hi ladies here is our new thread

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Diege · 27/04/2010 17:10

Hello! Just a quick one from me, as dashing out to get ds and dd3 frokm nursery...Very nearly tested (went so far as to wee in a cup, before realising I'd only weed 2 hrs previously and has litre of water on train - wee looked like water..) So tipped down the loo! Tbh I'm starting to think start of af would be preferable to seeing a neg and then obsessing, so may hold out a little longer still!
Congrats again PLAYING - so pleased for you. Now no more tests!!!
End of June would be best for me re: a meet up as I have a-level marking all July, but obviously will try and fit in with the majority. Feel a bit mean not bringing ds, but think a 3/4hr train trip may be a bit ambitious!
Will read up properly and be back later x

Diege · 27/04/2010 19:51

Bugger, period started, so that's me out for this month Strangely ok about it, esp as I'd been worrying about the c-section business, plus had only been taking folic acid for 2 weeks...Can't believe how convinced I was with my symptoms though, I must be going crazy . I'll never snigger at those saddos poor women on the ttc thread again
So, lots of choc, a takeaway and here's to next month

GruffaloSoldier · 27/04/2010 20:28

sorry to hear about that Diege, but great that you are continuing next month

I nearly bought a test in superdrug today as they had 4 day early ones for 3.99 (own brand) however I managed to resist the urge and am going to wait!

Have booked to have my hair cut on Saturday which is very exciting as I havent had it cut for 18months and the last time I went to a proper hairdresser was about 3 and a bit years ago! oops!

I spent over an hour looking for the house phone cordless today only to discover it completely inside the video player!!!That GC is a little pickle!

Hello to all!

tinkhasaspringinherstep · 27/04/2010 20:29

hi diege - thats a shame hopefully it wont be long for you

GiraffeYoga · 27/04/2010 20:31

Evening Ladies

Diege- sorry for period. I must say your symptoms were very strong. Its funny isnt it. Glad you are ok about it though.

Gruff- love the gift for your god daughter. Very nice

Tink- nice shopping

Playing- congrats on the strong BFP. Its really good news. What kind of due date are you looking at?

re meet up, we may be away end june but will soon be booking it so I can confirm. Lets see what dates others can do.

I am loving the idea of Diege coming as the experienced pair of hands- to be fair though, you have given me sooo much good advice over the last couple of years it would be good to introduce you to the results of the advice

Moosy, great to hear from you. How is F doing? Say hi to Sorky when you next talk to her

cantmummyhaveabreak · 27/04/2010 20:40

Evenng ladies, just popping on quick whilei have 2 mins... Afraid spring cleaning has taken priority the last week or so!

Gruff- ruby did stop breathing a few times when she was tiny, she didn't need an apnea alarm when we left tho. However now she breath-holds, was diagnosed last week with BHS- breath holding syndrome. She scarily did it and passed out on me on Monday and Tuesday last week, did it again yesterday. She only does it when something happens to make her cry now, ie when she'd have a tantrum if she was old enough. Been told it's common, more-so in prems, and is normally outgrown by 2yo. Hopefully it'll be the same for your nephew.

On a positive DD2 has finally decided she can roll over, though only does it in her cot for some reason. Then she's trying to pull herself up on her cot bars too. Now today she decided she can finally crawl too! What a clever little girl!

Right dying for the loo so will try and get back tomorrow!

GruffaloSoldier · 27/04/2010 20:49

Re June - I cannot do weekend of 19th/20th and cannot do 26th June (Sat) but could do the Sunday(27th) but am guessing that is when GY is away. How about 12th June?

GiraffeYoga · 27/04/2010 20:54

I cant do 12th, and probably not 26th or 27th.

Will confirm re possibly very early July????

GruffaloSoldier · 27/04/2010 20:56

Thanks Cant - he is still in hospital. The stopping breathing is occurring after feeding so they think it might be some form of reflux. He is still in hospital

Hi GY

Tink, are you gona come to the meet up?

