couldn't possibly consider it in the evening considering that I'm usually sleepily unconscious by 7:30pm

He doesn't even finish work til 8pm, getting home for about 9pm

I'm impressed cherrypie! I think we've only managed it about 3 times since bfp Poor DH!

Aussieng · 10/03/2010 17:32

2-3 mornings per week Cherry

I've managed it once since being pg!! And I told DH very sternly as his hand creeped around me "do not jiggle my tummy and I am not turning over"! I have promised him that we will do it once before going on holiday this Friday (am hoping that on hols I will have more energy) so he had caclculated last night that he had 0% chance of sex last nigt, 0% chance tonight, 5% chance tomorrow night, 10% chance on Thursday night and 85% chance of me telling him on Friday that I had changed my mind

Blueberries - i would have been so mad. I hope you get that info from Vix's contact. Please post it here if you do. I'd also be writing a stern letter in line with Chulita's comments re sexual discrimination in the provision of goods and services.

Chulita - your scan sounds cute. Sorry you got no good pics though.

pamplem0usse · 10/03/2010 17:43

Blueberries so annoyed for you.... On a plus John Lewis usually apologise in gift vouchers so maybe you'll get a free bra in the end?!

Cherrypie 2-3 mornings per week!!!!!!! Oh my word!!! My husband is lucky with his once a fortnight.... and he didn't get that for the first 12 weeks as I'd had bleeds and was so scared of damaging the baby!

Chulita, bless your little one!

So I managed to get some bargains from M&P who have 50% off a load of their clothes at the moment. The range of sizes still left on the website was rubbish but there were loads in the shop. Yay! I got this dress www.mamasandpapas.com/product-floral-tea-dress/s0006611/type-s/ and this cardigan www.mamasandpapas.com/product-belted-cardigan/s0006564/type-s/ and also some stuff that wasn't in the sale! Oops! And three cheers for my MIL who bought me all of it and a pair of cute baby socks for the LO

CherryPie3 · 10/03/2010 17:55

Aussie at your dh's calculations!!!

Sex? What's that?

If my libido continues to remain at sub-zero, child number two will have to be delivered by stork.

pamplem0usse · 10/03/2010 18:09

LOL how much are you ladies making me giggle!! Aussie love your husbands calculations (fortunately mine lacks the requisite maths brain cells to make such calculations) and sayanything can I borrow the stork after you?!

Joey30 · 10/03/2010 18:30

Hi Guys!

Am I too late to join? I'm 17 weeks today with my first baby! Super exited but shattered at the moment! My second scans on 13th april _ I'm a bit scared to be honest!

CherryPie3 · 10/03/2010 20:09

It's never too late Joey Hello and welcome. If you post your stats we can add you to the list.

ElusiveMoose · 10/03/2010 22:07

We managed it all the way through last time, though it did feel a bit ridiculous when I was the size of a house (esp. as DH only weighs about 9 stone). And the last couple of weeks were fairly 'active' because DS was 2 weeks late and I was ready to try anything to get him out!! After the birth though.... forget it! I think DH is trying to get his 'due' in now, because if it's anything like last time he'll have about 4 months without so much as a cuddle after the baby's born .

Welcome, Joey. We don't spend the whole time talking about sex, honest .

CazEM · 11/03/2010 06:50

Well ladies!

I went up to bed for a nap at 4.30pm yesterday and I have slept all the way through until 6.00am this morning!!!! ooops! It's a wonder DH didn't wake me up and ask me what we were having for tea! lol! and he took himself off to bed in the spare room I've discovered this morning, so I'd probably sprawled myself out over the entire bed! Haha! Oh well, hopefully I will be wonderfully refreshed now!

Anyone else still struggling to get through this tired stage? Other than feeling knackered after work I feel really good now, but wheres the energy we're supposed to have in the middle bit?!! (I'm 18+4 now)

Had a giggle this morning reading all about the bedroom activity or lack of! Cherry 2/3 mornings a week?! I hope your DH realises how lucky he is!! Haha! We've managed about 5 times since BFP!...and the last time we did it was a massive effort to find a decent position because suddenly all our old favourites have a baby in the way! Lol! Poor DH.

Oh has anyone else had this too? Yesterday afternoon my bump went sooo rock hard it actually almost hurt and my back started aching with it. Was actually the reason I went for a lie down when I got back from uni, drove an hour feeling uncomfortable! All back to normal this morning.

Have a good day everyone! Welcome to Joey also.

isheisnthe · 11/03/2010 08:19

Morning all - Have my consultant appointment today, as they suspect my frst DS had IUGR - Does any one know what they will do - will they scan me to see how this one is growing?

vix206 · 11/03/2010 10:04

Welcome Joey!

I am so relieved to say that I am heartburn free today, and I didn't even need to take the tablets the doctor gave me, it just seemed to fade of its own accord. Typical (but not complaining lol!)

