Here we go, pull up a deck chair, catch some rays and help yourselves to a mini eggs ice cream.

Hi nunnie, pleased to hear I am not the only one struggling. I am just wanting for the panic to set in to help me think clearly and I keep telling myself I only need to pass not get a great grade. Good luck with the resit and good luck with the exam in October. I sat an exam when I was 6 months pregnant with DD and got to sit it one my own with an invigilator so I didn't disturb anyone with my constant eating and toilet breaks!

Tyson86 · 17/04/2010 10:40

Best thing about pregnancy? That it only lasts nine months.

Now that would be nice BackAgain, but a couple of years ago I sat behind a woman who was full term and her waters had broken that morning but she discharged herself, and she still sat her exam with the rest of us , she had her little boy within 4 hours of finishing the exam, and she passed I was pretty impressed at that, but if my waters broke, I don't think I would even think about my exam to be honest. With DD my labour was pretty quick in the sense that I got the trots (information probably not required I know), rang the hospital, got there had no pain apart from trot pain (could have been contractions I suppose but I expected keeling over crying pain and didn't get it), I was 5cm's when I got to hospital, and within 10mins I told my hubby I think I need to push, and he ran off, midwife ran in saying whatever you do don't, had a look and said no ignore me just push, and that was it waters broke and Freya's head was out. Very surreal and scary.

Now how was that relevant to what I was saying?? No idea sorry waffling again.

You hormones may help you remain calm in your exam you never know, or you may bite someones head off, whichever path you go down I am sure you will be fine, and will be taking more in that you think x

nunnie · 17/04/2010 11:10

How did you meet your Dp? Through friends.

What was your first gig? Stereophonics, I was a late starter.

Place i'd be? Borneo again.

Best thing about pregnancy? What comes after 9 months

Dp changing nappies? Too right!

ellabella2 · 17/04/2010 11:36

Thank you for all the lovely welcomes.

Is it still aloud to answer the Friday 5 on Saturday? Anyway:

How did I meet DP: we worked in the same team together.

First gig: can't remember but going to see Faithless at the end of the month and then going to Glastonbury Festival in June soooo excited.

Dream place to be: lying on a sunlounger with an alco-free cocktail on a beach in Thailand.

Best thing about being pregnant: just actually being pregnant. Still can't believe I'm actually living my dream!!

DP changing nappies: definitely, she has far more experience with little babies than me and is really keen to share parenting responsibilites equally when not at work.

Hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful sunshine we have here today. HOpe no one was planning any trips abroad with all the chaos on the airlines. We are off to Cornwall for the week tomorrow so hoping the sun holds. Glad we opted not to go to Greece instead! What a disaster for a 'last holiday as just the two of us' that would have been.

Great respect for all those studying while pregnant BackAgain / Nunnie et al.

AbFabT · 17/04/2010 12:04

VMum, a convertible what? I would like a convertible VW Camper Van!!!

LOL @ nunnie with 'trot pain'! (LOL @ the expression, not the trot pain itself!)

You are good with the questions, SeaShells!

How did you meet your dp? I knew of him from both being on the same discussion forum (we are both vegan and both into fitness and there was a forum encompassing the two.). There was a weekend of mountain-biking planned in Wales, he was going, I initially wasn't, but three people dropped out on the Thursday, I knew the organiser and said I'd fill in at late notice. Arrived Friday night, took one look at him and knew he had to be mine. A year to the day later, I married him.

What was the first gig you went too? Think it was MC Hammer!

If there was one place in the whole world you could be right now where would it be? Pretty happy wherever I am with DH.

What is the best thing about being pregnant? Feeling like I am part of something miraculous. I actually started thinking a couple of years ago that it might not happen, as I was single and was getting on a bit, but then everything changed!

Will your dh be seen changing a nappy or running a mile?!! He's as keen as I am! (Both are absolute beginners!)

sam12 · 17/04/2010 13:02

how did you meet your dp? He shot me with a water pistol!!

First gig- Jason Donovan I was only 11!

Place I'd be- got married a year ago yesterday in Cuba and would be back there with all my friends and family in the sun.

Best thing about pregnancy- eventually it will be over and I will have a baby.

DP changing nappies- yeh am sure he'll be great

Will have to spend today outside it is lovely and sunny here today.

Elsa123 · 17/04/2010 13:24

Hello all- I finished my essay! All handed in and am going to work on the stairs now. Hope everyone is having a lovely sunny weekend x x

Met DH through work.

Place I'd be, verona, in a side street cafe, drinking prosecco (well, we are fantasizing...).

Best thing about pregnancy- that I'm no longer as bloated as a Zeppelin.

DH changing nappies- he used to live with someone who had a small child, so I'm hoping he'll teach me as I am clueless.

Hermya321 · 17/04/2010 13:47

I'm sat out in the garden enjoying the lovely sunshine, the weather is beautiful today. It's so nice, feel a bit more normal today.

We have been outside all day (well since I got up at 11:30. Feeling v hot all the time though , anyone else?
Spent a lot of time watching dh & my Dad moving big stones to the skip & feeling helpless. Garden is looking a lot better. building the new pond next time we have a clear weekend (says I, ignore dh!)

ILoveGregoryHouse · 17/04/2010 17:03

Aaaarrgghh. Am knackered. DS2 had his 5th birthday party today. It was a joint one with a little girl in his class so we had 30 kids. They had a magician and a treasure hunt and loved it. DS2 was so well behaved and DS3 was dancing to the music. DS1 dressed up as Frodo Baggins.Just a shame I'm too tired to enjoy it as much as normal.

Am 12 weeks today. Woo hoo! And the boys go back to school tomorrow.

Met DH through work.

Place I'd be - the Maldives

Best thing about pregnancy- hmm, will get back to you on that one.

DH changing nappies - yes, when he's actually here.

Tyson86 · 17/04/2010 19:40

Have been for a walk round salcey forest today with my nearly 2 yr old for miles and then went the pub and had a lemon and lime I really would love a pint of lager but being very good.
Its been lovely today hope everyone has had a great day.

ellabella2 · 17/04/2010 19:54

Tyson86 sounds like a lovely day out

Since I've been feeling more back to normal in the last couple of weeks and getting my appetite back I too have started to fancy a drink again All this lovely sunshine is making me rather thirsty for a nice cold cider or lager shandy. Have not wanted one enough yet and may not at all but am not ruling out having a very small drink of something really weak over the summer. Is that terrible of me? Mind you once I got as far as lifting the drink to my lips I might stop short thinking about little buba

ellabella2 · 17/04/2010 20:47

I just had a scan done with Babybond at 14+5. I could not recommend them enough (I used one in Cirencester). They were really friendly and gave us as much time as we wanted to ask loads of questions and they talked through every detail of the scan of buba. It felt like we were able to watch little one wriggling around for ages. Really was an excellent 'bonding' experience. Worth every penny
