Hello ladies!
I've been meaning to join this thread for ages, how's everyone doing? I'm due July 24th (as far as I know) - checked in with the MW today, and heard a heartbeat on the doppler! SO amazing! i've spent the rest of the night with a big big grin on my face, and when I told DH tonight he blinked a few times and then started bouncing around.
Sonogram on Monday! eeee! :D
I've stopped feeling pukey, and am getting less tired. Have a cold though, so that might be skewing my judgement - I'm starving all the time, but also snotty and a bit disgusting.
Looking forward to getting to know everyone better! Hope everyone has a wonderful Friday and a relaxing weekend.

WhatSheSaid · 08/01/2010 07:16

Dur! - I only just realised there was a new thread. Thought the old one was a bit quiet!

Getting what feel like mild Braxton Hicks but I guess they must just be stretching pains or whatever.

Glad all the scans are going well and hope those still with ms are free from it soon.

stac14 · 08/01/2010 08:20

hey blackcurrants glad to hear your scans monday. Mine was fab. Next on i'm waiting for is the 20wks when i can find out what i'm having. Hope your colds better soon hun.

Great to see you wss when i went to post the thread was full so had to start a new one and couldnt post the thread so think we lost some people. How have you been? I have been sore too but mw says its normal so long as no bleeding. How many weeks are you now?

How are you all today ladies? I am being kicked out the house again so the bathroom/kitchen fitters can get in so wont be on again till later. House is a guddle which is driving me mad but will be worth it when its done xxx

Welcome blackcurrants

Will say a prayer for your friend tsc, try not to question your decision not to have tests too much though I can imagine it has shaken you a bit hearing about your friend x

Lovely to hear all the scans going well!! I was wondering how others that have felt rough are feeling now? I am nearly 15 weeks and still feeling crapola and it's getting me down truth be told...I am sure I wasn't so rough with DD, memory has a way of tricking us though doesn't it, blurs everything to 'not so bad'

Maybe it because I'm older this time round, less energy. Do hope I get that feeling fab 2nd trimester feeling I got last time soon. Sorry for moaning.

If you are snowed in like me hope you have a cosy day

TishTosh21 · 08/01/2010 08:37

Im snowed in which is really annoying cos was planning to go and see my sister who lives about 15 min drive away but the snow is just too bad right now to chance anything.

Ive had the estate agents showing people round our flat nearly every day and its getting a bit tiresome, esp them calling me every 5 mins to check its ok. Yes it was ok 5 mins ago and its still ok now..

They are coming round at 9:30 this morning to do an inspection of the flat, basically make sure we havent ruined it (which we havent) in fact if anything we've made it better since moving in (adding sky + dish, adding 2 phone points etc). God i cant wait to move out into our lovely modern, warm, spacious new flat!

TishTosh21 · 08/01/2010 09:58

Estate agents are late due to snow....great.

GibbonInARibbon · 08/01/2010 11:28

Hope they did not keep you waiting too long tish

Chulita · 08/01/2010 12:23

I'm 12wks on Sunday and still throwing up, DD is recovering from something and keeps throwing up her food and it's a chain reaction with the two of us - grim.
Macaroni and cheese is tasting amazing today, I thought about it on our walk this morning and then had to make it...funny how once I've thought of what I want, nothing else will do!
Hope someone falls in love with your flat soon tish!

kkfairybrains · 08/01/2010 14:07

gibbon im feeling exactly the same.15 weeks today and feeling sick again.had went away for 2 weeks or so but today and yesterday its back and am stil constantly tired with no energy although am able to get things done whereas i couldnt even muster up the energy to put on a wash in december! gettin really sick of feeling like this! but have to be thankful cos i could be a lot worse! having an extremely lazy day today, so much so that im stil in bed! back to work next week althugh il say january wil be quiet! hope evey1 else feeling cheerier thatn me today
a very grumpy kkfairybrains xx

TishTosh21 · 08/01/2010 14:46

Oh, i went shopping this afternoon too tsc - bought two pairs of maternity jeans and two pairs of yoga trousers from New Look. Jeans are lovely and soft - can't wait to wear them.

To all still suffering with nausea/ms...I will be 15 wks on Saturday and although I've felt an ickle bit better the last couple of days I'm still really ill in the evenings and in the mornings. I'm hoping this will pass soon! xxx

TishTosh21 · 08/01/2010 15:30

15 weeks??! thats not fair im not even 13 weeks yet after the sonographer put me back 4 days. I feel like im the only one in the first trimester still!

WinterMadness · 08/01/2010 16:33

I'm 15 weeks tomorrow too. Hilarious that nobody at work has noticed my bump! We have no heating at work, it blew up last year and in the process of being replaced now. Great timng hey? So I sit with two tops on, a coat and a hot water bottle on my knee. Hardly a surprise that noone's noticed, lol

My friend's given me my maternity gear back I lent her, and is lending me extra stuff she bought/got given. I hate spending money on maternity stuff as it's such a relatively short time you wear it. I do need some more work trousers tho as so only have one pair.

Snow here's horrendous and we're predicted more snow tonight. Great weekend in store methinks, trapped in the house with a one year old

Completely knackered, what with lugging ds around in the deep snow, him keeping me up almost every night for over an hour and just general pregnancy. Dh has been off today and hasn't so much as even washed up. I got in from work and he asked me what's for tea. Not happy.

