Funny you should say that TicTac, I have gone from being a miserable cow these past few weeks to tormenting the hell out of DH and then uncontrollably giggling about it! I am not sure whether he prefers me to be grumpy or naughty!

TicTac · 08/08/2005 14:24

I think all DH's prefer naughty....isn't that how come we are all on this thread ?

Wow you've all been posting sooo much!!!

So excited about my scan now I've seen your pics!

Yup - I do seem to swell as the day moves on, I was assuing it was fluid etc shifting and muscles relaxing. Baby didn't like the air pressure with the plane though - I was curled up in lots of pain last night, very scared after the flight Fine again today though, so assuming it was pressure related.

TicTac · 08/08/2005 17:03

Oh flame I dont like the sound of you being in pain! Are you sure you don't need to make a call to your GP or MW (if you have one yet) and just run it by them??

OP posts:
flamesparrow · 08/08/2005 17:28

I'm fine today, really.

I react very very badly to the pressure in planes anyway (to the extent of us now deciding any holidays we take need to be car ones), and I think the exhaustion, plus changing pressure messed me up.

I promise to call someone if it comes back though.

Quick off topic bit... we bunged up the hole that a mouse was using to come in our lounge a few weeks ago... just been in medicine drawer in the kitchen to find a little nest made out of dioralyte packet and travel tissues!!!! Luckily no mouse in sight. Looks like its back to the poison... I thought we'd sussed it with the hole filling....

Tabs · 08/08/2005 18:15

My there's been a lot of chat on here today! I've actually had a busy day with work , so not had time to post.

Flamesparrow - lovely to have you back, and glad that you had a great time. I have the same problem with pressure on flights - I came back from Antigua a few years ago and wanted to cry the whole way!

Bubbles - thanks for popping in to tell us about your 4D scan. Only 14 weeks until mine .
TicTac/Chloe - the 4D scans aren't cheap, but they aren't normally as much as £400! We're paying £195 for mine, which seems to be about normal.

of you people having bumps already - I want one, I want one !

spacecadet · 08/08/2005 18:29

flame-i recall feeling rotton coming home from the algarve when i was 19 weeks preg with ds2, i also felt as though i was still flying for about a day afterwards.
im envious of everyone having 4d scans, dh kicked off about me having a babybond scan last time and im still trying to persuade him to let me have a 2d scan at babybond.
on a tmi note, my sex drive seems to have returned with a vengance and much to my embarrassment dd1 and ds1 had a go at me this morning, claming we kept them awake , the shame, i felt like a naughty school girl being reprimanded by my 14 year old

TicTac · 08/08/2005 18:59

Ooo space I wish mine had...go for it!

Anyone else having the odd grizzly crampy stuff? I am hoping it is all due to the baby moving up but if I need a wee (TMI) I have to go like right away or else it really hurts....

Frizbe · 08/08/2005 19:35

Oh yes tictac, been getting a bit of shifting about down there myself with bits moving about to make room, had forgotten all about the painful bits, as you do......

Chloe55, I used a sling a bit with dd, but to be honest dd didn't take to it very much, and after a while, it killed my back, so personally wouldn't expect to use one for long periods of trundling around the shops/tescos! also remember kept bumping dd with the bar of the trolley.....ahem, probably just bad driving by me She and I were much happier when she was in the carrier, straight out of the car, into the trolley (she also stayed asleep that way!)
That been said, I recommend a back carrier for when kids get a bit bigger, great for loosing weight, and great for them, as they can see more!

JuA I saw a three seater buggy for your prediciment whilst I was on maternity leave last time, it was a length ways buggy, imported from the states as I remember?

Ixel, I saw a really good buggy the other day, but unfortunately it was for dolls! am thinking I need to look at the E3 when set up for toddlers, as think it may have been ripped off from this!

Love the scan photos girls, keep em coming, I'll try to post mine next week!

BarefootMama · 08/08/2005 19:39

Does anyone know Babylily well?

We have not heared from her since last Tuesday - I tried a post but no reply.....

