sorry to burst your bubble tink but we sold DD2's as she didn't really like it after the first 10mins... screamed every time i put her in it. It only got £10!!

Kayzr · 04/12/2009 10:41

Just posting so I'm on the thread. Though my 'threads I'm on' hasn't been working for weeks now so I might lose you anyway!!!

IWroteOffLightningMcQueen · 04/12/2009 10:53

LOL Tink, great title, thanks for new thread as well

Can't, what's wrong with her foot? (must have missed it)

That's a shame about the re-sale price, DS3 is too big for his now, daren't put him in it because he rocks it so hard it would tip over, and he can climb out of it!

Can't believe he is going to be 1 at the end of the month, this time last year we had all the fiasco of the no movement, leaky waters, little water, scan's, traces every bloody day, stays in hospital, him not growing.... someways it seems like years ago, someways like yesterday, but to look at him now you'd never know he went through all of that!

Boys are poorly DS1 has had a cough/sore throat for about a week now, DS2 has a really chesty cough and high temp (am checking him every 2 minutes waiting for the spike, if I spot it coming I can usually stop him fitting, once the spike is over I can relax!) and DS3 is being really grumpy, think it's his teeth though rather than illness as such. Bless them all, feel really bad for them, I'd been ill all last week, so they barely left the house except for DS1's school, and now they're all cooped up again.

No word about the chairs yet, there surely can't be many people who order just a table or just a chair, they are made in the same factory, by the same people, how hard can it be to deliver them together?

And we have a loofah on the loose Picked DS3's jumper/hoodie thing up off the cabinet hung it up on the coat hooks, saw the blardy thing clambering all over it, didn't know whether to run and hide or whack it, so I sent DS1 in to get his coat(!!) last saw it creeping into DH's coat, am not risking my life and limbs looking for it, but am keeping a very close eye on the hall door incase it makes it's escape! Who ever invented them, need their brains looked at under the microscope to see exactly where they've gone wrong! Useless things just there to scare the hell out of me!

Moosy · 04/12/2009 12:27

Heehee, I like the title

Bump is still very much here - did lots of bouncing on the ball yesterday evening and it did feel a bit lower for a while but is back to normal again now, I just can't imagine anything happening so trying not to think about it.

Can't, I'd definitely take her back to the Dr if she's not better, they could've missed something in A&E. Better safe than sorry and all that.

Glad you've got a good sleeper IDOB, she sounds brilliant!

Poor little O with his teeth Bumps, are there any more on their way do you think?

cantmummyhaveabreak · 04/12/2009 12:38

Wow moos- very patient of you!! I only got to 32 weeks but i was fed up by then... obviously didn't want to have her then but i think by time i'd got to 36/37weeks i'd have been dying to give birth!! haha!! However, had i had the talent of cake-making like you maybe i'd have been cramming as many as possible into myself while i can still pass it off as baby

Lightening- DD1 fell over when we were xmas shopping nearly 2wks ago now. We honestly thought it was broken and rushed home from cheshire to get her to the local hospital. Anyway 2 x-rays later and they said it was just muscle/tissue damage. they said she'd be back to normal within a week. But she can only just walk on it still. I really want to take her to the GP or back to A&E for a second look but DH said if was anything like when he damaged his muscle in his foot it will still hurt.... So i'm in 2 minds. I mean she's not in pain unless she's trying to walk a distance, she can get around the house just fine, and is coping ok at nursery... BUT i'm getting bloody sick of pushing the blimin heavy double buggy!! I have to jump on the handle to get it up a kirb!! Might be helping my weight loss but i am sick of it now!! It probably would have been easier if she'd broken it as the cast would make me not so bothered.

IWroteOffLightningMcQueen · 04/12/2009 13:38

Moos, that baby of yours is going to be so chilled and relaxed!

Can't, I would take her back as well, if she has done more serious damage than just bruising the longer it's left untreated, the longer it will take to get better. Bless her, 2 weeks is a long time for something to be hurting.

Cor blimey, t'is a bit chilly today. Having said that, I have been sat around doing nothing, both boy's are asleep, house is clean and tidy, nothing to do. I was doing some nonograms but started nodding off and that would never do, so thought I'd wake myself up with some MN!

