Moggmum- I know what you mean about being happier and more relaxed at home. I was in hospital for days with DD1 and was desperate to get home.
Glad everything is going well.

Tomlin- The past 2 evenings Lucy has been very unsettled too and seemed full of wind. Shes terrible at burping and i think it just builds up during the day. Today we have been using Infacol and shes been fine this even and has been happily sleeping in her rocker.

ML- Yay on the new car

Hope everyone is well and the poorly bubbas are feeling better.

Well we have discovered that Lucy has a very good aim after projectile vomiting over me today. It went right down my cleavage and I had a lovely puddle in my bra! DH was no use... I shouted at him to grab a cloth/muslin and he runs and grabs the camera instead!!

AnAngelWithin · 13/06/2010 09:28

Hello all. Sorry for long time no post! Life has been pretty hectic to say the least!!
Has everyone popped now??

We registered our LO the other day. Willow Megan is officially on the planet now DH has gone back to work today (on a sunday yes ) so I have got 5 tired and grumpy kids to entertain and get ready for school tomorrow. Washing machines broke as well (as soon as I had a pail of dirty nappies to wash! Typical!) May just go for a little walk with the kids in a bit. They are tired though (they watched the football last night) but I want to try my new sling I bought. Got a babasling

We have decided that we are going to give willow a bottle of formula as her last bottle of the day (until I get into a proper routine with feeding and can express) Means I can go to bed early and DH can have some time with her which he is really enjoying. Generally she has that between 10 and 11 and sleeps til 3-4am. She goes about 3 hours in the day at the mo.

I have still tried to do the school run etc on my own this week (with DH still at home as backup!!) So that I can try and get my bearings. Got into the habit of 'topping up' willow regardless at about 2.15pm in time for pick up. So far so good anyway. Been a couple of 'moments' where i've thought 'I can't do this!' Especially yesterday. DH wanted to go out to mothercare to get a few bits for dd3. By the time we were ready it was gone 3pm (dd3 was having a feeding day) and not worth going anywhere and I just ended up in tears.

Also, had dd3s appointment through for her ultrasound on her hips on 30th June. Looks like shes got clicky hips. I had it as a baby too and was in a harness for 18 months

pigley lol at your DH...typical man!!

ML let me know what the tourans like. We are debating looking into changing our zafira.

Tomlin, Willow is struggling with her wind as well. Shes ok in the day, then come about 5pm, shes unbearable, screaming the place down, only really settles about 11pm. Think I may invest in a bottle of infacol! Also, re poos, dd3 does one after most feeds.

SK and everyone else with poorly babies, hope they are all better soon. x

TwentiethCenturyHeffa · 13/06/2010 10:38

Sorry I haven't posted for ages, I don't seem to get much time at the computer these days! We've been quite hectic as well.

Hope everyone's well.

SK - hope Jacob feels better soon.

Corin's doing well, still feeding beautifully. We had a rough week with sleep but last two nights have been better so not feeling quite so much like death!

Angel - hope your DD3 is OK.

cupcakefairy · 13/06/2010 12:06

sweetkitty · 13/06/2010 16:43

Stealing about 5 mins on pc whilst girls are out playing and Jacob is very rarely asleep in his moses basket.

He is doing much better, his ear infections have cleared up and his fae still looks red and angry but looks like it might be clearing up, he has loads of dry flaky skin. He still sounds a bit bunged up though.

I am glad it is not just us that have the falling asleep on the boob, put down wake up thing going on. IME this is normal newborn behaviour, if you think about it they like to feel warm and secure close to Mum or Dad's chest, hearing your heartbeat etc then if put down in a cold cot or basket they don't like it as they don't know where they are. It honestly doesn't last for that long and it is frustrating especially if you have other DCs. We decided I think after DD1 just to go with it and carry them as much as we can, sod spoiling them and rod for your own back. It won't be long until some toys will keep them entertained for a short while.

I'm feeling a bit down these days too, like angel just feel too stretched. Feel bad for the other DCs especially the older two with Summer hols coming up I wish I could take them more places/do more with them, same with DD3, feel bad for her when the other 2 disappear to their friends and leave her in the garden on her own. Anyway moan moan whinge whinge

Heffa - glad Corin is doing well

cupcake - ah your a human dummy as well then? Glad you are on the mend

angel - aww hope Willow's appointment goes ok poor wee thing, in some ways I am looking forward to the hols (ours start in 2 weeks) as no school/nursery runs for a while and when they go back I only have one school run to do as DD2 starts school in August.

