Oh right ok I hate waiting all day for something.
Yeah Ill let you know what I get lol.

violetbubbles · 09/03/2010 10:41

Hi everyone - I am dying my roots this morning - so excited! Using a peroxide free dye so should be safe enough!

Sorry to hear about your grandma Flex

becky123 and stac14 - I can't make it to the class at the PRM this week because we have a final meeting with mortgage advisor to get everything sorted before the big move. I'd definitely like to come in future though. Am I allowed to go to classes at PRM even though I'm being treated at the SG? Becky - I'll be at aquanatal this week. It was really good last week. I had ZERO energy but the instructor was really nice to me so I just took it at my own pace. Felt better for doing it afterwards.

About maternity leave: I have applied to start three weeks before 3rd July, which is my due date. I'm lucky in that I have the option to work from home if I want so happy to work a bit later if I'm able.

Good luck to everyone going for scans this week. Is yours today Stac?

xx

WickedWitchSouthWest · 09/03/2010 10:49

Morning everyone!

Ta for the advice, I'll keep an eye on it. Lovely

violet oo have fun at the hairdressers! I SO need a haircut, i'm all straggly

chulita when do you get to find out where you'll be moving?

stac hope the scan goes well! I'd so love another scan, i had a growth scan at 36 wks with dd as she was measuring small so we'll see what happens this time...!

memphis ahh I love my boobs! I'm normally an A/B girl so having these D cup whoppers is a very plesant side effect but a bit worrying as to HOW big they'll get when the milk comes in, eek.

Hope everyone is having a good day

DesperateHousewife21 · 09/03/2010 10:57

My friend has cancelled lunch now im really pissed off and Ive got nothing else to do today and if I have to spend another min in this flat Im going to scream and Im having a I-feel-fat-not-pregnant day

WickedWitchSouthWest · 09/03/2010 11:07

oh no dh! how about a bit of retail therapy?

DesperateHousewife21 · 09/03/2010 11:16

Id love to WWSW but we're trying to save money as im not working we're struggling a bit atm. Also she said she will try and find a way to meet up with me today (shes lost her car keys so will have to get a bus to the town we were going to meet in) which means Ive got to stay in and wait for her to let me know, I can see whats going to happen though, Ill be here all afternoon and she'll text me saying she cant get into town after all.

WickedWitchSouthWest · 09/03/2010 11:44

what a pain. Mind you retail therapy isn't all that great at the mo, most of the maternity clothes are rubbish! I'm still holding off buying baby clothes too coz storage is an issue until we get dd's room sorted out. Can't believe how much it's going to cost; bed, wardrobe, carpet, new bedlinen argh...

Needle · 09/03/2010 11:47

Morning all,

DH that sucks! I hope you find something else to do with your day.

I'm supposed to be changing hospitals today, but stil waiting for DH to get up (artists!) I really don't want to miss the chance before he has to go into work. Baby is clearly impatient too, as I'm getting a serious kicking. Feel very grumpy.

Chulita · 09/03/2010 12:01

stac, he'd like to leave but we're tied in for another 4 years, which is fine - some days he wants to stay, others he wants to go and he knows the grass is definitely not greener on the other side, just a different flavour!
wwsw we had 3 wks notice before moving here so goodness only knows when we'll know where we're moving to - soon would be nice but highly unlikely!
Had a lovely morning at Sure Start, hopefully DD will have a decent nap and I can get on with mumsnet housework

stac14 · 09/03/2010 12:09

aw thats rubbish dh hopefully your friend will find your keys

Yeah scan is at 3.40 violet and wwsw taking best friend and ds, feel it will help him get used to the baby. I'm going for new hair next week yay. Loving the length but the grey is coming through at a rate of knots lol

wwsw believe it or not george at asda has gorgeous clothes at the moment, there are some lovely neutral things and very reasonable

needles i am overly impatient at the moment. Have lost my rag at dp yesterday and sunday, mainly for not listening. Give him a nudge luv lol x

DesperateHousewife21 · 09/03/2010 12:10

Id love to go out and buy loads of baby things but I still feel like its too soon and it'll just be lying around for weeks on end.

Im going to Tesco now to get some dinners for the week fun fun!

Got my 22 week app with mw 2mo morning at 9am, god knows why I chose such an early time!

stac14 · 09/03/2010 12:30

dh the stuff i'm buying is staying at my aunts till i get organised here. Also by late pregnancy i know i wont be up for lots of shopping so want the bulk done. Also with pubic pain i'm not taking the chance lol x

Hi everyone. Hope everyone isn't doing too badly today.

Sorry that your plans got messed about, DesperateHousewife. It's always annoying when you're set for something and it changes at the last moment!

Good luck with your scan, stac! Hopefully everything will be fine and the LO will be behaving nicely for the sonographer to get the measurements. Alternatively, that the LO is fine but behaving badly for measurements so you get called back for another scan later on - another opportunity to see them!

