Hi everyone.
Happy Easter Weekend everyone

Smithy- congratulations! Have you told DH?

Playing - hope you are ok today- enjoy your nct meal

Tink- the coat arrived and it's fab! Thanks for the advice.

We've had a lovely day so far. Me and the SG have been to lovely 1st bday party. Met lots of really nice people and SG enjoyed some chocolate birthday cake

Hi everyone else- back on here sometime over the weekend

PS- this is GBL, decided to go back to by roots with my name

Diege · 02/04/2010 20:04

Hello! Sounds a nice day GIRAFFE at the party . Hi PLAYING, and good luck with NCT meal - hope you're ok today xx
TINKS, good going on Easter goodie shopping
Went to local children's farm today - bloody freezing and very muddy . Still, everyone (under the age of 9) enjoyed the indoor play area, but it was great to get home Dh is getting a Nandos now (I'm 'resting' from SW today )and have decided to investigate a malteser's egg that seems to have been bought in error . Talking of eggs, I've put my hand in my pocket and bought one for dh from Hotel Chocolat Only when it arrived I was surprised to see how tiny it was . Still, hopefully it's the thought and all that!
Right, I'm waffling - have series one of the Peep Show to watch! Hopefully back at some point over the weekend - away at parents tomorrow, then MIL's on Sunday..

GruffaloSoldier · 02/04/2010 21:33

Hello everyone,

well we had a lovely first birthday party today with our nearest and dearest.

only thing was ............

I had HORRIFIC nausea all day. Not actually being sick but came very close in the car on the way home. eek!!!!still have it now and cannot do anything. couldnt do GC's dinner without heaving...uh oh!!

I might test a bit sooner at this rate!!

right better go as my DF and DSM are here but will be back on tomorrow!!

Diege · 02/04/2010 23:00

oooh GRUFF...twins Seriously, a friend of mine felt like that 10 days after conception, and it really was twins Panic not though, only a single anecdote
Look forward to hearing more tomorrow!

Moosy · 03/04/2010 09:02

Well Diege I didn't stick to the times (getting up at 7? Really?) but I used the daytime sleep lengths and timings and last night she fed at 7.40, fell asleep at 8.30 and slept until.......... 8.30 this morning!!!

When are you going to test Gruff? I also have a friend who was hugely sick very early and went on to have twins, heehee

Diege · 03/04/2010 09:25

That's great MOOS! . See, good old SWCNBN, she may get stick but it does work . The 7am thing was actually ok for me, as mine never slept past then anyway (although on the odd occasion they did it was torture as 'lie-ins' normally followed disrupted nights.
How you feeling this morning GRUFF?
Off to Wales today to see parents; hoping weather will be ok!

Diege · 03/04/2010 09:28

Oh and GRUFF, not to add any pressure of course, but if the sickness is HCG-triggered, then you may well get the faintest of lines in the next few days...

GruffaloSoldier · 03/04/2010 11:24

hello there!

well i am still nauseous!had it all through the night and this morning much the same. not good and trying to convince my parents that I have a bug

i havent eaten since yesterday lunch, and that wasn't much, and I have been grazing very slowly on dry cornflakes this morning!and sipping on water. eek!

Might just be a bug though...

oh and please don't even joke about twins as my dad was a twin (his twin was still born) his sisters are twins, my grandad was a twin, my great grandad was a twin....etc etc

yikes!!!

Moosy - great news on sleepin!!

Have fun in wales Diege!

Moosy · 03/04/2010 12:28

Gruff, in all seriousness, if it's not a bug and you're feeling bad already, get some vitamin b6 and start taking 3 x 10mg a day. You can get it in Boots and I spotted it in Asda the other day too. I kept me sane and healthy (ish) this time round.

GruffaloSoldier · 03/04/2010 16:12

Thanks for the advice Moosy, I will def get some. I have managed most of a croissant and a few crisps and a couple of chewits today. Not the healthiest but all I could manage. I felt awful lying to my Dad and step mum.

I have also had some brown spotting this morning and nothing since so Im pretty sure thats implantation then

DH nearly fell off his chair when told him that followed by everyones comments re twins

when he went out this afternoon he said "Bye, Mummy, bye GC, bye Zygotes!" [sp?]LOL

Oh my oh my I better get the tests in too.

Diege · 03/04/2010 19:22

Hi GRUFF It is looking very positive I'd give it a few days vefore testing (if you were even thinking of testing then) as, if I remember, it's taken 2-3 days for me to get a (very faint) bfp after implantation bleed.
MOOS, I read with interest your advice about vit b - will def try it too if the time comes!
Wales was good, but sooo cold again. Just MIL to get through look forward to now, then big trips over and we can relax at home a bit! Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend x

GruffaloSoldier · 03/04/2010 21:54

Hello again!

well as you can tell, I am not doing much, as I cannot move. so I keep coming to the wagon. I have such bad wind in the top of my tummy, have warm bean thing on. Still feel nauseous but managed a small portion of spag bol earlier and just had a petit filous. poor DH is doing everything (usually split it 50:50 when we are both here) it is such a good job he is on hols now!

DIEGE - glad you enjoyed Wales, hope MIL visit goes ok.

Oh and I cannot test as I have no pg tests and I am in no state to go and buy any. DH thinks the 'step away from first response' threads are hilarious so he is def not going to get any for me before Wed

Starshinetiger · 03/04/2010 21:59

Hope you're all having a Happy Easter weekend.

Gruff - yay, how exciting (but pants that you are feeling so rough). Oooh, twins... that's all I'll say on that subject I think

We are making the most of our Easter weekend - softplay yesterday morning, today we went on the train into London and then to the London Aquarium - DS loved the train, but was already about ready to come home by the time we got to the Aquarium. DD slept all the way in the train and tube, loved the Aquarium and then slept half of way home. Had Nandos in town for tea, so lovely day in all . But, poor DS has a temp this evening and is not himself, so hope it is not a horrible bug

Off to my Aunt's for lunch tomorrow - just finished making an everything-free cottage pie for DS, DD and me, but at least I don't actually have to cook tomorrow

Diege - sounds like you had great fun with all the children over. Hope you survive enjoy MIL and then can enjoy Easter hols.

DH seems to be wavering on the no. 3 question, keeps making jokes about "the next one", but maybe that is only because I have backed off a bit on it?!

So, Easter egg hunt ready for tomorrow morning (tick); Easter bunny deliveries ready for morning (tick); lunch for tomorrow cooked (tick); glass of wine by my side (tick) - only wish it was larger, but bfing dramatically reducing now, so don't think it'll be much longer before it can be wine and choccies

Starshinetiger · 03/04/2010 22:01

Star puts not in diary for Weds to block time out for MN stalking perusal
Take it easy Gruff - glad DH is on hols to look after you.

'Tis this kind of thing that puts me off no.3 - needing DH to cope with 2DC while I am incapacitated by sickness.

Hope you can get some sleep through it tonight.

tinkhastwoeasterbunnies · 04/04/2010 10:09

Hi TINKS - enjoy your choc! I have a cream egg one off dh, and gfave him a chilli choc one from hotel chocolat. dd1 (and ds!) inundated as usual...
Have been thinking about you GRUFF and testing...(living vocariously) when if af due so I can make a decision for you?
STAR, have also put 'not in' in diary on weds, though am doing thurs instead this week...great to have the bank hol - feels like a real hol - well, not a rest as such but still..
