Hi everyone. Hurray for shifting the tumbleweed.

Ses- enjoy your trip.

Sorky- hello!

Bumps- v worthwhile cause. My DH happens to work for GSTT and is always at ECH, the hopsital sounds amazing.

Hi Tink

essenceofSES · 27/05/2010 16:18

Right I'm all packed but wondering what I've forgotten! The car is full enough though
Just waiting for my cousin who's due in about 5 mins and having a sneaky mini magnum!

Hello Sorky! Good to see you here

Moosy - how are things going with the barn?

Hello Giraffe, tink, Cant, MMM, Bumps and anyone else lurking!

Hope everyone has a great BH weekend. I'm meeting up with some of the May 09 mums at York National Railway Museum tomorrow!

cantmummyhaveabreak · 27/05/2010 16:21

Afternoon, jabs done and dusted! Wuhoo! She cried a little but is already happily crawling round! Surprising as the needles were longer than her legs thickness!

Hello sorky long time no see!

Diege · 27/05/2010 19:33

Hi! Just a quickie to thank everyone for their birthday wishes . Have had a lovely day, though ds ate so much cake he quite spectacularly vomited everywhere. Better get my takeaway now, dh just back...will read through properly later xx

bumpsnowjustplump · 27/05/2010 19:48

hope you have a lovely time Ses...

Diege so glad you had a nice day but sorry DS was so sick..

Giraffe thank you for sponsoring ds and dd, small world that your dh works there though. We are doing it as one of the babies at our music group would have died had it not been for the ECH..

Cant i have put off O's jabs so many times... Hopefuly getting them done next month now....

Hi to everyone else...

GiraffeYoga · 28/05/2010 08:09

Morning

We've got a sickly small giraffe Had temp of nearly 40 last night. Seems much better this morning but not 100%. Think its a virus.

Fortunately DH did the night stuff (hooooray for no longer bf'ing!!) so I could sleep as Im working at home and looking after her today

Hope everyone else is ok...

bumpsnowjustplump · 28/05/2010 08:14

Giraffe hope dd is better today. I hope it is not the start of the dreaded (shhhhhh) pox!!!!!! Both dd and ds had a high temp two days before the spots appeared... Having said that Jessica had a temp of 39 yesterday for no reason and was fine two hours later so hope it is just that....

GiraffeYoga · 28/05/2010 08:31

Hi Bumps.. I am kind of waiting for the spots to appear.... we are preparing ourselves for it... which prob means she wont get it!!

Kids are random with temp. Its funny how J could do 39 degrees then normal so quickly...

Hope she is ok today.

bumpsnowjustplump · 28/05/2010 09:23

Giraffe she is fine. I gave her one dose of calpol and that was it she was fine again... I hope it isn't the pox they are the pitts.....

tinkhasaspringinherstep · 28/05/2010 10:24

morning

diege - glad u had a great bday oh no @ cake!!

poor giraffe!!

Starshinetiger · 28/05/2010 11:13

Morning all, not been on in ages as just been having a hectic time, but hopefully things calming down a bit now for a little bit at least.
Can't - so sorry about your BIL. Really thinking of you and your DH.
Diege - glad you had a great birthday, sorry DS was ill though.
Ses - boo to conversations with DH 'cos of what he's thinking, but yay to having had them. Hopefully you'll get to some agreement and common thinking. How's the new job going, or hasn't it started yet?
Nat - glad to see you are back online.
Sorky - lovely to see you here.
Bumps - have been following your cp trials on FB and so very glad for you that you're all out and about again.
GY - those work conversations are hard aren't they? Is so difficult to know what to do.

Well, been so really busy here lately is ridiculous. Was away for 3 days and 2 nights abroad with work this week, but DH did a sterling job and the DC had a great time with him and still in nursery of course. Have been really stressed about the event we had this week and have also been pigging out on all the food I haven't eaten for over a year while feeding DD... , so very much hoping that that is the reason that AF is now a week late... am pretty sure it must be down to something like that, as can't actually remember having done the necessary since last AF until this week... DH picked up a test on his way home yesterday, but am sure that as soon as I do it, AF will turn up...

Waves to Tink, Gruff, Smithy, Kayz, MMM, Rugby, Playing and anyone else lurking.

Starshinetiger · 28/05/2010 11:14

Crossed posts (did go to Tesco in the middle of writing mine!). Sorry for DD being ill GY - hope it is not CP.

GiraffeYoga · 28/05/2010 11:55

HI Star
good to see you back.

Glad you week away went ok, although busy. Im very excited about you POAS... its what the Wagon is all about!!. When are you doing it?

Glad you are enjoying eating other foods again now. Must be a treat!

SG is ok, but still got fever and will sleep for 45mins, get up for an hour, then back down again. Is that normal?