Diege · 27/04/2010 21:02

Thanks everyone for the commiserations...I feeling cheered at having a 26 day cycle this month though, though obviously ovulated earlier than I'd thought (though ov tests didn't think so...)
Re: meet-up 12th June would be great..I'm assuming that's a Saturday?
Sorry again for not reading through - just wanted to say 'yay' for the 12th, (and thanks GIRAFFE for your faith in my experienced hands )

GruffaloSoldier · 27/04/2010 21:22

Diege - Its a strange coincidence that my last AF came on CD26 when usualy I am 28 days and occasionally have been 32days, never less though. I really think mine was a failed pg so maybe yours was? it would explain the symptoms. Anyway, heres to next month for you!

I must admit I am a bit nervous now. If I am not pg this time I am going to be quite disappointed!oh well.

GruffaloSoldier · 27/04/2010 21:46

I can do July I think but Diege its bad for you right? So how about August?? we will get there eventually!

Diege · 27/04/2010 22:20

Hi GRUFF! I could do the second to last week of July, and the last two weeks in August? Yes, we'll get there in the end

Moosy · 27/04/2010 22:38

Yay for Ruby, Can't! I hope you tell your HV, maybe she'll get off your case? ;) How's MMM these days? I think the last we heard was when she was taking M to hospital, I hope they're ok.

I had a dream last night that I was pg which has only ever happened when I have been (eek!) DH has had his snip but hasn't been checked that it's worked and we've been careless as my AF always takes months to come back after I stop BFing (which I still am doing), but it's suddenly made me a bit worried! Well hopefully I'm just having sympathy dreams for those of you who are/might be!

Diege, sorry you didn't get your bfp this month, fingers (but not legs ) crossed for next time.

F's doing very well now, she's even slept right through 9-9 for the last 4 nights which I'm relly hoping isn't a phase, but has also been very clingy today, which I'm hoping is a phase!

Gruff, DD1 once went blue when she stopped breathing which at the time was put down to her reflux but since then I've been told it could have been because she had a floppy larynx . DD2 used to hold her breath a lot too, she seemed to forget to breathe, she grew out of it when she was about 2-2.5. Hope your nephew is ok and out of hospital soon.

cantmummyhaveabreak · 28/04/2010 07:51

Morning... Have caught upon the last few posts- congrats playing on your BFP! Unlucky diege on AF, there's always next month!!

MMM is fine moosy, DS was ok, had an ear infection. She's away till next mon so won't be about till at least then.

DD2 is showing off her crawling already this morning! She's so pleased with herself!

essenceofSES · 28/04/2010 08:04

Morning!

Cant - that's great news about DD2 crawling about proudly Thanks for the update on MMM.

Diege - sorry for AF Hope you're doing ok.

Moosy - any more dreams?! Eeek!
Hope F works out that the sleeping is meant to be and the clingyness is a phase and not the other way around!

Gruff - hope DN can come home soon.
Cute tea set!

Meet up: Maybe add your name to whichever dates below you can do?

I've just put myself down for Sundays as I work Saturday mornings and it's difficult to get a Saturday off. If the meet up had to be a Saturday, I could always try and get the day off or just turn up mid to late afternoon!

Last night I had to work late. I wasn't home until 10pm due to a meeting so DH picked O up from nursery and did bedtime and cuddled him to sleep. It all seemed to work well and he only woke up once all night at about 2.30am. One small step, but it does give me a bit more freedom/flexibility!

Playingatmotherhood · 28/04/2010 09:23

Morning all,

Deige - sorry to hear its all over this month.

Can't - great news on the crawling

Gruff - Sorry to hear DN is still in hospital but it really is the best place for her to be until they work out whats causing the breathing problems. I'm sure it will work out well in the end. Oh and I haven't had a haircut since DS was born either!

Moosy - you sound like my friend. Whenever he has baby dreams someone gets pg!

Ses - Thats a really late day but at least you now know that if it happens again DH can cope with O and the bedtime routine.

