Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
loueytbg · 22/03/2010 19:09

I can't believe I'm actually writing this but unfortunately we went for our scan today to find that the baby had died at around 9 weeks. It came as a complete shock as I've had no bleeding or cramps and I'm still having random bouts of retching and getting bigger. I'm going into hospital on Wednesday to have an operation because it could take weeks to let nature take its course. Tomorrow is DTs birthday and I couldn't do it then.

I wish all of you the best of luck and I hope that none of you have to go through this.

ILoveGregoryHouse · 22/03/2010 19:19

So so sorry louey. Wishing you all the strength you need to get through this. So sorry.

AbFabT · 22/03/2010 19:22

louey, cry, I am so so so sorry, that's just appalling news, not a lot I can say really. I really hope you and OH find lots of support in each other and your family and friends - and on here too, or wherever you need it. I hope the operation is as bearable as possible. I have tears in my eyes thinking of you right now, I am just so dreadfully sorry.

I hope in good time you are back on these antenatal club threads soon (should that be what you wish for).

My very best regards,
Abi xxx

loueytbg · 23/03/2010 05:44

Thank you all for your messages. Can't sleep so I'm randomly surfing MN. Can't stop crying at the moment but need to hold it together today for DTs. DH is being fantastic but is struggling too which makes me feel better in a weird way - it's not just me feeling bad. He told the ILs last night and lost it on the phone.

Will be TTC again as soon as we are able too - hope we don't have to wait too long. Ironically I gave all my remaining OPKs and HPTs to my sister at the weekend. Will have to go and buy some
more now. I will pop back and see how you are all getting on (my surrogate babies until I can have another one LOL) but please can someone take me off the due date list.

Lots of love to you all (not very MN I know but hey) Louey x

Elsa123 · 23/03/2010 11:33

How is everyone today?

Hermya321 · 23/03/2010 12:38

I'm slightly seething at the rather large individual at work who told me that I should be watching what I'm eating. At the time I was eating vegetable soup!

On the other hand, at least when my tummy does expand I'll have a valid excuse. Blokes eh!

tiredfeet · 23/03/2010 13:15

louey I am so very sorry to hear your news. It must have been a terrible shock. I hope you manage to get through the twins birthday today, and I will be thinking of you tomorrow. Sending you lots of hugs and virtual support and wishing you all the best for the future xxx

SeaShellsOnTheSeaShore · 23/03/2010 13:51

Elsa123 I'm entertaining my in laws and trying to take my mind off tomorrow's scan!

Hermya its always the way isn't it! And can you imagine the reaction if you said something similar back?!!!

VMumToBe · 23/03/2010 16:10

Hi Ladies, first timer here...hope okay if I join...?

Have just spent a really enjoyable hour with a cup of (mint) tea and a kipling fancy (or 3) reading all your news. What a supportive friendly group you are..such lovely words all through.

I am tentatively posting this with all my fingers and toes crossed, as since LMP 5th Jan it's been a bit of a rollercoaster to say the least! Have spent far too much time in EPU already, being the proud owner of a cyst on my left ovary that is still bigger than my little pippy. A bit scary to say the least...has meant 2 scans already though so good to see some progress in the middle of my belly too! Has also meant scary pains so I wanted to share the above in case anyone else has been experiencing symptoms. They say that it should not have an impact (fingers crossed).

I work in a mad mad finance job so my bump has already been racking up the airmiles - wondering when to tell work as cannot imagine the reaction! Thinking will wait at least till after the nuchal.

Due 12th Oct and still getting used to all the acronyms, but would be honoured to be added to the list! x

MummyLovesSadie · 23/03/2010 16:15

Louey I'm so dreadfully sorry to hear your news. I do know what you are going through. When you are ready please do come & join this thread. Everyone on it has had a mc & you will be welcomed with open arms. ThePFJ has joined us & has settled in very well.

ILoveGregoryHouse · 23/03/2010 16:20

Hi VMTB, I guess it's not long to your NT scan?

Hermya well done for not chucking the soup at him. Grrrr.

shieldbug, I find the sweaty betty yoga pants really good for this stage of pregnancy. They don't fall down!

Well, I am going to be HUUUUGE! What to do? The only time I don't feel sick or have reflux is when I'm sleeping or eating - well the eating helps for 10 minutes then it all starts up again. Never mind ay? At least I know weightwatchers works.
