Chulita · 02/03/2010 20:07

I just feel a bit off knocking on her door and saying "I don't care if you're 3 days overdue (or whatever she is) I want my beanbag back!" Ok, it's mine but I feel bad asking for it back Yes, I am a pushover!

Jojobil · 02/03/2010 20:11

Get your husband to do it. Or text her if you have her number. Just say "I've been having bad back aches any chance I can have my bean bag please?" Come on!

stac14 · 02/03/2010 20:19

chulita i would, its yours and she seems to be being quite rude.

dh gentle exercise is good hun, what i think they mean is little and often. Sometimes i can walk for ages without backaches but it may come on later or the next day. X

OP posts:
Chulita · 02/03/2010 20:23

I'll try and get up the courage tomorrow or I'll get DH to do it
Hope all you coldy people get better soon, I recommend glycerine if you have a sore throat but not being able to take Night Nurse absolutely sucks, and if you bf you can't either...the things we do for our lo's!

DesperateHousewife21 · 02/03/2010 20:47

Ive got a Vicks inhaler as my sore throat seems to have gone but now have a very stuffy nose.

I suppose an hour and half is quite long for a walk but it was gentle I wasnt power walking or anything! It was such a nice day yesterday I wanted to get out but dont think it'll last

Chulita · 02/03/2010 21:23

I've just popped my BirthPool in a Box in the for sale bit if anyone fancies a look. I can arrange for it to be here, with my parents or with the ILs with enough notice for easy pick up.

Don't ruin OBEM for me, I'm not watching it til DD's naptime tomorrow

Night night all, sweet dreams!

kkfairybrains · 02/03/2010 22:21

aw dh the pic is lovely! i'm suffering a lot with my back too. it gets very bad somedays and even worse when i lay on my back.that sore that id find it hard to turn over onto my side.have a docs app in the morn to see can they give me anything for these piles and also have thrush that wont clear up with cream so il mention my back too and see what she says and i'l let you know if theres anything we can be doing.
chulita the scan creeping up pretty quick isn't it! what time is yours at?

Chulita · 03/03/2010 08:02

My scan's at 10:45 which is bad timing because if it takes too long DD's going to need her nap and she'll be at a friend's so fat chance of that!
Ok, TMI question - does anyone else have a really sore fanjo? It constantly feels like I've just had a marathon sex session and it's horrible (and we haven't been at it like rabbits unfortunately...)

DesperateHousewife21 · 03/03/2010 08:40

Thanks kk, you sound like your really suffering with piles and thrush, thats really unfortunate hope it gets cleared up for you soon.

stac14 · 03/03/2010 09:42

chulita does it feel like pressure down there? I have had pain there a few times

kkfairy thats a nightmare. I had to get lactulose as it was hurting to go to the loo. They should be able to help the piles, have you tried natural yoghurt for the thrush?

Hows the cold dh? I don't think your walk was over the top, its just you need to take it easier especially if you are having pelvic and back pain hun

OP posts:
Chulita · 03/03/2010 10:31

Kind of pressured I suppose but more bruised...not nice!

stac14 · 03/03/2010 10:35

us pregnant women dont half go through the mill eh? X

OP posts:
DesperateHousewife21 · 03/03/2010 10:39

stac my cold is still here unfortunately, my nose is driving me mad, keeps blocking, then running, cant make up its mind I just wish I could breathe through it! Also just had a weird sick/breathless/faint spell, I had to sit down it was really horrid, I still dont feel 100% and ive got to drive to my sisters in a bit.

So much for glowing in the 2nd trimester, I sailed through the first, not looking forward to the 3rd now!

kkfairybrains · 03/03/2010 12:18

dh that doesnt sound nice. just relax and don't feel like you have to prove anything by going for walks or anything when your not feeling well. its the one time we really have to mind ourselves and overdoing things isn't going to make you any better.
chulita i feel like that after sex for a couple of days.maybe its because of all the extra blood going to the area that its worse than normal.if it keeps up though get it checked out its no harm.
well just back from the docs and im worried now. she didn't like the fact that the toilet bowl does have loads of blood in it and she took blood tests for haemoglobin and if i bleed from bum from now til monday i have to go back to her for her to refer me to a&e to a surgical doctor that it could be something alot more serious than just piles. really freakin here cos she stressed to please come back if any more blood and don't just pass it off(like i have been doing)! just wait and see i suppose. and for the thrush she just said theres nothing wlse they can give for that but i didnt know we were allowed to use the pessary as well as the cream so hopefully the pessary will clear it. if not will try the natural yoghurt stac. anyone for scans today? xx

viksam · 03/03/2010 13:20

Hi ladies,
Im finally caught up with everyones news. Thrush and Piles kk that sucks. Dont worry im sure they are being extra cautious. I take it the blood is from the piles, i know its different but my husband has that quite often, sometimes its like an explosion(horrid i know)
stac sooo lucky to be having another scan, i might go for a 3D one in a month or so, my sister had a hysterectomy two years ago at the age of 38 so i thik she would like to come share the experience. Anyone else thinking of doing that?
Chulita I would LOVE the baby sudocrem, how would we go about it?
I wish I had brought that Tommy tippi stuff from TKMaxx the other day but I have no where to keep it all yet I really need to clear out what will be the babys room, i should be doing that now really but instead im 'resting' today as i was at work at 5.30 yesterday morning, no fun!! I have 7 days straight after today, my DH thinks im doing too much but dont want to let anyone down so need to keep going as best i can. I am tired though. I need to go out to pick up my MATB1 form from the docs to send to my employer, then they will send me the maternity policy and dates to adhere to etc. I think I have to tell them when im going to finish by the end of the month, thats really soon and I have no idea. Due date is 15th July, is last week in June to late/to early??? I have no idea. Hope everyone is having a good week. xxx

