massive difference to her sleeping (she was already going 4-5 hours at a time) so I don't know that it's the miracle cure unfortunately.

Sassles · 15/06/2010 14:18

Hi. On for a quick post. Will try to keepup!

Samuel skin infection clearing up nicely. Been at the doc's four times from Fri to Fri! Felt bit silly, but they have been so nice. Twice for Sam and twice for me. I'm back on antib's as c section not healing too well. Not hurting, just not healing and bit sticky.

Not been on much as Sam being mega feeding. Had three days of waking in afternoon at 3.30pm and then not sleeping again till 1am wanting fed constantly. Very tiring, had few weepy moments. Had much better day yesterday and he slept from 12.30-5.30am last night which was great.

HV came today and he put on 11ozs, so there is a reason to the madness!

ML hope you are starting to feel bit better.

pamelat Well done you on the exam results. So chuffed for you.

itshappened fingers crossed for your results

cupcake glad you are feeling bit better after treatment. Sending you healing vibes.

pigleychez LMAO at the vodka party trick!

anangel don't blame you on the HV ducking. Hope she gets the message soon.

ande congratulations! xx

hobnob No shame in crying at all. Totally understandable. Hope next test goes well. Tricky that they need to be asleep for it. Sam just happened to be asleep with HV came in to do it.

Diet for BF. Emmm. Eating lots of naughty stuff! Having Weetabix for breakfast with dash of milk (don't like milk), lunch crusty baguette with chicken or ham salad, Dinner, spag bol, stir fry, pizza. Supplemented by biscuits, more bread and flora light, muffins, oreo cookies and lots fruit, plums, strawberries. Eating like a horse. Total disgrace. Lost 21 pounds from pre-birth till after week in hosp (lighter than pre-preg weight!), but not wanting to get back on scales after three weeks of eating v naughtily. Not really up and about too much yet either. Will sort it out soon!

Oh. Sam stirring for feed. Been asleep since 12pm so not too bad going. Will be back on soon.

cupcakefairy · 15/06/2010 18:51

Hi ladies- sounds like lots of our LOs are going through growth spurts! Jude wants to just feed all the time and my nipples are just agony. I know he's latching right cos I've had a breastfeeding counsellor visit me but I'm worried about how painful they are I am using Lansinoh but does anyone else find when they rub in nipple cream that milk just starts pouring out

hobnob so sorry about the hearing test worries On J's test in the hospital the second ear took ages to test and the woman kept shaking her head until she eventually got it- inside I was panicking madly so I totally understand the tears!

On that note, those of you with boys, did you opt to have the muscular dystrophy test with the heel pricks? DH and I debated for ages and eventually decided to have the test but not sure if it was the right decision!

As for diet; mine is much better than during pregnancy as I just don't have the time to eat now! Breakfast is cereal (weetabix, bran flakes or shreddies with raisins) and a pear at the moment to help my bowels!
Lunch is a ham or cheese salad sandwich, or soup and bread, and probably crisps.
Dinner is usually pasta or rice based- curry, spag bol, chilli or if dh is feeling creative a stew.
Snacks are fruit, and slightly naughtier things like cake chocolate and biscuits

Ooh gotta dash, awake baby!

Felix is asleep, so I'm just taking the opportunity to catch up on some of the posts I missed last week. Congratulations Sassles on the promotion - that's fantastic news! I'm so relieved for you that all the hard work paid off.

Debating whether to wake Felix up - he's been asleep since 4.45. Usually he's awake during this period. Might just leave him and see what happens. He'll probably wake up just as we're about to eat! I've taken advantage of the quiet spell to prepare dinner and have a bit of a tidy-up before DH gets home in the hope that he'll agree that we can watch the CSI season finale instead of one of the THREE football matches he has sky+ed today .

rachelfruitloop · 15/06/2010 21:55

Just a quick one tonight to say CONGRATULATIONS to Ande, excellent news, and hope you can decide on a name soon! I'll update the list so you don't get lost!

