chulita and apricots you made me chuckle - wipes, drawers and toilet roll are DD's favourite pastimes... That, and emptying all the condiments out of the kitchen cupboard.

Ooh, names!! Loving Teddy for a boy whoever mentioned it. I'm totally stuck this time, was last time too until right at the end of my pregnancy I just knew I was carrying a girl and I just knew she had to be called Beatrice Clementine. And she was . Hoping for a similar epiphany this time.

DH just made sausage, mash and baked fennel. Mmm mmm mmm. And he's bought Gu choc souffles for pud. No wonder my waistline is expanding rapidly.

Mummy369 · 20/01/2010 18:51

Hi Girls, I've been following the thread closely and just been too tired to update or post anything.

Today went to EPU after sharp pain last night and pink discharge all morning. I should have been 11 weeks today but sac measured 7 weeks and no heartbeat

Sorry to leave you all, please could someone take me off the list?

Chulita · 20/01/2010 19:20

mummy369 I'm so sorry to hear it, take care and lots of luck for the future [hugs] Hope you have someone with you. Sorry, that sounds so trite - I truly am so sorry.

kanella · 20/01/2010 20:47

Hi ladies can I join you all please. Been rather reluctant to join after recent m/c but have been following you all avidly. Have 12 week scan next week so scared. Been using doppler and can hear 2 seperate h/b. One at either side of belly. One sounds like a train and the other faster like a h/b! Does anyone know if this means twins? Thanks. Can you add me to list 1st time mum 37yr Devon, baby due 10 Aug.

So sorry Mummy words fail me today. Take good care.

Welcome to the new ladies & congratulations. You joined us on a sad day for our thread but it is nice to have some good news today.

driedapricots · 20/01/2010 22:04

oh god i bet the MW tells me i'm obese too...been too scared to get on the scales for past few months but know i've been piling it on cos love my food too much and pschologically it's wrong to diet when TTC and pregnant..right?! ;)
that's the last thing i need, smug MW telling me what i really don't want to hear..it's true, what can we do about it now? i'm signing up for WW the week after this one's out i reckon..have promised hubby i will not be a fat middle aged mum!!
welcome new ladies
names...love Beatrice Crazycat
and a friend of mine has a little Lily-Rose, it's a v pretty name, although a bit of a mouthful when you're saying it hundreds of times through the day!
talk abut hormones, i'm crying at the acceptance speeches on the National TV awards
anyway, off to bed now in order to cope with my lovely little alarm call at 5am tomorrow...she's called Megan but we should have called her Dawn!

Luise85 · 20/01/2010 22:57

Hi Ladies!
Please add me to the list as well, I'm due 11th of August with #2!
Actually had no idea I was pregnant until last sunday, after having some strange tummy pains and thinking about how strange and emotionally all over the place I was feeling in the last couple of weeks. Quite a surprise, ds is 14months and I haven't had my period back yet! so yes, you can still get pregnant despite

bouncingblueberries · 21/01/2010 09:05

Congratulations Lusie and welcome also to sam and kanella apricots I love the name Megan and might just have to add it to my list! Although might spell it Meghan instead, just to be awkward!

Other names I love just now are Isla (v. popular all of a sudden - again, another 1976 name making a comeback) Iona, Mharie and Orla for girls and Arran, Fergus and Hamish for boys. Can you tell we're desperate to hold on to our Scottish/celtic routes?

Well that's everyone at work now told, so I've come in today in my maternity jeans - hoorah! Just a bit annoying how they keep falling down - not very ladylike having to hoik them up every 5 seconds. Grr. Of course now I'm super paranoid that I've jinxed everything by telling everyone - Monday cannot come soon enough.

Chulita · 21/01/2010 09:10

blueberries you need some of these no more unladylike hoiking

DH and I have decided we quite like Heidi for a girl and Samson for a boy. I like Samuel but DH says there are too many of them.

Alicetheinvisible · 21/01/2010 09:25

Morning

With the weight thing, i am 5'3" and weigh 9st9 size 10 on the bottom and a 14 on top (32f) i am in the range of healthy BMI but when i had a hosp app about 8 months or so ago i was 10st and bmi of 25, they weighed me in my boots, chunky belt, jeans, shirt and jewellery (all my clothes, but wanted to give you a more detailed description) and i was 10st7 and they were happy to have that down as my weight which gave me a bmi of 27 and the nurse said "Hmm, you donk look overweight" honestly!