Hi All,

Please can I join your club? Only just found MN, but am due with baby no. 2 on July 27th....have read quite a bit of this thread but not all 27 pages :-) Any other 27th-ers??
I am still waiting for a date for my 22nd week (22 weeks is standard round here) scan.

Chulita · 03/03/2010 15:24

viks, email or CAT me your address and i'll post it you if you like. Easier than dropping it off!

berberis · 03/03/2010 16:11

Hello everyone, welcome bluemonkey - I'm due on 10th July but also in an area where they do 22 weeks, not 20. It's a bit boring waiting while everyone else has theirs!

Congrats to everyone on their scans so far. Seems to be a lot of boys on here? I'm going to have a surprise I think but we'll see if I crumble in the scan room next week!

Sorry to hear about people with back problems, etc. My sister had that problem where the pelvic bone starts to split (can't remember name..?) and really hope I don't get same. A bit of backache so far...

Saw midwife yesterday, heard heartbeat at last - movements have been quite limited recently so it was really reassuring. Of course now the lo is moving like mad, now I'm relaxed about it. S/he still kicks me in middle of night when DP snores.

Someone told me I was having a boy today, because I am all out in front - like a bullet (and HUGE). Is that right? I know it's only old wives' tales, but still interested!

xxx

bluemonkey123 · 03/03/2010 16:36

Thanks berberis,
I saw midwife yesterday, seemed like a bit of a waste of time appointment to me - I heard heartbeat the week before as I'm under an obsteotrician too for heart/bp problems, so apart from the heartbeat, didn't really do anything - she didn't even ask me how I was doing?!!!
I think i am having a boy this time as this PG is so different to my DD's i.e. no heartburn, no cramp - but maybe I am just remembering it wrong and all that comes much later (it was 6 years ago )

WhatSheSaid · 03/03/2010 17:46

Welcome bluemonkey - I had heartburn really badly with my first pg and haven't had it at all this time - and it's a girl both times for me! Though I can't remember if the heartburn starts later than this (I'm 21 wks at the moment).

Viksam I had a 3D scan with dd, it was good, unfortunately overshadowed by the sonographer thinking there was a problem with dd's heart - I was rescanned at the hospital and all was well, but it kind of overshadowed all the excitement about seeing the 3D pictures!

DesperateHousewife21 · 03/03/2010 18:45

I dont feel like I have anything to prove kk I like walking esp when its sunny outside, I dont think it was the walk that made me feel funny this morning, think it was just one of those things, I hope the bleeding is nothing too serious.

The ribs just under my boobs actually feel bruised cos everything feels so squashed argh its driving me MENTAL!

Jojobil · 03/03/2010 20:04

Desperate everyone is different.. My 3 months pregnant friend just run a 3km marathon and she feels great and does not want to stop... So here you go I can walk gently quite a bit, also out of necessity, especially when my 5 year old is on the bicycle in front and I need to sprint after her But over all choose to take it easy. We all know what is right for us and will feel if we over did it.

orangefizz · 03/03/2010 20:15

Evening all,
chulita i don't have soreness, but when i squat down, there is so much pressure down there, it feels like my pelvic floor is going to fall out!!! Anyone else have this? I guess i need to do some more pelvic floor exercises!

viksam i think its difficult to know when to stop work - last time i stopped 6 weeks before which would have been too soon, but DD was born after 4 weeks nd i felt that was about right. Some people want to keep going as long as possible so as not to get bored and taking into account tht you could be 2 weeks late. I'm due July 4th and plan to stop 1 month before this time, in case LO is 2 weeks early again...

sympathies with your ailments kk

welcome bluemonkey hope everyone else is OK

beckyg123 · 03/03/2010 20:19

Woohoo! my internet is back up and running- took BT man 2 hours but we got there!

DH21 i can totally sympathise with the squashed up feeling! a few weeks ago i was so hungry yet felt so full, couldn't eat anything at all coz i felt like it had nowhere to go, everything inside just felt like it didn't fit! Then felt uncomfy sitting all the time. My bump exploded after that and now i am HUGE!!! However my insides feel like they fit again!

bluemonkey welcome to the thread

My bump feels a lot higher this week. round my hips and lower tummy feel almost back to normal where round my bellybutton sticks out a mile!

Re. the heartburn- I have been suffering from quite early on. My magic cure is refreshers sweets- they work amazingly well! 2 of my colleagues told me about them and i was a bit cinical but they work for me

I bit the bullet and had the swine flu vaccine today. Have been mulling it over for weeks but it seems to had raised its ugly head again near my work and as i work in community doing home visits i didn't want to bury my head in the sand anymore!

stac i got a call from PRM today saying they are starting up the exercise classes next week if your still interested.
