...now the "Crazy Baby Ladies"!

Had the idea to start this thread because, after getting my BFP on Monday, it suddenly dawned on me that I was going to lose contact with a lot of lovely people. I feel sad every time anyone leaves (though obviously happy for you that you've got your BFP) and thought this might be a nice idea, so that we can continue to keep in touch. After all, we've been through a lot together, haven't we?!

Also, I felt a bit out of my depth on the other threads, where it seemed like most of the members had already had children. There didn't seem to be a "first-timers" thread on here. (Unless I missed it!)

So here goes!

Hi Spireal,

Sorry, I missed your post there. That's terrible about your cold... Mad about yout colleague though! I'd feel like such a wimp if I were her! But as you say, you can hold your head up high!

How wonderful about the scan! Finding out the gender too! What are you hoping for? What about DH? DH and I don't mind really, but his slight preference is a boy, mine a girl. MIL would prefer a girl because she had all boys herself, and I think my mum's hoping for a girl for my sake, cause her and I are so close... But she won't actually come out and say it! What about your family? Do they care either way?

That's so nice that you plan to share the gender with us. I'll definitely check back later, even if I amn't able to post (at work) but I'll be dying to know! So far it's three girls and a boy for us...

OP posts:
Spirael · 04/03/2010 11:43

I have a slight preference for a boy first, for no good reason other than tradition for both mine and DH's families in the recent generation is to start with a girl...and I'm contrary.

Though I also have a mild pink princess phobia, if it turns out to be a girl. Would be keeping my fingers crossed for a tomboy rather than a girly-girl. But I'll cope if necessary. LO would be out of luck if they wanted to steal my makeup/clothes though... My makeup is warpaint and I pride myself on being unfashionable! I love the colourful oversized jumpers my mum and grandma have knitted me.

DH on the other hand would prefer a daughter, though his reasoning is that he gets off the hook for the main part of toilet training and also 'the chat' when it gets to teenage years if he has only daughters! I think secretly too he'd really like a little daddy's girl daughter.

Recently though he's been contemplating that a boy might be easier in the short term - purely because it solves his problem choosing between two friends of his for the godfather! We've decided the LO will have three godparents, two of the same gender and one of the opposite. I'm choosing the godmother(s) and DH is choosing the godfather(s).

So yes, none of our gender preference reasons are particularly founded on anything serious! Either gender will be fine. Just hope that LO is healthy! ... And likes the jungle, because everything I've bought so far is jungle themed.

Morning everyone.

Massive congrate to pidgin welcome to the thread !! Dont worry my MS didnt kick in until 6 weeks pregnant so make the most of it. When it does hit u will have no energy. U might be one of the lucky ones who dont suffer my friend didnt she had no sickness at all. Its normal to feel worried but please dont as Ive worried all the way through and she has been fine . Always ask us though if u feel worried about anyhting because we have all experienced different things throughout the pregnancy which is really good for the new mummys to get advice.

addie-Thank you for the advice hun!! Im very self consious about that kinda thing as well so ive already told my OH I dont want int the bed with us especially if we feel tired. Ive read alot of horror stories so will defo be alert.

fudge- Ive got cream for the sores!! I always feel her down my left side so its very heavy on that part on my back and side got loads of pillows now which does help!!
He said people suffer in different ways during pregnancy and now your baby is putting all her weight on she will start to feel extreamly heavy. Ive noticed by her movements aswell!! My OH said he could feel her last night through my skin he look so happy and prund made me feel so good. Gave her a kiss as well which he does not normally do. I think now she is making herself more known he is starting to feel more like daddy !!

