fab pics and great news spireal hope my lo cooperates on tuesday

Your poor dd chulita do they know whats wrong with her? For your friend, whats the gift for? Has it to be related to ttc?

dh21 no didnt get my hair done for the concert, my hairs looking healthy just now its my skin thats crap lol. It was great.

kkfairy was at gp this morning, she again wasnt worried bout piles, just to increase lactulose to soften toilet.

Been feeling really good, dp was on hols from work so had a bit of time ourselves. Got new glasses and dp was an ass bout them. Ended up really crying, anyone else been that hormonal. X

spirael congrats on a girl! The pic is lovely

stac I think I vaguely remember saying something about having your hair done unless I completely made that up! Stupid pregnancy brain of mine.

Ive still got a really blocked up nose

Chulita · 04/03/2010 20:21

It doesn't have to be related to ttc, I just wanted something sort of baby related, a bit cutesy but not like 'congratulations you're pregnant' type thing. I think that's why I'm struggling, I don't actually know - something cute and gifty
The GP said she might have tonsilitis but I used to get it all the time when I was little and I never had a fever with it...and it was a 'might have' so they don't know. She's on antibiotics though and they tend to work quite quick.

I'm also very teary at anything. When DH said he wouldn't be finishing early today I cried he hardly ever finishes early so what's the big surprise?

DH you probably have but towel-over-head-leaning-over-steaming-water? No fun but it clears nostrils...either that or chew a chili...

stac14 · 04/03/2010 21:21

dh21 i havent got a clue, I may have said something, omg feels like I have dementia sometimes lmao

chulita at christmas my sis bought me a bear from the bear factory which when you squash its paw says 'i love you so much' quite cutesy and could be given to the baby when she has it, or since ttc can be stressful what about a set from lush with all the relaxation goodies in it? I get tonsalitus a lot and the only time I had a fever was when it was mixed with a viral infection, as long as she gets better hun. I havent been weepy at all but today I was just in floods, he didnt even mean it and I would usually shrug it off strange!!

OP posts:
DesperateHousewife21 · 04/03/2010 21:25

chulita act I havent tried that yet! Ill do that tomorrow, I think ill pass on the chili though lol.

stac yeah me too its ridiculous sometimes haha, better than having a hairy belly though which is another thing I have. Actually come to think of it, I dont know which one I'd rather have!

Chulita · 04/03/2010 21:40

Not a bad idea stac, might look at the 'me to you' bears cos I think they're lovely!
Off to bed now, I reckon DD'll be up in the night. Hope it's not viral cos the antibiotics won't work on that!

hello, glad to hear good scan news from people! Mine's a week tomorrow so not too long to wait, though we're not finding out the sex (boo hiss, I would like to but DH doesn't). Am feeling rather big and whalelike today - I went for a swim today and swam in the slow lane for about the first time ever. Picked up some cloth nappies from a Freecycler which is cool!

Firerise · 05/03/2010 07:19

Morning! Looks like everyone has had a very busy week! Loving all the scan pictures, they are beautiful!

Congrats on your secret irl news wonderstuff, v chuffed for you! Have to reply on fb...sorry, I am rubbish!

It was my birthday on Wednesday and dh took me for a lovely meal which I promptly threw up outside the restaurant on the way home- who said romance was dead huh?!!

We decided on how we are decorating the nursery- we are going for a jungle theme and have just bought a 1.5m white tiger toy from a charity shop to put in there! Everyone thinks we are being ridiculous but who needs a pram and cot when you have a bloody big tiger!!

Still confused by prams....any feedback on quinny buzzes or iCandys? Toooooo much choice!

We have our scan on Monday afternoon and I really can't wait now!!!! We have decided that we are going to keep the gender as a surprise if I can stop myself from shouting "Tell me!!!!!" when we get in there!

So glad it's Friday, had such a manic week I am out of energy now. Hope you all have a lovely day x

memphis83 · 05/03/2010 09:24

stac im off to see the stereophonics tonight, very excited and i will be resting all day to get over it tomorrow, ive got physio later the 1st one of many i guess as i cat draw my leg back without pain!! cant believe how many people are having boys on here!! i saw a lady at work yesterday she has a 12 day old, already back in her jeans full of the delights of spring and is finding it really easy being a new mum i was hoping i will feel like that but i have a feeling i will be cursing her if (and when) i dont cope that well hope you all have a good day!!

