yey and off work buddy, wish I had some angel delight... think i might have to brave the outdoors sooner or later, or maybe bribe my brother to come and look after me.

anyone dying to go out shopping for baby things?

KayloHalo · 21/01/2010 14:38

MrsZaC My friend at work today came and she's bought me a pair of the cutest ever doggy bootees I almost cried - damn hormones. Bless her, she said she could resist the mothercare sale (guess where I'll be Saturday?)

Going to Asda after work to purchase a baby bath, bottles and steriliser (although am hoping to breastfeed). Simply because they're cheap - theres a baby event on and everythings at a really good price there at the moment.

I know it's early but I don't wanna end up spending a fortune in a few months when I could save myself a load by getting them now.

owh so cute, kaylo I would have cried too, good news I've just managed some beans - woo hoo!

Very sensible getting the discounted stuff, totally understand where your coming from. Don't think I'm ready to just get though, but love window shopping

taking out my pent-up retail therapy on looking at houses, (hopefully) going to view one tomorrow in a lovely little village near my parents, can't wait

KayloHalo · 21/01/2010 15:42

Oooh I love house hunting - although we're not moving (as much as I would like to!!).

Hope you're feeling better MrsZaC

Hey Ladies,

I've had my scan and everything was really positive which was a great relief.

Still suffering really bad nausea with occasional sickness and it's really getting me down. I'm 12+4 and praying it will clear soon. If it hasn't gone by monday I think I'm going to try acupuncture... has anyone else tried it? I wear the Seabands day & night and I think they help so thought I'd go the whole hog.

neenz · 21/01/2010 16:42

So sorry Mummy

kunella - yeah that usually means twins! Although you may just be hearing your own hb - is that possible? I might get one of those dopplers - what type is it, where did you get it from and how much? I just worry so much in pregnancy I think it would calm my nerves to be able to listen in whenever I wanted.

I am off work as well today - feeling too horrid to go in. It totally wiped me out yesterday. Feel like crap but I suppose it is a good thing in a way. I have a sore throat though so hope I am not getting another cold.

My top tip for losing weight - don't have crap in the house, it's too tempting!

Chulita · 21/01/2010 16:44

Pleased everything's looking good for you nikalah, hoping the sickness moves on soon. I'm 14wks and the ms is more every other day than every day so it is going!

mrsZaC · 21/01/2010 17:02

fab news nikalah sorry to hear about your nausea, if I felt like this everyday I dunno what I'd do!

neenz · 21/01/2010 17:02

I have bitten the bullet and bought a doppler - guaranteed delivery by 1pm tomorrow

It is this one

Miamla · 21/01/2010 17:19

hi all, not sure how anyone can wait for 12week tbh. I've had a few cramps over last few nights, saw GP today and he's booked us in for an early scan on monday (i'll be 9weeks all things being well) Absolutely petrified but no way i can wait til 12 weeks so really relieved that he offered early scan.

nikalah just realised what your real name probably is! i reckon quite similar to mine (put my mn into a mobile with predictive text!).. anyhow, what i was going to say before going off on a tangent is...congratulations!!!!!!

KayloHalo · 21/01/2010 17:49

Miamla hope everythings ok with you!!! fingers crossed for scan on Monday

Nikalah Congrats on your scan hun, nice and positive so relieving after all the recent losses!

Neenz I have banished all things crap like from my house except ice cream!! I only have it maybe once a fortnight but I melt a bit of chocolate on top, oh it's heavenly! Craving fruit mostly now so have started dipping fruit pieces into - slightly melted - ice cream.

Chulita Glad your sickness seems to be easing.
Was a little concerned about mine cos it's seems to have gone, only getting waves of nausea now.

QUESTION
Can anyone feel the baby move yet? I keep thinking I'm feeling fluttery movements but I think, nah can't be. I'll be 13 weeks on Saturday.
Just wondered if anyone getting these?

xx

Hi all.

Mummy so sorry.

I have had more bleeding today though only a tiny bit plus dark discharge.

Making me all the more determined that this scan tomorrow will not bring good news.

kaylo I went to asda yesterday lots of bargains. Got the dds new cups £1 each also got dd2 some more dummies £1 for two. Bargains galore!

Anyway I'm off to stress out continuously until tomorrows scan get the dds ready for bed and have an early night.

KayloHalo · 21/01/2010 18:04

Right just finished - time to go to Asda!!!

OP posts:
babyducky · 21/01/2010 18:07

Hi everyone,

So sorry mummy & bunny

Hope your scan goes well miamla & anyone else who's got a scan coming up.

RE names so far we like Leo for a boy & Ruby for a girl.