Awww your going to wait for the suprise. I always had a gut feeling I was having a girl but if I didnt know I would say now it was a boy because of the way in which I am carrying low and all upfront. We couldnt wait it was my OH the most that wanted to find out but deep down I wanted to know as well as I wanted to buy clothes!!

chance - What a lovely name u have chosen couldnt of picked a better name myself lol . How strange weve loved lily though since I found out I was pregnant. Its was the boys names we were stuck on tbh. She was going to be Harry though if she was a boy. I just have a feeling im prob wrong though!! Will u find out?
Aww its so nice the first midwife appointment your be able to hear the baby's heart beat now everytime u go they are always checking hers and I can hear it as well. My mum always crys lol!! Ive got mine on Monday my 28 week appointmnet but theve gotta take blood I hate it.

Aww the sickness has kicked in lol!! I had no sickness until I was 6 weeks then OMG did not stop. All worth it though even though it is a struggle.

Did u know as well that we get £190 from the government when we reach 25 weeks so dont forget to ask the midwife for a form as she has them and she has to stamp them. Still got to get my Matb1 form I was unwell on my 25 week check up so I didnt attened now im well behind.

ozzie-Will u find out? My gut feeling is prob wrong but makes it more fun for me waiting for u guys to find out. !! My Oh side is all girls apart from 2 and my dads side are all boys so I didnt know but apprantly its daddy who decides the sex so was not surpised we were having a girl after he has 7 girl cousins and a sister.
I would love a little boy next time though.

des - I was in maternity clothes by 16 weeks as well lol very sexy!!
I hope your feeling better your your organs are being pushed in places u cant even imagin now lol!! And he will be near your ribs as well making it hard for you to breath causing the faint spells. hope its getting better.

york - Mine was at 8 weeks but only because I pushed it otherwise it was going to be at 11 weeks. If you want it sooner ask them im sure they will change it for u if u ask. But it is normal for midwives to leave the appointments till near the first scans. It wont sink in for ages lol!! Such a lovely feeling though. My doctor was not excited for me at all nor were the recpetionist so I went out feeling right who can I tell now lol.

her- That numnber plate is horrible imagine what the person is like driving it lol!! Im glad your having a better week so lucky to get a few days rest I cant wait now until I can rest ! Really need it.

white- heya hun was so excited about your scan. Did u see the bubba in full was was the LO moving around loads like Lily did? lol they couldnt get my EDD right as she wouldnt stay still lol!!
U should be comming out of your yucky stage now and into your glowing stage at 12 weeks youve hit your second trimester such a relife. !!

Awww des - Lily waved as well I got all emotional so did everyone lol. The she stuck her finger up though lol dunno what that was all about gave us a shock, she done loads of things back flip and we see her feet we could see her mouth moving as wel. Amazing what u can see on your second scan.

Pidgin · 04/03/2010 12:23

Thanks for the welcomes everyone and for reassuring words about lack of symptoms - I think I should be grateful and stop worrying! Nice to hear you also didn't have major symptoms, desperatehousewife and ozzie, although it sounds as though I could be in for a shock next week - Roses a few people have told me MS started in week 6, so I won't get too hopeful about not getting it yet!

It was lovely seeing the GP yesterday and actually telling someone! She gave me a massive smile and congratulations, and it was really nice to share the news. She was very reassuring too.

fulhamgirl I just welled up a little at being described as a 'new mummy' in your post! (so maybe being a bit overemotional counts as a symptom...) The scan sounds lovely, it must be so exciting to see the baby move.

Look forward to hearing about your scan too spirael - I laughed at the everything-jungle-themed thing - much better than pink princesses IMO!

WhiteRoses · 04/03/2010 13:18

Well, Spireal - good luck and I'll be thinking of you... You're probably on your way now!

Fullham - how sweet about your DH!

Is anyone else thinking about getting/has anybody else gotten a doppler so they can listen to their baby's heartbeat at home? I thought they'd be expensive/a waste of money, but I was talking to two women about them when I was in hospital, and they both swore by the same brand, which was only around £20. So now I'm very tempted!

No, my baby wasn't too active... I had to wiggle my hips to get him/her to wake up. Which he/she did for a bit, but then quite quickly went back to sleep! Lol! It was really good seeing how my movement affects the baby though!