Dibbydab · 21/01/2010 09:29

So sorry mummy369

Welcome new ladies, keep posting we need a bit of positivity at the moment, it's been a bumpy ride so far.

Have my 12 week scan this afternoon and am pooping myself. Have had no other scans so far, no pains/bleeding and plenty of MS which came back with a vengeance this morning after a few days respite, but this was probably because I've got myself so worked up about the scan and hardly slept last night.

It's like a mixture of Christmas Eve when you're a kid and waiting for a big exam result that will determine the rest of your life - the looking forward to and the dreading in one.

I hope to be able to give you all some good news tomorrow.

Chulita · 21/01/2010 09:54

dibby I dreamt I'd missed mine and woke up in a cold sweat at about 2am...it's like exam season all over again! Good luck!

Doodleydoo · 21/01/2010 11:11

These dreams are just downright scary - you know how in some dreams you can "Manipulate" sometimes to change the outcome, well mine last night involved not being able to do that so everytime I tried to tell a colleague that I had been in the marines (OH YEAH MW all your fault for telling me how fat I am!!!!!!!!!) they all kept laughing at me and when I tried to show them how I could run I couldn't catch up with them and they are all men over 60 with dodgy knees..... poo.

Am making a concious effort to not eat for 2, but again weighed myself this morning and was half a stone lighter! So tell me is scrambled egg without butter or toast bad for me? I just felt I really needed something warm....

consequently I am now absolutely starving because I was thinking of all the things I wanted to try out and now have cravings for all sorts.......

Chulita · 21/01/2010 11:47

Scrambled egg on toast is brilliant for you, full of protein and good stuff. I heart eggs, I really, really do (although I have a massive need for Mini Cheddars at the mo)

Doodleydoo · 21/01/2010 11:55

ooh, Jacobs crackers and dairylea for me! might go on a hunt.......

bouncingblueberries · 21/01/2010 12:25

Oh yeah chulita! I'd look the picture of elegance in those you cheeky minx!

KayloHalo · 21/01/2010 13:00

Mummy369 I'm so sorry Please take good care of yourself and best of luck for the future xxx

chulita and doodley scrambled eggs on toast sounds to me. And when I first found out I was pregnant it was all I wanted to eat!!! Strange bloody cravings...

WRT dreams - last night I dreamt my house was on fire and I was trapped in my bedroom and the kids were banging on my door. I woke up sweating and scared stupid to the point of goosebumps on my arms!!! Had to check on the kids - just to make sure they were sleeping.

Keep fluctuating between excitement and nerves for scan tomorrow. This thread has seen so much bad news alreadu - I don't want to add to it.

take care everyone

xxxx

mrsZaC · 21/01/2010 13:55

hey..

for recent losses, take care of yourselves and best wishes for the future.

Lots of positive vibes for all those with scans over the next couple of days, I'm sure everything will be hunky dorey.

I'm off work sick today went out for dinner for my mum's bday last night and felt sooooo uncomfortably full, work up early hours feeling awful and hugging the toilet, DAM MY STRONG STOMACH! wasn't sick but suffered horrible nausea and a bout of diarreha worried about little bean but not had any cramping or bleeding so hopefully he/she is ok. Don't think it's food posining, cuz I wasn't sick, but feeling rubbish today managed porridge but that's all I can stomach, very unlike me.

Well on the positive side of things, hopefully 9 weeks today and not long till my scan - woopee! (and eeeeeeeek!)

names.. I like Nieve for a girl, spanish meaning snow, quite apt I thought. Boys names I'm not sure, I like Aidan but my mum wworks at a school and isn't keen on that one for her own reasons!

man I'm fed up, off sick and DH away, no one to go out and get me some jelly, that's all I fancy just now

vix206 · 21/01/2010 14:15

I've taken the day off too as I woke up with a migraine. My first since being pregnant and I also have my booking appt at 2.45 today so that was bad timing! Have spent most of day in bed but head still banging, may have to take a paracetamol after I've had my blood tests because it isn't shifting.

Still hungry though and I've made som strawberry angel delight for later on this afternoon!

I wish this were a scan though and not just booking appt, wonder how long that will take to arrange...