ML - yay on the new car, I hate ours it's like a big cluncky van to drive but it fits the 6 of us in plus the big P&Ts pram.

Tomlin - to me it sounds like a normal newborn evening fussiness sorry. Could be wind, could be overfeeding/wanting to comfort suck, I'm on my 4th and I have never got to the bottom of it. If Jacob gets to this stage I put him in the sling which has a magic calming effect on him, does kind of limit you as you have a sleeping baby attached to your chest but you can at least get some things done and they are not screaming. I think you notice it more with second + babies as you don't have the same time with them. As for the poo sounds normal to me as well although my little man is very regular in that department.

moggmum - yes the steepest learning curve and even after one you are still learning. At this stage just do whatever it takes to get through the day. I got myself all worked up with DD1 about routines etc of course you listen to your Mothers generation who were the 4 hours feeding, stick them down the bottom of the garden in their prams, sleeping through the night at a week kind of thing and you think eek what am I doing wrong? I bought GF and tried that but DD1 didn't want to be a GF baby bought a few other books too, in the end just gave up read a bit about attachment parenting/cosleeping/BFing and just went with it. DD1 was a very easy baby though.

Anyway enough rabbiting from me, Jacob is awake and dinner is almost ready!

brightredballoon · 13/06/2010 22:43

Just briefly popping on as I am determind to get an early night tonight, been upto my eyes in washing from this sickness bug.

SK I have been trying to go with the flow with the feeding/falling asleep/waking up but cant remember how long it roughly lasts, DD2 will be 7wks old tomorrow and still does it so I have started her with a dummy at night and although it takes a while for her to take it (e.g rocking her and patting her) she will then not need the feeding/nodding off/waking up. Do you think it will affect her feeding or my supply?

Ok breastfeeding girls, please do share with me what your daily diets are like. I am really determined to shape up but I have brainwashed myself into thinking I am Pippin and need countless breakfasts etc to maintain a good milk supply! So, I am really interested to hear what you all eat as this will spur me on.

Better dash, the thread has been really quiet of late - when are we moving to postnatal?

MoggMum · 13/06/2010 22:58

Thanks sweetkitty, it?s reassuring to hear that you and others are experiencing the same difficulties with LO?s falling asleep during feeds but then refusing to go down in cots etc. I?ve also had EXACTLY the same crap from my Mum re 4 hourly feeds, going through the night after a week and MIL has bought me the GF book! This LO just laughs (or rather cries!) in the face of her bedtime routine. In fact he?s only just gone down in his basket after being awake/feeding since lunchtime. I?m exhausted!!

brg thanks for advice re expressing ? I may give it a go soon as I can?t see me waiting 6 weeks

angel sounds like you?re doing really well coping with 5 kids when I can barely cope with just the one

Hope everyone else is managing ok and getting some rest. I?m amazed that us ladies can function with such little sleep . My DH still manages to get a full night?s sleep but he has been a real help round the house and garden and I shall miss him when he goes back to work later this week

memorylapse · 13/06/2010 23:02

just a quick post as Olivia is still wide awake..

Im not eating any different tbh..but am drinking lots of water..I seem to be producing lots of milk..one thing I have noticed though is that when I do the night feeds..I feel ravenous and a little faint so may resort to having a banana next to my bed..Im careful to watch what I eat though..I paid for it when we had an indian meal the other day

Olivia is a little restless I think as Im on strong anti biotics due to a horrible sinus infection and a decongestant drop..however phoned drugline up and the lactation pharmacist said they were fine..am worrying a little though that the decongestant has got into my blood and then milk

tomlin..BF babies tend to produce fewer poos so try not to worry..Olivia can go a couple of days with no poo.

Angel..typical washing machine packing up when you need it most..I sympathise with the school run thing..Im struggling to get up there on time as Olivia decides she wants feeding about 2 ish..and I have to leave the house at 2.30

Olivia grunts too..and gurns..and farts..never known a baby like her!

SK..I hope Jacob is feeling better soon..poor little thing

Had my repeat GTT on thursday and it came back normal..Im not diabetic

rachelfruitloop · 13/06/2010 23:12

Hello Ladies!

I've been trying to write a post for days and days and it just isn't working out to plan, so I'm just winging it now. Sorry for the lack of many personals!