Pidgin - lol at you welling up at "new mummy"!

OP posts:
WhiteRoses · 04/03/2010 13:19

Oh, and I'm delighted about your GP, Pidgin - seems so hit and miss at times.

OP posts:
Hermya321 · 04/03/2010 14:08

Shhhhhhh!!!! Don't tell my tummy, I'm eating soup.

You'll be glad to hear that last night I developed another lovely new pregnancy sympton. Oh yes, thats right, heart burn. For any of you that are suffering from it, I feel your pain.

I've been out today and bought some gaviscon but the shops were out of those sea band things. I don't know, maybe there was a rush on them or summat. So I'm going to order some off of the internet.

I was up at 5am this morning worrying about my cars MOT, this was fueled by dreams of trying to work out the logistics of putting a car seat into my car. I'm so boring.

I went swimming again today and low and behold one of the old guys was there from last week. He kept staring at me, it made me feel so uncomfortable I kept trying to put the entire pool between us. I don't know if I offended him or if I've now got a pervy pool stalker. Personally I'd rather have the latter rather than the former. I did manage a good 15 minutes of swimming before I felt the need to stop so I am improving a little. Worst thing was though that I weighed myself at the pool and since last week I've lost three pounds. Now I'm a bit of a skinny rake anyway so I don't really have that much to loose so I'm a little bit worried now. I've got my booking appointment tomorrow so I'll mention it to the midwife then.

On the upside, I spoke to my MIL today. Apparently she's already been baby shopping. I had to laugh, she couldn't stop herself. Bless her!!!

White Thats such good news about your scan, I'm glad you had fun seeing your active LO. I'm also glad to hear that those sea bands are helping you out, hopefully no more sickness related hospital visits for you. I have wondered about the doplars, have you looked on ebay you might be able to pick up a bargin on there.

Spireal I bet you can't wait to see Gadget, I'm up and down if I would tell people what it is. TBH I think I would only tell imediate family and tell everyone else that the baby was shy or that we didn't want to know. I have a couple of friends on facebook right from when they could tell what sex it was told the whole world and it takes some of the guessing out of it doesn't it. So I think I'll be going down your route. I hope you're feeling better though. I'm also with you on the whole princess thing, the whole fluffy pink thing does my nut in. If I had a girl, I wouldn't be buying pink stuff. I'm loving the jungle themed stuff as well, have you seen the zooby range by boots. Sounds like it would right up your street. The moses basket in that range is lovely.

Chance Dylan is a lovely name!!

Fulham Well only a few weeks to go and you can start sofa surfing and getting yourself organised for the arrival of lovely Lily.

Pidgin All my symptons kicked in this week, I wouldn't worry too much at first. Just keep positive, I mean half the battle is won already as you've managed to get pregnant. The rest will sort itself out in time. But you are a new Mummy, enjoy it. Also can I come and visit your GP, she sounds well lush!

Hermya321 · 04/03/2010 14:09

Sorry re the pervy pool stalker, I meant I'd rather have offended him than have him eying me up everytime I took a swim. I blame the hormones, I've lost the ability to type.

fulhamgirl · 04/03/2010 15:05

sprial-so sorry huni I missed your post earlier. Lol at the jungle theme. We held off buying clothes until we found out her gender. Sorry when did u say your scan was again for some reason that post is comming up in really strange letters lol .
I bet u cant wait I think your be having a little girl !! Cant wait to find out. Have you thought of any names yet? The second scan is amazing trust me get the tissues out lol!!

pidgin-awww defo emotional lol. U should of seen me when bradders died in Eastenders I was completly devistated. My OH thought it was so funny I was sobbing at it!! I cry at anything he has only gotta wind me up in the smallest way and I cry and shout at him and he has only prob left the toilet seat up or something . U are a new mummy now!! ;) even if the bubba has not arrived u are still looking after the baby in your care so your a mummy. Thats what I said to OH I want some flowers on mothers day as I have been looking after her for months and ive done a very good job of it as well !!
He said he was going to get me some Lily's so he has thought about it as well so sweet. He is being overly nice and it scares me lol.

