Here we go, pull up a deck chair, catch some rays and help yourselves to a mini eggs ice cream.

Ooh I'm getting quite envious of all this new clothes talk. My wardrobe is sparse and old but my
clothes all fit so can't shop yet. I actually now think I'm not going to get bigger as quickly as I thought a few weeks ago. Must be less bloated now. I've only put on about two pounds so far (well, I have in the morning - always seems like more come evening). I could definitely do with more longer tops though. I suppose I could look for ordinary ones for the time being but I generally hate shopping and also can't do it with ds in tow. I would say he's a typical boy in shops but actually he's more like me - dp is more interested in shopping generally than I am, certainly more effective than me! Perhaps online is the way ahead.

floozietoozie · 19/04/2010 22:40

One more thing - are people still taking folic acid?

Hevster · 20/04/2010 07:42

floozietoozie i was about to say i stopped taking the folic acid at 12 weeks and then remembered it's in the vitamins I take, however as soon as i stop being sick I will stop taking them. Hope telling people at work goes ok today.

me i'm off to Pembrokeshire today with work - taking bets on how many times I have to stop the car to chuck on the way!

SeaShellsOnTheSeaShore · 20/04/2010 07:45

Floozie-it's difficult to know how to tell your boss isn't it, especially if she is tttcing. I had to tell 2 friends who are ttcing and recently mc'd- it was hard, but ultimately they were happy for me, I just had to accept it wasn't going to be straight forward.

I'm taking prednicare (contains folic) and iron, and will carry on as I got very anaemic last pg. I also wasn't ttcing when I got pg sp folic started a bit late!

They have shut the office for the week out of respect, so I have another day without ds: today will be scrubbing flat (again) and trying to get the sand out of my poor car! And hopefully play theguitar and sleep

have a good day everyone!

sophieandbelly · 20/04/2010 07:59

DillyDora · 20/04/2010 08:28

Morning all, just off to GP to hear more about the ugly rash and hope he can reassure me about its effect (or not) on LO. Then the dentist to repair broken tooth...oh what a day! At least the sun is shining, eh?!

Very envious of all the lovely shopping! I don't really need anything yet except jeans, which are becoming urgent, I must go and look (I'm such a wuss at shopping) - would you say Mamas & Papas is best?

Have a great day everyone,
xxx

RooBear · 20/04/2010 08:49

Morning all, lovely day. I got my jeans from mamas and papas, they are great, but I can only wear look things with it as my bump isn't big enough yet. They had lovely summer tops and dresses in too! think I need more leggings though x

RooBear · 20/04/2010 08:49

ooops long not look

KSal · 20/04/2010 08:50

MummyLovesSadie please come back and tell us how you are getting on.

Hermya321 · 20/04/2010 09:10

Morning all!!

The sun is shining today and it's a beautiful day.

I'm starting to get a very tiny bump. I've still not put on any weight (not that I'm complaining) mostly still recovering from my nausea of the last few weeks.

Sophieandbelly I've had that as well yesterday, I thought it was just me. They do say that you got itchy in the second trimester.

AbFabT · 20/04/2010 10:13

Dilly, I had a good look around and was most impressed with Mamas and Papas jeans. They were on offer when I bought them so around the same price as those from H&M/New Look etc.

Hermya, is it your birthday around now? If so, Happy Birthday!

I guess I have put on weight though we don't have scales so I don't know the details. Feel a little bigger. Am now 16 weeks and a day! Had a feeling I might have felt a kick last night, but it might have just been a rumbly belly!

Katy86 · 20/04/2010 10:28

sophieandbelly ive had the same thing!

Has anyone else been waking up in the morning with a sore belly? Soon rectifys itself but just want to know if its just me?

nunnie great news on the scan!!!!

abfab how exciting about the kick

hoping everyone has a lovely day!xx

Hermya321 · 20/04/2010 10:40

Abfab Yeah it's today, thanks for remembering! Isn't yours around about now as well?

I went on the scales this weekend and I'm at my lowest weight since I was at Uni. My weight is normally pretty stable so it was a bit of a shock.

RooBear · 20/04/2010 11:02

aw happy birthday hermya321 I don't own any scales, the only time I find my weight out is if the nurse does it! I've stayed the same for about 6 years though, lovin' my mums good genes!

shieldbug · 20/04/2010 11:34

happy birthday hermya have a lovely day

katy86 sorry about this, but the sore belly in the morning may be wind!

BackAgain · 20/04/2010 12:07

Happy birthday Hermya - hope you are having a lovely day and that the sun is shining where you are

Katy86 · 20/04/2010 12:14

thank you shieldbug i had not thought of that

Katy86 · 20/04/2010 12:25

happy birthday Hermya i thought i already posted that

ImaKara · 20/04/2010 12:27

I'm getting the aches and pains in my back quite badly now. Was at the butchers yesterday and had to start doing stretches... looked odd... but hey-ho tis life.

katy86 I get aches in the belly in the morning and also in the evening - I've put it down to the wind.

I've been told twice now by colleagues (who are still unawares) that I look like I'm losing weight - now I haven't really had much in the way of MS just lots of nausia but I'm still packing the food away. I laugh it off and say thanks and think to myself that they won't be saying things like that to me soon enough so I might as well enjoy it while I can.

lilmissmummy · 20/04/2010 12:33

Happy Birthday hermya

Thanks, Katy86 - though I am just not certain it was a kick. Might have been wishful thinking!

You're welcome! Happy Birthday, Hermya!
Yes - mine is Thursday! Are we all updating the stats list with our new ages?!
Perhaps we should have a birthday list so we don't miss anyone! I think someone else is around now too.
