hi ladies here is our new thread

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Playingatmotherhood · 26/04/2010 10:40

that should be "does" sound good

Diege · 26/04/2010 11:03

Wow PLAYING will be a great xmas this year for you . I always think it must be nice to get xmas over with and then have a new baby to deal with! (sorry LG&T )

GruffaloSoldier · 26/04/2010 11:09

Morning all!

Lots of heavy crampy feelings here too!eek!also had real dizzy episode earlier - I was just sitting on the sofa and it felt like I was on a boat I promise I have not been drinking!am 7 dpo today.

Diege - agree yours sounds very promising!

Playing - sounds good re telling people. I never quite got the whole not telling people thing - however last time I told lots of friends and family by 8 weeks, (immediate family by 5 weeks)and it did seem to drag a bit at the beginning. Me and DH have discussed waiting til 12 weeks and I said "yes of course but I'll tell my best friend and my sisters...oh and then I should tell my mum, but then if Mum knows I should tell my Dad...oh and then we really should tell your parents if my parents know...aww and we can't leave your siblings out - yes all 4 of them and respective husband/girlfriends and children" ooops, the whole world knows before you know it! haha.

Rugby - Grrr at mortgage but at least you had a nice weekend

NJ - LOL at drunken post!

GY - Great about SG and feeding. GC is having cows milk in cup now and have stopped bottles completely. He has definitely cut down loads on milk since the change but I think he eats tons so Im not too worried. Just thought I'd say in case SG does same. I think its 350ml a day of dairy they need so this includes milk in cereal, cheese, yoghurt, sauces etc.

Tink - table looks good. GC had one from 7 months - played with it everyday for at least 3 months and still plays with it now from time to time.

Thanks for all your support with my DNeph. He is ok at the mo, in hospital just under obs and sister is with him. They are def going to be in for a few days yet!

Hope I haven't missed anyone, hello to any lurkers

GiraffeYoga · 26/04/2010 12:00

Wow, I am so excited about all the pregnancies and pre testing symptoms going on here. We are almost fully into Wagon round 2! (new thread name maybe???!)

Where is the list??

Thanks Gruff, I know you mentioned the milk volume before. Maybe we will try that. SG eats loads and loads and loads (I am not joking there!) so I dont think we need to worry nutritionally- but I do worry about her fluid intake. Suppose she will drink if thirsty.

Nat- v envious for no hangovers... Thats fab, I just have to think about having a 2nd glass of wine and im feeling heady these days. Maybe it will improve now I am not feeding

Tink- enjoy your Mum
Diege- enjoy WFH, i wish I could do Mondays
Playing 2 BBQs is impressive... Shame about being busted, suppose its inevitable though!

Better go as I was only supposed to be lurking!

Diege · 26/04/2010 12:00

Looking good GRUFF! Did you say you'd be testing at the weekend? Maybe we do need a list now so that we can keep on track with 'wagon business'?
Dh has just rang to say he'll be away this weekend (thurs to sat night) and then the following one (fri-sun). Not with work, but 'pleasure' . No I don't mind in the least, in fact I like the odd jolly myself, but am a bit that he's having 2 consecutive weekends...Am having a mega sulk

GruffaloSoldier · 26/04/2010 12:08

Diege - I think that is taking the p**s. You need compensation, no doubt about it

ok lets get the list going....

Gruff - testing Sat 1st May.

(brought it forward )

Diege · 26/04/2010 12:28

Thank-you GRUFF, I appreciate the sentiment .I think we need a meet-up soon, and I don't care where it is, I'll be there Right, onto the list!

Gruff - testing Sat 1st May.
Diege - testing Thursay 29th April.

GruffaloSoldier · 26/04/2010 13:58

ohhh yes was thinking just about the very thing the other day! def a meet up!maybe London or somewhere more central maybe??

would be fab

tinkhasaspringinherstep · 26/04/2010 14:30

oh a testing list exciting

Rugbylovingmum · 26/04/2010 14:58

RANT ALERT !!!

Bloody Santander have just called to say we only sent the front page of the child benefit letter (which has all the info on it) but they need all 4 pages. Why didn't they say that when we faxed it on Friday. Argh!!!!! Almost reached the stage of telling them to stick their mortgage - if it doesn't go through this time we will just start again with another company. Had enough !!!

GiraffeYoga · 26/04/2010 16:01

Hello
quick one- should be working.

Very exciting about the list!

about the Mortgage thing Rugby- its very frustrating... hopefully that will be the last detail they need!

London meet up sounds good- can it be a weekend? Gruff; you, the cub, the SG and I could get the train together!!?

Realise london is abit far for some people though

Back from the jabs. She was fine, barely cried at all. Just put her in for nap so I can work so better get on!

back laters

Diege · 26/04/2010 16:27

I'll come to a London one!!! Means I'll get to stay over and dh can't say a thing Weekend would be best for me too if poss'.
RUGBY, what a PITA about the mortgage From my experience, and others though, it's pretty much standard though I know that doesn't make it right. Hold on there - is it a case of faxing it through today then they'll make their decision?

GiraffeYoga · 26/04/2010 16:40

Yay for London meet up If it summer we could do a park somewhere so we the small people can run/crawl about

I've been itching to meet you northern lot

Diege · 26/04/2010 16:45

A summer London meet-up would be ace. I will leave the rugrats at home though, but I'll be an extra pair of (very experienced ) hands should anyone need me! I think I'll treat myself to the full hotel experience, staying over on the Fri night, if it's a saturday do! In fact, if we can set a date soon-ish I can look to get cheaper train tickets As you can tell, I'm very excited.

