Diege · 23/03/2010 17:50

oooh sale at M&S CANT? May take a peek...BTW you are far more MILF than mumsy, not that I would personally (no offense), but you get my drift .
Hi MOOS, how are things?
TINK sounds like a lovely afternoon
Sold £35 worth of e-bay this afternoon from BINs, so pretty chuffed. Have piles to list so must keep on and get them listed. Really hare the post office part though.
Hope everyone else is ok - feeling fit for work I thing so will be there tomorrow.

maxxymoosmummy · 23/03/2010 18:07

hi everyone got yet another headache, its just not budging, skipped interview stage today and just did the training, got paid for it which is a bonus, and working 9-3 tommorro, then 9-4 friday the job is just cleaning, but it gets me out of the house, and DS used to not being with me all the time, was strange leaving him today, and will be the same till i get used to it. but will be good for the both of us.
sorry not caught up, will be back on to catch up when DS is in bed.

gingerbreadlatte · 23/03/2010 18:22

Hi
thanks for your views on the subject. I can be oversensitive so it was good to get a sense check.

at kind comments about being a MILF
(also so glad you knew what I meant- I'd never heard of it til I met my husband... )

Not going to bear a grudge or anything... just glad to know that i wasnt the one being unreasonably

Cant- shopping sounds good. Good luck for tomorrows appointment. Will be thinking of you.

M&S sales sound good... will defiantely look.

Diege- good going on the ebaying and glad you are feeling better.

GruffaloSoldier · 23/03/2010 20:22

Evening all!

Another busy day here. Depending on my temp tomorrow I think I am on my 2ww now so quite excited!

LOL GBL - its ok, I'd slept off the hangover by the time I went to the party.

at that guys comment, I'm sure he didn't mean it indeed, but still! Just sounds quite unecessary to say something like that. But my friends DH asked if I was pregnant on Friday! I'm pretty sure it was because he had misheard something I'd said but still made me and look down at my tummy! especially as I have lost loads of weight! why don't men just keep quiet?? life would be so much more peaceful

Tink CANT - good on you with the shopping! Hope apt goes ok tomorrow. Just remember even if they do say stuff about delayed development it doesn't necessarily mean anything bad. Just keep positive. fingers crossed it goes well.

Ses - yay for spends and hope you made the park.

MMM - good on you on the job, sounds great!well done!

right I am off to do some work before one born every minute...

hi to anyone I've missed, sorry for the rushed post

maxxymoosmummy · 23/03/2010 20:39

caught up but cant remember anything. having an early night tonight, so going to catch up on one born every minute tomoro or thursday. up early to get DS to my sister, and me to work. ( now thats wierd saying work )

Diege · 23/03/2010 20:43

Hi GRUFF, exciting about 2ww When you testing then?
MMM brilliant news about the job, well done you
Right, bottles to do then one born every minute on 4 - my favourite programme at the moment
Oh and CANT meant to say very exciting about possible surragacy. Do you think you'll mention it to them over the easter hols as you were thinking?

Starshinetiger · 23/03/2010 21:17

Tee hee - Gruff, your post made me giggle - you said about a busy day and then straight away about being on 2ww - left me wondering what you'd done with GC if you'd been busy TTCing all day today

GBL - echo everyone else's thoughts. Unnecessary for him to say anything and think Moosy put it very well about the down on the floor doing Mumsy stuff think. You are definitely more MILF and not at all Mumsy (except in the good way of being a good Mummy to your DD). Gruff - very well put, life would be so much better if men didn't say anything

Diege - glad you're feeling better.

Can't - yay for shopping. Hope appt goes well tomorrow. Am sure I have heard that they don't expect prems to fully catch up til the age of 2?

MMM - well done on new job!

Can't stay up for OBEM, but will have to try and see it on catch-up - had a shocker with DD last night, so need some sleep. Won't bore you all with it, but now she's 1 trying to give up bfing, so we can try to figure out what if any foods are affecting her without the complications of what I might be eating that might affect her.

Smithy - agree with everyone else, horrible situation but do agree with you that you should keep your children away. Sounds a nightmare for you.

Ses - yay for getting paid!

Hi Tink, Nat, Kayz, Moos, anyone else I've missed.

Rugbylovingmum · 23/03/2010 22:01

Gruff - oooo, how exciting to start talking about the 2ww on the wagon again. I get so excited when it's time for someone to test - is that weird .

GBL - honestly men ! Sure he didn't mean anything negative, their brains just work in a very strange way. I've given up trying to understand DPs little comments.

Diege - hope you are all well now, you must be exhausted .

Can't - yay for shopping. Fingers crossed the appt goes well tomorrow - I'm sure she is just catching up at her own pace.

MMM - congrats on new job! How many days are you going to be working?

