ARRIVED
1st Dec - Missmarjoribanks - Thomas William Francis (33+4)

Went to have a look round the hospital last night - some very shattered looking new dad's wandering around the place! Trying to decide if I want to get in the pool or not, but saying that, it might not be available anyway on the day...

Just got the builders in ripping apart our bathroom, hoping this LO stays put until they've finish (so another reason to try to get to at least 37 weeks!)

CantThinkofFunnyName · 04/12/2009 09:21

OMG! Well I was dreaming about Alibobins last night and that when I got on this thread this morning there would be news of her delivery - but I was no way expecting the news about MissMarjoriBanks!!!

Many congrats and I do hope that little Thomas will be home with you soon.

Now this has become v v real hasn't it? Think I am going to be even more addicted to this thread over the next few weeks than before

Congratulations MrsMarjoribanks! Hope baby Thomas is home soon. I have added myself to the list as I now have a date for my c-section...

We haven't even got a list of possible names for this baby (DC3) yet I spent endless hours thinking about names for DS1 and DS2. Also haven't got any of the baby stuff out. I think I might be in denial!

ARRIVED
1st Dec - Missmarjoribanks - Thomas William Francis (33+4)

Sixmincepiessoontobeseven · 04/12/2009 11:05

Hooray for babies.

Congratulations missmarjoribanks First on the arrivals list. Thomas is a lovely name and a good weight. Hope he's home soon.

lottie I still love eva and ava but dh doesn't so, we're with Austin and Orla/Imogen at the mo. subject to change of course. Thomas would be no good for us as surname Jones and I don't think I'll inflict another Tom Jones on the world, although he may look after us in our old age with his singing millions.

ali hope your doing ok, must admit even with baby no5 not heard of electric shock type pains but it happened to cantthink so who knows.

Hope everyone else is ok.

I am getting just a tad excited about having new baby snuggles. 33+6

somewhathorrified · 04/12/2009 11:51

Wow, congratulations missmarjoribanks !

Welcome to all the newcomers, always nice to see new names.

Went to my first antenatal class yesterday. I have to say everyone looked so glamourous compared to me. So feeling a little down, lonely and frumpy today. Normally I don't care about looking scruffy, it's just me, but I'm now starting to think that it's going to isolate me more than I already am. Sorry I'm being pathetic and need to mentally re-adjust.

I'm suprised at all the Nicholas's and the lack of Noel's with the xmas connection. I do agree girls names are so much easier than boys.

hurrydownthechimneytonight · 04/12/2009 12:02

aww congratulations on the arrival of baby Thomas! a baby already gosh seems to early His size sounds fantastic hope he is home with you soon what a christmas you will all have!

(changed my name for christmas from Iateallthecreameggs, its not easter any more!!)

shinybaubles · 04/12/2009 13:03

Someone tell me to get a grip please - I am really nervy today, jumping at the slightest sound, shaking, and bursting into tears - for no good reason. And I am normally the opposite of this .

hurrydownthechimneytonight · 04/12/2009 13:06

aww I dont even know what to suggest shiny have you any idea why your feeling this way? Perhaps the crying is hormonal have you anyone who can come keep you company?

How man y weeks left have you got? xx Im here if you need some company ill be online for a while

shinybaubles · 04/12/2009 13:20

Thanks hurrydownthechimmney dh thinks the baby is sitting on something releasing the wrong hormones .
Have never been like this before, have spring cleaned the downstairs and cooked 3 meals for the freezer - maybe I have just done too much, but I feel fine otherwise.
Well it's 20 days till the csection...

Sixmincepiessoontobeseven · 04/12/2009 13:21

Hi hurrydown great festive name lol

somewhat I really wouldn't worry about everyone else being more glamorous than you, they won't look that good with sick on their louboutins (sp? obviously I don't own any lol)or green baby poo under their beautifully manicured nails. I literally go home form work have a bath and don my pjs complete with slippers and spotty dressing gown. So anyone who sees me outside probably thinks I'm scruffy (I drawn the line at shopping in pjs though ). Bonus is as from Monday I won't have to get dressed at all - no work. Don't feel down/lonely you'll have a snuggly baby soon so there will be no getting dressed for months woohoo!!

Sixmincepiessoontobeseven · 04/12/2009 13:25

Sorry x posted. hope you feel better soon shiny maybe you have just overdone it a bit. Get a brew and have a sit/lie down for an hour. Take care

canthink I'm with you on the addicted to the thread, and as I have no work from Monday what do you suggest I do. Was hoping to get organised but I'm excited for more babynews.

hurrydownthechimneytonight · 04/12/2009 13:40

aw shiny same as six suggested grab a cuppa, maybe a duvet and chill infront of a good movie for a few horus and rest. knowing the C section is in 20 days must be very scarey.

lol six your so right! I have my first ante natal classes next week and shall wear what im comfy in! If I make friends there is no point pretending to be someone im not once baby is here.

Ben on mat leave for a while now and everyone who sees me says i am massive and wont make it to 40 weeks! Not without scaffolding anyway!

See consultant Monday to get re-measured see if im still measuring big, if I am then I will be having a scan and get to see my little boy again! Yayyyy! x

CantThinkofFunnyName · 04/12/2009 13:42

Shiny - I know the c/s is booked for Xmas Eve - but what was your original due date? Our hormones seriously mess around during this period so its no wonder you are feeling out of sorts. Don't worry about it and just go with the flow. Sounds like DH is very supportive and if you need to just wander off to your bedroom or bathroom for a good cry. One day out of the 40 wk pg won't hurt will it!

x

shinybaubles · 04/12/2009 13:54

Thanks everyone due date is 5th Jan.

somewhat there's nothing glamarous about pregnancy, my pj's are my best friends .

hurrydownthechimneytonight · 04/12/2009 13:59

aww bless your a few weeks ahead of me so i cant understand how you must be feeling! Hope your curled up in your Pj's starting to feel a bit more relaxed xx

Just keep thinking shiny only 19 more sleeps to snuggle butties

hurry my dh is a scaffolder so would do you some good rates if you need it.lol

I have 2.5 hours left at work, not that I'm counting or anything. Me and my pal have had a farewell lunch of Beef chow mein, fried rice, chips and curry sauce to share. Fat B*&%$rs, and shes not even pg. I am now seriously uncomfortable in the under bust area.

I'm sure there are some loose ends I should be tying up. Oh well

hurrydownthechimneytonight · 04/12/2009 14:33

ooh six are you starting your mat leave today then? How many weeks are you? Im 32+ 5 i think! Im fairly sure I am!

Yum food sounded nice! Leave leftiover work bits for them to sort out!

mistletoekisses · 04/12/2009 14:42

Shiny - to you. I second the advice on here. Sit down with a nice cup of tea and biscuit and just relax a little. Have a good cry also if thats what you need, hormones are probably just giving you an off day. Please dont worry about it too much. The last few weeks of pregnancy are really tough both emotionally and physically. I think it is always in these weeks that the reality of the baby actually hits. With DS, I was a bag of nerves.

Somewhat - don't put anything on appearance or first impressions. You'll be surprised at who you end up becoming friends with. And persevere with the class - you will all have new babies to bond you together, and that is quite a strong bond to have.

Lottie - well I for one love the girls names you have picked out!

All your lunches sound heavenly! I am saving myself for tonight. Am taking DH to the West End for a birthday surprise....early pre theatre supper followed by a show I hope that he will love! I just hope I stay awake through it all!

Catch up tomorrow.

Seconf lot of hugs for Shiny