SK my Eric also has bad baby acne, and my MIL was saying it was a milk rash, I was feeling rather guilty that I wasn't washing him enough until I read your post about Jacob's baby acne and that it's caused by mummy hormones in the baby's system. My DS1 had it as well, but don't remember it being as bad! Eric also has boobies - he has swelling and lumps under his nipples! I read online that this is also from mummy hormones so poor Eric must have got a big dose from me. I plan to call the health visitor about it tomorrow just to see what she has to say about it, but I think it's fairly common from what I read online and should go away in a couple of weeks.

Sassles well done on getting that job, that's excellent news! So sorry that Samuel has a skin infection, I hope it's clearing up ok.

Hollyoaks and any others struggling a bit with the older DCs, we're having a bit of dissension coming out now that MIL has gone home. My DS1 told me today that he wishes the baby could go back in my tummy! I'm not sure how I'll cope when DH goes back to work, I thank my lucky stars he's still off for 3 more weeks. Hats off to all of you who have been on your own lately, and especially to you Itshappened doing it on your own. It's a real shame Florence's dad isn't interested in seeing her.

ML I am so excited to hear about Olivia cooing and smiling! I can't wait to see Eric smile, he is so nearly, but I doubt we'll see a real one for a couple more weeks. I think once you start getting real emotive reactions out of them it is really fun. I think my DS1 will appreciate this in the baby especially.

I am feeling very emotional and tired, I knew that I would, but it's still hard to cope with. I just keep telling myself that these interrupted nights are only temporary and it will be a distant memory in a few more weeks (fingers crossed). Most mornings lately it's been DS1 waking us up at crazy early hours that is causing most of the problems!

Eric is 3 weeks old and is feeding very well, but I think we're having the growth spurt as he wants to marathon feed the past few evenings. I've not expressed for a couple of days as he's drinking it all! Our nights are mixed, one night he wants to feed every 2 hours, the next he might go 3 or nearly 4 hours between feeds. Sometimes I can get him to settle in the moses basket for part of the night and sometimes he just wants to be in bed with me and DH. He settles better in the basket when he has the dummy, but TBH some nights I'm too tired to keep putting it back in his mouth when it falls out so I just keep him in bed with me. In general, Eric is a lovely chilled out baby, and he seems to use me as a laxative, as every time I feed him he grunts very loudly and forcefully pushes out squelchy poos that sound like comedy sound effects! He's also remarkably good at bringing up his wind, unlike DS1 who was very hard to get to burp. I'm not sure how much Eric weighs now, must be at least 12 lbs, but he's busting out of his 0-3 month sized clothes and is mainly wearing 3-6 month sizes! Won't be long until we've outgrown size 2 nappies as well, glad I didn't stock up now!

I'm meant to start going to physio for my separated stomach muscles soon. Not looking forward to finding the time and effort for that, but I know I must do it if I want to recover properly.

DS1's birthday was a success, the train cake came out well, I only finished it just in time!(if you'd like to see it, the photos are here.) He has just discovered Ben 10, so as I had to learn all the trains' names in Thomas and Friends, I now have to remember the aliens names from Ben 10! Makes me glad I have 2 boys and can make good use of what I've learned about these things! Alimouse it is great that you are enjoying your son and that your older son didn't mind sharing his birthday with the baby!

Still no word from Homebirthmummy4, I hope that everything went well with the induction. It's been about a week now, just wondering when everyone would like to move to a postnatal thread?

I can see that most of you are busy/shattered like I am so the thread has slowed down quite a bit. I am still reading with interest, especially on my mobile whilst I'm feeding Eric at 3am! I'll try to post shorter ones more often when I can!

Yesterday I was watching football with the boys, cheering for my homeland (USA) with my DS1 while DH and Eric supported England. Half of the house is pleased with the result, I think we got lucky!

I hope all of you are doing ok and enjoying your beautiful babies as much as I am!

rachelfruitloop · 13/06/2010 23:18

X-post BRB, I'm eating a lot, and not really watching what I eat (still eating lots of junk!) except trying to avoid spicy foods as ML said, I paid for it! Like Memory, I'm also drinking a lot of water. Trying to remember to drink as much as I can as I feel like I'm literally being sucked dry!

pamelat · 14/06/2010 09:22

hello everyone one handed typing again. alex 4 weeks old today and suddenly i feel a bit more in control, that said i have had family around for 3 days who have burped, changed nappies and held between feeds - it enabled alex to go 2 hourly between day feeds too so he has proven he can so will try to encourage that now, if that works can stick at breastfeeding.

bad night last night but brilliant one night before 930pm 230am 530 am and 7am !

bad night was 10, 12, 2, 3, 5, 630 and up.