Sorry, rant over. Hope everyone's safe and well. Thinking of your friend tsc, sending positive vibes x

Spirael · 08/01/2010 16:38

You're still beating me I think, Tish. I'm only 12+2 on my revised date... Or just 11+5 on my original date! There are a few of us dragging our heels for the end of July.

Went shopping today too. Though it does seem to be the thing to do at the moment. I got myself two nice work tops from H&M. Went to Debenhams earlier in the week and picked up some jeans (as recommended by CurlyCasper!) and a couple of casual tops.

Can't wear the jeans (or at least not in public) yet as they swamp my waist currently, though I think they'll be ok once I'm less bloat and more bump. The next size down fitted me a little too perfectly, considering I'm not that big yet, so I thought I'd go for something with a more growth room!

I've kept the label on for now, in case it doesn't work that way. This is all new to me after all, and I've no-one other than you ladies to ask for advice!

Not having much luck on trousers really, not found any work trousers either. If I can get the car off the drive in the snow, I'm dragging my poor DH round the retail parks tomorrow.

Emster30 · 08/01/2010 18:31

I'm still only 11+5 - I really feel like I've been 11 plus something forever! It's because they put me back a week at the scan. So finally on Sunday I will reach the magic 12 weeks.

Everyone seems to know at work now - word's suddenly got round (it's a nice piece of gossip for the new year I guess!). Trying to think how to announce it on Facebook, though I might wait for the scan on 21 Jan for that. Any ideas?

blackcurrants · 08/01/2010 18:48

don't worry Tish - I'm not due till the end of July, I'm somewhere between 11 and 12 weeks, and the scan on Monday should tell me something about that, right?

I got two nice dresses online from gap in the gap maternity sale. I've not even got a bump yet, but I want something nice to wear to my friend's wedding in March. I also got (from Old Navy, which is Gap's cheaper little sister in the US) a pack of three little romper suits. Handed them to DH while unpacking the dresses. He said "but.. they're so tiny! the baby's going to be so tiny!"
I said "It'd bloody better be!"

orangefizz · 08/01/2010 18:49

Hello all, Can I join you? Have only just discovered this MN malarkey, despite this being second time round (have DD 21 months). I'm due on 4th July, have had/still have MS (yuck, all nausea, no puking and no energy) when will it go????, sure it had disappeared by now last time. Had my 12 week scan just before xmas, SO amazing! Next one at 21 weeks booked for 22nd Feb. So thats the low-down, looking forward to getting to know you all, have a good w/e

Chulita · 08/01/2010 18:51

Tish I'm only 11+5 and I haven't had my scan yet so they'll probably put me back...it sucks being at the end of the month!

TishTosh21 · 08/01/2010 18:54

My EDD is 18th July so yeah i agree i suppose it could be right at the end of the month, hey ho at least its not august!

emster your exactly a week behind me, ill be 13 weeks on Sunday, i feel ive been 12 plus something for ages too!

Firerise · 08/01/2010 19:03

Hi orangefizz, welcome to the madhouse!

According to my lmp I am due on 15th but at last scan they unofficially said they thought I was more like 23rd. If they put it back again on Monday I shall be most displeased!

Chulita you've got yours on Monday too haven't you?what time are you booked in for?

I bought a few big shirts from primark last weekend and went to put one on today and it will not button up over my boobs any more!

I'm only 12 weeks, due on the 18th - I already have a noticable bump - one of my LSA's at work kindly pointed it out and told me it was because I didn't have any muscles there any more - just what I wanted to hear. Maternity doesn't fit properly and my old clothes are so uncomfortable - I have one pair of skinny jeans from Mamas and Papas which I am living in and one pair of work trousers which are so gathered at the back I need to wear a really long top with them! I still have loads of stuff in my wardrobe that I haven't been able to fit into since last time I was pg! Going to do a big clear out over the weekend. Sickness has been better today, despite not sleeping much last night because the cat kept me up - she wanted to go out but it was way too cold. Just feeling tired - thankfully dd is sleeping now, we had major tantrums this afternoon over having to go home from her cousins, not being able to drive the car (aren't I mean) and wanted juice in a farm cup which we don't own! Must be hard being 2.

WhatSheSaid · 08/01/2010 20:01

Emster I put a message on Facebook too - I'd phoned/emailed family and close friends first to tell them. I put the message on just before New Years Eve so I said something along the lines of "All have a few drinks for me, I'll be on the fruit juice because dc2 is due in July". I don't normally announce big stuff on Facebook but it seemed the easiest way of telling people I don't otherwise have that much contact with.

I'm still waiting for that second trimester bloom to arrive, I felt fantastic in 2nd trimester with dd but at the mo I still feel a bit sick, achey and get tired easily. Still, have managed to paint the kitchen and some of the outside of the house this week. Can't even remember how many weeks I am - first time round I was counting weeks and days, this time I'm more, yeah, about 13 or 14 weeks I think...

I have several pairs of maternity trousers that are still just a bit too big and one pair of normal jeans I can still fit in. The jeans are getting washed and worn A LOT.