Diege · 28/05/2010 13:18

Hello! Hopelessly behind now with all the messages, though did detect STAR;s imminent testing . Also I think GRUFF is testing this weekend?
Ds's sickness was entirely my fault ; 2 slices of adult sized cake slices within an hour,on top of a veg korma and bottle of milk isn't the greatest I know.... Still, he seemed very relieved after GIRAFFE that pattern of sleeping with a fever sound very normal - don't worry x
STAR, your work sounds very full-on,though exciting too! Very of nights away
SES, I told my dh about your dh's deviant behaviour and he was very disparaging . Glad you (sort of) got it sorted!
CANT, so sorry for news about your BIL . As others have said, it really puts the small stuff into perspective.
CANT/MMM, after lots of thinking it through I think we're going to stick to Southport after all. I'd told the dds about the change of plans before I read that it was actually close to station, and they have been going on the websites and checking out the fair there...think it will be a bit less overwhelming for the day too, so may 'build up' to Blackpool for the summer hols. CANT, on Manchester meet, are you bringing any dcs with you? Was thinking of bringing just ds, but if you're not,I won't either!

Starshinetiger · 28/05/2010 13:19

Hmm, couldn't be bothered with POAS first thing this morning and now (of course) don't need to pee at all... Am totally convinced I'm not, but since I can only recall being this late twice and I have a 3.8 yo and 14mo to show for those, figure I best rule it out! Is totally not in the plan to have another...

Poor SG, I think sleeping is good when they're ill and is great that she can just drop off again to recuperate. I think that as long as fever is controlled by medicine then you're okay, but obviously if fever continues for a few days without abating then you need to see GP. Hope the sleep helps her feel better.

Starshinetiger · 28/05/2010 13:28

Diege - don't be too envious of nights away. I wasn't in bed before midnight either night, as was organising the meeting, so was prepping everything for each evening both nights and then up at 6.10am each morning. However, was nice to get 6 hours solid sleep both nights, no fear of being woken by a child needing me and to just get up, dressed and breakfasted all by myself (tee hee - makes it sound like I need help normally!). Know what you mean though.

Diege · 28/05/2010 13:36

Hey STAR, being blunt here, is it possible that you could be pregnant in the sense that you had a gof with 'explosion' without a raincoat as we used to say??
I know exactly what you mean about the night/morning routine sans kids...I think it's the pure fact that as you drop off you know you won't get woken by wailing (well,at last not of the child variety!).
You MUST test tomorrow..I'm getting excited now

Starshinetiger · 28/05/2010 14:31

Hmm, Diege - well I genuinely can't be sure we've actually done the deed this month since last AF until this week (i.e. when past AF due), so while on a normal month, considering we haven't got our contraception sorted yet and just use raincoats or the very unreliable method, I would be concerned I could be pg, I don't think it's physically possible this month - my poor DH!!!

So, unless last month's AF was an aberration, but in that case, I'm sure I'd be feeling very sick by now...

Ah well, when these two pints of water go through me and I finally need to pee, I will test today and if no AF tomorrow, will test again tomorrow am.

Please don't wait with baited breath, am sure will be neg!

GiraffeYoga · 28/05/2010 15:13

Well, I am PMSL about explosion, no raincoat. Love that expression.

I will be lurking for results of POAS.

Star- re poor DH re lack of opportunity for TTC- similar boat here. I've NO idea how people fit it in. Im sooo tired by bed time. Im tempted to send DH an invitation via outlook!!!

COme on Diege- woman of many BFPs and full time work- how do you find the time!!??

GiraffeYoga · 28/05/2010 15:24

Meant to add. DD still has temp around 39 mark - been like that now or higher since Wed night. She also has cold and really blue feet. So I rang NHS direct for advice (with it being long w/e) and they said take her to the doc.

DH is going to take her while actually do some work.

GruffaloSoldier · 28/05/2010 15:33

Hello all

Just a quick post as am just off out with GC!I will be testing on Sunday as I ov'd late this month, I did POAS early but was BFN - of course I new that would be the case but had a cheapy test so no matter! Not feeling pg at all and quite headachey which I tend to get before AF so I am expecting AF before I have to test again. But still have that am i/arent I excitement going on!

Star - I hope you get the result you want - I will be lurkin!

Diege hope you had a great birthday I did post on FB

GY - hope SG is better soon.

right I really need to go now but backlater

cantmummyhaveabreak · 28/05/2010 15:46

Just a fast one as have DS's friend here, Diege- for Manchester was hoping DH could be off so I can just bring DD2 with me, there's a slim chance I'd have to bring all 3... But hopefully DH can sort it off or mu mum will have them for me, will defo have at least DD2 tho.

Diege · 28/05/2010 16:11

Right, will bring ds then CANT
GIRAFFE, re: ttc you just have to force yourself I'm afraid The motivation other than a bfp is entirely lacking 99% of the time for me. As you say, tiredness main culprit.
STAR, ah yes I see then, most likely just a late af, unless of course you ovulated very late this month and last week's gof did the job? (that happened with dd3 with me).
Right, had better go and respond to the many demands I'm getting from dds!

Diege · 28/05/2010 16:12

And GRUFF looking forward to you testing too