Rugbylovingmum · 26/04/2010 16:46

Hi Diege - I wish it was that simple! I've faxed it over to them, then it goes back in a queueing system to be looked at by an underwriter. Hopefully they will look at it tomorrow but it won't be the same person and our experience so far is that everytime it goes to someone new they find more bits of paperwork they want to see . I've calmed down a bit and I know this is just standard but they are taking so long I'm worried if they turn us down or the valuation isn't high enough we will be rushing to get approved by another lender. Oh well, just have to keep my fingers crossed for tomorrow again.

Diege · 26/04/2010 17:28

Oh no Rugby, what a pain . I thought faxing it over might be too simple and rational. I know what you mean about what happens when someone else looks at your 'file',as a similar thing happened to us. Got there in the end though. I'm sure you'll be fine - they want your custom at the end of the day!

Starshinetiger · 26/04/2010 22:15

Been pretty busy on here as usual. Yay for test list
Yay for London meet-up too - count me in. Will bring both mine with me, unless everyone decides not to bring DC.
Rugby - boo to mortgage provider, fingers crossed it starts going more smoothly now.
Feeling pretty hacked off and down here, but don't want to bring board down or depress myself further by relaying it all, so am just going to keep my spirits up by thinking of all those potential bfps out there - not mine, but for the rest of you. And yes, Diege, it does make me think, now you are all ttc a 2nd wave of wagon babies, but as DH says, if we hadn't had all the challenges we've had with our two, then maybe, but no, think we'll stick and be grateful for our gorgeous two DC.
GYo - glad your job got sorted. Did you say 20 emails an hour (maybe I misread and it was 20 a day?)?! I used to think my old role was bad with up to 50 (av) emails a day and am quite relieved to be in a project role where I more commonly average 20 a day. 20 an hour sounds horrendous, so I'm sure I must have misread . Glad bfing closure has worked well for you. And really is no problem to have suggested something that made a difference - glad my thinking is good for someone.
Right, suppose I ought to think about bed...
Back in work tomorrow morning, as DH is off in am (I was off with DD unwell today). Will see how she is tomorrow as to whether I need to come home at lunchtime

GruffaloSoldier · 26/04/2010 22:20

Hi Star,

Sorry to here you are having problems. Feel free to offload, that is what we are hear for. Hope things get better soon!

Yes I will probably bring GC, but will be handing him straight to the experienced Diege

Yes maybe Hyde Park?? June? July? when is good for people?

I am just ordering a present for my Godaughters christening in Sunday!so will be off and then to bed after ordering but will be on again tomorrow!

G'night!

essenceofSES · 26/04/2010 22:28

Just a quick post from my phone. I'm sitting in bed MNing unwinding before heading for sleep.

Star - good to hear from you but sorry you're feeling down and DD is ill. Do offload here if it will help.

London meet-up sounds good to me! Would be good to see everyone again and maybe some others! Playing, Tink - would you make it to London? Weekend would be best for me too.

MMM - how's things? Hope you and M are feeling better.

Rugby - how stressful and frustrating. Hope it gets sorted quickly for you.

Yay for testing list!!

DS has developed a v dry rash all over. I'm wondering if it's a reaction to the penicillin I'm taking. Penicillin should be ok whilst BFing but maybe he's particularly sensitive or has a penicillin allergy.

Giraffe - I may be coming to you for tips about weaning DS off BF soon. He still pulls quite violently at my top when we get home from nursery and is quite impatient for his feed. I still enjoy it but want to ttc sooner rather than later.

Right, bedtime! Sorry for not individually name checking everyone.

GiraffeYoga · 27/04/2010 07:26

Morning

Lovely morning here, so so sunny I almost needed 2 pairs of sunnies to drive in (amusing image I am sure!)

Star- please do feel free to tell us/ rant/offload here, thats what we are here for

You did read right, it was 20 emails an hour, not a day . Fortunately it seems comes in waves and some days are worse tha others- but im still averaging a good 200 emails a day and they all need reading.... Fortunately I like being busy so its ok.

Star- I am with you in finding Wagon phase 2 very tempting Even DH said the other night that it wouldnt matter if i got pregnant ie it wasnt worth taking full scale preventative measures I was very suprised, but confirmed that I want to wait a bit longer yet

Ses- hope the rash clears up soon. Stopping the feed was suprisingly easy but the SG does that top pulling thing, but tbh, she does that to anyone so it might not be me she is after.

Gruff- did you get a present ordered?

London meet up sounds good. Shall we start something on the FB page to agree dates?

GruffaloSoldier · 27/04/2010 09:22

Hello everyone!

Had a nice lie in this morning as DH is here! We are going into town this morning when we are all dressed.

I ordered this for my Goddaughter. Hope she will like it. Obviously not yet as she is only 6 months!

GY - it is a jolly good job that you like being busy!!yes sunshine is glorious. cant wait to get out and about oh and train all together would be good for meet up. I just hope GC behaves himself!

Right GC is shoving 'We're Going On A Bear Hunt' in my lap so I better go and read it to him!

Playingatmotherhood · 27/04/2010 09:46

Morning all,

Just a quick post before I head off out so not really caught up properly.

Def up for a meet up, can do London. Will keep an eye out on the fb page.

I did my last test today and got a nice strong BFP that came up in the pretty much the same time as the control line. So, I'm happy with that and will be leaving the testing well alone now.

Enjoy your day everyone

GruffaloSoldier · 27/04/2010 10:31

That's great Playing - hooray for strong BFP and hooray for being up for a meet up

Re meetup, I'd love to come if I can, obv it's quite a way for me but I will try. Sorky's mentioned she might be coming down my way some time in the summer so maybe it'll coincide with the timing, I'll find out what she's planning....
