Vikks thats lovely news! My SIL has a dd 6 weeks older than ds and they are sooooo cute together - it will be alot of fun!

for all you lazy bums today - I have just got back from a gorgeous dog walk along the cliffs and a pub roast - you're missing a gorgeous day!!!

SamanthaB123 · 28/03/2010 15:47

Is anyone else still feeling awfully sick? I'm 10 + 4 today (ie in week 11) and although I would say weeks 8, 9 and 10 were the worst I still feel sick an awful lot of the time. I'm everso tired all the time too. I am so delighted to hear about all of the scans that seem to be going well - are you all feeling well and blooming too? Please tell me that there is some hope...

floozietoozie · 28/03/2010 16:01

Hi all, spent last night catching up on the past eight days or so after a week away.

First Louey if you are still reading, I was so sorry to hear your news. I had a wee cry for you. Really hope you are coping as well as possible and your DH continues to be supportive. Big hugs and all the best of you go for it again.

Vikksthat's great about your sister. How lovely they'll be so close.

Sam was it you asking about feeling sick(I'm on phone so can't scroll to check). I'm about the last on the list so I'm just 9+2 and still well nauseous all the time. Our break away last week was lovely but I did spend most of it feeling I was about to hurl!

Just been for Sunday lunch and now at seaside waiting for my mum to arrive with ice cream while ds snoozes in the back seat.

Nymphadora · 28/03/2010 17:30

We have had a busy day in the garden today. Dh, my mam & dad digging out the area for the patio & I weeded. Lovely & sunny out.

Am exhausted now and have had a bath & am in bed.

Have a full week of work this week and haven't done that for a while so going to be a bit of a shock but count down to hols now 5 days to go WooHoo!

Oh and we told my Mam and Dad today but they aren't allowed to tell anyone until I have had my scan!

Hermya321 · 28/03/2010 19:57

Sam Yeah I'm still feeling sick, I'm three days behind you. But I've been talking to people at work and they've all said it does seem to ease.

Floozie I want to be at the seaside eating ice cream!!

I had the worse day at work, I was dealing with one of my bosses and I could have swung for her as she was being so difficult. I had a good old whinge with some of my colleages about her and then felt a lot better. Seriously though, she made me want to swear (and I did tbh). I never swear and it made me feel a bit angry that I let her get me that worked up. Silly woman!!!

BUnderTheBonnet · 28/03/2010 20:16

Hi everyone - not posted for ages!

Great to hear about all the successful scans.
Mine is on Monday 12th, the day after I get back from skiing.

I've spent the weekend shopping for ski stuff and sleeping. Seriously, I've had two "naps" today totalling 6 hours . I think I'll be going to bed early too. Thank goodness there's only 4 work days left before the school holidays. I suspect that not much skiing will actually happen.....

KSal · 29/03/2010 08:34

just popping by quickly....

AbFabT i have heard that it is reasonably common to get an itchy bump - more towards the end - due to the stretching skin. I haven't heard about itchy boobs, but it does make sense.

did some gardening yesterday while DD was asleep - i was only at it for about 1.5 hours but my hipps and thighs are killing me this morning. Felt very good about it at the time, though.

shieldbug · 29/03/2010 10:52

Good luck to all those with scans in the next few days. I know MummyLovesSadie and VMumtoBe have theirs soon- is anybody else getting their scan this week?

Hermya and KSal- the 7th seems miles away yet doesn't it. I can't wait.

ILoveGregoryHouse · 29/03/2010 10:58

BUTB, my scan is on 12th April too. Having the triple test at the sametime.

AbFab, with DS1, my boobs came out in hives! Think it was the new maternity bra and my skin being soooo sensitive. Was about 10/12 weeks at the time I seem to remember and took a few weeks to go completely.

Having some nice dilly daydream time at the moment - looking on rightmove at properties as when we come back to the UK from Bahrain, we could move from where we are right now - no roots any more you see as boys never been to school there. DH family up in Dunstable and got a good friend in Tunbridge Wells. So, StAlbans/Harpenden or TW. What do you reckon?

Oh, and a funny for you all. Just taken DS3 (20m) out to the local caff for lunch - he had omelette. He was mucking about and had a mouthful, I asked him to spit it out but right at that moment, he sneezed - and out it all came all over my mum. Was CRYING with laughter.

Off for another nap. ttfn.

AbFabT · 29/03/2010 11:21

Thanks for the info on the itchy breasts. Nice to know I am not abnormal!

LOL at the sneezing DS3 omelette. Bleh!

When do you get back to the UK, ILGH? I don't know those areas at all, did go to St.Albans once, but that was about 15 years ago. Happy house-hunting. I love looking online at houses, dreaming of moving to some old rambling country cottage, with a stream at the end of the garden.

DillyDora · 29/03/2010 11:55

Morning all,

Just a thought about the itching - since I read about it hear I have had itchy knees and thighs...umm...are these going to grow?! picture the scene....!

Thought that might make you chuckle.
xx

lilmissmummy · 29/03/2010 12:22

lol at dilly

Hi all sorry it has been so long, moved house and then had no internet until this morning!

Still being sick and still hoping it is not twins as I am huge! Lots of bump and lots of bloating.

TW is lovely AbFab preferably outside of the main town round one of the little villages. DH works in TW luckily he doesnt go into the office very often though as we live about 190 miles away.

I havent been suffering much from the itchy boobs but I have terrible leg and arm ache and dizziness. Think I might make a doctors appointment as finding it a struggle to go upstairs.

Good luck with everyone's scans this week... mine is next week so starting to stress a little as in October I lost a baby weeks (found out at the scan when I was 13 weeks) and the baby was due 8th April well my scan is the 6th April and I will be 13 weeks so very worried!

