Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Kayzr · 15/05/2010 09:45

Morning,

Gruff, hope you are feeling better this morning. Migraines are horrible. Hope your course goes well.

Cant, hope you had a better night last night. I hope you drank the wine!!

Going shopping with a friend today so I'm treatingyself to a mcdonalds. Yummy!!!
Then I'm off out tonight. I'm already dreading the hangover tomorrow morning!!!

Hope everyone is well.

cantmummyhaveabreak · 15/05/2010 14:42

Afternoon, had half a bottle of wine but then fell asleep within 5mins of getting to bed! oops!

Went out with MMM this morning for a spot of shopping, I only spent £5 but got a full outfit for DS in next! Bargainous!!!

My friends have got back to us and confirmed that they'd like me to help them have a baby! Wuhoo! I can't wait to do this for them!

Kayzr · 15/05/2010 14:50

Cant great news about your friends accepting your offer.

Can I just post a link to this thread I'm hoping she doesn't mind but I'm sure you'll want to know and send your love.

cantmummyhaveabreak · 15/05/2010 15:01

Thanks for the link kayz- have sent our love.

It is fab news about my friends isn't it! I'm so excited to get going! I just can't wait. Stupidly excited!

essenceofSES · 15/05/2010 15:39

Thanks Kay - have left a message for her

Cant - £5??! Bargain!
Great news about your friends. Are they still thinking they may need to wait a year or two?

Diege - hope you're enjoying your shopping trip. You'll have to try and find a link to dress if you get one!

Gruff - hope training going ok and you're feeling lots better

tink - hope you get better luck with the chair

DS is currently asleep in his cot. I left him to self settle as he seemed really tired. After half an hour of moaning he eventually went off to sleep! I'm hoping sleeping will get a bit better again (at least for a bit!) as I finally felt a new tooth pushing through this morning (number 9!) He's had such a sore bum now for a couple of weeks and has been regularly waking in the night. Hoping for a bit of respite now!

cantmummyhaveabreak · 15/05/2010 16:03

9 teeth ses? ruby has just cut her 3rd and currently processing no4!

Think we'll be starting pretty soon TBH. I want to wait till the DC's break up for summer just in case I'm super sick I don't have school runs or at least DS & DD1 will both be at school full time once they're back. So once they're ready after that I'm good to go. Back to 28 day cycles now too, normally OV around day 13-14 so I'm all sorted!

essenceofSES · 15/05/2010 16:31

Cant - that's great that they don't want to wait. I had something in my head telling me they needed to wait a year or so.
Yes, 9 teeth! What he lacks in hair, he makes up for with teeth!

cantmummyhaveabreak · 15/05/2010 16:46

I know. He'd left work to try working from home on his dream job but it's not got there yet. I'd spoken to them, then they decided maybe he should get some paid work and then they have a stable income to rely on when the baby arrives and means we can start asap! I felt guilty he's going back to work after wanting to follow his dream but they've assured me it was on the cards before I'd said anything. He's going to still do the other work but in evenings and weekends as and when he can. I'm just so happy to be able to give them a baby- they so deserve it! And they are amazing with our DC's. Just amazing! I can't wait to make them parents!

essenceofSES · 15/05/2010 16:49

Without meaning to sound too gushing, I think you're amazing for offering to help them in this way!

cantmummyhaveabreak · 15/05/2010 17:07

I get what you mean! It's strange trying to explain just how I can go thru all the pregnancy etc for someone else. And I know I've got a long way to go before I've done it, but I'm sure the positive's I'll have for the rest of my life knowing I'm giving a set of friends the one thing in their life they'll always love unconditionally is such an amazing feeling! It'll far outweigh a few extra stretch marks and a few weeks of sickness!

cantmummyhaveabreak · 15/05/2010 17:09

That's a random post- hoe it's readable!

essenceofSES · 15/05/2010 21:53

We're looking at buying DS a swing with his birthday money. Any thoughts on this

(Not that we're getting ahead of ourselves with 2 seats....)

Diege · 17/05/2010 11:52

Morning! (just). Had a very busy weekend, staying up much too late and now suffering. Got some great wedges (finally..took originals back this morning as they were too high and too small ) and 2 maxi dresses that I will have to 'get into' . Still,I have been determined to embrace the maxi dress trend for some years now so my time has come
CANT, that's great news about the surrogacy being brought forward. How exciting . Do you have a timescale as yet?
KAYZ sounds like you had a good weekend there Meant to say I do admire your strength of mind re: the dieting!
SES,swing looks great, and 2 swings very practical. Just thinking ahead on your behalf... would you be able to fit a regular swing where the baby one is? Just remember my lot at the park arguing over who gets the 'big seat' - strangely enough they want to go back in the baby ones now!
GIRAFFE, big Monday wave back. Enjoy work . I have stalled till now but must crack on. THis working from home business is really not for people like me
TINKS, sounds like dh will have a great day. It sounds like he'll need help with that choc too
Well cd 20 here and I feel distincly UNpregnant. No symptoms whatsoever to report, which is a bit gutting but sort of prepares me for af (which I never get symptoms for)so the disappointment isn't too crushing!
Hope everyone is ok - it's freezing here again!

