Hello ladies,
Keep digging your nails into lemons, wearing your seabands or pressing your belly button - whatever works. Alas, nothing is working for me - I can set my watch by being sick within 15 minutes of getting up - this morning I managed to throw a bowl of cereal down my neck before it came back up.
We did "the big shop" this weekend and I told DH, sorry I can't cook/don't know what I'll fancy to eat on any given day - just pick up some ready meals to get you through the week, I can just about manage the microwave
So shopping consisted of 4 cartons of fresh orange, 10 ready meals, grapes (can't get enough of them), lots of lemonade (delish with a dash of lime cordial) and loo roll. I think Nigella is safe for a while .
I had my booking appt last Tuesday - lots of form filling and confirming I wasn't an alcoholic/class A drug user/chain smoker and that was about it really. Midwife is lovely, she weighed me and took my blood pressure and I have "notes" and a my very own wee pot to carry around with me - yay, more rubbish in my handbag! She did ask about whether I'd thought about where I would like to have baby Dibbydab - I made murmerings about liking the idea of a home birth to which she gave me a wry smile and a knowing nod and said "I thought you might..." (probably because I'm not her usual client from round our way - aged 15, pregnant after a knee trembler behind the local Lidl, makes Vicki Pollard look classy...)
Have an appt next week for bloods then my 12 week scan on 21st Jan for nuchal and dating and will get the results of scan and blood tests after the scan. DH and I need to have a serious sit down and discuss the "what ifs" before we get to the scan, though midwife did say that they will only refer you on for CVS if the risk from the Nuchal scan was higher than 1:350 - at the moment I am 1:440 risk for Downs because I am a decrepit old hag (35 this year), but like everything else, we'll cross that bridge if we come to it.
Enough rabbiting on from me. There seems to be 2 threads going so also going to copy this onto other thread.