white - LMAO at you wiggling your hips haha!!! !! She faced us on the first scan and she looked so schocked as if to say wht do you think you are doing I dont want you to all stare at me haha was the funniest thing ever!! And then the second was im going to show off now kinda thing!! Very gratful she let us see what she was as I know some babies like to keep their legs closed just to make it akward .

her- I knew what u meant lol although if he wernt old and grumpy would u still mean that lol!!.. Your so good with the swimming my mum is going to make me go with her when I leave this place im not to good being cold getting in and out such a wimp.
Never had heartburn u c how people can suffer so differently! And im glad ive had it once when I wasnt pregnant and it was the most painful thing ever so I do feel for you !!
lol at your dream u do have really realistic bizzare dreams when your pregnant ive been screaming in my sleep and I know im doing it and can remeber the dreams as well. My OH has woken me up very quickly (as dangeours as that is as I keep telling him) but he said I scare him.

I also had this lovely dream in which my nan was in who I loved soooooo much but lost when I was 14 so 10 years ago now. I was being wheeled away to like this secreat garden and I was in my clothes I atually have like the top and jeans I was wearing I atually own then!! And my mum was their she went first and I wanted to go and then I got pushed into this other garden and their was my nan and she rubbed my tummy and said aww she is going to be beautiful and thats before I found out I was having a girl so strange. Ive never dreamed of my nan before so I know Lily is going to be well protected now.

Wohooo 20 more working days until I can eat chcoolate and watch gavin and stacey's boxset. Gotta try and think of excuess for the swimming though

xxxxxxx

DesperateHousewife21 · 04/03/2010 15:15

fulham thanks for asking how I am, Im feeling better today, Ive prob eaten about the same amount but it doesnt feel like its pushing into my ribs, maybe it depends on how the baby is lying too?

roses its amazing what has developed by 12 weeks isnt it? I was like that too, counting down the weeks til the 20 weeks scan, now im counting down til I get my other scan at around 36 weeks, although will also be nervous in case the placenta hasnt moved up enough.

Everyone think moving thoughts for my placenta!

fulhamgirl · 04/03/2010 15:34

DES-Honestly they do scare u ive been scared so many times my doctors and midwives. Her dates keep changing, she is to big etc etc. Turns out everything is how it was in the begining so shouldnt let it worry you. My poor work college they found a dark shadow on her babies heart. She had to wait 3 weeks until her next scan and she was so worried. Anyway she texted me as soon as the scan was over as I was worried for her as well and everything was fine they said it was a shadow from the scanner so all that worry and then the midwife was sayig she is really small and she was born 3 weeks early and a healthy 6lbs so you see they will scare u but 9 times outta 10 its nothing. SO enjoy your pregnancy hun as much as u can.
Yes defo she moves everywhere one minute she will be lying on my bladder for hours then I feel her really heavily up by my ribs then I feel her always at night down my left side so I supose its where ever they feel comfortable however uncomfortbale it is for mummy lol.

Spirael · 04/03/2010 17:22

Hi all, I'm baaaack~! Had an exciting afternoon at LGI... Being scanned, being ordered to walk down to the entrance and eat chocolate (I've never been ordered to eat chocolate by the medical profession before ) and then scanned again, since LO was insisting on squatting down inside my pelvis!

They got some nice pictures though in the end, much nicer than the pictures at the 12 (13...) week scan. I've posted the two we acquired up on my profile. Yes, they did find out the gender and yes, we do know. [Looks around cautiously and pulls the curtains closed.] The sonographer was positive as she could be, and to be honest DH and I were pretty convinced by the images too, that Gadget is, in fact, a girl! Now shhh...

DH is, of course, thrilled. I'm pretty thrilled too, to be honest! All the measurements were fine and everything was exactly where it was meant to be. Only slight quirk was that Gadget has slightly longer than average legs... Given that DH is 6 foot tall, I think I can see who Gadget's taking after already!

