oooh dairylea on toast sounds really really good. I want some!!

Im going to hav veg soup for lunch soon, not homemade im ashamed to say, but Heinz

My friend is supposed to be coming over today with his DP who ive never met, they have been TTC me, i got preg in 2nd month, they still havent had any luck so they went to the docs this morning but havent heard from them. Text him earlier but no reply i hope they havent been given bad news or anything.

stac14 · 13/01/2010 13:11

Have they been trying long tish? I have polycystic ovary sndrome so it took us 2 years to conceive this one. I know how hard it can be but there are lots the docs can do to help them. Unofortunately some people just need a helping hand. There are loads of mumsnet groups for ttc with fertility issues (although since this is your first meeting you may not want to offer that lol)
Oh the dairylea on toast was fab, felt sick this morning but appetite seems to be coming back in dribs and drabs I suddenly felt ravenous, thinking about a piece of caramel cake now mmm

Chulita & stac14 - I'm the same as you - wouldn't make any difference - we love this baby no matter what. I'm getting the blood tests done so that if they come back indicating a problem we will be better prepared for when the baby arrives

Good luck with your scan today Spirael xx

stac14 · 13/01/2010 13:20

violet I didnt mean to imply anything else just giving the reasons I am not too anxious, hope it didnt come across that way

violetbubbles · 13/01/2010 13:24

Oh no, not at all Stac - hahaha - I didn't think for one second that you thought anything else! I know we're all friends here and I am eternally grateful to everyone for their advice and thoughts! xx

Chulita · 13/01/2010 13:24

stac [curses] you just reminded me I have cake in the cupboard - damn you MN!
violet, I was tempted but while I'm pretty laidback, DH is easily stressed and a worrier, I think knowing would be worse for him! Echo stac, I wasn't trying to imply anything

beckyg123 · 13/01/2010 13:34

Just popped on in lunch break... you peeps are making me sooo jealous! I WANT MY COUCH!!!
I'm so sleepy today and would love to curl up with some snacks!

I have tried everywhere to get that crochet magazine and can't find it! I had a really vivid dream where my mum was shouting at me telling me there was no reason why i shouldn't make this baby a blanket! Mum is very crafty and is already making a beautiful shawl for baby. I did do crochet when i was in the brownies and guides so it will hopefully come back to me quite quickly!

violetbubbles · 13/01/2010 13:36

Ah, see I've always been a bit of a control freak and like to be organised/prepared for every eventuality. Luckily my lovely DH is pretty laid back so he calms me down most of the time

viksam · 13/01/2010 13:48

Hi Guys,

Chulita · 13/01/2010 14:36

Housework? What's that? I'm waiting for it to snow so I can wait for it to thaw before I go out
Hooray for low risk viksam!

fairy472 · 13/01/2010 14:55

Am I the only poor bugger at work? booo wish I was on the sofa!
I had bloods done yesterday, have consultant appt next on feb 1st, due to horrible birth with my son, I was contemplating a c section.... but not sure now
Am 15 weeks tomorrow and have purchased some maternity bits, although have just had all my maternity clothes returned to me, as lent them to my friend so going to have a sort through them tonight!

Chulita · 13/01/2010 15:10

beckyg123 · 13/01/2010 15:31

fairy i'm at work too!!! BOOOOO!!!
viksam thats great news! keep blubbing away, happy tears!

TishTosh21 · 13/01/2010 15:34

Congrats viksam! Is your 20 week scan this month? How far gone are you now?

Aussieng · 13/01/2010 15:35

Hi everyone. I know I'm late to the party but can I join you please? I joined the August thread initially and want to stay on there since I've got to know everyone but my due date was just reset to 20 July so I thought it would be nice to double thread as I'll probably be more in line with the timings of some of you guys especially since having been told that I have a badly placed fibroid I may need a c-section which will presumably take place in July (all else being well)

So: me = due on 20 July with #1, terrible ms, 35 years old (yikes) and in Nottingham.

violetbubbles · 13/01/2010 15:59

That's great news Viksam & welcome to Aussieng .

I'm on the couch at the moment too - reading the latest Adriana Trigiani book - it's bliss. I work from home so was able to get a really early start this morning, whizzed through my to do list then took the rest of the afternoon off.

TishTosh21 · 13/01/2010 16:00

Hi welcome to July thread aussieng Im due on 18th July so not much ahead of you.

PinkBobble · 13/01/2010 16:08

Hi everyone

I've just joined Mumsnet and am still finding my way around! I am 15 weeks pregnant with my third, due 3rd July, and it's all starting to feel very real now - it's been a few years since my last pregnancy - and going so quickly!

givecarrotsachance · 13/01/2010 16:19

aussie - hi. My EDD is the same as yours by my last scan - moving mine back a week - but that's a long time they've moved it back. Are you comfortable with that being correct, as you don't want to end up with them sectioning you early.

I am definately not due on 20th July as that would have meant I'd ovulated a week before I did so I'm going to argue the point, as if I do go a week overdue by my dates, that's 2 weeks by theirs and they will push for induction, whereas I really have another week to go before even worrying about being 2 weeks overdue.

It seems to me that yours is a really big shift back. If you weren't sure of your dates, it's probably fine, but if you are, I'd make a fuss about it, personally.

Aussieng · 13/01/2010 16:36

Thanks everyone. Hi Pinkbobble

Carrots, my reset was 8 days (I was actually due on 28 July but joined the Aug thread with it being #1 and all) but...

I do think the reset is wrong. I have an absolutely classic 28 day cycle with day 14 ov. I'm just a bit wussy and scared with medical people. I'll discuss it with the consultant when I see her for my 20 weeks especially depending upon what is happening with the fibroid at that time. Thanks for delurking!

orangefizz · 13/01/2010 16:43

fairy and becky, you're not the only ones, i've been working too, despite snow i can walk to work so had to go in and do everyone else's work too, boo...hoping for the big thaw soon!
thanks for the tip albrecht worth knowing about placenta in the way, have mw appoint next week and hoping to hear hb but haven't felt movement yet so possibly thats why (or just too early i guess!) so i won't be as freaked out if they can't find it.
viksam hooray for your low risk, i know what you mean, i didn't think i was that worried either but was so relieved when it was low.

yay to low risk viksam thats great news

tsc fab news about your friend, glad its something fixable your friend must be so relieved. Yes I my preggo brain is a disgrace, in the middle on conversations I completely forget what I am saying, I've got to the car only to realise I am taking the dog out so bloody annoying lol

violet glad you didnt take offence, how good is the couch just now lol

For the crochet mag has anyone tried online? You've put me in the mood to try, think I will see if our shop has it. Also think they can order it for you if you want it, so amy be worth asking

Welcome to the thread aussieng and pink

Regarding the reset, my midwife said they wouldnt change my date at all even though when I think my due date may be too late, think when I go for my 20 week scan I will protest, or can you just say to mw??

Sorry to all the ladies who didnt have a couch day, if its any consalation I am bored lol, think I will get that magazine lol Thank goodness for mn or I would have nothing to do
