Looking for some fellow late Januaryers to whisper about BFPs for late Jan 2011!! Just taken the test this afternoon and thrilled to be pg with #3 potentially (two DDs who are 19m and 3y). Anyone else out there?

Thank f* for that!! Sooooooo pleased for you, I've been checking every 10 mins or so to see if you'd got back - also, I wished on an eyelash Hmm this morning that all would be fine :)

Really pleased for you :)

Fab news Ladyb

ZippyPippy · 20/08/2010 09:12

Great news ladyb x

Ryuk · 20/08/2010 16:51

Hurrah LadyBuzz! :)

...also we had our 16-week (at more like 17 weeks) appointment yesterday! Our midwife was on holiday, so we had a stand-in, who looked at me and asked if it was our first appointment! Wasn't sure to feel good or bad about that - yay low weight gain, wah small bump. Confused

Still, heard the heartbeat. Grin

jjkm glad everyting went well. Hope they can see next time. fingers crossed the bleeding is nothing to worry about its good that the doc doesn't think it is anything.

I'm hoping to find out the flavour this week if the little blighter behaves - its legs were crossed and tucked underneath last time!

BubbaAndBump · 22/08/2010 16:01

I'm keeping it a surprise until Jan - although have finally told my DDs and DD#1 thinks it's a "boy brother"

Just been camping (for free thanks to another mumsnetter!) in Gloucestershire. Some VERY wet weather and lots of sploshing in puddles, so three billion wash loads to do... (one thing I'm def. not looking fwd to is the increased washing - think we may have to invest in another washing machine!! especially as we use recyclable nappies, and DD#2 is showing no signs of wanting to potty train :( )

Oh yes, and DH felt baby kick (or wriggle at least!) last night! :o Very exciting :o

Evening all

Back from deepest Herefordshire. Baby has had a few wiggles - firstly in a bookshop, my idea of heaven, and then when I was doing a tour at a cider farm, OH's idea of heaven. :)

Just caught up on LadyB's news - good to hear all's ok.

BubbaAndBump · 22/08/2010 21:26

Aww RunningK that's lovely - it's a great (if weird!) feeling isn't it, and fab that your little one's favouring both of your hobbies! :)

I'm afraid you're going to have to now indulge me as I need a big whinge! I've got a horrible cold, sore throat and ear ache plus had to go back to work today after a week off. Cheering myself up by eating DDs chocolate buttons.
Rant over, hope all are well x

FloraPost · 24/08/2010 07:42

Ah Fuzzy, that was only a small whinge! You are entitled to bang on if you want Grin. Hope you feel better quickly.

Nothing much to report here, no kicks (boo), still being sick & losing weight, but not as fast as before. Would love some time off work but have decided to save my leave entitlement to take at the end of mat leave next year, thus getting an extra month on full pay. Has anyone else decided yet how long to take off?

My middle is starting to look really porky, but doesn't look like a bump as such. I wheeled out the bump band for the first time yesterday which was semi-successful. The lower bit covered up my undone top button really well and helped the jeans stay up, but the top bit is too loose & kept falling down. I guess that will resolve if the bump ever comes but at this rate I might even get to the half way point without mat clothes (fingers crossed).

BubbaAndBump · 24/08/2010 11:51

Poor you Fuzzy - although I agree with Flora that that was hardly a big whinge. Hope work wasn't too crappy, and more importantly hope it was the cadbury's giant buttons - they are pure lush! :o

Flora - do you want me to have a (stern but gentle) word with MiniFlora? It's really about time baby started to behave and stopped making you sick, as joke's over now. 2nd trimester should all be about blooming and feeling tip top (and other feelings which I'm too British to mention before midday Wink :o ).