My placenta is apparently exactly in the middle at the front, which explains why I haven't been feeling as many kicks as some people, and why all the kicks I've been feeling have been low down. Given how Gadget was kicking the snot out of the sonographer's wand and squirming all over the place, I get the feeling I'm in for a world of torment as soon as Gadget's big enough that the cushioning makes no difference. It was like that at the last scan too... Energetic LO!

Anyway, I didn't bother getting a doppler, WhiteRoses. I considered it, but ultimately reached the decision it would only cause me more worry in the end, when I couldn't find the heartbeat for whatever reason. I figured it would only be another month or so until I was feeling movement, and after that time the kicks in my kidneys would reassure me that LO is ok.

I've seen some of the Zooby range, Hermya. It's cute! I've fallen in love with the My Jungle Family range though at Mothercare. That's where I've got the moses basket and changing mat from. I'm just going for plain sheets and blankets though for the most part, rather than spending extra money on patterns. Got some pretty jungle wall stickers though for when we decorate the nursery! Will take pics when it's complete, probaby early May.

Hope everyone else is having a reasonable day! I'm going to go celebrate now with some Appletizer and some nice chocolates that I acquired on the sonographer's orders. [grins]

Hermya321 · 04/03/2010 17:40

Spirael Yay!! I'm so excited for you!!

pixiestix · 04/03/2010 19:14

Awwww Gadget's a girl! Fantastic!! I bet you feel on top of the world Spirael . The piccies are great too - so much better than that NHS one you got at 12 weeks. Loving that you were commanded to eat chocolate - thats my kind of doctors appointment!

We are very girl heavy now on this thread - Hermya you better be having the boy that you want, lol! Otherwise Dylan will be feeling lonely!

OMG Desp - I'm ROFL at "Everyone think moving thoughts for my placenta!" - only on Mumsnet could you read something like that! Moooooooooooooove!!

Ful - your dream about your nan was lovely, I love hearing things like that. How cool to know that she is looking after Lily and you.

Hermya - yuck at that skanky old man still checking you out. You will have to saunter past him next time and do something really nasty - hack up some phlegm or do a big fart! That'll teach him..
I haven't seen the Zooby range yet but was looking at a Zanzibar set in a baby shop the other day and it was gorgeous! Don't know who makes it but it was really lovely. We are all going jungle mad!

I got my 12 week scan date today - the 19th March. I am really pleased but simultaneously totally shitting myself about it. It said with the letter that 2% of women who go for the scan find that their baby has died I am just crossing everything that our little bean will be ok.
Went to the doctors for a check-up on Friday and everything was looking good with me. I am obviously the fat cow of the Graduates thread as all of you lot are losing weight, but I was really pleased that I was weighed and was the same as my pre-preg weight at 9 weeks. Doesn't sound that exciting but I am overweight to begin with so the longer I can keep from piling it on, the better it is for me and babes. My blood pressure was that of someone of perfect weight aswell so I came out feeling very virtuous!! Still feeling sick as a dog, but I am starting to be a little less scared and am enjoying this pregnancy heaps!
The only thing I am not enjoying is work. Five more months until I can wave goodbye to the bitch-boss from hell!! Or from somewhere near hell - Fuls boss actually deserves the "hell" title!!!!