feel worst is behind me?!! who know but i can tell myself

re food i eat 2 breakfasts at mo one at 5am feed and one with dd about 730.

lots water too, prob 8 pints a day

alex really smells though, of rotten egg! he has sma formula now at 10pm ish so hv said it could be him getting used to that?

dd poorly today but nursey said to just take her in so like a bad mother i did just very tired. she was sick but says she fine and wanted to go .....

sweetkitty · 14/06/2010 10:19

Just back from dentist having filling for piece of tooth that fell out when I was pregnant. Jacob was quite unsettled last night too I took him to bed about 9.30pm with me and he must have fed for about an hour before dropping off, woke up at 3ish and had both sides but took ages to go back to sleep, had quick feed at 6am before getting up at 8am for the day. He's been asleep since then though.

Rachel - I researched baby acne and no cure, in fact frequent washing can make it worse, all that was recommended was plain water once or twice a day. It is different to milk spots which are white, acne is proper yellow spots, Jacob doesn't have spots anymore but red flaky skin. Don't know about the dummy issue but I think at this stage your milk supply should be well established.

Re diet mine is awful well just the same as normal really, have found I need chocolate in the evening and lots of water. Have to lose a half stone still to get back down to pre pregnancy weight, it's all sitting on my hips and thighs, tummy is flat. But I need new jeans and need to lose the flab before I get some.

ML - hope you feel better soon Sinus infections are horrid

pamelat - sorry about the bad night, hopefully these babies will settle themselves down for us soon

Right better go got a million and one things to do before picking DD2 up and hopefully my numb face will be better.

kateyjane · 14/06/2010 10:30

Congratulations to all the June arrivals

Sorry I haven't posted for a while, but we have just returned from our first holiday as a family of six. We had a fab week in Norfolk and Cambridge - despite the weather! I was wandering what on earth I was thinking taking a 3.5 week old on holiday, but it has been a lovely {and tiring)experience. Now we're home the house looks like a bombs hit it!

Thomas is coming up to 5 weeks now and I can't believe how quickly the time is going. Like SK and ML have said I'm trying to treasure every moment. I feel really upset, mainly because he is definately our last. My DSIL had her first baby last week and for some reason I felt very jealous - hormones are a strange thing

Thomas is now completely formula fed, and I dried up very quickly, didn't even feel full or anything so I guess there couldn't have been much there. Another thing to feel jealous and sad about when I see other people doing it so successfully.

I do still have a brand new (used x3) medela swing electric breast pump (in box with receipt) with 3 medela bottles and an unopened pack of medela milk storage bags to sell if anybody is interested.

I have once again sucumbed to my pram addiction and bought the mamas and papas Urbo, which I love. We would never have got the iCandy apple in the boot with all the holiday stuff (at least that's how I justified it to DH

Very sorry for all of you who have poorly babies and hope they are all improving.

Hope everyone is getting on well with feeding and coping with the lack of sleep.

I will catch up properly and write more personals when I have conquered the mountain of washing!!

Hope everyone is doing really well

itshappenedagain · 14/06/2010 12:13

hello ladies!
ive not posted for a while so appologies if i miss anyone.

TCH- glad feeding is going well.

Cupcake and other being mummy dummy, i have eventually resorted toa dummy at night as we had very bad nights followed by constant want to suck...have the tommy tippie (sp) close to nature orthodontic ones. and as much as i hate them i could not cope with trench nipples any longer especially as she prefered one side and the other would leak and would have soggy breast pad too.

angel im sure that you are doing fine...i look to you for inspiration as i only have 2.
mogg- i have found that since pregnancy everyone has had advice...the perfect pregnany, baby, child...and aparently all mother mothers childrens sleep through at 8 weeks. my frined told me hers both did from 8 weeks, i just nod and smile. i also just go with what works, when Ds was a ababy i listened to everyone and their 'helpful' shite advice until i realised i knew my ababy and my body best.

ml Florence aslo does the school run thing, and even if i wake her so we can get tout of the door on time she feeds longer. my solution is my sling, as she can feed as run. but if you have to go in the car than it probably wont help! also yeah and not being diabetic!!!!