Kaylo- I am convinced I have felt movements the last few days, I am only 10 weeks!
surely it cant be, but it feels just like it did with ds.

Doodleydoo · 21/01/2010 18:30

I was going to ask about flutterings but surely not at 10 weeks? But there is something going on in there which almost makes me wonder if I have got my dates wrong?

Anyway still no news on scan date yet - surely they must get round to me soon? Would be nice to be called so might just call the unit tomorrow and find out what is going on with potential dates!

I have to say that have discovered instant microwave rice and soy sauce - obviously microwave is crap and too much salt but very helpful with the ms which I think with me could be related to carbs and salt.

Chulita · 21/01/2010 20:35

I've had flutterings for a couple of weeks, I'm convinced
doodley I agree on the salt thing...not healthy but it seems to help!
dibby, any news?

Chulita · 21/01/2010 20:36

kaylo, waves of nausea are still 'good' though, I get worse in the evening. Threw up changing DD's nappy tonight, was grim...

neenz · 21/01/2010 20:51

I have felt quite sick today - and I was worried earlier in the week cos I wasn't feeling too sick!

I have been feeling 'movements' for a week or so as well! It has made me more scared I am having twins again but if you lot are having them too that is good - unless we are all having twins! You do feel movement more quickly second time around but I didn't think this early.

Girls, really hope the scan goes well - dark discharge is not usually a problem. When I had a mc (13wks) the blood was bright red

Quite excited to get my doppler tomorrow - I really hope we get to hear the hb

littlemiss72 · 21/01/2010 21:17

Hi girls, sorry to hear so many of you are feeling poorly.

Very sad to hear of yet more bad news take care of yourselves bunny & mummy x

I like the idea however of posting the more positive details of our scans as and when we have them, congrats nikala

I've been suffering ms for days on and off, fell asleep next to my boss yesterday in a late afternoon meeting yesterday and I'm sure he's already sussed out I'm pregnant.

I seem to be growing quite fast! I'm quite small and always in the gym, however this week I have had to hide behind baggy dresses and long jumpers whilst woofing down anything I can get my hands on. Ginger snaps seem to be my nibble of choice as I read they help with the ms. The on-site gym staff at work have even asked when I'm coming back..

Ooh found a lovely pair of jean leggings today in next £20! Elastic waist so plenty of room, still tight on the legs so great alternative to my skinny jeans, even have pockets

My scan isn't until 15th Feb, trying to think positive thoughts as I'm sure you all are.

Have bagged myself some feel good free tickets to sing along mama mia at the O2 on Sunday afternoon, off with the girls to sing my heart out lol.

Take care all x

starshaker · 21/01/2010 21:35

I have a doppler. Only 8 weeks though so still cant hear anything. Mind you i struggle to find my own heartbeat sometimes so not too worried lol.
think it would be good if lots of us were having twins lol would be less scary.
Actually accosted a mum of twins in the street today. Ended up going for coffee and quizing her loads.
Today i have eaten half a chocolate cake (made it myself) with loads of ice cream.
Feeling sick mainly in the morning so start my day with a cereal bar before i even get up and that seems to stop me being sick.

neenz · 21/01/2010 21:40

Star, thanks for that info - I won't be too worried if I can't hear a hb with my doppler tomorrow then. That is great that you met another twin mum - I have become really good friends with a woman I just met on the street with her twin pram. I think she thought I was a bit mad at first though

kanella · 21/01/2010 21:44

Hi Neenz

The doppler is great (angelsounds). i think my dp got it in Amazon or ebay, it was only about twenty pounds last year. It is very reassuring especially as I have no symptons. I first used it at 9 weeks and could hear the h/b. You can also record the hb to your lap top. i have my scan on tuesday so will let you know how i get on. Nobody knows our secret apart from my dp and my cat. Partner in forces so going on my own to the scan. Keep hearing 2 scans, it could be my femoral pulse I don't know.

KayloHalo · 22/01/2010 09:46

Morning fellow honey's

I'm glad to hear that I'm not going mad and that you guys are feeling fluttery things too - still hoping it's not twins tho, god knows where I'd fit them!!!

Am so excited for my scan today!! And nervous. And scared! It's at 3:30 so it's quite a late one as well. Got my fingers crossed so tightly!!!

more later xx

Hi all.

I have got my nuchal through for 5th Feb but am sure i'll go completely maD IF i HAVE TO WAIT THAT LONG SO HAVE BOOKED PRIVATE SCAN FOR LATER TODAY. (whoops sorry caps)

Just want some reassurance, cos am really worried. No real reason to be, no bleeding cramps or anything, symptoms are not as strong as they were but maybe that's a good thing right?

Will be back later feeling like a wally.
