Hiya,

Feels like ages since i was on here! So much to read but only in lunch break so not sure i'll be able to catch up!!!

My computer still out of action and was off work all of last week with cold virus - really floored me!

Had a stressful weekend with some bleeding and been to Dr this morning. Apparently nothing to worry about as was brown and old and not red and new! The midwife does not want to see me til arranged appt in feb as she also does not think it is anything to worry about!!! So why won't my head listen to the advice and Stop worrying???

Well I just went to Peacocks (only place at the mini-retail park where I was that does maternity wear) and the choice was pathetic! There was barely a thing under a size 14-16 (I'm 10-12 so no good) All I really wanted was some leggings. Ah well will try the main retail park on Thurs when I'm next off.

Hey becky sorry to hear your having a rotten time just now. Its hard not to worry but I am sure the doc is right about the bleed, if your really stressing phone the midwives at the royal, the number is at the back of your pregnancy record, if you dont have it let me know and I will post it here for you. Let us know how your getting on

winter I had a look in peacocks too but didnt feel the stuff was that great, but then if I am honest I am not the greatest fan of that shop anyway lol New look had nice stuff, had a look a red herring online but phone went so need to go back on.

Has anyone looked at asos? Their maternity range had some nice stuff, maybe worth a try ladies

Stac thank you, I have the numbers -that record book is great with everything in it! I spoke to 24 hour care on friday night and doctor called midwives at royal this morning but they are all saying the same thing - don't worry!
Feeling a little more positive after having lunch- realised i hadn't eaten much ove last while so blood sugar must have been low! Hence the shaky hands!!!
Spoke to my Gran earlier - she was so sweet and told me how important it was to relax and enjoy my pregnancy. I know she has been so concerned for me all the way through and she nearly had me bubbling with her kindness. I have to make myself relax now! My friend going to give me reiki later - that should help

Oh, you ladies have me in the mood for shopping now!!! Might need to have a wee sneaky look at bank balance first tho!

TishTosh I am still getting really bad pains if I sneeze when lying down - got some great advice to make sure you hold your belly in tight while you sneeze - it really works if you get enough warning Only thing is its hard to cover your mouth at same time!!!

The scan went well today, just the one in there and all healthy so far. I updated the stats cos they knocked a couple of days off which is nice!

I just heard one of my friends miscarried at 6 weeks. I'm glad my other friend told me cos I have a parcel I was going to send her, now I'll change the contents and send it anyway.

I suddenly grew a bump out of nowhere and I'm only 12+4...where did that come from? All wind I think Maternity jeans are so comfy though!

OMG just caught sight of my stomach/abdomen area in the mirror and ive got quite a defined bump going on and im only 13+1, is this possible? its literally sprung up today, it def looks different to just flab and ive got a slight tyre around the belly button but its below that which makes me think its a real bump!

Sorry im going on about it but its my first i dont know what to expect but is it too early to be showing with my first one??

tishtosh that's perfectly normal but as becky says, hold in your abs if poss and also try to bend forward slightly. After it's born you'll be holding in your pelvic floor, too . And yes, it's normal to start with a bump now - or a few weeks ago - or not for months.

When I try to hold in my abs my stomach and all the rest go in too almost to flat again, does that mean its just flab?

Had our scan today, and am a few days further on - now due the 18th! Unfortunately didn't manage to get a very clear picture, as baby didn't want to co-operate very much with the photography! But at least all seems to be fine for now.

Tish - I feel massive. Goodness knows how big I will be in another 20 odd weeks - I probably won't be able to move! I am well and truely into the maternity gear now - there is no way I get get into my normal clothes!

i cant fit into my size jeans, well i can get them up but cant do them up. Leggings are a godsend cos the maternity gear wont fit me just yet.

chulita and kittykat glad your scans went well, its great seeing the baby isnt it?

tish you'll be pushing the baby in too when you hold in your abs, remember!

It could be extra weight - I've certainly put on a few pounds - it's impossible to answer other than to say that it's possible it's baby and it is with me (as well as flab!) as I know where my fundus is.

Ahh I have no idea where my fundus is (anyway of finding out or that a mw job?)

I just noticed it looks different today so I think its got bigger.Its a bit of extra flab too though!

TishTosh I have suddenly 'popped' as well, gone from looking flabby to a definite bump, people have been commenting 'oooh you've got a bump already'. Doesn't feel like already to me! I guess when you tell people at 12 weeks its still quite new to them! I feel massive and wonder how on earth I've got room for another nearly 6 months of growing, eeek.

im showin slightly 2 i think! and def by the eve its gotten way bigger! still feel like i look fat tho rather than preg! other ppl who know notice it tho.i bought a buggy 2day! it was on sale and was so cheap i couldnt let it go cos would never get it for the price again.a good real sturdy graco buggy with car seat and foot cover and changing bag for 150 euro! prob about 130 pound. just have to get the base for the car and raincover extra but il leave that til closer to july! just cant resist a bargain!who's left for scans?
tsc fingers crossed for ur friend that tests go well.have said a wee prayer for her seems so cruel that at the time wheen she's looking forward to this baby arriving she's stressing now with tests like thisxx

Hello! Spent 4 and a half hours at the hospital but the scan went really well! We have a real wriggler in there, it was amazing seeing the little legs and arms waving around and did a full loop the loop!

kittykat & chulita glad your scans went well too!

tish I have suddenly developed a little bump already but have now told everyone so no more hiding it or making up dubious excuses to leave my dsk when I need to hurl.

It's all feeling very real now! I just can't get over how amazing seeing todays scan was!

Forgot to say they confirmed that they were changing my due date to 23rd so could someone change me on the list as I can't manage such complex things on my phone without needing to lie down in a dark room afterwards! X

Woohoo! My friend lent me a huge stash if maternity gear today! Loads of New Look and Topshop stuff...I feel like I've been shopping, but I feel even better cos I haven't spent a penny! Ooooooo I'm easily pleased, lol. Seriously though, it's so nice to have a choice of clothes again. Makes me excited looking at the summer tops too, roll on nice weather.

Pleased about the scans going well. My next one isn't for weeks. Hopefully 4th time lucky my dh will actually come with me this time.

Glad the scan went well firerise I told everyone today (via facebook) so I don't have to think so hard about my status updates.
for winter's maternity clothes - I don't want to spend a lot on them but I'm a bit short on them at the mo!

Is everyone who is buying maternity clothes are these to wear now or stocking up for future??

Generally everything is too big Tish with the exception of the work trousers. Will be keeping it all for use as I slowly expand (thank God - the thought of washing and ironing it all in one go isn't appealing, I have enough to do!) But it's nice to know I have a few dresses if we go out though, stuff like that.

I did put my maternity jeans on though today as I took ds to the wacky warehouse. 15 weeks pregnant in a ball pool in my normal jeans wasn't appealing. Won't be able to fit in the kids area in a few months time, nevermind the jeans, lol
