Sorry to hear Allthe8s. hopefully it's just taking after you with the slow ticker, fingers crossed.
My nausea has definitely slowed if not gone altogether since not taking multivits in the morning Going to have one now and see if it comes back.
Referral has been faxed to the hospital but not processed yet. Can anyone tell me how long they waited after the GP sent the referral before the hospital arranged the scan for? I know everywhere is different but hoping it won't take longer than 2 weeks
Neez, And Aussie, I'm from there too! But I go back regularly - I would drag dh there for good if I could.... But I can't anytime soon
Loving the food diaries - making me feel much better. I have been able to curb it when the nausea not here.
toasted egg sandwich for breakfast, left over bolognaise sauce on it's own at 1130, ham and cheese toasty at 1pm. Chocolate biscuit at 3p with cup of tea. Dinner will be steak and ale pie. Someone said you can't have egg mayo? why? is it the mayo?

mrsZaC · 08/01/2010 16:15

hehe driedapricots I think he is a little unrealistic in that respect.. but I've kept most of that quiet so I it's wouldn't put him off ttc.

woo hoo vix did you use the code? (XQQLBQYF) you'll have to let me know how you get on grazing! I think it's amazing, I get it on a tuesday and thursday, lifesaver x

rubena mmm steak pie! sounds delish, I had red wine stew from yummy mummy book last night and was delish! super good book

vix206 · 08/01/2010 16:22

MrsZaC I missed the code and can't find a way of adding it now

KayloHalo · 08/01/2010 16:55

Rubena It was me who said you're not supposed to have egg mayo. Apparently theres something in it which isnt suitable for ladies in the family way.

I had no idea until everyone glared at me at work when I was munching a sandwich a week ago, so I looked at them like and ate the lot. It was yummy. I never stopped eating it with dd or ds and they're fine (although they can't stand it?)

I had to LOL when I saw the Graze.com post. Only because literally an hour before I read the post my colleague at work stumbled upon the same website andsigned straight up.
I thought it was hillarious that 2 people in one day that I 'know' had found it. What are the chances?

allthe8's I'm so sorry things are not looking good. I will keep everything crossed that you just have a lazy little bean in there.

Will look forward to you coming back.

moose Pembury is a lovely hospital, always makes me chuckly when they have to wheel in the huge canistors of G&A cos they don't have it piped.

I am dithering between Maidstone, (10 mins away) and Queen Mary's at SIdcup. (25 mins)I work at QM so know everyone and know I would be able to use MLU whereas Maidstone, although I know a few of them, I prob would be in the main delivery and treated as high risk.

Just had homemade chip sandwich with grated cheese, mayo and ham. Yumm.

neenz · 08/01/2010 18:08

liahgen, I'd go to QM's then. My hospital is 25 mins away - it is not far really. Just pretend Maidstone doesn't exist! I think it's really important to pick the right hospital and be comfortable there.

Mayo is only bad if it has raw egg in it but anything shop-bought will be fine cos it will all be pasturised. Hellman's etc is fine too, it's just if your MIL makes it or if a restaurant offers it you check it doesn't have raw egg in.

alys78 · 08/01/2010 18:30

So sorry to hear your news allthe8's fingers crossed that you get the answer that you want and your little one just takes after you.

Having a bad day today, lots of stomach ache and back ache, so rushing to the loo every five minutes, constant knicker checking!! Still can't get my head round the fact that there is a little one in there, perhaps don't want to after last time. Can't wait to get a date for my scan now and see everything is OK, but I keep thinking the worst and need to snap out of it.

Sorry it's a bit of a whingy post, think he hormones are reeking havoc (yay a good sign )

Well I think time for a non-alcoholic beer seen as it's friday and Barnsley is covered in snow and snowing again!!

Aussieng · 08/01/2010 18:41

Allthe8s I'm so sorry that you had such a crappy time. Fingers and everything else crossed - I really hope everything works out. Take it easy until your next scan.

Kaylo your work sounds horrific. Have you tried posting on the employment rights pages just in case there is anything which could help you (admittedly I'm not overly hopeful)> My job to be fair are pretty good and specifically provide for 5 days paid leave each year to deal with issues with family illnesses, childcare etc. I kind of assume that most places are the same. DH has just started a new job which tbh is not a great job, quite menial etc (but just short term) and they have also been great, switching his hours so he could come to the booking in with me etc. I just take it for granted that most people try to be considerate and helpful.

Neenz I'm not Australian but my usual choice of user name was taken on MN (not that I've ever seen anyone using it) so I borrowed DH's nationality - hence Aussie (australian) and ng (Nottingham). Bit sad I guess but at the time I was in quite a hurry to join and not in the mood to think up user names. DH is from South Australia and the plan is for us to be settled in there before the kids are ready to start school although the current cold weather is making me wonder about doing it sooner - that and the Australin pregnancy grant which makes the UK £190 look a bit measly!!! I keep telling DH that he is having English babies

vix206 · 08/01/2010 19:20

Just back from a delicious curry As if I hadn't gorged myself enough today....