I had some minor 'fun' this morning... Woke up (as hazily as ever) feeling like I just couldn't move at all. I was all that everything was finally catching up and I was about to be rendered immobile. (Been lucky so far - aside from the odd achy muscle had no particular loss of movement or mobility.)

I attempted to reach over to alert my DH that he needed to fetch a really big crowbar to get me off the mattress...when my big fat kitty decided it was breakfast time so jumped off where he'd been sleeping on the duvet right on top of my bump.

Anyway, after he moved, I was fine. Though felt a bit silly, especially since my cat had been purring the whole time and I'd just assumed the noise and vibration was the LO.

Mornings are not my best time, apparently.

Anyway, just chipping in with the leaving dates... I'm currently pencilled in to start my maternity leave the Monday of the week before LO is due, i.e. 12th July. However, HR want me to use up all my holiday before then, of which I seem to have a lot. I think I ended up carrying some over from last year!

So I've ended up taking a week off in April to decorate the nursery, then another four weeks before my maternity leave. Which means I technically finish work on around 11th June, or the 34 week mark. I've been warned I'll get bored... But to be honest I'm quite looking forwards to having a few weeks of time to myself before LO appears.

Means I can make any final arrangements, as well as catch up on sleep and relaxation. I also have a half baked idea of doing some writing for a storybook I've been working on too. I never normally seem to have time to do much, but now's my chance!

DesperateHousewife21 · 09/03/2010 13:13

stac ill get the shopping done before im too big i wont feel like doing it then either!

spirael I should have expected it really this particular friend of mine is always cancelling at the last min. Well there is still a chance I see her today but that chance is pretty slim. Ah well only just under 5 hours til DP gets home

WickedWitchSouthWest · 09/03/2010 13:41

Oo thanks for the tipoff stac handily I was planning an Asda trip this afternoon (oh the joy!) as it's all up the motorway so it warrants a full trip out!

spirael you made me cats, eh? Mine is obsessed with sleeping on my bump and it's bloody uncomfortable!

DesperateHousewife21 · 09/03/2010 13:50

My DP's dad has cats and when we went round there on sat one of the cats came and curled up around my bump, the others seemed to think she was protecting me and LO bless!

Spirael · 09/03/2010 14:05

I wish I could say my kitties were protecting the bump... But my big fat cat just sees it as a cozy warm place to sleep, and my little skittish kitty was using it as a pincushion for her claws!

DesperateHousewife21 · 09/03/2010 14:35

haha spirael I must say the cat did claw at my belly while making herself comfy and was pawing at my bump which looked hilarious, was just thinking how LO was feeling at the time.

I just hoovered the flat in my pants but now just noticed how much bigger my thighs have got

kapars · 09/03/2010 14:38

haha spirael your cat story made me laugh.
I started antenatal yoga last night which was wonderful. I stopped my normal yoga class a few weeks ago as I couldn't do a lot of the exercises anymore especially as I have pgp.
But most of the ladies there were 30 weeks plus and HUGE!!!!!
As a first timer, I am not fully aware of how big you get - except for seeing a scarily big woman at the hospital and my friend who was 8 months at my wedding and looked ready to drop.
On maternity leave - I'm freelance and have just started a new contract for three days a week with two at home so I only have to go in to the office one day a week. So I'm planning on going as long as possible but having seen these massive ladies struggling to move at 34 weeks I'm going to see if I can do the last month all from home. It would be a nightmare getting on tube so large especially when lots of people hide their heads in books and don't like to give up their seats.

DesperateHousewife21 · 09/03/2010 17:16

stac how did the scan go earlier? Did you find out what your having?

My LO has been kicking my tummy all day I was lying on the sofa watching him its so lovely!

stac14 · 09/03/2010 17:35

Hi ladies

Scan went great, no more pics though the sonographer couldnt tell for sure as lo had legs closed but she said 55% girl, now I know this will sound impatient but we are going for a 3d scan to find out for sure lol All measurements were good and baby is perfectly healthy

How is everyone? Just going on a search to see how much a 3d is, dont need all the measurements and stuff done so just want a gender check up must admit its a nice feeling to think it may be a girl as we already have a boy each xxx

OP posts:
DesperateHousewife21 · 09/03/2010 17:40

stac shame about not knowing for sure that must be frustrating but I would go for a private scan too Id really want to know. Really glad baby is healthy

memphis83 · 09/03/2010 17:40

stac im having the scan at a private clinic look at seeyourbaby.co.uk im getting a 30 min app with dvd, 8 pics, a photo frame and a teddy that plays the heart beat for £99 it should be £200 but i got the leaflet so i thought that was a good price, also thought it would be nice for parents etc to see the dvd! wwsw i started as a c cup and got measured as a 32H yesterday my dh thinks it brilliant, my mum says i look like something from a carry on film! i use more cream on boobs than on belly in a desperate bid they dont go south after baby arrives!
