hi SES ye job is still good thanks very tiring but ill get used to it soon enough.

Rugbylovingmum · 30/03/2010 06:44

Ow ow ouch!!! DD has been feeding 3 times a night recently and waking lots so we decided to go back to letting her cry for 5min at a time and I wanted to drop her 12am feed. Last night she woke at 11.30 and it took until 1am to get her to sleep (she didn't cry for all of that - just woke every 10min or so) but she is still sleeping ! It is amazing, I haven't had 5 hours sleep in weeks but OMG my breasts feel like they are going to explode!!! Don't want to wake her before 7 but feel a bit sick, maybe I should go and express a little. Does show she CAN go from 8-7 without a feed so we just have to stick with the sleep training this time.

MMM - glad job is good and I hope it gets less tiring soon .

Gruff - argh, don't say that. I'm still going to hope she doesn't get mobile until we move and have more space but she is a determined wee thing and she gets very frustrated if a toy is out of reach. We were at swimming last night and she just wriggles and kicks the whole time and tries to throw herself out of my arms to get to the floats and toys (giggling and smiling the whole time bless her). Hope you have a better day with GC today but not long till a fab easter break with your DH. I'm so , DP has 4 days off.

Well we are going back to see the house we like on Saturday to make sure its as nice as we remember - we saw 12 houses at the weekend so we were a bit by the end! If we still like it I think we will put an offer in just below the asking price as it means we can put down a 15% deposit to get a better mortgage but still have money for solicitots fees and stamp duty - fingers crossed! I hope we get it as I've already moved in in my head . I've started planning where things would go and what we need to buy .

gingerbreadlatte · 30/03/2010 07:51

Morning

Wow Rugby, thats great from sleep perspective but not about the huge boobs! I'd forgotten all about that weird feeling of full boobs Hope you are able to express some off ok.

The house you posted looks lovely and like its ready to move into without any work which is great news.

Ses- glad your DH is ok. Is he able to work?
Hope you manage to reschedule your evening away for some time soon. although I suspect a bandaged hand makes nappy changing rather tricky...

Gruff- thanks for the update- sounds like the hospital is nice even if the staff havent been that great.

Tink- thanks, hoping the parcel arrives from Boden before easter.

Nat- hello

Playing- glad I am not the only one with a late crawler . TBH I have getting a bit fed up with everyone asking if DD was moving yet and comparing her to others.

Not sure about your theory though- the SG definately couldnt be bothered before but now.... just in a day she has doubled her crawling speed and is into EVERYTHING. We've got so used to not worry what was left lying about....

Hi everyone else

Better go- the guy sitting next to me has a habit to looking at my screen several times and hour- its soo rude- but even so, I shouldnt be MNing

Rugbylovingmum · 30/03/2010 08:21

Urgh! Well C woke up at 7 and practically chewed through my T-shirt trying to get a feed - she drained both sides , gave a huge belch and promptly brought up what felt like about a pint of milk. Yuck! I was soaked, she was soaked, the sofa was soaked and she just gave a huge satisfied smile . What a little princess .

GBL - I hate people who look at your screen . We had someone in our office who used to do that and read our e-mails . SG sounds really cute with her crawling, now she is off there's no stopping her .

GruffaloSoldier · 30/03/2010 10:52

Morning all!

Spoke to my sis last night and another great day! They managed to get baby to latch on and they have also upped his food in the tube twice in the day too. My sister might be coming out today although that means she wont be as nearby baby. however she can be there whenever she wants as it is 24 hours for baby too so thats good.

My chart finally sorted itself out and looks like I Ov'd on CD15 - I am 6dpo now and having lots of cramps/wind/bloatedness which of course can be attributed to AF but you just never know I am doing a good job of holding off from testing at the mo. will be ordering some tests soon though.

Rugby - oops I forgot to say that the house looks lovely. good luck I hope you get it. sorry for sore boobs but hooray for sleep

GBL - LOL at nosy computer neighbours! You should maybe go on a naughty website and give him something to look at !! Haha (joke!!!) or one of those ones where they boo on you a scary face suddenly pops up - ha ha!Hope SG's boden coat arrives soon.

