Hi Dec mums - anyone jumped to the end like me and started thinking of possible baby names?

no idea for a girl but possibly William (Will) for abot

wow we have a long long way to go yet

comtessa · 07/04/2010 17:42

December 2nd! First baby!DH was in shock as it's happened rather quickly. Hoping everything goes smoothly.

I am feeling so sick. I struggled on at work yesterday, then today I realised that if I was feeling this sick when I wasn't pregnant, there's no way I'd be in work. So, I guess I can't do this too often, but I feel so much better for having a rest day today.

PJen, it's not just you - I feel like I have a small bump already, although it might just be all the healthy snacks I'm putting away every few hours...

If anyone else has ideas on how to manage a stressful workload I'd be grateful to hear them! I usually work at least two or three ten hour days a week but just this past week I'm out of the office by 5pm. Sadly this isn't sustainable for my workload as I work in law.

Lovely to read all your postings! Happy early PG and hope you're not too sick! xx

comtessa · 07/04/2010 17:55

PS Anyone know when I should tell my colleagues? I've told my boss, who was wonderful. I wouldn't have said so early but it's just that I'm so tired and feeling ill all the time. I know I'm not up to standard with my work at the moment and maybe I should let the office know (it's a small friendly office I work in) so they'll know why I'm working from home so often and not being my usual smiley self.

Thoughts? xx

comtessa, I am happy to hear I am not the only one with a tiny bump! Which country are you in? I am in UK (London) and we don't need to tell our offices here till the week 12th. I guess it is your choice if the office people are friendly then it is up to you. I am not going to tell anyone as late as I can, since I work on high profile projects and don't want to lose them as everyone starts thinking that I will be out of office for a year! So really it depends on you and your work when you tell them.

PJen · 08/04/2010 13:46

Hi Spanishlady! I have jumped to the end and am searching for names too!!! It is soooo difficult! I am dying for boy names! They all sound so usual and nothing special! Good choice on William but unfortunately I can't use it. we have a uncle in the family called Bill and I really don't feel like calling my poor baby after him...

To all mums:
Any boy names that is not weird but not too usual?

Please help!

TheBronzeHorseman · 08/04/2010 13:54

Ladies, may I join you?

AF not due till tomorrow but had been feeling strange for a couple of days so did a test and lo and behold, a line! (Then did two more tests just to make sure the first one hadn't been a figment of my imagination.)

Had been trying for about 6 months and starting to despair it would never happen (I have a 2.8 yr old DS whom it took us ages to conceive) so am completely over the moon.

I seem to have loads of symptoms already, much earlier than I did last time round, so am hoping it's just that I'm recognising them more easily this time and not that there's more than one in there . Not sure I could cope with that!

Adding myself to your list:

Likethemapples - age 35 baby no1 - edd 3rd December
Firsttimer2010 - age 30 baby no1 - edd 6th December
OnlyWantsOne - age 22 - baby no2 - edd 6th December
HaventToldDHYet - age a bit older than you lot - no2 - EDD 6th December
PJen - age 36 - baby no1 - edd 6th December
RaceyLacey - age 30 - baby no3 - edd 8th December
Moomaa - age 31 - baby no3 -edd 8th December
trytobebrave - baby no2 - edd 11th December
Mumnerves - age 33 baby - no. 1 - edd 8th December
TheBronzeHorseman - age 37 - baby no. 2 - edd 17th December

RaceyLacey · 08/04/2010 17:34

HI everyone, have had a busy, but really good day here.

Congratulations TBH. You're due on my birthday! I was late with both of mine so there's a big chance I may even be having the baby on my birthday! (Or my brothers, dp's niece's or my dads!)

PJen - list of UK baby names '08. We picked our girls name & boys middle name before we even started ttc! I think we have a boys name sorted, but we'll see.

Anyway, dinner's nearly ready so best go see to that before it burns .

Firsttimer2010 · 08/04/2010 17:48

Feel really tired today, breasts have been sore for about the last fortnight. Also felt a bit queezy this morning, hope it is not the start of ms coming on

likethemapples · 08/04/2010 18:51

Any one else feeling unusually cold? I am also starving, and can't stop yawning.

trytobebrave · 08/04/2010 19:46

likethemapples, I was really cold for a few days last week, around the time when I got my bfp.

I had a call today from my GP's surgery too say that the hospital I wanted to go to have refused my referral because I'm not close enough. I've got to choose one of the two closer hospitals now, one of which was 17th from bottom in review of maternity services they did a couple of years ago. Got to go back to the GP on Monday to sort it out.

trytobebrave · 08/04/2010 19:46

Ooops, to not too

moomaa · 08/04/2010 21:23

My boobs have gone up a size and I'm needing to wee in the night already If it's the same as the last couple of times I think that problem went away in the middle of the pregnancy and came back again at the end.

Can someone shout when they start getting morning sickness? I didn't suffer too much with DS1 but did with DD (I kept throwing up on the train on the way to work and worrying I'd miss my stop, very grim) and if I don't get much this time I will suspect another boy.

I find boys name's very hard. Last two times we found out the sex and so picked names before the baby was born, and second time I regretted that as it didn't especially suit her so I'm not finding out sex this time, much to DH's disgust!

moomaa · 08/04/2010 21:25

Ohh, and I told someone else in rl, my pilates teacher, who said I can carry on doing the class for as long as I want, which is good because I have a sciatica problem that got caused by having DS1 (that's the theory anyway) and I don't want it to flare up again. The pilates keeps it nicely under control.

OnlyWantsOne · 08/04/2010 21:36

Hey all just checking in quickly - feel uber tired and sick urgghhhh boobs ache like mad and have gone up a cup size (well, I fill a B cup, which sadly, I didn't before)