DesperateHousewife21 · 04/03/2010 20:20

ful yeah that must have been really worrying for your friend, glad everything turned ok for her in the end though. Im sure it will be for me too, just trying to relax now and enjoy feeling him wriggling around in there, Im sure he's comfy!

pixie haha yeah I know what you mean! Thanks for thinking moving thoughts for me

fudgecat · 04/03/2010 20:34

Evening all

spirael sorry to hear you have had a bad cold, im just getting over one myself so know how annoying it is to not be able to dose yourself up on lemsip max pills
Wow little Gadget is a Girl

fulham awww at your DP giving LO a kiss, thats so sweet

pidgin i know just how you feel about telling the GP Â? i saw mine on Monday it just seems to make it a bit more real IYKWIM

roses im not too keen on the dopplers as i have read about people using them when they had concerns about lack of movement only to mistake their own heartbeat for the babies and carrying on as normal when they should have got proper help

hermya good luck at your booking appointment tomorrow, let us know what they do\say. mine has been booked for the 17th

Pixie thats so that they say about the 2% in your scan letter but i guess means the remaining 98% get good news

Not much news from me, been feeling a bit queasy on and off for a few days now but the main thing is the tiredness. I never realised how much it takes out of you!!! Oh there was one other thing i wanted to ask you guys about, at about 5 am for the last few mornings i have been woken up by really bad AF type pains low down in my tummy, it hurts quite a bit but only for about 5 or 10 mins then it goes. Any one got any ideas?

DesperateHousewife21 · 04/03/2010 21:22

fudge I had those type of pains during the night, they also woke me up at an ungodly hour, I think they were ligament stretching and shifting around, they felt more intense than usual but could have been the position I was laying in or maybe if I was tensing in my sleep.

Ozziegirly · 04/03/2010 21:55

fudge I also have had ligament stretching pains throughout - they are at their worst now but I did get twinges in the first trimester too.

I"m wearing a maternity dress into work for the first time today as, firstly, it's nice and I like it, and also I thought I would see if this helps with the ligament pains I've been having, not having something digging in.

My mum told me yesterday that she had exactly the same pains as well, and when she was at work people would fuss around her and bring her tea and things. I, on the other hand had two meetings yesterday, am rushing around all over the place with no chance of a sit down!

Ah well, we have a long weekend this coming weekend so i can put my feet up a bit.

Spirael - congratulations on Gadget!

fulhamgirl · 05/03/2010 08:57

Morning guys!!

wohooooo congratulations spiral a little girl. Have u thought of any names yet?
Awww tall baby good luck when she kicks and moves to find some place comfy lol !!

I havent seen the jungle theme though. Weve winnie the poohed it lol very original ay my OH has a thing with the arista cats and Bambi so the nursery is kinda piglet on a cloud with a cat next to him and Bambi underneath on the grass lmao!! I just let him get on with it its looking ok but I would of prefered duck to be honest lol.

Did u enjoy your choclate? lol ive just stuffed a whole easter chocolate thingy at 8.30 in the morning so not good but Lily told me to .

pix- LMAO at farting in the face on the old guy hahaha made me laugh so much this morning. Defo worth thinking about though. As u start getting bigger the wind dont stop itself from making an apperaance anyway very .
Awww so glad youve got your scan date through. Dont be so silly about the little bean it will be fine. U would of had signs if not bad pains bleeding loss of weight but u have none of that so your baby is well and will soon be kicking the hell outta u !!

OMG join the club from the bitch boss from hell club . So much has happened im not even gonna post because it must get boring but lets just say she is a B.I.T.C.H with bigger capitals if I could do them.
I only have 19 more working days left of her though and after the baby is born she is being taken to a tribunial we can take yours as well if u want .
Whats your boss beem doing then?

des - still only Dylan at the minute he is being out numbered lol im sure he wont mind as he gets older though lol. Still thinking positive moving thoughts for your placenta lmao.

fudge- heya hun. I get pains all the time ive been in hospital twice with really bad pains. One time I had braxton hicks which is false labour pains getting u ready for the birth and the other was ligaments very painful I know !! But at least u know the bubba is growing properly and making u know that its growing. I had them as well early on nothing to worry about but I did go doctors and they gave me an 8 week scan and she was fine. I do that though I worry over everything and its always nothing.

ozzie- Wohooo first maternity dress how exciting. I just got trousers and a top. Thats to last me the whole week btw. Seriously. I keep having to wash it everynight.
Have u brought many maternity clothes yet?