Was really sad to read loueys news. Sending loads of tea and sympathy!

Hope you are all starting to feel a bit better!

tinywelsh · 29/03/2010 13:09

Hello! Yep Sam still being very ill here.

Feeling like the most miserable cow in the world at the mo. Burst into tears in the loos at work coz all my department (ok 2 people) had overtime this weekend and I'd mentioned that I could do with some!

Also on panic overload as I have scan on Wed pm (50.5 hours and counting) and every possible worst case senario keeps going through my head. Seriously big congrats to everyone who's had a good scan, best of luck to everyone who's got one coming up- hope you're doing better than me!

dontstopmenow · 29/03/2010 13:48

Hello fellow welsh person.
Ditto with still being very very ill all the time. Mine is getting worse not better (13 weeks). Maybe its something in the air!

Feeling very pathetic indeed and it is impossible to concentrate on the work I should be doing.

Hey ho. Lets hope that illness finishes soon.

Good luck to all those having their scans this weeks. Fingers and toes crossed!

KSal · 29/03/2010 13:53

sheildbug, the 7th does seem ages away... in one breath i am excited, in the next i am terrified... urgh

Elsa123 · 29/03/2010 14:35

lilmissmummy I know exactly what you mean. My DH is worried about whether the scan will show anomalies- I am just concerned that we won't see a heartbeat- even though there was one at 7 weeks and there's only a 1% chance that it will no longer be the case.

My DH is convinced I am dead hormonal (saying it drives me up the wall ). I have told him that he has had it easy- I have not cried, lost my temper, I am happy to cuddle etc. His answer? Apparently I am more analytical than normal. Apparently when he said I was hormonal, I would normally say oh? ok! WTF?! When on a normal planet would I be accepting of that statement?! Yet, despite my vitriol on here, I have not lost my rag!!

And relax .............

Hermya321 · 29/03/2010 14:42

ksal shieldbug Yep am the same way, in some ways I can't wait. In other ways I really don't want to turn up and it be really bad news. Fingers crossed, all will be well.

DillyDora · 29/03/2010 15:35

elsa sorry you're feeling and hormonal . The DHs, as brilliant as they are, just are not in the same situation as us so have no idea how it feels and how difficult it can be to keep a 'normal' face on. I keep getting overwhelmed with rage...not nice. Also, if I have to explain to DH that I feel sick and tired ALL the time once more... I will thump him. Maybe I should just get a t-shirt made....

Good luck with scans, people, I'm up on the 8th and although things were fine at 9 weeks I still panic... Maybe that's just natural?

xx

AbFabT · 29/03/2010 16:30

Sorry if I made you itchy just by mentioning it, Dilly. If it helps, I am not feeling at all itchy today!

Hope those of you feeling poorly get better soon, and those of you yet to be scanned, that all is well. I was definitely anxious before mine, I think that's totally normal.

I am officially entering Trimester Two as of today. Woo hoo. And DH and I both made our new profile photo on Facebook the picture of the scan, so the word is out. Been inundated with messages, it's lovely! Also told work, it feels good having them know, I feel all special! There are three of us here who are pregnant, one due in July, one September, and then me in early October. Poor Finance Department are going to be stretched, as they pay us decent maternity leave. And I just learned I can even carry over all my annual leave into my maternity leave, so get to stay off even longer, on pay!

Tyson86 · 29/03/2010 16:37

Finally had my booking in app today, midwife was lovely and told me i will more than likely be allowed a c-section after traumatic 1st birth but not sure what i want at the moment so thinking about it atm.
She couldnt get my blood to leave my body although she was in the vein so got to go to the hospital, she didnt say when, do you just turn up?
Iam reviewing my notes with another midwife when im about 20 weeks from my 1st birth so she can explain some strange parts of my treatment, that will be interesting but not looking forward to it. She is also trying to get my scan forward for within the next week at least as i have a week and a day till im 13+6. Hope it lands on dh's time off.
Hope everyone is getting on ok

DillyDora · 29/03/2010 16:43

Hi AbFabT and congrats on your 'TrimesterTwoNess!'. Glad you feel lovely and that you get a decent mat leave. I am quite an itchy little spud anyway, it wasn't just you, but I must admit I don't usually get itchy knees....

Glad it went well Tyson - my hospital's phlebotomy (love that word!) service has it's own bit of the website and it turns out the best time to go is 3pm (they were right, I was the only one there!) so check the website and they will recommend when you can go and avoid the queues.

MummyWilliams · 29/03/2010 16:51

Hello everyone! Well I haven't posted for a while as I was finding the bad news very depressing and stressful only because of my own MMC at 15 weeks this time last year. Anyhow, I've had my scan this morning and it's all good news. Baby is doing fine, 13+1 today so two days further along. Now due 3rd October, but I have caesareans so little on will be born 1-2 weeks before due date. Obviously this will mean a September baby, but I would like to stay on this thread if that's ok.

I'm still feeling sick from time to time which is mainly when I get a bit tired. The only way to make it go away is to have liittle nap lol!

I can feel the baby moving around too, little squirming about movements.

Good luck to everyone with future scans.

Nymphadora · 29/03/2010 17:47

I am on the 14th for my scan, but there must be people after me? I'm starting to feel behind
Anyway by the time we have been on holiday it will soon be here!

floozietoozie · 29/03/2010 18:34

Mummywilliams, glad you had good news for the scan. It's such a worrying time. After hearing loueys sad news ive got to say I'm pretty worried the same thing is going to happen to me. Two weeks to scan. I'm the same as ILGH and Shieldbug, I think, 12th April.

Been in ikea half the afternoon trying to dcide on kitchen. Think we're getting there, just a quibble over layout to resolve. The ikea man liked my design .
