Hello
thanks for reassurance re being non-sheeplike.

hi nat

hi to all you other ladies

have a quiet day here today
my mum stayed over is painting our landing she offered luvs painting it is yellow @ the mo a sunshine yellow is going to be a light pink same as loundge

NatalieJane · 09/03/2010 09:04

No, GBL, don't think anyone likes the thought of being talked about, but really it is their problem. At least you're open minded enough to see there are options, choices, differences, they just can't see past the end of their noses (and I would bet my bottom dollar that they have all at one point thought very seriously about one or more aspects of your parenting and thought about using some of the ideas, they are just too far gone in the sheep department and can't quite take their wolly jumpers off to actually do any of it, their loss IMO!)

Morning Tink Hope you have a lovely quiet day

NatalieJane · 09/03/2010 09:06

Flippin' 'eck, my typing is awful today - sorry everyone Wooly, taught from earlier, and there was more but I can't remember them now!

maxxymoosmummy · 09/03/2010 09:20

mornin everyone, been getting ready as need to do the shopping, as i put it off yesterday. but wish i never now, woke up with really bad stomach cramps, back ache, and the weather isnt looking so good today either. but i got to go out, no choice about it today.
GBL good advice re being the sheep, no point in going down to everybody elses level, like others have said everyone has their own way to do things, theres no right or wrong.

gingerbreadlatte · 09/03/2010 09:26

Thanks Nat- that was just the talking to I needed this morning. Feeling much more chilled now
Tink- thanks for the links- those are really nice, might get one for DD. Did I read that the boden stuff comes up quite small?

Rugbylovingmum · 09/03/2010 10:49

Morning all,

I've lost 5lb this week and ! I'm really pleased, definitely going to stick with the diet and workouts this week.

GBL - it's really crap if they were laughing at you but maybe it was just nervous giggling if they aren't comfortable talking about 'non-sheepish' parenting. I am the only one from my NCT group trying BLW and no-one mocks but they do look a bit about it. It is the same reaction I got when I started swimming sessions when she was 5 weeks old but she loved it and now a few of them have now joined us at poolbabies they have to admit she is very comfortable in (or under) the water. Just ignore it! Glad you had a good meal anyway.

Tink - how nice of your mum to paint your landing - can we borrow her when we find a house to buy .

Gin - phew! Good luck with the school run, must be manic.

Moosy - lovely to 'see' you again. How exciting that the Barn is nearly finished - good luck selling the house! I'm a bit about Fizzys sleeping, Caitlin is back to waking several times a night but at least she now gets up at 7.30 rather than 5.

Star - yah for DD starting to take steps and for the kitchen nearly being finished. I hope you get the wheat intolerance issue sorted out soon. Poor DS - my foster sister used to sleepwalk whenever she was a bit anxious about something but it often stopped once she had time to get used to things.

Gruff - GC sounds so cute trying to run!

MMM and NJ - sorry you are feeling crap this morning, hope you feel better soon.

cantmummyhaveabreak · 09/03/2010 11:10

morning- busy listing DD2's clothes on ebay, have been keeping up-to date but thought i better post to note where i am... should be around again later properly.

maxxymoosmummy · 09/03/2010 12:31

just back frm doing the shoppin, and DS is fast asleep.
its roastin outside now, didnt look too great this morning, but think im off to the beach for a bit with DS when he wakes if its still nice out.
pains / cramp have gone after i took some ibuprofen, so hoping they stay away smile]
RUGBY great about the weight loss well done

NatalieJane · 09/03/2010 12:53

MMM, sun is out here but it's still freezing cold, we're be up in Blackpool later to finally pick this sodding car up so save us some heat please! Glad you're feeling better now

Rugby, really good going on the weight loss!

Have just done something really stupid I emailed the NDA asking if they had a rough time scale to recieve the stuff, thought I'd kind of worded it like I was just making a casual enquiry, sent it, read it back again and realised that I sounded like an over excited 5 year old child, certainly far from the chilled, grown up, normal tone I was trying to go for! Now they'll all know think I'm an obsessive dramatic numpty. They should have a retrieval function on emails, so that for as long as the email is not opened you can get it back!

NatalieJane · 09/03/2010 14:22

Oh well, looks like it was worth me making a fool of myself, stuff's going to be here on Friday Now I am normally one for looking forward to Fridays, but this is going to be eversoslightly more than looking forward to the vino!

If I didn't feel like shit, I would be running around screaming, again! Bloody hate having a cold, you get no sympathy, no niceness because 'it's only a cold' which of course , it is only a cold, but you still feel like someone ran you over with a combine-harvester and then sewed you back together inside out. Bleurghhh.

GruffaloSoldier · 09/03/2010 15:03

Hi all!

Poorly GC here. High temp and sickness in the night. Just high temp now. poor thing, def teeth related i think. I am another sick-phobe! I hate even my own therefore I am hardly ever sick. yuck Luckily it was all over DH and not me at 3am this morning

GBL - at your NCT. you are a brilliant mother and have made some great choices in her upbringing and SG is testament to that. They are obviously just jealous I am hoping that maybe they are just jesting and just having a play with you but still not nice. I do not take even jesting very well (just ask DH )

Moosy - Glad Fizzy is sleeping well and good luck on the house! ! How exciting!!!!

Gin - you are not the only one that is late and had to test this week [ahem - quickly brushes over]

Diege - I am going straight on that website after this

Hello NJ and Tink - anyone else I've missed...

hi gruff

Moosy · 09/03/2010 17:14

GBL, you have me intrigued now, what are your radical views that cause so much gossip?

I know people at the toddler group I sometimes go to think I'm strange in some of my views but I don't really care what they think of me. I only go there as the girls like it, not to make friends My real friends parent very similarly to me so there's nothing to worry/moan about there

Gin, phew for your -ve, do you think you will ttc again after this year?

DH had the snip done a couple of weeks ago so not long to go until we can stop worrying and being careful. Ooooh but didn't he half make a fuss! He fainted while they were doing it then went on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on about it for daaaaaaaaays afterwards. Anyone would think I'd never experienced pain the way he was going on "you don't know what it's like to have some bloke snipping around your bits" hmmm, of course not, episiotomies and 3 births were a doddle after all!

maxxymoosmummy · 09/03/2010 17:30

well i have just had DS come to me with his nappy, and wipes. first time ever hes brought me them, but funnily enough he had actually got a dirty nappy hes now running around in his pjs, waiting for daddy to come before he goes to bed. hes bein very cheeky atm.

Moosy - LOL at your DH.

MMM - DS sounds very cute with nappy and wipes

Going to watch one born every minute at 9pm. I'm hoping for some nice supportive birthing partners! I hate it when they are unsupportive - it makes me

maxxymoosmummy · 09/03/2010 20:57

GS sorry about GC not being well, but glad hes coping well with it. and hope hes back to his normal self soon.
yes was very cute with the nappy and wipes altho when i went to change his nappy he ran away haha. as per usual the littl terror.

GruffaloSoldier · 09/03/2010 21:26

hee hee,

just stumbled upon another thread...a wagoner who is not on here much I think is expecting DC2...can you guess who it is???

Starshinetiger · 09/03/2010 22:13

Are you trying to tell us something Gruff? Is it you?

GruffaloSoldier · 09/03/2010 22:27

Well my test said BFN so apparently not yet still no AF no but I've spotted someone else on MN wagon who I think is. Im not saying who as she might want to come say herself

Moosy · 09/03/2010 22:38

Come on Gruff, spill! I don't have the brain power for detective work anymore!