rachel how bad are your stomach muscles. my midwife hadnt even feel my stomach, i know mine are shot but have been told i cant go back to the gym until after 6-8 week check. i was back in the gym after william within a few days untill i got an infection and couldnt even get out of the door. think i will be doing 8 minute abs again, as need to tone up all the skin its like dough. {vom}

brb as florence seems to have allergies i have had to remove wheat and dairy from my diet, as they seem to cause more reflux and screeming folloewed by dihorea (sp?) she also screems after pure fruit juices even the smallest amounts. but before this i was eating anything. including a family size bar or aero. i wouldnt worry about your weight too much i lved on junk with william onad when he was 6 months old weight a stone less that before i had him! your body naturally holds fat around your hips/waist, is a fault in eveolution for us, it means if foos were to run out we would have fat reserves to feed our ababies, it will go!

pamelat i also have the good nights then the babd just to shake things up, still no routine, but we are all up washed and dressed by 8 am everyday so i class that as ok! Florence smells too, others cant smell it though, like a cheesy smell, but dont want to go washing her every 5 mins or using all senty things, so will have to live with it.

SK im sure your girls will survive with no emotional scaring, its just strange when your youngest is no longer that. also hope you aren't numb for too long.

KJ glad you had a good holiday.

im taking florence to be weighted today after ai drop Ds at school. Florence gined 13oz last week and seems to be settling better with the change in diet, although have started to keep a food diary to see if there are any other trigers.
i get my long awaited for exam results on thursday so if you would all keep your fingers crossed then i may stand a hope in hells chance of passing! sorry to anyone i missed. il try and keep up a bit better now, but am very envious of those with snazzy phones!

Den26 · 14/06/2010 12:45

Tomlin - Like pigley i have started giving Rian infacol as he has trapped wind too but from the other end!! Poor wee mite - hate seeing him scrunch up in pain

Angel - we have strated giving Rian a formula bottle for his last feed of the day too, seems to settle him at night. Amazed you are managing to entertain your busy household!!

ML - yeah re no more diabetes!!!

BRB - MW had told me to up the calories at my last visit from her. Recommended porrige, baked potatoes, pasta etc and lots of water.

Rian doing ok here apart from the wind Is feeding around 11pm then at 2am and 6am. WHich i think i'm coping with.

Attempting a visit back home this weekend - 2.5 hours in the car and probably chaos trying to visit everyone in 3 days!!

Sorry to anyone i've missed - reading all posts with great interest - it helps to hear we're all going through similar things

pamelat · 14/06/2010 13:49

i passed my exam! 70%. needed 40% to pass so very happy

Carikube · 14/06/2010 13:53

BRB I haven't changed my diet though i do allow myself more treats at the moment. Also DH and I have set up a 'World Cup snack tray' so we do have lots of bad things to eat during the football . Other than that, I'm pretty much eating anything though I am avoiding orange juice as I've heard that can cause LO discomfort (though given the amount of spicy food/onions etc that I've eaten, I think she has an iron constitution anyway...). I'm also gulping lots of water.

I give Alice her last feed at about 10.30pm and she's currently going through until about 4.30am so although I'm tired, I think we're doing ok. BF certainly seems to be going so much better this time round so I really just hope that I manage to keep it up. Having said that, DH and I are off to see a band next week so I need to think about what I'm going to do if she needs a feed whilst I'm out.

hollyoaks · 14/06/2010 16:23

just marking my place as seem to have lost the thread , will aim to catch up later.

itshappenedagain · 14/06/2010 16:34

pamelat congratulations...where do you go from here?

Carikube · 14/06/2010 18:02

Sorry pamelat - it took me so long to type my previous post that I didn't see your post. Many congratulations!!!

memorylapse · 14/06/2010 18:12

Still got my sinus infection..wretched abs are not touching in

mollycuddles · 14/06/2010 18:49

Ok - going to try to do a proper post as opposed to a mid feed iPhone one when I can't manage any personals and am brain addled (not that I'm any less addled just cause I've managed to switch on laptop...) Molls is sleeping on DH's chest but is bound to waken soon - I've been doing some correspondence and checking emails etc.