BunnyBaby · 08/01/2010 19:26

Allthe8s you may have just ovulated a week later than expected my positive sticky baby vibes are with you. He/she is still there inside you focus on that and all the wishes being sent in your direction. Looking forwards to hearing from you soon xxx

Allthe8s · 08/01/2010 19:29

Thanks to you all for your kind & positive words - will keep you posted xxxxx

cakeywakey · 08/01/2010 21:11

Just wanted to echo all the other posts Allthe8s. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

starshaker · 08/01/2010 21:45

Hi well not had a great day today. Fainted twice tonight and feel quite sick. Havent eaten much so thatt might be why. Should i be worried?

BunnyBaby · 08/01/2010 21:52

I had booking in appointment at hospital today. They made a real fuss of DS1 getting him to help with blood pressure and he was a good boy. It was so quick, in and out within an hour which was lovely.

Scan booked for 20th Jan, when I'll be exactly 12 weeks, so very happy with that! (though still seems ages off).

Food diary:
Alpen, 3 bags of quavers, healthy tikka masala, two chocolate biscuits, now about to have dominos but ordered low fat cheese (and garlic bread and chicken strippers - though sharing with DH)

DH agreed to just do 1 Saturday in 4 instead of every Saturday as he is self-employed, and we miss him, and the quality time together.

Enjoying reading through my bounty pack, it makes it all new and sparkly again doesn't it?

BunnyBaby · 08/01/2010 21:54

Starshaker - eat some meat (as long as you're not vegetarian). I got quite aneamic from feeling icky and eating carbs, and forgetting my protein.

bouncingblueberries · 09/01/2010 07:29

Not too bad a food day yesterday:

7am Porridge
10am - handful of winegums
12.30pm - Haddock and chips at Ikea
1pm - handful of Daim nuggets in car
3pm - snowball thingy from Ikea
6pm - Exceptionally healthy homemade veg curry and homemade naan

Ok, looks worse written down! But compared some other days this week, not bad going. Severe lack of fruit though

Today so far the tally sits at:

2 slices of toast with lemon curd
pain au chocolat

Off to make a smoothie to get the fruit tally up!

So what's everyone up to today? DH has just left to go for a run up in London. He's training for the Brighton Marathon but getting frustrated by all the ice and snow and not being able to run his normal routes. So he's jumped on the train to run round Hyde Park and along the Thames instead. Feel a bit envious of his energy to be honest!

Was awake for about 2 hours last night for no real reason. So even more exhausted today!

bouncingblueberries · 09/01/2010 07:31

Ladyjadey welcome to the thread. Can't think of any useful advice to offer you I'm afraid but I hope you find a solution that keeps you and your daughter safe and happy. Stay well.

littlemiss72 · 09/01/2010 09:07

Good morning girls,

Positive thoughts for Allthe8s the little one is still there so don't give up hope just yet. Everything crossed for you!

7 weeks tomorrow for me, feeling ok although a little bloated and very exhausted. Much like to rest of you eating for England!!

ladyjadey your head sounds all over the place, emotions tend to run high when you can't think straight. Is there a close friend you can turn to? maybe some time out would do some good, could you go and stay with someone for a week or two to clear your head? Really feel for you hunni it sounds like a very difficult situation right now.

Snowing again here in London, in fact the snow hasn't cleared at all and it's still very cold!

Think my weekend will consist of lots of snuggling on the sofa, DP loves cooking so I'm in safe hands.

Liahgen I am booked with QM's too. Do you work in the Womens Wards? I am interested to know how good this hospital is, as I had my last at PRUH (Farnborough) and had an awful time! We are due around the same time too!

Missus84 · 09/01/2010 12:44

Debating whether to reheat yesterday's chinese takeaway for lunch... Yay or nay?

acatcalledfidget · 09/01/2010 13:48

Does anyone else feel less sick than they have been? I was terrible for a while over xmas, sick 5/6 times a day, but that has eased and yesterday i wasn't sick once, and today i'm feeling ok too { a little nauseous but not bad}. Am always panicking about symptoms going and having a mc.

acatcalledfidget · 09/01/2010 13:50

oh, and Missus - just be careful of the rice when re-heating. Apparently that is the highest risk when been left to go cold....other than that...mmmmmm - yummy left over chinese :-)

Missus84 · 09/01/2010 14:25

My sickness had completely gone for a week (also worrying about mc!) then yesterday morning I got up, had a croissant and promptly threw up

Reheated the rice thoroughly and it was delicious!
