I'm not sure. It's the lighter bit between the legs. The baby basically has both legs spread, the bit is on the right thigh. The left thigh is lower then the right one... kind off underneath it and goes into the knee and foot. If that makes sense! It's easier for me as I also so it in action, when baby was moving.

Jojobil · 02/03/2010 14:33

saw it, not so it. Daaa!

Chulita · 02/03/2010 15:18

I was sure I was going to find out the gender and now I'm not so sure...I'd kind of like a surprise but I have a feeling I won't find out and then really want to know! I think I'll keep it a secret just because I really don't mind which it is

kapars · 02/03/2010 16:03

Hi ladies, Just got back from visiting my parents (in Cheshire stac) and it was lovely and very relaxing to catch up with friends and family and be all excited about the pregnancy.
Just took a while to catch up on thread - congrats on everyone who have had recent scans.
desperate I'm the same as you, have low-lying placenta and have a scan booked in for week 35 to see if it moves.
I won a maternity bundle on ebay that arrived with loads of lovely tops, jeans etc.. and almost all fit me so very happy.
Went investigating prams with my mum. My very good friend who has three kids really recommends the Bugaboo so I am thinking of getting that - but only if it really is worth the extra money but my parents are paying a large chunk of the pram so may just go for it.
Anyone else used a bugaboo?

Also anyone had heartburn? I had it for first time few days ago and apparently it's common from this stage. I had done nothing but stuff my face for five days though and I think my stomach had had enough.

violetbubbles · 02/03/2010 17:04

Hey everyone
Just checking in. Been v busy with work and house buying stuff lately so been unable to chat as much as I'd like. Hoping to catch up on the thread tonight though

Jojobil · 02/03/2010 17:13

kapars I had the Bugaboo Frog with DD and now bought the Bugaboo Bee. I would really recommend them

kkfairybrains · 02/03/2010 17:25

stac14 · 02/03/2010 17:32

kapars I cant even remember asking where you were off too, I am a nosey bugge sorry Heartburn remedies I have heard of recently are apples, pinapple (fresh) milk, toothpaste, gaviscon and a dry digestive biscuit. Tried the pinapple last night it did seem to work. I've went for the silver cross 3d oram just as its folds easily and is good for getting in and out of the pram

jojo thanks hun defo saw it that time lol

violet have you bought a house?

chulita thats the way I felt yesterday now I am already thinking lo may not want to play next week either, whens yours scan?

DesperateHousewife21 · 02/03/2010 17:51

I feel like my bump pushes everything up and is uncomfy when slouching. Hard to explain but isnt very nice.
Get backache quite regularly as well, think its only going to go downhill from here!

Cant wait to meet my little man it seems so long away still!

kkfairybrains · 02/03/2010 18:16

just had another good look at jojo scan and can definately see it! its like a grey little area just above bottom leg isn't it????

DesperateHousewife21 · 02/03/2010 18:17

Hey everyone I think the scan pic is up, can someone please tell me that my pic link is working cos I cant see it when I preview my profile.
Thanks!

stac14 · 02/03/2010 18:33

dh21 it is uncomfortable hun just be aware of how you stand, how much walking about you do and if you think you need to rest do so. The physiotherapist told me she wanted me to make sure I lie down on my bed for an hour each day, as your ligaments are softening. If you are really sore try to see the physiotherapist, they can help you, I feel quite breathless sometimes too, fo you get that? Saw your scan pic hes a cutie, it is a much clearer pic than mine but think my lo is pretending to be shy lol

OP posts:
DesperateHousewife21 · 02/03/2010 18:46

stac it seems to be when im sitting down cos it squashes everything up as I naturally have a long torso so when im standing it doesnt affect me really.
I dont get breathless, prob got that to come though! Its just the squashing and backache really. Suppose a growing baby/womb is bound to push things around it just feels uncomfy, it it gets unbearable ill see my gp and see what she can do.
Thanks, she gave me 8 pics! Ive put up the best one, we've got ones of his leg, arm, foot, spine etc. This was the clearest one of his whole body.

stac14 · 02/03/2010 18:49

we only got 2 pics, both the same. i will get another couple next week. I was saying to dp yesterday we will need a photo album for the pics before lo is born lol. Do you get backache a lot? You may not get breathlessness, but remember baby and womb still have lots of growing to do so take care of yourself xx

OP posts:
Jojobil · 02/03/2010 18:49

Yes kkfairy it is

Nice picture Desperate!

DesperateHousewife21 · 02/03/2010 18:56

Yeah stac we will need a photo album too! I wish I could see LO again, well I suppose I am at 36 weeks lol, god he'll have changed so much!
I get backache quite regularly yes, I dont think its my posture as I get it when sitting, laying, walking etc I think its where I keep stretching it to take the pressure off my front. As I said if things get ridiculous ill go to my gp, and yeah your right Ive still got a lot more growing to do Im hoping it doesnt get too bad though.

Thanks jojo im really pleased with all the pics

Emster30 · 02/03/2010 19:27

Lovely pictures dh21 - and congratulations on having a boy!

Chulita · 02/03/2010 19:33

Our scan's on Wednesday like kkfairy Still can't stand the fact that we won't see anything of our little one after that til 42 weeks (thinking pessimistically)
dh, I have constant backache and it's horrible. It got worse later on with DD too so not looking forward to this I have got one of these from last time but I lent it to a neighbour I don't really know who's due soon but I really want it back, it does help with backache! (I lent it to her thinking she was nice and she hasn't spoken to me since...don't know if it's cos she's not nice or cos she's due and just doesn't want to talk to anyone!)

stac14 · 02/03/2010 19:34

dh didnt mean your posture was causing the backache, i was advised to watch my posture while sitting as its meant to relieve strain on the ligaments. Your right to see gp if its worsens. I get it the same as you, i have been diagnosed with sdp, glaston knows a lot about it as she's had it before x

DesperateHousewife21 · 02/03/2010 19:48

Thanks em Im really happy

chulita My DP's dad+partner got me a dream Genii from Mothercare, I havent tried it yet but think I will give it a go soon as starting to have trouble sleeping already, I think atm its because Ive got a cold so finding it hard to breath lying down.

stac I dont think any one thing is causing the backache, think its just the general strain of everything going on.
I went for a walk yesterday for an hour and half and my back was fine the whole time, I think I might need to do some more gentle exercise cos tbh I dont do all that much atm, mainly due to bad weather (no excuse I know!)

Jojobil · 02/03/2010 19:51

True my yoga teacher advises to keep straight and stretch ;) And it does help. Lots of walking and effort is not good.

Chulita just get it back! You are pregnant and you should be your priority!

DesperateHousewife21 · 02/03/2010 19:58

I thought gentle walking was supposed to be good for you?

Jojobil · 02/03/2010 20:00

Yes gentle