MMM - glad the job is going well!

Hello Tink, Ses, Diege, Cant, NJ, Moosy anyone else lurking!

Oh and GRRRRR I am having an early birthday party this week for GC as my mum is down from Scotland. I gave family 2 months notice so they could all be there. All my family are still coming apart from my sister for obvious reasons but the last few days my DH's parents, brother and gf have pulled out 3 days before the event. I want to strangle them. AIBU? I gave them 2 months notice. DH's parents are going away now and have no idea what BIL and GF excuse is. They just have no idea. Im also really sad for DH as that means he only has 1 DB and GF coming and then all my family and some close friends are coming too. ALSO they havent seen GC since xmas, they are seriously missing out on him and it makes me so sad. sorry RANT OVER

Moosy · 30/03/2010 11:12

Glad your sister and her baby are doing well Gruff, how long till they're both allowed home? It's nice that your mum's visiting too, I take it she's feeling ok if she's alright to travel, how is her treatment going?

GBL, SG sounds like she's enjoying her new found independance

MMM glad the job's going well, it must feel good getting paid

Ses, hope your dh is ok now (sorry I had to giggle at the boxers incident!)

Diege, hope J is better now. If you get a minute I'd like a bit if GF advice please. Fizzy does 9 or 10 hours at night but her bedtime is getting later and later, last night she didn't go to sleep until 11.30! I think perhaps I need to push her into a more sociable routine but could do with a bit of guidance from the Routine Queen!

tinkstoddleriswalking · 30/03/2010 12:26

OP posts:
gingerbreadlatte · 30/03/2010 12:42

Afternoon ladies

Gruff- and that your DH's family arent coming to GCs party. Seems a bit slack. Did they give a reason?

Glad your sister is doing so well now. She has a very good excuse for not attending!

Very excited about your 2WW! Any other symptoms to share? I got a really hot belly when DD was implanting- it was really weird...

Like the suggestion for Screen-man. Might try that... give him a shock

Hi Moosy- 9 or 10hrs is good going Hope Diege can help out.

Quiet here today...

Rugby- such a shame about C bringing all that food back up- always seems such a waste of milk! I used to view my BM as gold dust...

Rugbylovingmum · 30/03/2010 12:49

Oh no, now I feel guilty ! After DD threw up she wouldn't try any breakfast and started whinging and clinging and looked really sleepy. She has had a rash for a few days - just a bit bumpy/rough rather than red or itchy and she seemed well in herself but I had made a doctors appt for this morning just to get it checked. It is quite red today and has spread all over her tummy, back and legs and the GP said she has a viral infection, nothing serious and just to let her sleep it off. She has been really really whiney since then and just wants to cuddle which is very unusual - she is now asleep in my lap. I feel really bad for letting her cry last night if she was feeling crappy but she was perfectly happy at bath/bedtime and I just didn't realise she was ill . Luckily she didn't cry very much last night, she was more restless than upset .

gingerbreadlatte · 30/03/2010 13:27

Rugby- definately not a bad mum- sounded like you let her get the sleep she needed last night. Hope she is able to sleep it off and feel better soon.

Diege · 30/03/2010 14:29

hello! I am here though overwhelmed somewhat by easter hols, dd2's friend being over, the rain, and ds's continued diarreah (I must learn how to spell that!). Will be back on later but for now it literally is just a few grabbed seconds!!

essenceofSES · 30/03/2010 17:45

Hello!

Diege - not suprised you're overwhelmed! Sorry J is still unwell. Is he at least taking some water now? How did the diaoralyte go?

Rugby - Another vote of confidence in your "mum" skills here. Sounds like things just got a bit worse this morning but hope she's picking up now?

Gruff - YANBU! At all!! Such a shame that they won't be there but nothing you can do about it I'm sure GC will have a great time anyway!

Moos - 9 to 10hrs!!??? O had an awful night last night and woke at 10.30, 12.30 and 4.30. Not had a night like that for a couple of months!

