Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Diege · 20/04/2010 09:31

Morning! Poor you MMM . Really hope you woke up today feeling better. Colds do drag on, but you seem top be suffering more than most. A wagon hot-toddy coming up for you x
Hi TINKS! Very of your sun. V.cold and windy here but I'm working from home so not too bad.
Hi to all - where has everyone gone!!!

Playingatmotherhood · 20/04/2010 09:35

Morning all,

MMM - hope you feel better soon

Tink - is there a day when you haven't ordered something?

Deige - good news about the test and symptom spotting. I'n not sure I can play that gave this month I have just about every symptom for anything and feel rather crappy, quite like a hangover, but surely it can't be as I only had 2 glasses of wine last night. Either I am sickening for something, my hormones have still not calmed down properly or I am pg; impossible I would say to know which one. Think I might do a test tomorrow.

Ses - glad someone vaguely understands my rambling!

Gruff- I was going to say something to you but I can't for the life of me remember what it was!

cantmummyhaveabreak · 20/04/2010 09:38

Morning- I'm about, but also trying to be a domestic goddess too, have just put a load in the washer, and just run the water to wash the pots so off to do them now.

Diege- it looks sunny and nice here but it was bloody freezing when i walked the DC;s to school. Got outside (no coat on) and thought once i'm in the sun i'll be fine- i came home with chillburn!! haha!!

maxxymoosmummy · 20/04/2010 10:32

morning
feeling a little better but not fully. been up all night. not good. having a day in today untill later then off to see my mum and dad for abit. a week today and ill be in scotland or maybe on the train still there not certain. it looks warm here but not been out as it also looks very windy.

Diege · 20/04/2010 11:24

Glad you're feeling a bit better MMM - are you off on hols to Scotland? Where about?
PLAYING, where abouts are you in your cycle? (I seem to remember you having quite irregular ones?)It must be tough getting to the whole 2ww business so soon after the mc - take your time with testing unless of course you are bursting to do so, then I won't stop you . I woke up 5ish this morning, which is a pregnancy sign for me, but it's all Too Early to count I'm sure - I'd only be 5 days post-conception so ridiculous...Maybe I'll ask the midwife I'm interviewing tomorrow
CANY, lol at chillburn . Same here, coat on and off, but very windy indeed now. Dh coming back at lunchtime and we're going out for lunch (he's after a promised gof..feel a bit as was so interested last week, it being ttc time, but now not quite so enthusiastic...

tinkhasaspringinherstep · 20/04/2010 11:32

Diege · 20/04/2010 11:43

OMG MMM, your ds's grandad is 40 tomorrow...you you realise how old that makes me feel? Scitland sounds really great - will be lovely with all the LOs, and I'm sure the weather will be kind to you.
TINKS, hey that's interesting about the hangover feelings (for Playing I mean!). I've had one parcel today - 2 skibz, one leopard print, the other star=print for ds - think they look really cute on, plus great for ds's constant dribbles.

maxxymoosmummy · 20/04/2010 12:16

ye but take into consideration i am only 19 DIEGE. lol
ye think it should be a great break to get away not have to worry about anything for a whole week woop

Diege · 20/04/2010 12:22

Hee hee, yes I suppose you're right MMM, just seems odd seeing the word 'gandad' next to age 40 when that will be me next month
Right, just seen dh arrive home...

maxxymoosmummy · 20/04/2010 13:54

grrr starting to feel the same as i did last night again not good. might have to take some more ibuprofen seems to hold it off for a few hours. DS is still fast asleep, wondering if hes feeling a little groggy too.

largeginandtonic · 20/04/2010 14:27

RIGHT you lot. Who is pregnant?

I AM. Come along now.

Playingatmotherhood · 20/04/2010 14:28

Well its CD37 for me today but as I don't really think I ov'd till CD25ish then its a bit early for testing but its getting closer. I'm def going to resist testing till at least tomorrow but if I can make it to the end of the week then thats even better.

I'm not feeling that hopeful and it would certainly be easier dating wise if I wasn't, plus if I am pg I would be in danger of having an xmas baby which I would prefer not to. Yes I do have symptoms but I am also rather hormonal and keep feeling irratated/a bit low for no reason which is not something I have ever experienced in pg, so I'm kinda thinking I have slightly exaggerated PMT due to my hormones still being all over the place. And yes I am sure I have a hangover which is causing some "symptoms"but then maybe after Tinks revelation I should count hangover as a pg symptom .

Deige - am loving the symptom spotting 5dpo is never too early to indulge in a little light hearted fun, its when it all gets to serious that it all goes wrong and you get frantic "am I pg" posts in conception. The ones that all go something like "I've got all these symptoms, AF is due in 2 days but got a BFN could I be pg" makes me want to post, "maybe or maybe not, how should we know, just chill, wait a few days and test again and stop testing early!"

MMM - sorry you are not feeling as well again. It is weird to think your Dad is 40, I consider myself to have a young Dad and he is 51!

Tink - I was only winding you up! I am sure you are no worse than anyone here.