Brrrrr, just had parcel delivered, it is bloody freezing out there, nothing to do with my laziness after all.

cantmummyhaveabreak · 04/12/2009 13:46

Lightening.... we've got plans tomorrow (and i dont fancy taking all 3 DC's to A&E alone)... but DH is off on sunday so the plan is that if she's no different on it by then DH will take her back.

It's chilly here too... have washed all the pots, changed mine and DH's bedding, and DD2's. Will do DD1 and Ds's tomorrow... have got the 2nd lot of washing in for today... have hoovered the stairs and cleaned the bathroom and can't be arsed doing anything else!!

IWroteOffLightningMcQueen · 04/12/2009 14:18

I've done all the beds already this week, refuse to do them again just for the sake of it! However both boy's are now awake, well, DS2 is awake but... erm slumbering I think you'd call it, bless him, he can barely breathe without coughing all over the place

Your poor DD though, no chance of a gp appointment today? Save's an A&E trip.

It is really bitterly cold, looking at the sky, I wouldn't be supprised if it snowed TBH.

cantmummyhaveabreak · 04/12/2009 14:25

no chance of an app this week as they wont clas sit as an 'emergency app' and said it'd be best to take her to A&E- fools!!

IWroteOffLightningMcQueen · 04/12/2009 14:59

Well yes to be fair, if the doctor suspected something more than bruising, which you'd have to assume it is I think at this point, 2 weeks is a long time for just bruising, he's only going to send you to A&E anyway.

Poor little thing, is it bothering her? Other than the pain I mean, is she playing up with it?

cantmummyhaveabreak · 04/12/2009 15:50

no, not at all... other than when it comes to walking a fair distance at faster than she can go and the little limp/hobble she has with it she's not complaining it hurts her at all.

tinkerbellstinkerbells · 04/12/2009 16:10

well no phone calls yet!! regarding activity centre same here lightning bracken rocks in hers 2 she is just on the move pulling up onto everything

perhaps i will ebay then.

got an email saying it is free tom and sun

perhaps £20 will be better to start with

OP posts:
bumpsnowjustplump · 04/12/2009 16:23

Oh the screeching didn't stop all night and hasn't stopped all day either.... So glad that he wasn't like this yesterday... This must be the equivalent of man flu but for teeth... He was very sick all over me just now so we are all bathed and in our PJ's already...

We have had 3 teeth in 9 days moosy and think there is another one just about to break through at the bottom. Once that does come through he will have all four front teeth and I hope that he then has a break!!!

Keep up the bouncing Moosy she may still come on my bithday yet..

tinkerbellstinkerbells · 04/12/2009 16:28

shall i ebay tom?

only one item out of 3 is in paper

worried about paying fees!!

OP posts:
IWroteOffLightningMcQueen · 04/12/2009 16:38

Is it actually still hurting her then, or has she just got into the habbit of limping? Maybe when her feet start aching, just as they would normally, it's either reminding her about the limp (whether she knows it or not?!!), or just because it will still be healing it does get sore then?

I think I'd still get it looked at TBH, just in case. A lad I used to know broke his leg when he was about 6 or 7, he didn't get it plastered for over a month, still had a limp when I left Bedford which was 10+ years later.

Good luck with eBay Tink

IWroteOffLightningMcQueen · 04/12/2009 16:43

Sorry x posts with a couple then, was texting at the same time!

If it's free to list Tink, it can't do any harm.

LB, bless him, not fair on them is it? DS1's all came at once, it wasn't fun, for any of us! At least it should get it out of the way a bit quicker. Do you give him calpol? It doesn't always seem to work, but it calms the screeching a bit.

cantmummyhaveabreak · 04/12/2009 16:45

No it doesn't really hurt her. apart from if i try and get her to walk at any faster than snail pace... The limp is constant, not just after a bit of walking- it's all the time. From the second she gets out of bed.

Think we will be taking her to A&E on sunday... I am worried that she's walking on a broken leg!!

bumpsnowjustplump · 04/12/2009 16:50

He has had calpol so waiting for that to kick in... really can not wait for 7 o clock tonight when Mark gets back!!! Is is under orders to get some wine on his way home as well... Poor thing slept on the sofa last night!! he he he.

essenceofSES · 04/12/2009 18:18

Hello!