Smithy - what a nightmare! I agree with everyone that you shouldn't let the kids go there and I hope FIL stops complaining and just agrees to see you all away from the house. Would be a bit with DH for not being more supportive even if it is a bit awkward for him. Hooray for ttcing no4!

Ses - hooray for getting paid and shopping!

Hi to everyone I've missed.

Well getting my wisdom teeth out was pretty horrible - it wasn't too painful just a bit grim (could taste blood for days - yuck!). I have some very attractive green and yellow bruising on my jaw now but pretty much fine apart from that. Poor DD had a very boring mummy for a few days as smiling, talking, pulling faces etc really hurt but she amused herself learning to roll over. She is very sneaky - if we are in the room she rolls on to her tummy then pretends she can't turn back but when we left her alone for a minute she rolled across the room and pulled everything off the bookshelf .

She is still wolfing down everything we put in front of her . Just a quick question for those who did BLW - DD has gone back to having several dirty nappies a day and sometimes she seems to strain and grunt a bit but she doesn't seem to be in any real discomfort - is that normal. She takes some water with her food and I'm still bf on demand. A lot of what she is eating seems to go through pretty much undigested too (not that I sit checking her nappies, honest but couldn't miss the big bits of carrot and beans).

maxxymoosmummy · 24/03/2010 07:03

morning, up for getting ready for work, got a cold over night and a headache, so hoping with some paracetomol i feel ok.
only contracted to monday and friday (12 hours) but can do extra if want to and need to sort of thing.
est get off as need to do a 25 min walk to drop M of, Then another 20 min walk to work from there. will be on later.
hope everyone has good days.

gingerbreadlatte · 24/03/2010 07:37

Morning

Quick message before I get on with work.

Gruff Hurray for 2WW!!! so exciting. I was amused too about being busy then mentioning 2WW! I cant believe someone asked if you were preg, you are looking fab these days

Hi Star- sorry for the bad night with DD. Hope last night was better. Interested to hear how you are approaching giving up BFing. I am ready to do it but want to it the least painful way possible!

Rugby- glad the wisdom teeth thing is over- its not nice to have done but Im glad you are sounding chirpy

Re BLW- the nappy thing is normal- well it was for us. We started getting "movements" at almost every nappy change for a while and a lot of it was undigested foods (TMI for 7am!) Watch out for nappy rash- we got some bad bouts purely due to frequency. It did sort out but took a while. Sweetcorn remains undigested these days

Diege- hope you are back at work today.

MMM how is your headache today?

Better go and look busy

essenceofSES · 24/03/2010 07:39

Morning!

MMM - good luck today with the job. Hope it all works out for you. With all that walking, you'll be getting plenty of exercise too!

GBL - the others have said it all really but as I read your post I was very at what he said.

Rugby - lol at sneaky C
re straining and grunting, that does sound similar to how O was at the start of BLW (and is even now sometimes). I decided that if he was still getting regular dirty nappies that I wasn't worried. I remember seeing quite a few chunks too!

Gruff - yay for 2ww when are you testing?!

Star - I thought exactly the same about Gruff's "busy day"

tink - sounds like you had a good day yesterday

Cant - v impressive shopping!

Diege - v impressive ebaying! Hope you're still feeling better today.

Hello Nat, Moos, Kay et al

We're set for our usual busy Wednesday here but I'll hopefully catch up later.

essenceofSES · 24/03/2010 07:42

Morning GBL - xposted there! Are you all bug and cold free atm?

gingerbreadlatte · 24/03/2010 08:11

OOh hi Ses, xpost...

Have a great Wednesday.

Yes (TOUCH WOOD) we are all well- which is the first time in about 3 months.

Im sure I've jinxed that now and the nursery will ring today!

cantmummyhaveabreak · 24/03/2010 08:43

DH is taking DC's to school & nursery... have just done a mini whizz round, just need to hoover.

Diege- also been ebaying- sold £75 worth of bits yesterday!! and going to do some more listing later today. I hate the PO bit... but it's worth it in the end- gets me more spending money!!

Lady is due here at 10am... will try and get on asap afterwards to let you all know what went on, and what was said...

oh and Diege- thanks for the MILF (even tho you wouldn't ) comment- made my morning it has!! haha!! Think maybe i should return the compliment and let you know i think your certainly more MILF material than mumsy... again, not that your my 'type'... haha!!

cantmummyhaveabreak · 24/03/2010 08:50

also meant to say wuhoo for 2ww GS. and wuhoo for TTc Smithy.

Diege- on the surrogacy... think DD1 may have let somethign slip that might have given us away already... on sat when they were over, she said 'we're going to pass you a baby aren't we?... we're gonna call it heatblast'... they just laughed and i said 'a baby heatblast would be scary' and carried on... i'm a tad worried we sent them home wondering what she meant... but myself and DH thought the DC's were old enough to understand so talked to them to kind of 'let them know' what might happen... rather than a 'this is happening' when i'm PG for them sort of thing.

