Hi there

I have been on the July thread, but it moves so fast and as I don't have time (or energy being so sleepy), I can't keep up with everyone who is on several times a day! If anyone else wants to join me in a slower thread to share how your pregnancy is developing, feel free!

Glad you have made the decision not to go - I think you are very wise and glad your DH has seen sense! Glad you're feeling better too.

tobago04 · 19/12/2009 11:50

mousemole · 19/12/2009 12:02

thumblebells let us know how you get on - will be thinking of you. tobago, hi,nice to see you again . Your christmas does sound quite tough, poor you. Not sure what our xmas day will look like now, seems a long way away right now ! Right, off to have a rest now.

mrscrocoduck · 21/12/2009 14:16

Good luck in hospital thumblebells

Lots of snow here. Making it darned tricky to move the pushchair about.

Feeling guilty as DD wakes at 5am every morning but the nausea has turned me into an insomniac so DH has been getting up with her. We usually take it in turns. This parenting lark's pretty exhausting!!

tobago04 · 21/12/2009 14:49

Hi everyone,
Hope your ok thumblebells
Have still been feeling rubbish so had a lazy morning and completely forgot that dd2's teachers were doing a home visit today as she starts nursery in jauary,so there iam in my pjs,no make up and hair all over the place, was so embarrassed ,had to do the whole filling in forms thing looking a right mess, then at the end the teacher says she needs to take a family photo to put up at the nursery
Luckily dd2 would'nt co operate so she said she'd take one at nursery when she starts
Just don't know whats the matter with me,i'll forget my own name next
Know how you feel mrscrocoduck

WestYorkshireGirl · 21/12/2009 17:03

tobago04 That sounds like a nightmare! Hope you have recovered from the shame.

It's the first day of my holiday and I had to be up at the crack of dawn as we are in the middle of completely renovating our lounge and the builder was coming to knock out the old chimney for the new one. I am just having a rest after clearing up in between making 2 dozen mince pies! I'm supposed to be on holiday!

Had a traumatic experience at weekend - tried on some maternity jeans at Dorothy Perkins and couldn't even get my leg in a size 12 which I usually take. Either they were designed for a stick insect with a bump or my legs are much larger than I thought..... I hope the maternity clothes thing gets better when the time comes...

Just reporting back - got admitted to hospital on Sunday, kept in until this morning (Tuesday already here) - quite traumatic considering I thought I was just going to go for a scan and then come home again! Anyway, not good news, MC definite but still need one more HCG test on Christmas Eve to make sure no lurking tissue remnants in tubes. So long as HCG continues to drop, it's a good thing.

So - thank you all for you kind thoughts, I hope you all have lovely Christmases and properous New Years and pregnancies!

WestYorkshireGirl · 22/12/2009 11:34

Really sorry to hear that ThumbleBells - my thoughts are with you.

so to hear that page62 - it's always rotten but it seems particularly rotten at this time of year. I know it's not particularly the MN thing but have a sympathetic ((hug)).

skihorse · 23/12/2009 18:23

I'm so sorry thumblebells and page62

I had my scan today - all is well - just one in there - a little wriggler who never stopped waving his hands & feet!

GhoulsAreLoud · 23/12/2009 19:27

So sorry to hear your news thumblebells and page62

Mousemole I hope you are going to manage to enjoy xmas after the swine flu. How did your scan go? Mine was yesterday and all looked good. Just the one as well!

WestYorkshireGirl · 23/12/2009 20:50

Good news on your scan, Ghouls.

I have had mine through for 7 Jan - for some reason started to feel a bit anxious about it after not worrying particularly until now e.g. what if the baby isn't alive?.

Have several family 'dos' over the christmas period e.g. cousins and aunties/uncles and don't know whether to announce news or not. Although am 10 weeks, wonder if best to wait until after scan, MIL/FIL been asking when it will be OK to tell people and we are saying after the scan. I know they want to tell the wider family and it makes sense to announce at a gathering, but I don't know how you announce to a room full of people without is sounding a bit, self-indulgent? It's all a bit of a dilemma....

mousemole · 24/12/2009 09:54

hi ghouls glad your scan went well. Mine was fine too, just one and it survived swine flu ! Cant believe it is xmas tomorrow, depsite inches of snow outside I dont feel that festive. Although am very very glad we are not driving 5hrs in the snow to the in laws. Now the swine flu has subsided the nausea is back with a vengeance. Luckily my weight gain has slowed- 7lbs for me so far. With the other 2 I had gained a stone by now

tobago04 · 24/12/2009 18:46

Hi all,

Hi everyone. I hope you all had a good Xmas.
Glad so many scans went well. I had my scan date and it is next monday (4th) morning. I am really looking forward to it (although I have a long weekend of coping with the horrible in laws in between).

Have been a bit sick too (although not SF) with very bad cough/sore throat. Yesterday I coughed so much that I actually vomitted. I really felt a lot of empathy for all of you with MS as it is not nice!

Wishing you all a Happy New Year (and prompt recovery to those of you who are suffering!)

WestYorkshireGirl · 01/01/2010 12:32

Happy New Year everyone. Feeling pleased that I managed to stay up to 1.30am which was a miracle although am feeling it a bit now! Hope you all had good christmases and New Years. I weighing up whether to brave Dr Who tonight as in my current emotional state, I will no doubt be a wreck all the way through!