So should have had a lovely peaceful sleep after 2 nights of sleeplessness, sadly our cat decided to meow outside the bedroom door from 4 until 6am so am still absolutely shattered and have 2 houses to view tonight (involving a 2 hour round trip) and same again tomorrow. Then Saturday is garden clearance day, and Sunday have to do the Mothers Day rounds. cry I am so tired and there seems no end in sight!

bouncingblueberries · 11/03/2010 10:23

Caz that sounds like my idea of heaven!

vix you poor poppet - darn cats! We've had to "lock" our one out of the bedroom at night now because she makes such a fuss and pounces on my feet at 1am

Aussieng · 11/03/2010 11:09

Welcome Joey.

Vix - glad you're feeling better. And thank you for the Mother's Day reminder - was about to get lost in a sea of last minute holiday preps!

Isheisnthe - sorry I have no idea but hope your consultant puts your mind at rest.

Hope everyone else has a good day.

CherryPie3 · 11/03/2010 11:21

Morning girlies

Soooo excited for my scan today, will be strange to think this is the last time I'll see him/her until the big day in July/Aug.

Been googling for tricks to make baby move around a bit more as s/he was asleep at the 12wk scan and want to see seom movement on screen So am gonna eat some chocolate (any excuse lol) and drink some orange juice before I go in.

Vix I'm glad to hear your heartburns settled a bit, naughty pussy cats keeping you awake tho!!

Caz I keep telling him to count his lucky stars that he's getting his leg over at the moment cos it will soon stop . At 18wks I was still feeling tiredness to the point of exhaustion hun, only just starting to feel better now at 20wks.

xxxxxxxx

Dibbydab · 11/03/2010 11:38

Welcome Joey, no we don't always talk about sex, most of the time we talk about food (mainly cakes), sometimes we talk about babies

Have a great scan CherryPie, I was so much more relaxed about my second scan - the first one I was sick with worry, but second was was fab. So nice to see little 'un again.

IHIH best of luck with your appt, maybe write a list of questions before you go in? I know whenever someone says to me at the end of an appt "Do you have any questions?" my mind goes blank and I say "No, I think you've covered everything...", then I get outside and realise I should have asked something.

Bathroom update. We have a loo bowl (with no cistern - but at least it isn't on the landing any more), a bath that is leaking (hopefully a minor fix), 3 walls partially tiled (have worlds slowest tiler) and a hand basin. The shower cubicle is arriving today, so hopefully by the end of the weekend it will be finished (before it goes into week 4!) Please all offer up a prayer to the god of plumbing that we don't have any more "hitches".

My lovely dad is going to come and move the pink bath and toilet from the front garden at the weekend - DH can't fit it all in his very impractical car, and I don't want to get mine dirty

sayanything · 11/03/2010 11:44

Good luck with your scan today Cherry, I hope you see lots of movement and waving!

Vix we had the same problem with one of our cats when we decided that she was no longer allowed to sleep with us. The only thing that worked was putting (lots of)aluminium foil outside our bedroom door - she hates the noise it makes when she steps on it and we've been mercifully meowing- and scratching-free ever since. It's not a decor I'd choose though and it's very noisy when you get up for the hundredth time to go to the loo...

bouncingblueberries · 11/03/2010 11:52

cherry good luck with your scan! Mine isn't for another 2 weeks

dibby everything crossed for you - it will feel soooooo luxurious when you finally get a working bathroom. Make sure you treat yourself to some super-dooper bath stuff

vix206 · 11/03/2010 12:22

Our cats have never been allowed to sleep in with us, its just that unfortunately sometimes they seem to get really clingy and want to come in! They are not phased by anything at all, tried tin foil, water sprays, citrus repellant smelly things - you name it we have tried it. Luckily they don't play up very often but it always seems to be when you most need a good night's sleep!!

vix206 · 11/03/2010 12:22

PS Cherrypie good luck with the scan. I'm nearly 18 weeks and still waiting to hear on the date for mine. I hope I don't have to wait too long!

YummymummyKJulie · 11/03/2010 12:43

Chulita · 11/03/2010 13:04

I just got back from the consultant and I'm so angry, she was totally negative about everything I've got wobbles about the VBAC now which surely isn't the point...stupid waste of time.
yummymummy, I got weighed today , I didn't want to know how much weight I'd put on but the freaking digi display was right in front of my face so I saw it and now I just feel huge when I was feeling ok about it before. I sympathise!
DD's asleep and I'm shattered but I just know if I get my head down she'll wake up so I'm just going to have to stick it out [sigh]
Crunchie bar anyone?

isheisnthe · 11/03/2010 13:06

Off to my consultant appointment in a min - am secretly hoping I may get a peak at beanie - but also shitting it like when you are sent to the head teacher or something like that - why!!?
