OMG is anyone watching one born every min?? What a **head that womans husband is! I missed the beginning so dont know her full store but it seems that she had a cesarian and now wants a natural birth, and hes just been horrid to her. I do hope my DH is nicer than him.
Havent caught up on everyones news yet, will do now!
Trying to put my scan out of my mind at the moment, bring on tomorrow morning, cant wait to get it over with.

Chulita · 23/02/2010 22:00

Ack! stac - I'm tempted just to wait and see if it gets any worse, it's a long way to any physio from here and I wouldn't know what to do with DD...let's hope it's just a passing thing [fingers crossed emoticon]

good night all, I'll catch up with 'one born' tomorrow while I'm waiting for someone to come and scrap our car...

stac14 · 23/02/2010 22:08

viksam I havent watched it yet but my friend mailed me and said he was a prat lol got it on sky + so going to watch it later and show dp how not to act lol

chulita your quite right, I am struggling with the advice the physio gave me too cos she wants me to have loads of rest which i cant do especially as I said with a house to run lol

DesperateHousewife21 · 23/02/2010 22:17

Felt lo kick while watching one born every min which was great, always seems to wriggle alot while watching anything about giving birth lol.

I'm lying in bed atm I've just cleaned my teeth and discovered I have bleeding gums, what a lovely surprise. Better book an app at dentist sharpish!

Emster30 · 23/02/2010 22:23

Hello all, have a cat on my lap so can't type much! congrats on scans. we are not finding out sex, but my scan not till 12 mar.

stac14 · 23/02/2010 22:28

Emster30 · 23/02/2010 22:31

You can buy Corsodyl, no need for a prescription.

Cat and baby were kicking each other - how odd!

WickedWitchSouthWest · 23/02/2010 22:40

Hello ladies!

Sorry for extended absence, actual real life got in the way of my internet time

I've tried to do a catch up but hope everyone is well? I guess there's some more 20 wk scans to go?

Mine was fine ended up having to go away for half an hour and try again coz beanie wasn't having a bar of staying still to have a heart check! Went and had lunch and baby stopped jumping about and his/her heart is perfect. A boy then?! Won't behave unless fed lol.

Getting loads of kicks now and love it - finally put back on the weight I lost in the first 14 weeks too. Hope everyone who had bad ms is ok now?

Promise to be here more often!

stac14 · 24/02/2010 09:29

Morning all, its bloody snowing again and ds is loaded with the cold so we are having a duvet day, yay lol. Good to see you back wwsw glad your scan went well, did you not want to know the sex? I think my lo will hide so i want get to find out lol. How have you been? Whats everyone else up to today? X

OP posts:
Chulita · 24/02/2010 09:34

stac you need to live where we do, our 'village' hasn't had a flake of snow all winter!
I've got to wait in for the courier who could come anytime between 8am and 7pm what a waste of a day! Hopefully they'll be here early. Might make brownies and google a good chicken casserole recipe - sigh the life of a housewife!

Jojobil · 24/02/2010 10:18

Boring here - I've done all the invoices this morning Brightbook is really good and free for accounts, so I am all done. My dear hubby took our DD to school this morning so could finish it all of.
I have had no one listen to baby's heartbeat yet. But everything was good at the 20 week scan. My next appointment now is on the 19th of March and am 21 weeks pregnant now. This lady came up to me on the street yesterday and said "You have a couple of months to go?" and I was like no... I am only half way through... Oh well I did put on a stone and a half and I do have a very good appetite! Also have those pains in my right bum. Yoga teacher said it's the ligaments and I should not walk up the hill... I live up one, which is not helpful! But all good apart from that

How are you all?

GlastonburyGoddess · 24/02/2010 11:24

well had a terrible evening last night, took 4 codeiene and cried myself to sleep as The pain was not subsiding physio appt is on the 4th so am going to have to ask for crutches methinks and see if that helps at all. getting very peed off at having to explain myself to everybody and really should start using the motorchairs at morrisons that they provide, but Im too embarassed, I feel enough of a plum already
sorry, will have to take meself off to the spd sofa instead of keep moaning at you guys.