Well done pamelat - what a star
fab news re diabetes ML but bad news re sinus infection. You sound so organised - really glad Olivia is such a wee pet
don't worry about losing track hollyoaks - just bluff it like me!
carikube - I had a disaster BFing DS but a different experience with DD1 - I think the first six weeks are the hardest by far so I reckon it should start getting easier for you soon. I'm only at 3 weeks but it's going well here too. Do you manage to go to sleep when Alice does at 10.30? I find I'm busy trying to get organised that I'm not making the most of Molly's sleep just yet.
den26 - I lived a long way from family with DS and DD1 and the visits were taxing but babies usually sleep in the car so fingers crossed for you. This time my DM and DF are nearby but I never seem to get a day without a visit from them or friends/colleagues etc - not sure it isn't better to have some distance. I am tired of being sociable and having to keep the house tidy! (grumpy, antisocial cow emoticon needed)
den26 and tomlin - hope colic settles soon. I had long unsettled times with DD1 - not sure if it was just newborn stuff or colic but it passed eventually. I think knowing that nothing is forever is the most useful thing about being on my 3rd (an amateur compared to ML and Angel though).
good luck with exam results itshappenedagain - 13oz in a week is fab and glad the dietary changes have helped. So far Molly is happily not fussy what I eat but after a pregnancy of hating almost all my normal food, I reckon she owes me that!
Don't feel bad about the BF hassles kateyjane - it seems so much the luck of the draw and Thomas got the super benefits of he colostrum so that's something to be really proud of. Not BFing DS definitely contributed to me getting PND - be good to yourself because he really doesn't mind, you know and sounds like you're doing a grand job coping with holidays and all. My DS has no skin problems or chest problems (strong family history of asthma and eczema) and is scarily bright despite being formula fed. I am sure Thomas will be just fine too.
SK - yuck re dentist - I need to go too. DS had a dental abscess just before Molls was born and he was back at the dentist today. He went in on his own (he's 12) and had his tooth removed - very proud of how brave he was. He's well grumpy with his numb face and the drooling though. Hope you are recovered now.
Rachel Eric is growing brilliantly. Wow. Sorry your DS1 is struggling. We had the same with DS when DD1 was born. He asked me to drop her off at lost property after a few weeks (he was 3). I think he's glad we kept her - at least some of the time, anyway.
Angel hope the washing machine recovered or has been replaced. Our freezer appears to be on its last legs and we stupidly bought a fancy, pretty one when we moved in here - I can't find a cheap replacement to fit the space. I'm praying for a miraculous recovery!
Moggmum another good thing about being an old hand is I am confident enough to tell anyone with their suggestions re routines/sleeping/feeding etc to naff off. I'm beginning to wonder why we bought a new moses basket. My friend and neighbour is pg - her first and I think I'll give it to her if she wants it. Molls hasn't spent 10 minutes in it yet! I might give expressing a go, too before 6 weeks as want to get a decent hair cut and colour (to hide the ton of gray) before DS and DD1 are off school for the summer.
brb I'm just eating normally re bf. I need to lose a stack of weight. I am not much above my pre-pg weight but I'm convinced being such a heifer was part of way my pregnancy sucked so much. I am eating yoghurts which isn't a usual favourite but as I don't like milk, it's one way to get some calcium to replace all that Molly is efficiently removing.
ouch re haematoma cupcake - hope it's all healing well
nice to hear how well Corin is doing heffa
hope Lucy manages a better aim next time pigley and gets DH!!!

Healing vibes to all stitches and poorly LOs and hope we hear from HBMummy and others soon as I think the postnatal clubs are calling us.

mollycuddles · 14/06/2010 19:02

I've finally uploaded a pic of Molls to FB

cupcakefairy · 14/06/2010 19:43

Hi ladies.
Thankfully things are improving in my nether regions! Had laser and ultrasound treatment at the physio today and I can now walk & sit a little easier. Jude is on some kind of early growth spurt I think as he just wants to feed constantly - so exhausting! Thankfully my supply is good- milk runs all over his face & he ends up practically choking trying to keep up

He also has a v gunky eye at the mo that mw has advised me to clean with breastmilk...we'll see if it works otherwise it's GP.

He's also been doing some epic poos the last few days; our bath was filled with poo stained clothes being soaked last night! Whoever said Huggies are rubbish for newborn poo was very right!! We got the free pack with the Bounty voucher and definitely won't be buying those!! Pampers are far superior.

We saw the Advanced Midwifery Practitioner today too to go over the labour notes & was really helpful in understanding what happened. carikube I think I'll be applying for a copy of my notes too.

It's so good to read everyone's experiences & know that I'm not alone! I think I might get a dummy for Jude too just to settle him at night; he's impossible to get off my boob!
ML I get ravenous during night feeds too! Glad it's not just me. A banana is a good idea.

Really hope homebirthmummy is ok- I think we should move to postnatal once we've heard from her; will be good to get to the other side!

Sorry not to post more personals but I am reading all your posts with great interest. Hope everyone's doing ok

Hi ladies.
Thankfully things are improving in my nether regions! Had laser and ultrasound treatment at the physio today and I can now walk & sit a little easier.