Quick one from me as I'm off out tonight with post natal group ladies Yay!!! Just going for a pizza but it'll be nice to have an evening out.

Bumps - poor O. Hope the Calpol kicks in.

Cant - I'd def get DH to take her if no change by Sun. As others have said, better safe than sorry.

Tink - sounds like EBay may be a good option. Thanks for the new thread

Moos - you sound v chillaxed

Lightning - hope DSs get better soon.

Ginger - I meant to say I seem to have some of the lovely brownies left here Feel a bit guilty but they'll be enjoyed!

I also seem to have a lovely teeny tiny tupperware box that someone left here yesterday (Bumps?) Any claimers??!

tinkerbellstinkerbells · 04/12/2009 18:29

bumpsnowjustplump · 04/12/2009 20:54

ses it could be mine if it was empty then it probably was

FollowingYonderSTAR · 04/12/2009 22:02

Evening all.
Ses - thanks for hosting a lovely meet-up yesterday. Was lovely to meet you - O is so gorgeous and such a good baby (especially to nap through my rowdy not-so-little one
That may well be my little tub (tiny, square and with blue lid?) - realised I had probably left it. You are welcome to it (can be handy for little snacks - have had it for years and have several. If not, please just dispose of it.
Bumps - sorry for poor night with your DS, hope he is better tonight (not another tooth surely?!) Was lovely to meet you yesterday. Your DD and DS are soooo gorgeous too. DS had a lovely time playing with your DD and he was thrilled with his cake - doesn't seem to have had any ill effects yet with the egg too, so that's twice now in the last month he's had egg in cake and not had a reaction, which is fab (fingers crossed).
Gingerbreadlatte and Gruff - was lovely to meet and your DC too. Am just sorry that I seemed to spend about half an hour at the end trying to sort jigsaws out with DS to make sure we didn't leave any pieces (note to self - while jigsaws may be DS' favourite toy they are not so practical to take along )
Well, I may be begging to do it again - despite having a nap before we left, DD slept all the way home too, then went down by 8pm last night and only woke for 1 feed at 1am between then and 5.30am (woo hoo) - the socialising obviously wore her out. She has had two good naps today too (I even got to sleep during the early one ). So, we'll see how tonight goes. Think you are all going to think I have been telling porkies about her sleeping given that she fell asleep while we were there and then let me move her at least three times without waking! Hope we are turning a corner. Have had a brilliant day with both today - she had a nice long nap after lunch, which meant DS and I could play (well I sorted all his craft things, while he played with them, but we were doing it together and I felt good for getting stuff done too ).

Can't - sorry for DD1's leg still being poorly - definitely agree to go back to A&E on Sun if no better.

Tink - we bought our activity station on ebay for £25 from local seller. I would only buy one second-hand as they are so expensive new and think there will be plenty of people thinking same.

Lightning - can't believe that about your table and chairs, hope the chairs arrive soon. Hope your boys get well soon. Can't believe DS3 is almost 1 - this time last year really doesn't seem that long ago!

Kayz - your DS is 1 so soon - how exciting, our 1st wagon baby is nearly 1 - will he be 1 before the last (for now) wagon baby arrives?

Right - just been up to resettle DD, so may ahave cross-posted. At least she resettled without a feed.

Hope you all have a good weekend.

cantmummyhaveabreak · 05/12/2009 08:13

Morning- 4th morning in a row of being woken at 5am by the DC's.... DD2 went back off without a feed though, but then just as i was dropping back off the other 2 woke and kept me awake!!

DD2 then woke at 7ish so i fed her and she's gone back to sleep.

We're off out at 9.30ish so i plan to leave her there till 9ish if she doesn't wake before then. Will give me enough time to feed and dress her as the other 2 are nearly sorted already.

DH is on his works xmas night out tonight, indian meal then off to a club, he's not drinking tho, so he'll be home just after midnight hopefully... So i'll probs be about this evening bored and wanting company!!

Going to help my sister sort out her flat today so will keep me busy and hopefully burn some extra calories!!
