stac you are keeping me on tenterhooks here! Its been hours since your scan, how did it go??

hi ladies, busy day. How are you all? Well scan went great but baby wasn't showing its bits. She did say there were no obvious signs its a boy but couldnt say for sure its a girl lol. I have to go back next tuesday so she can take the heart and spine measurements, she said they are fine, just baby was sitting in an awkward position to get them. So hopefully will know next week. Havent read all the posts yet so will post soon. So relieved lo is fine x

Does anyone else has enough of people telling you what sex the baby is going to be according to your belly shape etc...? This girl at school said to me "I think it's a girl" today and got me all paranoid, that it's not 100% sure and I got all those little boys clothes and it will be a girl. Although with my DD everyone was coming up and saying "it's a boy". SO annoying! And the touching of the belly. I have not had anyone do that this time round yet, but with DD I found it awful. I am not looking forward to it. Why do people think it's ok to touch you??? Argh.

Yes dh21 will get it on so you can see lol I know I am lucky to get another look, was just a bit disappointed that they couldnt tell us lol

congrats on scan betty think my lo was acting the same as yours on your first scan, so I have another weeks wait to see what we are having. I understand you being a bit disappointed, I had said the same to dp before we went today as we were talking about it and he said as long as its healthy I should be happy and of course I will be but like you this is the only other baby I will have. anyway hope your ok

I had 3rd degree stitching with ds due to him being 10lb 6, i had a ventouse delivery and on the way out his shoulder ripped me. My scarring is pretty bad but my midwife hasnt mentioned a c-section, maybe I should mention the scarring downstairs xxx

Yeah stac Ill be really frustrated tomorrow if they cant tell me the sex im dying to know as you prob are too!
The main thing is that your LO is healthy though hope I can say the same thing, fingers crossed.

jojo, people can't tell by your bump shape, ignore them. No one touched my bump when I was pg last time but if anyone does this time I'll ask them not to - how rude! Not like we go round rubbing beer bellies

Ok so has anyone not booked up any antenatal classes on the nhs yet? For some reason I just havent got round to doing it and im now 20 weeks and a little worried I wont get a place, Im so clueless about all this I dont even know how to go about enquiring I havent been given any info about classes by my mw so I have no numbers/websites to find info out.

dh, I didn't get offered a place til I was 39 wks last time so I'm not rushing. She kept saying 'when you're close to you EDD'..., yea...oh, and I asked very early on! Not going to bother with this one, just want a tour Try googling the maternity unit at the hospital you're planning to go to, the number should be online and you can phone them direct.

congrats betty on your scan, chulita as soon as we came out of our scan my fella said saves me on a wedding so your comment made me laugh! jojobil the tummy rub thing drives me mad i went for lunch with a friend and while talking to her she unbuttoned my coat and rubbed my tum i was so angry! it shocks me when people do this and also when strangers rubber neck into the pushchair and touch new babies! i suppose we all have it to look forward too! stac at least you get another scanand everything else is fine, talking of ante natel ive heard my local one is really bad does anyone know if i can go to one out of the area?