GiraffeYoga · 17/05/2010 18:59

Didnt need to do much lurking today. where are you all?

Shopping sounds great Diege- have to say I thought of you shopping on saturday. Must be lovely to get time away sometimes.

Pleased that my concerns about being PG have been ended by arrival of AF.... but only after a very long wait AND dreams TWO NIGHTS RUNNING about getting a BFP. Seriously - do you think my subconscious is broody or what?!

Hi Tink. Enjoy your mum.

Off to get dinner sorted now

tinkhasaspringinherstep · 17/05/2010 21:15

dh has had a great birthday

had a bday tea mostly for the girls and then an indian takeaway for us

maxxymoosmummy · 18/05/2010 07:57

morning everyone, hpe your all well. sorry for a few days absence. just been busy, and not had time to post.
DS still hates the bath, tried everything. his dad tried him in their hot tub on sunday and he wouldnt have any of that either. really stuck for ideas now. he doesnt even like sitting in the bath when its empty ( think this is because he knows what it is )

cantmummyhaveabreak · 18/05/2010 08:24

Morning- today's been a long time coming! DS is at school and DD1 is at the zoo with nursery till school finishing time so I have from 8.45 till 3.15 with just DD2! Heaven!

Gonna try and nap this afternoon as have a migrane once again! Blaming the noise the older 2 have been making recently with fighting non-stop!

DD2 is getting even more vocal and is crawling all the time, pulling herself up more too- can't wait for her cons app in a couple of weeks! We'll show em!

Right best split up the fight and ship them both off for the day! Can't wait, might even fit in a daytime bath! Can you tell I'm counting the days till sept when they're both out all day?!?

Diege · 18/05/2010 10:18

Hello! Working from home today so should be able to pop in from time to time! V.quiet on here, we need a honk to rally the troops back! (not that they'll be one from this month I think).
CANT, it does sound like you suffer badly with migraines - have you got anything prescribed for them? I think the one I have is immigram or something like that? Might be worth a try if they're debilitating. Hope you get your nap!
MMM,I remember reading somewhere that if they really hate the bath then just to miss out the bathtime entirely (think it's Christopher Green's book). Not as skanky as it sounds, he says just give them an all-over wash with a flannel, getting them to maybe wash a toy themselves over the basin at the same time. He's of the 'why bother pursuing it if it's stressing you both out' school of thought, which does work with some things I find. Just a thought anyway!
TINKS,glad dh enjoyed the day - food sounds yummy!
Have Ocado shop being deliverted at 1pm,and an eyebrow shape/tint thsi afternoon.Must really push on with work so I don't feel too guilty!

GiraffeYoga · 18/05/2010 15:37

Tumble weed is drifting around in here

Hi Diege, Tink, MMM, Cant

Hope you enjoed the eyebrow shape Diege- very envious, I think I should do the same when WFH!

Im also WFH and super drowning. Im consistently on 160 to 200 emails a day. When I am supppose to do my real job!??

Cant- good point re Diege and migraines. Do you get the awful awful aura thing? When i get a proper migraine I am immobilised and usually blinded by the aura. I've been told that imigrane thing is really excellent for that. Fortunately its a rare thing now - found that the pill made mine 100x worse and more frequent.

Hope you are feeling better anyway.

Kayzr · 18/05/2010 16:53

Hello.

My lawnmower blew up earlier. Smoke started billowing out of it!!! Eeek!!!

Luckily my neighbour came and cut the grass for me. It was looking like a jungle so gonna buy him some beer as a thank you. Now I can sunbathe!!!

Hope you are all ok.

cantmummyhaveabreak · 18/05/2010 16:57

Afternoon. I spent most of my day in bed after having peace and quiet I thought I'd make the most of it. DD2 was happy in her cot playing and napping between lunch and some playtime with mummy.

Still have my headache, have never seen the GP about it. Normally they're bearable, but sometimes they're so bad I'm sick with pain. Should maybe consider going to the doc about it tho, my sis has them so bad she needs to take pills every day to prevent them, maybe I'm the same...

DD1 had a fun time at the zoo, she made the teachers laugh as she saw the orangutans and shouted that the big one was daddy, then went on to name the rest of them me, DS & DD2!