I am shattered tonight. DH, Molls and I went for a walk today - lovely morning and it's just over a mile to a nearby Starbucks. The fresh air seemed to calm Molls as she slept soundly the whole way. I took it easy, back was a bit sore and my graze "down below" was stinging a bit but good to do some exercise etc. Had a nice coffee, Molls slept on so we set off home. We were no sooner out of Starbucks that she woke up and was ravenous. Nowhere to sit on the way home to feed her so had to just keep going. No "taking it easy" for me on the way back. I power-walked home, sweat pouring off me by the time I got here - sore back and sore bits forgotten. Eek I'm unfit. She stopped crying the second she saw boob and fed all afternoon.

I'm really not sure how much I should be doing at this stage - I've been out a lot but my body still feels a bit battered from the pg and birth. Will have to go for more walks to get fitter but will chose better locations in future with benches etc so I can feed Molls rather than have to listen to her wail.

glad you're feeling better cupcake I have the same problem with putting on lansinoh. My nipples were so sore yesterday but I have tried when possible to feed lying down today which seems to take the pressure off and I'm not as sore tonight. That was suggested by someone on ff/bf forum. I think my latch isn't as good when she's feeding loads - we both probably get a bit lazy. I've fed her out and about a fair bit over the weekend with one or other trip out and I think my latch isn't great then either as I'm concentrating more on not flashing my nips than getting everything spot on.

Like many of our babes, Molls is attached more of my waking hours than she isn't. I am trying not to clock watch and just go with it. By evening I start to feel a bit overwhelmed really and wonder how I'm going to cope with another night etc. Usually feel better by morning though.

Glad all is well with the pooing tomlin

Re slings - has anyone got one that is easy to feed in - I bought the freedom ring sling for this but it's very flimsy and the Sabe is great for carrying for not for feeding. Would have come in handy during my Starbucks dash today!

pamelat the amount of feeding and the gaps sound normal to me! Sorry. Hope DH chills out about it as you don't need the extra stress. Could he bugger off sleep elsewhere and you co-sleep with Alex? I have an almost completely unused moses basket which I doubt Molly will ever get near so can't help with advice there.

Mega congrats ande

Oooh more pics MDM - how gorgeous!

Glad you're getting the nice HV eventually angel and glad the washing machine sounds like life saving surgery may be successful. Our freezer appears to be recovering too. Phew!

Yes pigley Molls does the milk from her nose thing too!

Love to all - have to update Tesco order for tomorrow am delivery. Am going to a meeting tomorrow complete with Molly and am very nervous. Seem to have been painted in a role as supermum and really would rather not be.

Angel..grrr at the washing machine..maching machines are the bane of my life..they get quite a bit of hammering from me so never last more than a couple of years..even our bosch died!

molly..does your LO bring milk out of her nose..thats interesting because olivia does and the gp referred her to the paed!

congratulations ande

are we ready to move over to postnatal yet?

ive just realised that were it not for the evidence before me..I would forget Id had a baby!..body feels back to normal..apart from breast feeding boobs of course..had some ladies come for training at the weekend which was great fun..and a private henna commision yesterday..took Olivia into my studio whilst I worked and she watched! My customer wanted to take her home

Olivia had her baby check and jabs yesterday..I cried buckets..she screamed in such an ear piercing way it was horrible..the HV then took the chance to do the depression check with me..asking if I ever felt tearful for no reason..no I replied as b ig fat tears fell on the questionaire

post natal check was a bit of a joke..who ever decided to combine it with the babys check?..basically the doctor checked Olivia then as I dressed her asked if I felt well..and what was I using for contraception..that was my check...ah well...

Olivia was very restless last night due to the jab..but didnt have a temp..and still fed..at 4 in the morning she wanted to play!..her arms and legs were going like propellers..and she was grinning away..trying to persuade her it was 4 am just produced more smiles and frantic arm waving
