Can I please join ladies? I'm due 8th July #2 had 20 week scan last week and all looking as it should, looking forward to the rain going and the sun arriving!!

Just watching 'one born every minute' on catch up tv, but my step son just walked in with a look of horror on his face and asked very politely if there was anything else on. I conceded turned it over, I think to save myself from crying, blooming hormones!!

Hope you are well and having a happy Wednesday.

DesperateHousewife21 · 24/02/2010 19:40

stac yeah my day was good, I went to see my friend and we went into town and I got my bounty pack from Boots. Dont really have anything planned for tomorrow, prob do some housework, fun fun!

spidershavearrived · 24/02/2010 20:21

Thanks for the welcome! Will work my way through the thread although think it will take me a couple of days!

Glad I'm here! I'm doing well thanks, found the first 16/17 weeks a little bit of struggle, felt nauseous almost 24 hours a day and having to be 'normal' for my ds (what ever normal may be ), I was very relieved when the energy returned and goodness do I need it!!

stac14 - the partner was a nightmare but I guess it was the stress of the situation, me though, when he offered to leave would have told him to get out and not come back - think that's called cutting your nose off to spite your face though....

stac14 · 24/02/2010 20:22

i got mine the other day too loving the samples, can't believe the size of the nappy lol. I have the dentist tomorrow, but the snow hasnt stopped all day so who knows other than that lol x

Evening Chaotic, my DSis 16 mths, he has a wonderful personality is an absolute joy and at the mo thinks he has to climb on everything he comes into contact with, whatever it may be, I'm soon to be all over grey and perhaps rocking in the corner with my eyes covered !!

For you second time moms who have younger toddlers, have you decided on which pushchair you will go for - I'm not sure about the double decker affairs?

stac14 · 24/02/2010 21:17

mlic I got the first one from the midwife and it had a slip to go pick up the mum to be pack, which had a pampers pack in it with a nappy and a small pack of wipes, the tiny sudocream, either persil or fairy and a sachet of ovaltine. but the nappy seemed tiny, think it may be because ds was never in new born nappies due to his size and they are far more compact than 11 years ago lol. Hope ds is better soon hun you must be knackered. That is a nightmare about mw, have you had 20 week scan? I have such nappy brain lol xxx

So sorry to hear about that pain Glasto, sounds horrendous. A friend on another forum was bedbound for much of her first pregnancy with SPD but is now 31 weeks with her second and has been doing/having Bowen technique (don't know more than that about it!) and is having a much better time of it now.

I want to watch One Born Every Minute on watch again, but DH is in the room next door with our prospective parliamentary candidate who he is doing some speechwriting for, and I don't think the moans and groans would be a suitable backdrop!

viksam · 24/02/2010 22:03

Hi Ladies,
Had my scan this morning. All is well and 'normal' my sonographer wasnt the most friendly but she did what she had to do. We saw the baby move a lot and yawn which was so sweet. The pics arnt to good but im happy with what we saw and happy that all looked well. I think my baby is fab, much better than 'normal'!! I suppose its difficult for the sonographers they see this stuff every day, funny how some people make u feel very special and individual and others, well its just their day job. Hey ho never mind. glasto Im so sorry ur in so much pain, its just rubbish for u, let us know how ur appointement goes.
Welcome spider Hope ur doing ok. Right im off to bed im absolutly knackered, think its the emotional stress of todays scan! x

DesperateHousewife21 · 25/02/2010 15:14

Emster30 · 25/02/2010 19:05

evening all, welcome Memphis!

What a grim wet evening, I've got to go out again in a minute for a choir committee meeting, and I can't even drive as DH needs the car this evening. It would be v lazy though as the meeting is less than 10 minutes' walk away! It is a quiet, dark walk back though so might get someone to give me a lift if the meeting goes on past 10.30 or so (which it usually does).

Wonderstuff · 25/02/2010 19:05

Hi all, been away from mn for a few days and it's taken ages to catch up!

Having a rubbish time, got a stinking cold, took Tues of work which felt really lame for a cold, but I lost my voice and have so little energy - went in on Weds, but regretting having done that, the kids I really wanted to see were all off, I upset one of our ASD kids with my 'stupid voice' and generally didn't do anything particullarly useful. Today is a SAHM day and I was counting down till dh got home, so shattered I drifted off while she was playing playdoh (never a good idea) bad cough + sneezing + weak pelvic floor = really fecking annoying [grumpy]

Did feel the first really strong kick in the bath yesterday, have had flutterings for a while but this one I could see! Which did make me laugh.

Glad to hear everyones scans are going well, mine is on Tuesday which is cool.

Could not believe that bloke on OBEM! All about him wasn't it. I thought he was quite nasty.

My angel dh has just done tea (and all the washing up I couldn't face today)

DesperateHousewife21 · 25/02/2010 19:32

kk yeah I will find out the sex ill let you all know when we're back from hosp, Ive got so many people in RL to tell, all my family and friends I hope I dont leave anyone out!

stac that dinner sounds nice, I had sausage, egg and chips but couldnt eat it all.

kkfairybrains · 25/02/2010 20:08

well we'r the most important dh and we wont let you forget to tell us!
sorry to hear you're feeling crap wonder