Tink - soiunds like you're enjoying your busy day

GBL - yes, DH is able to work. I think he's trying not to make too much of a fuss as he know's how stupid he was. It was a bit of a drastic way to get out of doing nappies and bedtime though Still wondering what could have been and laughing all at the same time
As for the guy at the next desk.... Maybe I'll try and find some (un)suitable websites for you to bring on screen whenever he peers over!

Hello MMM, Nat, Cant, Star, anyone else I've forgotten

Don't know if you remember months ago I mentioned a friend of mine who had split up with his fiancee and got together with a new GF who then became pg in the first month they were together? (Don't expect you to remember about my friends as well as me ) Well she was due 11th May and had the baby yesterday!! Another early one!! A little girl at a weight of just over 3lb!
Really excited for them but hoping everything's ok.

Anyway, I know this guy through another friend.
Well this morning, my friend texts me to ask if I've heard the news so I phone her back and she's obviously pleased at the news but when I asked if she knew how the baby was or if the baby was in special care, she said she didn't know and presumed everything was ok and wasn't it great that the baby had come early as the pregnancy had been hard with lots of sickness and "at least she won't put on all that weight in the last few weeks"

tinkstoddleriswalking · 30/03/2010 18:36

gruff - test test test

i had a pulling snesation in tummy before i found out i was pregnant

rugby - bless her

ses

diege - hope u have relief soon
u need some urgent much needed retail theraphy

OP posts:
gingerbreadlatte · 31/03/2010 07:43

Morning All

Ses- I remember you mentioning your friend- congratulations to them- hope the baby is ok, that does seem early...

at wt gain comment- though- I've heard that said before about someone who had a premature baby.... its awful, that extra wt is there for a really good reason and had nothing to do with the amount of chocolate scoffed in my case

Diege- things sound hectic. Im warming you a seat on the wagon sofa for when you get a moment for a sit down and mug of tea

Hi tink

Hi everyone else....

The Small Giraffe has her last day in the Baby Room at the nursery today . Tomorrow she goes to the next room up... I feel disproportionately sad about it... I think I've become so at ease with the care in the baby room, get on well with the girls and SG seems to love all of them. I just dont have to worry about her at all....

At least the baby room girls are only next door so can pop in and see her if she is unsettled...

Nearly the long weekend!!! HURRAY

Playingatmotherhood · 31/03/2010 08:08

Morning All,

GBL - good luck with SG today. Hope its all ok today.

Ses - what a very odd thing to say. Maybe she was just trying to think of a positive thing to say about have a premature baby

Rugby - dont beat yourself up, I agree with the wagon. You let DD get some much needed sleep which was exactly what she needed if she has a viral infection.

Gruff - great news that your sister BF. I agree with your frustration over the party, that would drive me nuts. Oh and I won't badger you to test (I never test early myself) but will be keeping everything crossed for you.

Deige - Hi, hope you're enjoying "having" 5

Hi Nat, Moosy, MMM and everyone else who is around today.

Diege · 31/03/2010 09:07

Hello! Things looking up here, ds better (diorylte was tolerated)and poos now a mushy consistency, but def not that thing I can't spell...So I am taking 5 mins to have a well-deserved rest in the wagon recovery suite with the tea that GING has made for me
SES that's great news about your friend's baby; as you say, v.early but fingers crossed all will be well. Think as PLAYING says that the comment about weight was probably one of those automatic things that people say when they're trying to think of something meanigful to say (like 'was it planned'? ...
GING, I also felt like you when all of mine left the babyroom - seems like they've gone throguh a rite of passage that's both psoitve but also a little sad too. As you say, I'm sure the girls will pop in to see the SG!
TINKS, I have already partook of a spot of retail, and yes felt much better for it. Two mini boden tops and summer jeans for ds
MOOS, ask away about gf . 8-10 hrs is 'good', but I'm sure we can get you 11-12
I know I've missed loads so a big hello to everyone else.
Back later!