Nothing much to report really guys. She hasnt been moving as much today I get myself all panicky.

Had again a really strange dream its talking about this swimming stuff I think lol.
Was doing keep fit and the instuctor said stretch next thing I know at 2.30 this morning im sitting on the edge of the bed cursing as I got cramp in both legs not just one but both lol!! Im in pain today I can remember doing it in my sleep though then the pain hit. Im suprise I didnt knock my OH out with the elbow pulls haha!!

xxxx

DesperateHousewife21 · 05/03/2010 09:49

ful haha thanks lmao at your stretches in your sleep!

Ive STILL got a blocked nose its driving me crazy, keeping me up at night and giving me a dry throat as I have to breathe through my mouth instead.

Spirael · 05/03/2010 10:22

Morning all! I feel a bit more human today, I managed to fall asleep as soon as my head touched the pillow last night and slept through until morning. A combination of relief after the scan and being able to just about breathe through my nose again, I think!

Hopefully your nose will clear soon, DesperateHousewife. I'd like to say something specific I did, but I think I'm just recovering from the cold and it went away on its own. I found hot lemonade helped a little though, as did rubbing some Vicks Vaporub between my nose and top lip. The spicy Nandos I had for lunch might have helped too...

Ugh, we're having issues with names, fulhamgirl. DH and I aren't going to officially announce IRL anything until Gadget is born, in case she doesn't look like our preferred name and we end up changing it at the last minute. However, in doing precautionary Google checks earlier on the name we were pretty happy with as our primary choice, I've just discovered there's a relatively famous NY American 'model' with either the same first and middle name combo, or that she uses as a 'stage name'!

While unlikely to be well known here, I can't bring myself to inflict that on LO, especially since we'll likely be moving over to Canada within the next few years. The middle name is after a close friend, so looks like we'll have to rethink the first name. Bah!

Morning everyone, thanks for all your tips re pervy old guy. Even now it still makes me sudder. Well me and DH had a bit of an adventure last night, we managed to lock ourselves out of our flats. I'm putting this one down to a combination of my hormones and my Dh's occasional bouts of blondness (he can deny it all he wants but it's true). Well long story short, we ended up staying with a friend and then ringing the landlord to come and let us in. .

I've come home this morning and I've found someone using the landlords supply to do some work outside. I questioned him about it and he said that I don't pay for that electricity. I'm not convinced though, has anyone else heard of this?

Pixie You know what, I might just do that. I told my Dh and he was said 'what one of the lifeguards?' and I said 'No if it was a lifeguard, I wouldn't complain so much. No it was a pervy old guy' (shudder).

Fulham That was so sweet about your Nan, at least I know the munchkin is still acting up for me. Cheeky thing!!

des- owww I had that cold as well lasted a week for me it was horribe. I had no energy for 2 days. I found sleeping on my left side helped and hot drinks. But I got a sore throat having my mouth open but thats the only way I was able to get to sleep !! Hope it gets better soon try a steamer that helps or poor boiling water into a bowl with some pepermint drops and a towel over your head. Really unblocks you if its sriving u mad.

spiral- awww we had lily as a name straight away but its true what u say though when she is born she might look like a ruby or a Sienna I love the name Sienna. My OH dont though lol.
He is very very dark with dark hair and brown eyes. And im the complete oppersite im very blonde with blue eyes and dont tan in the sun.
In the winter he still manages to get a tan through the winter sun so jealous. He doesnt have any forgien family either unless his great great grandparents were from greece or italy. Most people who see him automatically say he look Italian but he isnt. So its going to be really intresting to see how Lily looks. Mummy or daddy. If she is light haired and blued eyed lily will be perfect but if she is dark I think Ruby is much better.
I dont know how it works do little girls normally look like their dads? I look like my dad.

About the swimming pool thing get DH to go with you that will stop perv from looking.

Im not to sure about the electricity guy. Best to ask the landlord and keep an eye on your next bill. I would of thought if its outside your place then he would be using your electirc.