I went to work today and met another teacher who's 20 weeks with her 1st baby - no real bump to speak of but a healthy 20 week scan yesterday. Honestly though, standing next to her (and she's 2 weeks ahead of me) I look about 7 months!! Hmm

Anyway, off to prepare rice pudding for pudding tonight - yummmmmmmmsh

flora i have sympathy in buckets for you. I swear if this was my first it would be an only child. I still feel awful, and to top it all I've had a sickness bug too Angry

Back at the hospital for another scan tomorrow and will hopefully find out what we are having Grin.
I've been really weak and woozy for the last few days and keep feeling like i'm going to pass out, not nice, my asthma is also playing up (yes I am feeling massively sorry for myself!!). Maybe I need to mention this when I go in tomorrow!

bubba i'm huge too, my RLF is 32 wks and I'm bigger Blush Grin I don't carry my babies neatly though!

LadyBuzz · 24/08/2010 16:49

Fuzzy hope you are feeling better soon too. colds are crap!

BubbaAndBump · 24/08/2010 19:08

Poor you LadyB for feeling crappy, yes, mentioning it all may well be a good plan (I'm going to bet on low iron count). Glad you're huge, although we may need to get a bigger sofa to slob on together and munch our way through naughty foods if we're going to make it to 40 weeks (although 38/39 would be just fine too :) )

Good luck with LadyBaby uncrossing its legs for you tomorrow so you can have a good peek at something (or at nothing!) :)

Where's the rest of the late-Januaryers? We seem to be thinning out (not physically, of course!) :o

Hi

I keep forgetting about thhis thread - I'll add it to my favourites, so I can see how everyone else is doing.

I've been given EDD of 31st Jan - and i'm dead excited - we'd been trying for 5 years...

Live in Syria as DH works for Foreign office, but going to my mum's to have baby (Devon)

So... onto the baby stuff :) i've been crazily tired last 3 dasy - is anyone else feeling that?

I'm not too obviously big, but I was a size 24 at start of pregnancy, so figure i won't show for AGES. Although my boobs have got huge already and very sore...

I'm the same as ladybuzz - had a scan and couldn't find out the sex as the baby was in wrong position - so hopefully next scan will tell me.

Anyhow - sorry for dropping in so suddenyl - HELLO - and i promise to be on here more regularly (like you care... ha ha!)

BubbaAndBump · 24/08/2010 19:48

We do care CupcakesHay and welcome :) The more the merrier. My crazy tiredness has gone a bit thank God, it's hard to look after two DCs when you're asleep Blush

Is your DH going to be able to join you for the birth? Will you have to fly out at 6 months?

FloraPost · 24/08/2010 21:15

"(and other feelings which I'm too British to mention before midday)."

Bubba Really? REALLY?! Well that has certainly passed me by. DP hasn't been allowed anywhere near me for bloody ages now. Not that any sane man would want to, with my foul temper (if awake, which is rare) and persistent odour of sick.

Well done Cupcakes, we were trying for 3.5 years. Hope upduffedness is treating you well. I'm less tired than I was but I think I am managing it better too. I definitely want to know the sex so thinking of getting a private scan if the Floralet doesn't co-operate at 20 weeks.

LadyBuzz · 24/08/2010 21:21

cupcakes good to see you! good luck for finding out next time!

bubba we may well need a giant one at this rate Grin when I was having DS2 a girl practically fell over herself in the town to get to me and say "oh my god you are so huge, how are you that big, I was never that big, does it hurt" hmm thanks for that and go away Grin

I've just won £40 on a bet on big brother Grin Grin

BubbaAndBump · 24/08/2010 21:33

OMG Flora yes - I'd try to come on to a tree if it looked right atm Blush :o - same with other 2 pregnancies. DH is getting it while he can as he knows it'll be a lonnnnnnnnnnng and lonely walk over the next few months :o :o

and OMG LadyBuzz how ruuuuuude!! I hope you swept sideways with your big ol' bump and knocked her into the street under the path of a big fat pregnant bus!

The midwives on the ante-natal ward kept mistaking me for the woman carrying twins with my DD2. My MIL called me "monstrous" ~ I kid you not Shock.