Playingatmotherhood · 20/04/2010 14:31

Hi LG&T, x posts there.

Your pg? Did I know this or have I forgotten? Well I'll say congratulations anyhow and apologises if I've already said it

I'm not pg anymore (so far as I know). I was but had a mc 5 wks ago when I was 8wks pg. Just waiting for my first AF to arrive (or not ) then can get started properly or maybe if I am very lucky then it won't come at all and I won't actually have to start ttcing. We shall see.

largeginandtonic · 20/04/2010 14:37

You didn't know Playing. I only found out a week ago

Poor you my lovely. Hope you are prg already and will have no need to ttc. Heaps of luck!

Playingatmotherhood · 20/04/2010 14:40

Oh well thats good, wasn't sure by the way you posted if you had already told everyone and i'd just missed it. Fab news, what will this one be dc8?

Oh, and I am ok, a little sad as 3 of my good friends are now pg and it would have be nice to be all due together but thats the way it goes. I had a very easy mc as it goes, no need for a d&c, not too much pain etc and before I know it I'm sure I'll be pg again.

Diege · 20/04/2010 15:11

Wow LG&T that's brilliant news . You should have come on here and honked!!! So...did you suspect?? How many tests did you do?? When's your due date??? You should know that you can't just announce it without the full goss'
PLAYING, totally agree with the difference between early and late symptom spotting...it is indeed fun in the early days, before it turns more to denual about pre-menstrual symptoms and fear about loo visits!!
Just got back from a lovely lunch out, and am currently half way through a 5 pack of those bagged choc chip cookies the supermarkets do . Could that be a symptom?

maxxymoosmummy · 20/04/2010 15:14

PLAYING its DSs dads dad. sorry i missed that off. still feeling awful and from 11.10 am M is still fast asleep. totally skipped dinner

GruffaloSoldier · 20/04/2010 15:34

HELLO!

CONGRATS TO GT

Smithy (formerly 2BG) is also pg. but not been back here since announcement.

I am currently on CD16 so 2ww here have been a bit crampy but might have been OV.

fingers crossed for everyone.

GC has earned to climb onn the sofa. he then jumps up and down and then jumps off so my peaceful days are over. he is currently caged in his playpen and screeching at me...it is only a matter of time before he can get out of that, he is almost out of the bath too. oh. dear.

I could deal with him running about and climbing on small things. but climbing on big things is far too scary!!!

essenceofSES · 20/04/2010 15:36

LG&T - CONGRATS!!!!!
Great news! Come back and update us fully

Diege - I love your "not really symptom spotting" symptom spotting
All sounds positive to me!

Playing - fingers crossed you're already pg!

MMM - can I join you in the sick bay? I'm just back from GP and have a 10 day course of penicillin for a throat infection. DS also seems to be quite snotty so I hope he's not going down with something too!

Apparently at nursery, he goes round collecting up all the dropped/lost dummies and takes them to a corner of the room to play with. I'm sure that won't help with germ control I resorted to trying him with a dummy on 3 separate occassions and he always refused to take one so I'm a bit that he now seems to like them. Don't think he actually sucks on one though - just plays with them!

GruffaloSoldier · 20/04/2010 15:37

sorry *learned

GruffaloSoldier · 20/04/2010 15:40

x posts ses! lol at DS!

have unleashed GC, better go as he is pulling all MY books off the shelf!

essenceofSES · 20/04/2010 15:45

Hello Gruff! What are our boys like eh?!

Diege · 20/04/2010 16:15

Hi GRUFF! Gc sounds fun with his climbing as does SES's dummy monitor . We will have to keep a check of our symptoms this week while it's still fun to do so!
SES, sorry you've had to join MMM in the sick bay...hopefully
the penicillin will sort you out. How is your dh btw after his accident?
LG&T, you can;t just leave us hanging...we need 'context'!!!!!
Oh and have just had a sneaky purchase on the Kicker's website (CANT's fault)feeling a bit guilty but they were for dd3 and a bargain too.

largeginandtonic · 20/04/2010 19:10

Sorry to post and dash girls. A neighbour popped over, then school run, then dinner, then Beavers, then bathtime...y'know.

Am due Dec 16th. Mostly i am late so it will probably be a Xmas day baby! Poor thing.

I was not ttc. Was utterly shocked. Felt the ship sway when i was on board seeing dh while he was duty the other week. He didn't even notice It was a ferry going by.

So went to Tesco on the way home. Weed on stick. Nothing. Ignored it, carried on with tea. Looked again as i went to chuck it and could see a barely there line. Lots of holding it up to the light and squinting. Checked the box though and it said to disregard any result after 10 minutes. It had been about 30.

Tested again the next morning. Very faint line appeared straight away. Was still dubious.

Tested again the next day with a Predictor (from Morrisons) and nowt. Nothing in the morning.

Went to stay with a friend in Norflok (SOH on MN) and she had those ebay cheapies that measure 10mi HCG. Did it as soon as i arrived. A LINE!

So there we are. Feel wretched already. Will be 6 weeks on Thursday. It had better be 1...

That was epic. Sorry.