Wonderstuff · 05/03/2010 09:28

Hi all
I need some 'its all going to be fine' type reassurance today - dd woke at 4, 4.10, 5.00 then was wide awake at 6.30 - I am so bloody shattered, I sent dh in at 5, but didn't get back to sleep myself (how is it men can sleep through a child crying?) we tried having her in with us in the morning, but she was so wide awake and eventually bit me on the cheek when I tried ignoring her! Queue crying from me then her, dh is always always grumpy in the morning anyway goes on about how he hates mornings these days and just wants to lie in, when can we get rid of dd for a night so we can relax... I don't know how we are going to cope with 2? I remeber having a newborn as being easier than being pg, but I was tired.

This aftenoon we have dance class and a party and dd is shattered, I normally love going with her but really not looking forward to getting organised and getting the bus..

stac14 · 05/03/2010 09:32

morning all, sorry some of you are rushed off your feet at the moment. Hope you all have a relaxing weekend. Anyone any plans? I'm counting down the days till tuesdays scan, cant wait to see little one again. Going to friends for dinner tonight and shopping with step ds tomorrow with his birthday money.

mlic dp only felt lo on tuesday, but think its lack of patience on his part lol

emster dp had said initially that he wanted to know then he didnt want to know, so when the sonographer asked i said yes, but of course lo didnt want us to know so i'm hoping lo will show on tuesday. Would dh not give in?

spireal i have heard lots of people say good things about the icandy and lots of people have them. But have also saw a good few quinnys, pram buying is a minefield. We're having the silver cross 3d, but dp keeps looking at others, i really like the one we have picked so not changing it lol

dh is your cold any better? Wonder if the calpol nasal spray will be any good for you? The ad says its for babies so maybe it would be good for you hun

Morning all, STILL got a blocked up nose, woke up at 7 this morning breathing through my mouth I couldnt sleep it was horrible, Ive got my trusty Vicks inhaler but that doesnt always work and Ive had it a week now. grrr.

Going to my mums today to show her the scan pics .

Ive got a christening to go to on Sunday but the only trousers I have are my maternity jeans which dont really seem nice enough for a christening but I dont have anything else that fits not having a good week really.

stac14 · 05/03/2010 09:41

memphis they were amazing, you defo need the next day to relax. I'm still shattered. They did a good mix of old and new, kelly jones was gorgeous as usual lol. Where you seeing them? There was a girl in our row who was pg and anytime she stood up for a song her partner kept holding her tummy, couldnt help but laugh lol

wonder is dd ill? Do you have someone who would take her overnight so you can get a rest? You will be fine with two hun, you will establish a routine quickly hun dont worry bout it. Would dd go for a wee nap before dancing? Hope your ok x

Wonderstuff · 05/03/2010 09:42

firerise I don't know anyone with the icandy (don't think it was about when dd was tiny) but know lots of quinny's! They are nice but very bulky, so great as long as you have the space. The resale on them on ebay is pretty good as well.

Wonderstuff · 05/03/2010 09:49

stac14 she's been chewing her hand this morning so I think its teeth (when is it not) quite limited on who can take her overnight - my mum has my brothers kids every other weekend and my mil already has dd once a week while I work so I don't feel I can ask either of them - bil has offered so will try to take him up on it - but he is notoriously unreliable so not holding my breath. I'm just a bit tearful - bloomin hormones - don't want to burst into tears on anyone this afternoon and of course dd gets anxious and doesn't understand why mummy is poorly and that makes me feel awful. Really all small fry in the grand scheme of things - just need a bit of perspective - I bloomin hate being pregnant.

Chulita · 05/03/2010 10:01

wonder, I know the feeling - DD's got a temp of 103 for the 3rd day running. I have no idea what we're going to to with a newborn and a sick toddler. I feel so drained and I have no idea what I can do to make her better Thankfully DH is off today so I don't have to have her all day on my own. (and I'd love a night off, have had one night off her whole life and still had to get up to express...)
I hope the party goes well and your bil pulls through for you!

Happy Friday everyone!

stac14 · 05/03/2010 10:02

wonder i'm sure mil and bil will be more flexible in the circumstances. I'm not keen on pregnancy either, feel shattered all the time and my boys ten so can understand why your so knackered hun. Try to get a wee break. X

stac14 · 05/03/2010 11:06

memphis whats your fave song? My friends dad passed away in august last year his fave song was dakota so she was crying at that. Bartender and the thief was amazing as usual. We were laughing as baby has been to its first concert lol x