Feeling worried.

If you are around babylily - we are all thinking of you {{hugs}} x

TicTac · 08/08/2005 21:49

Frizbe - pleased it is not just me feeling some pain then. I really think there should be an ABC guide to your first pregnancy...how the bloomin' eck can you know all this stuff unless you have done it before

Barefoot - I also sent Babylily an email but I have had nothing back...I don't know her personally though so can't really help.

at this stage, i think your ligaments start stretching to make room for your growing uterus, i keep getting a pulling, stitch like pain on my left, i have to be careful i dont get wee infections as i have deformed kidneys and they dont like me being preg!
looking forward to some more scan pics.
i hope babylily is ok too.

ixel · 09/08/2005 08:02

Frizbe; i love the E3.. but its just so expensive, even second hand. I cant afford it , and cant justify it as ds prob wont be in it for all that long! I need someting just like it that costs about 50 quid!
Have got my booking in apointment next Monday - -finally-- so I'm starting to feel like things are finally happening. Pregnancy seems so much longer the second time round!

TicTac · 09/08/2005 08:57

Morning Ladies,

Hope all is well with you this morning!

chloe55 · 09/08/2005 09:28

Morning everyone,

Had a panic last night. I had really bad wind/indigestion yesterday and so was legged out on my sofa, my cat decided to jump on up onto my tummy so I quickly pushed her off but she fell, panicked and lashed out with her claws - the first thing she grabbed hold of was my lip! It started bleeding quite a bit and I was stressing about toxoplasmosis etc - ended up in tears running round for the dettol and when I found it I dabbed it on my lips quickly but didn't dilute it first in my mad rush to kill any germs - big mistake! I then spent all night with ice on my lips because I had managed to burn my top lip with neat Dettol! So on top of having a cat gouge my face, make me bleed, make me panic I was gonna harm the baby I then burnt myself, clever! Anyway the swelling has gone down today and the cut isn't as bad as first thought. That was my eventful night for you. Oh, and I still have tummyache due to excessive gas!

teuch · 09/08/2005 09:38

aw chloe...sounds like something from a really bad comedy film! Sorry for your discomfort but I thought these things only happened to me...

I am actually feeling quite good these days although sleep is a real issue - I don't feel like I get into a deep sleep at all, dreams are busy, busy, busy and I keep waking on my front (my usual position) which is now really uncomfortable!!

Team that with shooting pains through my boobs, stretching pains in my tum, wind, constipation, spots, heavy discharge and occasional nausea...

I am actually loving it in case you can't tell!!

(15+2ish)

TicTac · 09/08/2005 09:38

Chloe so sorry but LOL!!!! Glad your lip is ok and the trauma has passed though.
As for the wind, I suggest you take a warm bath, go for a walk or go up and down the stairs a few times. I am sure that will lead to some relief!

TicTac · 09/08/2005 09:41

Morning Teuch, sounds like you are having a great time!

A collegue at work had her 20 week scan yesterday, she just brought her picture over to show me.....OHG...huge baby!!!

OP posts:
chloe55 · 09/08/2005 09:52

I am having strange dreams too and I wake up at 4am every morning for about 1/2 hr then go back to sleep - weird, it is always to the minute! I am a front sleeper aswell and it is beginning to get uncomfortable, I am panicking now though because I can't sleep on my back and always get pins and needles in my arm if I sleep on my side.

teuch · 09/08/2005 11:04

yup - that's exactly the same with me...4am wake up, wake up with dead arm if try to sleep on side...

I think it is our bodies getting us into to training for broken sleep!

TicTac · 09/08/2005 12:39

and I am a 3am wake up....usually for abou 30 - 60 minutes!!!

What you ladies need is a tempur mattress and 6 pillows each in a mixture of tempur, buckwheat filled, feather and foam - they all have a purpose you know

TicTac · 09/08/2005 13:19

Very homeopathic tabs...although I will settle for DH not snoring!

OP posts:
teuch · 09/08/2005 13:33

anyone getting headaches?