I would say I am about 5 weeks, possibly a couple of days less than that. EDD 30/12 - 1/1. So looking like a Jan baby unless this one is a little early like DS then it could be a Christmas baby! Of course thats assuming everything is ok this time, still got the same 1 in 4 chance of it going wrong but i figure the odds are in my favour so I may as well be positive about it. On the plus side I am starting to feel slightly nauseous when I am hungry which I didn't get last time so that must be a good thing (if MS is ever a good thing).

Great to see a list in progress re: meet-up! I was a little tentative about a Sunday, just because of the engineering work that can interfere with the traisn sometimes on that day, but then thought if it's juts me on the train hardly the end of the world if it takes a little longer!
Wow another xmas baby PLAYING, how exciting
Sounds a very long day SES! Bet 'John and Tina' can't say much about those hours!
CANT, great news on dd2's crawling; they'll be no stopping her now!
MOOS great to hear from you, was just thinking about you the other day.

NatalieJane · 28/04/2010 13:48

Hello, just real quick catch up with what I can remember, have been lurking but not posted, so don't know what I've said or not IYKWIM?!

Playing, great going on the proper final BFP Very exciting!

Diege, sorry this isn't your month, hope you can stay positive and start planning for next month.

Glask, well done Ruby!

Gruff, sorry your DN is back in hospital (might have replied already to this?!!) hope they manage to work out what's going on and he can go home sooner rather than later, must be a nightmare for your sister, still thinking of you all (have just remembered I did reply before, brain's turned to mush!)

Ses, long old day yesterday, glad it was dealt with effectivly.

Am sure I've missed loads, Tink, I'll say good shopping because no doubt there's been some!!

Re. the meet up, I don't know if I'll be able to make it, but if you all work out deffo plans I'll see once we're on the other side of the move if we can work something out, think I'm the only one who's never been to a meet up?!

Had shitty few days, not directly to do with us, but on someone elses part, can't say too much really on here... but, today have been packing, and it's given me chance to mull over things... Still not sure what the answer is, so none the wiser!

Oh well, this time next week I can mull it over in our new house! Actually can't wait to get in there and get the basics unpacked, so I can get my course stuff out and get started on it, only going to have about a week to get the next two assignments done before it's due in, going to do my best to get it in without needing an extention so am chomping at the bit to get on it! And then I can get the rest of the house unpacked and probably rush to get the next two in in time, but after that should be a bit more plain sailing!

Oh and obviously my shopping list for the house has grown Keep thinking of really good things we can do/get/put there/put in there etc etc! But, have realised I am getting past it, got things on my list that other's would really turn their nose up at, so am not even telling you lot what it is. DH has taken to calling me 'fuddy duddy' Though, I know it will look lovely, obviously!

NatalieJane · 28/04/2010 13:49

In true style, "just a quick catch up" half an hour later... Don't know why I can't stop myself warbling on here, I don't waffle half as much RL!

NatalieJane · 28/04/2010 15:53

Argh, pressure's on now, just found out I need a Level 3 Diploma to get on the Foundation Degree course Maybe I am better off getting an extention if needs be rather than rushing it!

At least I'm off to a good start

Am even more glad about the grades now, if I'd have only got level 2, I'd be bricking it around about now!

tinkhasaspringinherstep · 28/04/2010 17:04

i am sure stuff you have chosen for house is nice nj

we have ordered curtains and cushions for loundge and buying blind

eyeing up ornaments for fireplace

all from next

NatalieJane · 28/04/2010 18:03

What have you ordered Tink, c'mon woman I need links!

The sort of stuff I have my eye on most would run a mile from, but, if I have remembered the house as well as I think I have (may well change my mind completely when I see it again!) then I know it will look spot on when it's all done, and because no one else would dream of it 'nowadays' it's all going so cheaply, shouldn't be too long before we've got it all!

Right, kids taking chunks out of each other so had best get on, have a good evening everyone x
