Aw I'm still at the bottom, surely someone must be after me, I'm due 20th which means 11 whole days left of pg women!

Off on hols tomorrow so don't post too much while I'm gone as I won't keep up with limited wifi/phone being so busy!

Good Luck to all the scans this coming week & hope Dr Who and Ashes fans (Hermya) enjoy this weekend. We are hoping to get Ashes in the hotel tomorrow night & Iplayer Dr who when we get home

SeaShellsOnTheSeaShore · 01/04/2010 20:22

Oooo have a fab holiday nymphadora! V envious of the shopping

Thanks lilmiss- Chinese takeaway has sorted my gloom out! That's the great thing about pregnancy, your moods don't last for long !

AbFabT · 01/04/2010 20:53

BoN VoYage, Nymph! (See what I did there! )

SeaShells, hang in there. You are far from worthless. Chill for the weekend, there's not a lot you can do about things over the Easter weekend, and start anew next week.

tiredfeet · 01/04/2010 20:55

pleased to see there have been more good scan results congratulations!

seashells I'm sorry you didn't get the job. I know how hard it is persuading people to employ you for a job that you know you want when you're on a career break. Its such a tough job market though, its no reflection on you at all. glad chinese takeaway sorted you out

I finally made it back to work today after 5 weeks away I was so happy to be back I was beaming from ear to ear. I only work 10 hours a week so hopefully now I'm over the worst I should be able to make it in (keeping my fingers crossed). It was just so nice to be back in the real world again. They were so nice and understanding about it, it made me really glad I gave up my lawyer job with the evil boss (even though I really miss the work I was doing).

nymphadora - hope you have a great time in New York!

and happy easter everyone, hope you all have a good time and eat an excessive amount of chocolate

Hermya321 · 01/04/2010 21:55

Seashells Oh I'm sorry you didn't get the job, it is tough out there at the moment DH is struggling to find work at the moment.

Nymph I'm working evenings Sat/Sun so I won't catch Doc Who until next Friday, but I will be able to catch Ashes to Ashes on Friday night (all being well that I get away on time). I'm due on the 24th Oct, so it may be me and thee and the last of the mini eggs at the end. Which hospital are you going to be at if I can be so nosy? I'm taking it due to your elcs that you'll be down the road and not local? Also I hope you have a BRILLIANT time in New York, say hello to the make up counters for me (I'm very very jealous )

Xav and Lil Well done on the scans!!!

floozietoozie · 01/04/2010 22:57

Ooh Nymph have a fabby time. I gave just realised it will be 20 years this summer since I went to NY. Now I feel old.

Seashells, bad luck with the job. Fingers crossed something turns up for you.

Kitchen units (and dishwasher, yeeee haaaaa) were delivered today, fitting starting next week. House is an absolute hovel because I feel too crappy to do anything mostly. Am decamping to my
mums tomorrow probably till after Easter [head in the sand emoticon]. Back to work then -boo.

Yay for good scans .

Hermya321 · 02/04/2010 09:38

Nymph Ah right B hospital seems to have a good rep, I really haven't heard any nice things about L. Have a great time shopping!! Let us know if you see any celebs!!

Nymphadora · 02/04/2010 10:02

Last time I kept missing them. Dh would say 'isnt that....' and they'd be gone.

Hermya321 · 02/04/2010 10:16

Oh dear, I'm sure you'll be able to spot them this time round . It's gonna be a bit of a trek to B for you guys, but I suppose you won't be in the back seat in the throes of labour (at least I hope you won't).

Norfolkbumpkin · 02/04/2010 15:58

Hello ladies,

It's been a month now since I posted on here, the last time being to sign off for a while as dh was rushed into hospital with pneumonia. He was in intensive care then on a ward for 11 days in total, very stressful times. He is making good recovery now, so that's a good thing. Unfortunately for me I started bleeding 2 days ago, so had a scan at the EPAU. The scan confirmed that our baby had died at 7 weeks, the exact time that that dh got ill. I remember having bad cramps at the time, but just concentrated on dh who was touch and go. All the pregnancy signs were still there, and I should be 11+5 today. I have decided to let nature take it's course rather than the other options available. So here's me signing off the October train, I wish you all the very best for the future months and go easy on the mini eggs!

ILoveGregoryHouse · 02/04/2010 16:09

Oh norfolk, how awful for both of you. So sorry. I hope DH's and your recoveries go well.

Norfolkbumpkin · 02/04/2010 16:15

Thanks Gregory, we are not the healthiest household at present! from Dh's health point of view he only had one chance, whereas although I am 38 and feel a bit knackered I'd like to think that I have got other chances to conceive and they will be successful.

Hermya321 · 02/04/2010 16:51

Norfolk Oh I am sorry to hear your news. I really hope you and your DH recover quickly and that we get to see you round these parts sooner rather than later.

Tyson86 · 02/04/2010 18:41

Norfolk Im very sorry for your loss thinking of you

Hermya321 · 02/04/2010 18:48

Quick question, what does a baby kick feel like? A couple of nights ago I felt sort of like a fizzing sensation in my tummy, I didn't think anything of it at the time though. But today I've had what feels like a scrape (not painful) on the inside of my tummy, what feels like a sort of poke and what can only be described as a wriggley fluttery sort of quivering sensation sort of in low down in my pelvis.

I'm probably going mad, but I thought I would share the madness.

AbFabT · 02/04/2010 19:48

Oh Norfolk, I am so very sorry for your loss. Hope you and your man recover soon, and we see you back here in good time.

Best wishes,
Abi x

Nymphadora · 02/04/2010 19:48

Norfolk I'm so sorry , hope to see you onanother ante natal thread soon.

hermya I'm nearer b than you are! Re baby 'kicks' at this stage they are like wind a bit fluttery if that makes sense? I have had a couple but I also have a lot of wind so could be mixing the two. IIRC you are slim? You are supposed to feel them earlier if you have less fat( can't say I do)

oh btw not in NYC yet at a hotel near Heathrow!

MummyWilliams · 02/04/2010 19:49

Hi! All

Norfolk i am so sorry to hear of your sad news. Very best wishes for the future.

Hermya not sure about the scraping, but everything else sounds like movement .

Now me - more good news I received my nuchal blood results yesterday and the result is good, 1 in 6825, which considering my age I am so extremely pleased about.

I'm 13+5 today, still feeling quite tired, can't seem to stay awake much past 10pm. Still getting the nausea and really bad bleeding gums. Still off some foods. Looking forward to blooming !!!

SeaShellsOnTheSeaShore · 02/04/2010 20:23

Norfolk I'm so sorry to hear of your loss, you both have really been through it the last few weeks. Thank goodness your dh is better and I really hope we see you on these boards again soon I have my fingers crossed for you. The ladies on the MC boards are lovely should you want to chat xx

Hermya I know what you mean about scraping but not - like if you gently turn your fist in the cup of your other hand iykwim? sounds like it could be early movement - little one is so small its not definate kicks etc yet, so harder to ddx from wind!!

Mummywilliama I agree - I want to BLOOOOOOOM!!! This not quite right and looking shit stuff sucks

tiredfeet · 02/04/2010 22:12

Norfolk I am really sorry to hear of your loss, what a tough month for you. I am glad your husband is recovering and really wish you all the best for the future

Hermya321 · 02/04/2010 22:22

Ah Nymph I thought you were somewhere else, makes sense now. Yeah I'm quite slim and I've not really been that windy either (tmi). But I dunno. Ah but you're closer to NYC than a lot us .

Yeah seashells it's like that!!

Mummywilliams I would like to bloom as well rather than looking like a page ripped out of a dot to dot book.
