Oh no - I posted a lovely long message yesterday in response to babies born, catching up on the thread etc - but doesn't appear to have made it here - harumph !

Liny - fab news, congratulations
FPCT - fab news, congratulations (sorry I wrote so much more here yesterday)
Crumpette - hmm.... sound a horrid situation. Where in London are you?
Devotion - urgh - hope that gets sorted for you asap!

Had stitches out today and Olivia had her heel prick thing. Weighed her and she's gone down to 5lb 12oz . Poor little love. Still, she's feeding ok - but just soooo tiny.

Oh CTFN, that was a horrific CS. I actually shouted DH through to read it in horror. You are very brave, some folk would really be traumatised by that. At least you know that's it, no more PG or scary CS and 3 beautiful kids.

Almost puts me off having a third !

However, she is gorgeous and worth it eh!

I have just worked out how to look at pics so been having fun. london - they are fab pics and twins very cute. I looked at a few others too, all gorgeous, wee Thomas is lovely.

Crumpette, Your DD was beautiful xx

I wish I had time to put on profile and photos of DS and DD (Evan & Olivia) but this is the most time I have had on MN since she was born!

london I sympathise, my DH gets a sore back and Id almost hate him if he got one now - ha! Your right too, doesn't help he was an arse before it either. As if we need the stress of their moods too!
Me and DH had a little fight the other night. I feel that since im feeding and he is off work for 5 weeks he should do some nappy changes in the night but he is all moody when I ask. Annoys the crap out of me as the feed can last 1.5 hours-2 hours if you include winding and the nappy change is a welcome break to lie flat in bed for five.

He said sorry last night and it was just because he is being woken up and isnt quite awake so may appear moody . The tutting gave him away!

liny congrats, lovely name.
8 girls and 4 boys so far!

My knackered brain has now forgotten any other posts I have read.

How is little jacob??

Any more news from nomorebooze?

Recovery vibes to all those with flu and to CTOFN following that "easy option" c-section delivery! Baby looks beautiful so WD on having made it this far... and on the bright side this will be your last so maybe in time to come, you will miss it all Congrats to Liny!

devotion What a nightmare re the plumbing! Considering everything that has happened, you seem relatively calm. I would be fuming, would probably have left my house to stay somewhere else and billed the management company and developers for the expense!

I used to work in this line for one of the utilities companies. Where 2 houses' private drains join, they become the a sewer. I presume that your property is not pre-1937 (if yes, then anything that is a problem on the sewer even if it is within your building is the responsibility of the utilities company). If your flat is post-1937, you can get in touch with the local council environmental health department who oversee and can help mediate between parties re problems on a private sewer. Basically if each flat pays its own council tax, they should help you resolve this with the management company/ developers and might be able to advice you further. I'd also be in touch with the developers to find out why this has happened - don't know too much about domestic plumbing but I am sure there is supposed to be some kind of valve/ manifold to stop sewage going backwards up a system so I would presume that either they have done a shoddy job or something's gone wrong with the system they did put in.

crumpette scary stuff re the allergy - that sounds like hives which usually you would use antihistamines to treat but like decongestants, is something they prefer not to give you during pg.

mistletoe and crumpette My MW as my last appt spent a good few minutes telling me to monitor the baby]s movements and said that it should keep moving and that it was a myth that they move less becuase of less room. She said you might feel it less when it is engage and facing inwards but told me to call if I was at all worried. I know different practices have different policies but I thought I'd just pass that on.

Now that I have started shopping for baby clothes (yay for Dec/ Jan sales) I just realised how gender specific clothes are. Is that a bugbear for just me? I mean newborn stuff is mainly white or cream, otherwise anything from 3 months onwards seems to be specific for 1 gender. Whatever is wrong with primary colours and neutral cartoons/ prints?

Oh Happy 2010 to all!