tinkstoddleriswalking · 31/03/2010 10:48

ginger - bless her moving up a group sure it will be fine they grow up so quick!!!

playing - hi there

gruff - any symptoms

diege - go girl with the boden gld things are getting better you end

i am favouring next this end for the girls have kept dd1s boden summer trousers my mum is keeping the boden tshirts, coat, dresses and cardy as they are massive on her

OP posts:
Moosy · 31/03/2010 12:11

Glad things are looking up for you Diege

If you could give me the plan for a 4 month old that'd be great. She's good at going to sleep during the day but I'm not sure the times are great and it would be interesting to think what SWMNBN thinks!

Diege · 31/03/2010 12:48

Hi TINKS, glad class was good. Agree, weather is the pits Blowing a gale outside here and very, very cold. Am taking ds to nursery for a few hrs this afternoon, then whizzing round supermarket with older dds. We have the cousins round tomorrow (7 kids!!!) so need to bulk buy hotdog rolls!

MOOS, the following is for baby at 3-4 mths, and I'll also see what the 4-6mth one says...

3-4 months:

7am: baby awake, feed.
9am: up for sleep, no longer than 45 mins
9.45/10: baby up
11am: feed
12 noon: settle for sleep
2.15/2.30: baby up
2.30: feed

After this, if she's slept well at both naps, then may get away with staying awake till bed (mine needed extra nap until about 8 mths).

4.15: water/well-diluted juice
4.30-5: nap if needed
6.15: feed
7pm: to bed
10.30pm: feed (may cut down on this now)
If baby follows this, they 'should' be sleeping till 6 or 7. I think (to give you hope) all of mine actually did, apart from dd1 who was a 5/5.30am riser whatever we did. So we just went to bed at 9pm and looked forward to The Hoobs at 5.30am

Re: 4-6mth routine, can't actually see any changes to the above, other than gf warning that if baby starts waking earlier for first feed (say at 4/5) then increase the 10.30pm one . Hope this helps

tinkstoddleriswalking · 31/03/2010 16:01

hi moosy - i used gf routines found great

hi diege - rain better blowing gales here 2
can't believe how much snow in northern ireland and scotland

dd1 enjoyed her school egg hunt after school

it wasnt explained very well!!!!

Playingatmotherhood · 31/03/2010 16:01

Hi All,

Just a quick selfish post.

Well it had to happen, a friend of mine has just announced her pg and posted scan pics on fb, due 18th October, 10 ten days before my bean would have been due if I hadn't mc. Gutted, have actually just cried for the first time since the mc. Happy for her but really feeling the loss right this second. I knew it would happen and was pretty sure it would be news like this that would set me off. Been fine around pg women but its just her announcing her news around the time I would have been announcing mine makes me want to post "its not fair my baby should be due then too" but I opted for "congratulations ..., love your womb name by the way" as a more pc comment.

Ah well, enough feeling sorry for myself, I'll get my turn again. As you were

tinkstoddleriswalking · 31/03/2010 16:04

just missed u playing
bless u that must have been hard!!! u must have buried feelings

OP posts:
Playingatmotherhood · 31/03/2010 16:08

Thanks Tink. Not really buried them just probably not really dealt with it all yet, was only 2 weeks ago after all. I'm not an emotionally person really, I tend to deal with an crisis by being the one who stays calm. So yes, I felt sad but I don't know just didn't break down. Knew that something would set me off at some point though, its just this thats triggered it.

Diege · 31/03/2010 16:51

Oh PLAYING that's tough I think I only really started to move away from those sorts of feelings after my mc when I got pregnant again, but I still think of my old due date with sadness and 'what ifs'. Think that's normal, and would maybe be odd if you didn't feel that way? Give yourself time; it's all happended so recently xxx

sorky · 31/03/2010 16:59

hello

I'm not sure I belong here anymore as I'm most definitely not going to try again, but Diege found me elsewhere on MN :D
Hope you're all well!

Moos did you get my text, it came out of the washer and I photo'd it for you to looky-see