I think we're just gonna play it by ear as far as talking to them... but they're introducing us to thier family etc when we're over at easter- thats a big step for 'friends'... i have some friends i've known for 8 years or so and never met their family...

tinkstoddleriswalking · 24/03/2010 08:57

tink - ducklings sound cute!

GBL - hope there's no jinx and no phonecalls from nursery!

Right best be off!

NatalieJane · 24/03/2010 09:36

Hello,

Not caught up at all, and haven't got time to stop, but wanted to let you all know a house came up yesterday, I went to see it yest. aft. and then we all went last night, we should find out for absolute deffo on Friday but looks like it's ours

It is completely different from everything we've looked at before, it's older but been modernised really nicely, and it's a semi which is the only down side, but it's huge it's got a big entrance hall, front lounge (which will become my office) a downstairs shower room, a long but quite narrow kitchen, a rear lounge (play room) huge dining room (living room) conservatory (dining room) a rear hall leading to the converted garage with a utility room, a small room (DS1's homework room), a large room (mine and DH's evening retreat(!)/spare bedroom - sofa bed) and another toilet, then 1st floor there are 3 bedrooms and a huge bathroom with a newly fitted victorian roll top bath in the middle of the room etc, and then top floor is a bedroom which DS1 has claimed, and loads of attic space, it's got a huge drive out the front, and in the back garden there is a work-shop size shed thing, a wood store (real fire in the rear lounge!) and a wooden playhouse thing, not the biggest lawn but big enough for his trampoline and still have room to run about and play football etc.

The only decorating that needs doing ASAP is in the smallest bedroom, it's pink, am sure DS3 wouldn't mind very much but I can't do that to him! Everywhere else is freshly painted, though will obviously over time put my our touch on it, and best thing is, landlady wants a really long let, so short of disaster it's our's for as long as we want it!

It's going to be a drive to DS1's school but if we're right in thinking DS2 isn't going to get into the same school we'd have ended up driving to get them both to different schools anyway so that's no different.

So looks like we can be out of this house around the first week in May, not sure what's going to happen with my course, I think I might have to defer it for a couple of months though am going to try and just keep going with it even while we're moving - that'll be fun!

Right really have to go, both the boy's need changing, DH is feeling really bruised and tender so I am doing 99% of everything, but that means because he is here I feel like I have to be constantly doing something IYKWIM? Spraying the polish into the air and making it smell like I've polished (they NEVER check the furniture for signs of dust!) isn't cutting it!! Will try and catch up later, but not sure if I'll get chance, he's back at work tomorrow so will be back to normal - phew!

Take care everyone x

tinkstoddleriswalking · 24/03/2010 11:09

nat - that is fab news crossing fingers that it is yours

it sounds perfect

enjoyed m&m and then pooped in tesco bracken sat in the trolley luvs it
bought another egg and tuna pate fro my lunch
have dd2s injections @ 1:50pm

Diege · 24/03/2010 12:41

Afternoon! That does sound good news NAT - and what a big house! When will you find out if you've got it?
Hi TINKS - you didn;t really poop in Tesco's did you? Hope the jabs go ok
CANT, how did this morning go?
Hi to everyone else - trying to catch up with work now I'm back in.

Starshinetiger · 24/03/2010 12:52

Childish sniggering... I totally glossed over that 'til you pointed it out Diege! Glad there is someone else on here as adult as I am!!

Diege · 24/03/2010 13:08

STAR. How are things going?

NatalieJane · 24/03/2010 13:32

Children, children, settle down now There are worse things you could do in Tesco... ...can't think of anything right now but have conjured up some equally infantile yuk things now, taverymuchly

We've got the house T'is ours! DH has just booked the days off work that we'll need, the landlady has told us to hand our notice in here, it has all just slot into place so perfectly, I can't believe it, and we are actually now thinking about things that could go wrong! For the moment we are going with the 'it's just meant to be' line, fingers crossed it stays like that!

I really can't believe we're actually going to live there, it's so completely different to the house I've had pictured in my mind since we started looking last year, we've seen nothing like it, in fact the way it's all extended upwards and outwards, probably never see another one like it.

Oh and one of my favourite bits, it's got one of those stainless steel range cooker things, we'll be able to cook dinner for all of us at the same time!

I'm really excited, but more so I'm that it's all happened so quickly, this time yesterday we didn't even know this house existed, now we're moving into it in 5 weeks!

Diege · 24/03/2010 13:37

NAT that's excellent news!!!! Really pleased for you, and looks like it may well be a forever(ish) home if they're after a long-let...Will you be able to redecorate etc??? Think of all the possibilities for your portfolio!!!
Eek knock, better go!!!