On a happier note, I wone some maternity tops off ebay, 2 from next, one from h&m and one from dorothy perkins for £5, they arrived just now, they fit and theyre lovely, so v pleased with that!

Chulita · 24/02/2010 11:50

GGoddess, sorry it's so bad I hope someone can sort something out for you, that sounds horrible!

beckyg123 · 24/02/2010 13:01

Yeh! Lunchtime- i can eat again!!!
Got one hell of an appetite at the moment

Glaston don't be too embarrased to use the scooters in supermarket- thats why they are there! Sorry to hear its so bad- hopefully crutches will help- in the mean time look after yourself!

jojobil i'm the same- bump is huge, people all excited saying it can't be long now are shocked when i say i'm only halfway! oh well!

stac enjoy your duvet day! its a perfect day for it- the snow just isn't showing any sign of stopping! hope DS is better soon.

WWSW good to hear from you- was wondering where you got too!!! Glad to hear LO is doing well- Hope your ok otherwise

chulita seriously! no snow at all??? very jealous! i normally love snow but its not the same when you can't go sledging!

stac14 · 24/02/2010 13:29

glaston sorry your going through such a bad time at the moment hun, is there nothing they can do for you?

jojo tell them to bugger off, your bump will be as big as it needs to be

becky the snow is a pain in the ass and your right it doesnt seem to be stopping, feel kind of guilty having a duvet day especially as at work in this how are you? I have a huge appetite at the moment too lol

chulita defo jealous of the lack of snow, think Scotland is going to be snowed in again nightmare

DS is feeling a little better probably enjoying his ps3 more than he usually does lol glad I kept him at home though as he would have went to play in this at school and made himself worse xx

WickedWitchSouthWest · 24/02/2010 13:47

glasto ouch ouch ouch A friend of mine had awful spd but swore by having a chiropracter look at it to free things up a bit. Personally I'd prefer an ostopath coz they're a little more holistic, but if it works!

chulita I've bought a sledge now to make sure we don't get any more snow! Bloody stuff!!! The first day of it is fine but after a week it got really boring!

jo I'm getting the same sort of comments! The cheek of it! With my dd I kept having ppl looking shocked for the opposite reason and then insinuate I wasn't looking after myself properly! Damned if you do....etc etc...

stac dd is on the wii as I type

Right, I'm off to buy paint for the nursery coz we're doing it this weekend, just got rid of the futon that's in there at the mo on freecycle and managed to find some curtains yesterday., Being v organised

Hope everyone is enjoying lunch!!

Chulita · 24/02/2010 13:50

Yep, not even a hint of snow. I was jealous over the holidays when they showed a satellite image of the UK and the only green patch was where we lived.
I just watched 'one born every minute'...eek! Maybe I shouldn't anymore...I want a labour like that serene water birth, not stirrups/forceps/ventouse/head clip etc. Kept welling up as well, freaking hormones!

beckyg123 · 24/02/2010 13:51

Hey stac i'm fine thanks- seem to have gotten over my low mood and feeling much more positive! How about you? Your back any better today?

I'm off work tomorrow so planning a duvet day myself! Need to do some reading for an essay due at end of march- so will make a start to that.
I've decided to use annual leave to do some 4 day weeks over next while and planning to finish up about 6 weeks before EDD- just didn't imagine i would feel this tired!

beckyg123 · 24/02/2010 13:55

chulita i watched it last night and cried loads! Yep- freaking hormones
It was the girl with the baby needing the opp- when she couldn't hold him in the beginning i was sobbing away!

stac14 · 24/02/2010 16:15

kkfairy sounds like you have had a lovely day of, dp should be off next week so getting to spend some much needed time together, not always easy with the kids about

becky what part of the council do you work in? I used to work in Social Work Training and have a friend who work is the homeless sector but she is on mat leave at the moment and another friend who works in community service lol You will enjoy your duvet day, I have loads of munchies and if it wasnt for the dog I would have bothered to get dressed at all lol

tsc fab news about the scan hun, did you ask mw about the discharge? did you get pics?

wwsw we have the wii but it went redundant when I stopped using the wii fit, must ask the physio if that would help my pelvis.

chulita I havent watched it yet but plan on making dp sit through it since I was told its more likely to be a natural birth lol
